last December a sales person sold my husband a 14 k solid gold small chain, Told him it was 14 k solid gold, cost 200$. I broke it today and took it in to get fixed. Turns out it is gold plated, not even gold filled, I know the difference. They would not fix it because it was a cheap plated. That is what the girl said. They sold it to my sweet gullible husband as solid gold for 200$ Gold filled I can understand bit plated is cheap. They lie and are cons! THEY SWITCHED MY BEAUTIFUL DIAMONDS TO SOME LOWER STONE!!! Okay. This happened in 2017... But I've been very sick and on disability so haven't remembered to write this. I went in with a ring, that I've found about a year prior, it was gorgeous!! 14k with 2 diamond flowers. Now, I KNOW they were diamonds ... It seriously looked like there was sparkly crushed gold in it. It sparkled so much I got compliments on it DAILY (was a bartender and teller at a Bank. I had lost a lot of weight. And needed to size it down. Also the prongs were coming a little loose and I was scared to loose the stones!! So I take it on, and they said they could fix it. My stupid butt told them that the ring had been found... And I knew they were diamonds, and seriously I wanted to get it appraised... It was that beautiful. So he was going to size it, add more gold to the prongs and check the diamonds... Something like that. It would be done in like 10 days. It was a foggy day when I picked it up. The guy said it wasnt diamonds and he thought it might be white sapphire... I thought that was strange but okay!! I loved the ring and it had a lot of gold. He brought the ring out with a black and white photo that he took the day I dropped it off... And says, "is this your ring??" And I said yes of course it is... You were the one who took it in! Then he made me sign something stating that it was my ring. And I did. Then he said something strange ... He said that white sapphire dulls easily, so I might want to get it cleaned regularly... I thought okay... They do free cleaning. But I told him I wasn't worried ... I've worn the ring for a year now and never had trouble with the sparkle in the stones ... In fact, it was the sparkle AT NIGHT that had me find it... In a dusty old rock parking lot!! He gave me a strange look but I didn't catch it at the time. I paid $900 BUCKS!!! for the gold and sizing it. $900. I take my ring home, wearing it of course, happy I didn't need a ring guard etc etc. it didn't sparkle much, but it was a dark rainy day. Well, I can SWEAR to you, they SWITCHED MY STONES!!! I SWEAR TO YOU... They SWITCHED MY STONES AND CHARGED ME 900 BUCKS!! I was so upset but couldn't go back in there and say anything because not only did I tell him I didn't know what stones it was... I signed the paper stating it was my ring, like a legal paper stating I examined it and it was mine .. but like I said... It was cloudy! There is no crushed gold...there is no rainbows...and NOOOO SPARKLE WHAT SO EVER! Well, I can't get my stones back... But I can certainly tell on them!!! read more

My daughter is getting married. Took a family wedding ring that belonged to her grandmother in to be resized. Ring was looked at for 30 seconds, and was told it needed all 27 points built up as well, from wear. First, the ring has one main diamond, and four diamond chips, so that is a total of 20 points, not 27. I was quoted almost $700 to resize the ring and build up the points, almost $1,000 if I wanted it done the same day. I was provided a hand written estimate. Made an appointment with Gem Factory in Bunker Hill. He stated the points had already been done previously and they did not need to be redone again. He charged $30 to resize the ring. I tipped him $20 for the amazing car side service, and was shocked what I was quoted and informed by Jurgens. read more

Wow! What a horrible example of customer service!! I had a custom job done to fashion my 2ct marquis diamond from my wedding ring (widowed) into a stud for my already pierced ear. White gold. The back stopped being functional within a month, however I had already left the country and had no recourse. And then COVID happened. I have now just returned after 3 years, and went into this establishment, speaking to the very man who did the work, only to be told that they would not replace the back at their expense because it had been too long. My boyfriend got me a beautiful amyethist ring for Valentine's. He gave it to me the night before, it needed resized. They told him he could bring it in Valentine's morning and they could resize it that same day. It was done a little after lunch. They did a fantastic job not a seam at all. I took in my wife's wedding ring and a pair of $125 earrings. I was charged almost $400 for cleaning her ring and adjusting earrings from Zales. They are the only Jewelers in town and to pay that much for what they did should be a crime. After going back and forth over the earrings I finally pick them up today with nothing fixed. A lot of people now know what they did and I'm contacting Better Business when I'm in a better mood. read more

My Tag Heuer was in need of a new battery so I went to have it replaced for $28 left the store pleased that was working again....and the young lady Amy was very pleasant . One week and a half later it had stopped again and I returned to the store and was met by another woman and told her my watch had stopped .... She told me that the watch probably needed to be serviced and cleaned and probably had a slow drain .... She hesitantly said she would replace it..... After about 10 minutes Amy brought me my watch and a receipt that said no charge / one time courtesy that said $0... fine thank you ... Amy said it's a slow drain... ok I said.....2 hrs after that I notice my watch is stopped ... time 11:13 am and my receipt was time stamped 11:13 am also the Exact time I was at the store .... That tells me they did nothing!!! I will Never go back and they are not to be trusted!!! If I could give them a star minus I would!!! Never buy a ring at this place they are shysters in my opinion. The ring that I purchased I had appraised by their in-house, joke!, Appraiser who appraised it for only 1800 which is half of what I paid. Surprise surprise! My instincts were right again. So I asked Carl who answered the phone and would not give me the owner to speak with but he promised that he would call back and I've been waiting over a month and no call. I asked him why would they appraise a ring for half its value and he said quote well everyone see something a little different! LOL so I guess that means a 6 year old and a professional appraiser who spent years learning this stuff and spent thousands of dollars on her equipment is equivalent to a 6-year-old who just looks at something and says hey I guess it's worth this much! They would not work with me they would not give me the money back that I'm due or even part of it or would they call me back and I called them today and guess what it goes right to voicemail at 11:00 in the morning when they're open and I called 10 times. Don't buy a class ring from this company online. The pictures of the ring online and checkout options are very deceptive. The ring sent was 1/3 the size of a normal ring and you can't even read the degree or emblem on the ring. At first I thought it was a joke. I was just in to get a quote on having a ring of mine re-done. The piece has no stones and is very simple; I had it custom-made at a small, independently owned local jeweler in another small town. It cost me $500 total, including the metal and the cost for the custom fabrication. I want it melted down and refabricated into a simple band. Because I want a "custom piece," Jürgens quoted me at over $1000 regardless of the style I wanted and regardless of the fact that I already own the metal and was not asking any additional metal to be added. That was simply the fabrication cost. This is ludicrous. When I said I would think about it, the saleswoman began to press me, trying to convince me that there was no way it could be made cheaper, that their time was just THAT precious. Even though I hadn't argued with her, just said I'd think about it. She also tried very hard to get me to bring in other old pieces that I had, to bring the price down. They made the offer that if I gave my piece as a trade-in, they could order me a pre-made band from elsewhere...for $800. AFTER the discount for my trade-in. Gold bands simply do not cost $800, and the proof is on my finger. I won't be going back. I felt pressured and scammed...and I didn't even pay them any money. The only upside was that they sweetly cleaned my engagement ring for free. I'm all for local shopping, but this is just straight upcharging. read more

They have expertly restrung a precious string of pearls, built up the prongs on an heirloom diamond ring and helped us with so many minor repairs. They are knowledgeable, generous with their help and when they fix or upgrade an item, it is better than new! They are committed to being the finest jeweler on the coast. Brianna and Karl are wonderful to talk with and they are honest with their opinions. If it costs more to fix the piece than it's worth, they tell us. They clean and check your jewelry for free so at least go in and make sure your diamonds are secure and shined up! These people are terrible....won't give correct estimates, their store is TEENY TEENY TINY....I could barely fit myself and my son in there, and all teeny weeny diamonds, I called to see how much to set a stone $150.......!!!!!!!!!!! Are you kidding????? And when I said "wow, that's spendy..." the lady argued with me...DRIVE TO EUGENE AND GO TO KAY'S, they will at least have reasonable prices, you'll pay less for the gas. I took in a ring that I have owned for many years that needed to be sized. They quoted me a price of $212.00. I had never heard of such a thing, granted it is a large ring and did need to go up But this seemed very high. I was overcharged for several items in 2016. Nice pieces of jewelry that I wanted fixed. Two of which the stones fell out of in about 7 months. Then a 3rd piece that I bought there that was 14K white gold with sapphires and the sapphires all started falling out in about 6 months. I took them back later than I wanted because I moved for a couple of months and was very ill. When I came back with receipts, I was told they only have a 30 day free repair plan. I have never had 10k, sterling silver, or 14k jewelry fall apart on me in 30 days or 6-7 months when repaired or bought brand new. They did nothing to help me, but tell me I could have the repaired for at least $1000 or more. I have lost 2 rubies, a garnet, and 5 small sapphires. I am never going there again and will be taking my business to another local shop in Bunker Hill or Eugene/Springfield where I can guarantee better service. I even reported them to BBB and they never responded to my 2 emails or the ones sent to them by BBB. I am now going to take them to the consumer product dept.gov. This is a shoddy way to do business and they think they have a captive audience. Not a good way to keep business in town. I, too, like to stay local as long as I can. read more
