Trying to get away from our normal breakfasts spots we ended up here on a rare Friday morning alone. Wait time for two was about twenty minutes. You leave your phone number, they say they call you when the table is ready. I didn't receive a call but luckily my window was open and I heard them call our name. Once inside we were seated in a booth which was nice and roomy. We ordered the cinnamon roll French toast breakfast and the chicken fried steak as well. The cinnamon roll French toast was not very good compared to others I've had. The biscuits and Gravy and chicken fried steak were good. The food comes out fairly quickly; the service itself is fast not super friendly but it's not a deal breaker to me it's one of those old school breakfast spots and I'm sure some people have been here for a very long time. I left my card on the table to pay, I wish someone would have mentioned that you pay 3% more when using it I would have pulled out some cash. First time coming here didn't have to wait long to be seated. Restaurant was nice and clean. Staff was really nice. Didn't take long for us to get our food but took them a while to bring my mom's toast out. We went for breakfast yesterday and the service and food were delicious. The seating area is small so you may have a very short wait but it's worth it. The staff was very attentive and friendly. I had a tiny issue with my food and a woman I assume is either the owner or manager came over and quickly handled it no questions asked. I really appreciate her customer service. Jus'Jo's is a down home kind of restaurant. With a massive menu and super-friendly and attentive servers, I would have given it 4 stars. However ... my food was mediocre. I ordered a Reuben sandwich with a side salad. The corned beef came on 2 small slices of marbled rye with a little slice of cheese and a spoonful of sauerkraut. The meat had been shredded and grilled to a crisp so the ends were exceptionally dry. A generous portion of salad came with lettuce, 2 anemic slices of tomato (it's not their season), 2 thin rings of purple onion, a few mini slices of carrots and a good- sized ramekin of ranch dressing. My sister ordered eggs, bacon and a side of Jo's famous biscuits and gravy. She slicked her plate clean. Apparently many of their other entrees are worth a repeat, yet not my order that cost $12. Our entire tab including drinks (sis drank coffee and I sipped on soda) came to a hefty $49.00+. read more

This place is small, cozy and seemingly staffed by positive attitude family and/or tight knit folks that really make you feel welcome. Table service was prompt, and the menu has quite a selection of goodies to satisfy just about any appetite. Just make sure you come hungry, as the portions here are no joke! Definitely the best breakfast in Fresno! We were told it was the best but that it is always full in the mornings so we came to Jo's late morning. It was so packed! We were 6th on a waitlist and almost didn't stay but we weren't rushed for time and the food looked so good we decided to be patient. So worth it! Also that being said with 6 groups in front of us we were at a table eating our breakfast in less than 45min. The staff is amazing, they definitely have a routine down and it works! Even though every table was full and the staff were running in circles it was organized circles haha our coffee cups were never empty, sides or extras asked for were quickly at our table, as soon as a table left it was cleaned and someone else sat. We were very impressed at how the place ran so smoothly. Now the food, it was amazing!!! Many places boast to have the best biscuits and gravy so my husband tries them all. In many places we found that the gravy while good still has a flour taste. Not even a hint of that here! Per my husband its the best biscuits and gravy he's had. Also their cinnamon roll french toast was super yummy! For us definitely a shareable thing for the table because its so rich. If you have a sweet tooth when it comes to breakfast order this! What a hidden gem of a place this was, easily the best, and I MEAN THE BEST cinnamon roll I've ever eaten in my life. Chef Kari put over 20 years of love and experience in each roll. We had dietary restrictions and she literally took the time to go over what menu items could be substituted vs what couldn't. My wife orders the French toast and Tri-Tip breakfast special. Jus' Jo's has always been that placs that I've seen while driving down Shaw, but I've never been intrigued to come try it out. I finally caved in one day and was greeted by friendly staff and a 45 minute wait. The restaurant itself has pretty limited seating, so a lot of patrons waited outside on benches until spots opened up. No wonder people stay for the wait, because this was probably the best brunch place I've ever been to in Fresno! Their plate size is a lot bigger than expected, so be ready to share big plates among your party. I recommend getting one savory dish & one sweet dish to balance out the flavors and try more of their menu. If you have to get one thing, I would highly recommend their Cinnamon Roll French Toast, which combines the two scrumptious desserts into one beautiful dish. They bring your food out as it's ready; which is nice.. eat it while it's hot; however the downside is that some people at your table maybe eating sooner than others; or some of your items might not come out until later. I ordered the special banana crème waffle combo.... Omg it tasted so good like eating grandma's banana pudding. Fresh banana, whipped cream and even nuts on top;even a vanilla wafer. I could of just eaten this by itself. However my combo also came with eggs and either bacon or sausage. My other half ordered meat lovers omelet; he said it was good and plenty of meat inside. My friends ordered a steak; cooked to perfection ; and tender. And my other friend ordered a red, white and blue waffle. Fresh fruit and waffles cooked correctly. Must say this Resturant takes allergies very seriously and even takes it that extra step and bring you the labels on certain spices so you can see for yourself what's in it. Thought this place was good for breakfast with family. We had a party of 6 and had to wait for a bit in 100 degree valley heat. No fun lol. So do keep that in mind if you have a bigger party, be prepared to wait. I saw a family waiting in their car with AC on lol. Getting our orders taken and food coming out unfortunately took a while. Best breakfast around. My son and I are pretty picky about breakfast and Jus' Jo's knocked it out of the park. I had the chorizo omelet with biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were fluffy and the gravy was the best in Fresno. Sometimes chorizo can be overwhelming in eggs but Jus' Jo's made it with the perfect ratio of eggs, chorizo, and cheese. The service deserves it's own paragraph. WOW! My coffee cup was never empty, never had to ask for more water or juice and so polite. You ever just need a pancake? I needed a pancake, so I came here. And I'm so glad I did. I also got a waffle. Nothing else. Simple day. Simple, but one of the best pancakes and best waffles I ever had. I don't know what it is about the batter, but it had the best flavor. I don't think I've ever used so little syrup when I ate a pancake or a waffle. They were that good. I'm usually smothering them in syrup to have some kind of flavor going on... not needed here. Ok we used to love this place and by the looks the other day people still do and I'm not complaining about the food but the price increases!!! I had a regular omelet nothing fancy bacon jack cheese and a cup of coffee $30 with a $4 tip! I heard of this place years ago and kept meaning to check it out, but would go to the same breakfast spot because it was familiar. My parents were visiting and asked them if they wanted to try a new restaurant I heard of, so they agreed to try it too. When we arrived a server greeted us and directed us where we could sit. The menu had an abundance of amazing selections. Our server was amazing to Explain the breakfast quesadilla I ended up ordering. She was so nice and loved the vibe there. So the breakfast quesadilla gave me brunch vibes. I never heard of such an item. It's a mix of breakfast and lunch. And it's so much food, in the best way possible. My mom had the juniors French toast and my dad had the rib eye. We all loved the food! My dad said it's now his new favorite place :) The chef came to our table and spoke to my dad about his shoulder surgery and how they share the same physician, it was a great way to feel so invited.
