First time here and I have to say, I will be coming back. Had a great experience from the food to the service. Kelsey our server was so sweet. A set menu, you start off with some focaccia bread that's paired with their herb culture butter a great starter. Loved my moscato and my friend opted for a red wine. The first course, salad of golden beets with figs, prosciutto, goat cheese was delectable. The curried cauliflower soup was so creamy and rich. So much flavor from our second course, the gnocchi with ancho-braised beef was on point, sesame crusted tuna so beautifully displayed and seared lightly. Before our entrée, we had shaved ice as a palate cleanser that tasted like pear and cinnamon. We both got the Wagyu beef with mashed potatoes on the side, a little salty but cooked nicely. Finally finishing with dessert, the carrot bread pudding was delicious and cranberry almond cake was not too sweet. I want to also share they are reservation only, so make sure you book before you go. There is parking in the public parking lot just behind the restaurant and also street parking. The setting was quiet, low lighting, and semi-formal. Overall we had a wonderful evening.

I've been here a handful of times, the first many years ago before they started doing their current menu style. I really enjoy the prefix menu, and the course options that they currently offer. This is a special occasion for me, as the dinner for two with wine costs between $300-500 with tip. Making reservations online is preferred through their website. They have limited tables. You can also elect to do a wine pairing with each course. They come by and explain the origin of each wine and why it goes well with the plate that is coming out. The overall experience combined with the quality food is amazing. The 20% tip used to be mandatory and has recently changed. My only recommendation or preference is that I wish the coffee, chocolate and port was built into the prefix menu, and that the wait staff was dressed up slightly more. We will continue to make this a special occasion dining experience.

Appreciate the new pre fixed menu dining experience and remodel. Welcoming but intimate ambiance. Service was great and enjoyed all the courses. Love that they use local resources from local vendors.

My boyfriend and I went in on a Sunday around 5:30pm with no reservations. We were greeted and seated immediately by friendly staff! Before arrival we made sure to be aware that it was a prefixed menu and each person is $78, and each is served their own 4 course meal. Starter: - Each person is served their housemade focaccia; it was extremely herby and light served with a tablespoon of herb butter First Course: (we didn't get any photos) - Salad of Arugula, the dressing was perfect (not too much), the nectarines, pistachios, and goat cheese all mixed in beautifully giving a tangy and slightly sweet presence. - Watermelon salad: very lightly sweet, the tajin lime vinaigrette was a little too heavy, but loved the addition of red onions and cilantro, feta balanced it out adding a small touch of creaminess. Second Course: (our favorite) - Gnocchi with tomato concasse, packed with so much flavor in such a little dish. Gnocchi was perfectly soft and a small chew to it. Sauce was slightly roasty and garlicly. - Ratatouille, the polenta was super creamy and rich, topped with flavorful veggie ratatouille which balances very well with a light drizzle of san marzano vinaigrette giving a nice basil tang. Entrees (third course): - Chicken Roulade, chicken was very soft and juicy even when rolled in a thin layer of crust, with a nice slightly sour sauce with a nice light hints of herbs (oregano, maybe thyme + rosemary) - Wagyu Steak ($10 extra), meat comes medium rare (which I LOVE), very tender, served with light airy mashed potatoes and perfectly cooked green beans (cooked but still crunchy) dish was topped with a nice light and slightly creamy peppercorn sauce. Dessert: - Bread pudding, very light peach flavor with a nice sweet and creamy mascarpone. Personally I don't like the texture of bread pudding but my boyfriend enjoyed it, wish there was a little bit more peach. - Sans Rival Cake, this was perfect for me, crunchy, sweet, nutty. Layered crunchy cake with a light cashew meringue, and pistachio buttercream. The pistachio really stands out with I enjoyed and a side of fig compote (almost like a fig jam) very sweet and very prominent flavor. I suggest using it lightly but very delicious. Service: staff were very sweet and welcoming, they can offer details on each dish and are very helpful if in need of assistance. Overall Experience: definitely date night vibes and very calm ambiance. More suitable for adults, I don't suggest bringing children unless you want to pay $78 for each child so make sure to do your research. Will definitely be returning, possibly for an anniversary dinner!

What a fun experience! First time back to Trelio since they transitioned to a fixed menu! We loved it! Especially the extra effort to celebrate our special day by printing a celebratory note on our menu! The staff are kind and very knowledgeable! Make sure you snag a reservation early so you can dine in this cozy restaurant!

I went for a private party. For a private party you are away from the restaurant in a small quiet room. I thought we would be forgotten over there but the service team was on it. Some people ordered a bottle of wine while others just a glass and when they came the sommelier came and explained each bottle as well as letting us sample before we received our glass/bottle. This four course menu changes with the season and is a set price. I loved that they still had 2-3 options for each course and I can't wait to go back and try new things. Door was quick and delicious. I loved/hated the small portions because I wasn't too full by the time the main course came but sad because I wanted more of everything that's how good it was.

First fine dining experience for mother's day! Service - Was good! Lovely woman was super excited to guide us first timers around the menu and experience. Other waiters were full of enthusiasm and always kept an eye out for us. Ambience - Inviting and friendly. Super relaxed and intimate, lots of lovely plants, art, and some candlelight. Food - Interesting and delicious! We were full by the 2nd course. Lots of light flavors. 1st Course (salads) were peppery and slightly unusual for us but we enjoyed it very much. 2nd Course (pasta & risotto) were delicious! We got completely full off of those alone. Pork was fatty and juicy and the shrimp risotto was incredible. ENTREE was slightly less exciting given how amazing our 2nd course was. Duck was over seasoned but the puree sort of balanced it out. The veggie on the side was pretty tough as well. The wagyu was delicious but a little tough to chew but the broccoli and potato were amazing and made up for it entirely. DESSERT was incredible. The strawberry cannoli was super light and refreshing. My mom got a blueberry lemon bread which came with a small scoop of ice cream and it was pretty good as well. The price (~200) ended up being a little more than what I had planned for but it was worth it for my mom. This was an amazing first fine dining experience, thank you!

Michelin style restaurant with great food and amazing wine pairings! My wife and I went to Trelio for the first time since they changed to a more Michelin style restaurant with lots of small courses and they delivered! The atmosphere when we arrived was very clean and romantic with the candles on the tables and low lighting. When we sat down the menu had our party name on the front which is always a nice touch that makes the experience just a bit more special! When the waiter arrived and asked us if we wanted still or sparkling water they went over the menu opinion which are; full course and half course which you both have to agree upon. You cannot have 1 person do the half and the other the full. If you are planning the full course come hungry because even though they are small plates it's a decent amount of food! They also talked about wine pairings which were extremely excellent and I would highly recommend it if you like wine! The Sommelier did an exceptional job at the pairings and we even took 2 bottles home! The food was great (especially the lavender smoked lamb tenderloin) and the service was top notch! I would highly recommend anyone to give Trelio a try if you want an upscale experience at a decent price compared to an actual Michelin restaurant (unless they become one which I believe is highly possible)!

My girlfriends and I like to do monthly dinners. Sometimes we get to try places we haven't been to before. One of the gals chose Trelio to venture to this particular evening. All I have to say is this experience was fun! I loved it. It is definitely a different dining experience than what I am used to. Trelio is located on Clovis Avenue in Old Town Clovis. Parking is available behind the restaurant or in front. We found the parking to be easily available. Reservations are required. They have four options for seating when you make your reservation. You can choose from their main dining area, library, garden patio or bar. Their website gives a detailed description of each. We chose the dining room when making our reservation. When you arrive at the restaurant, you will be immediately greeted. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Once you get to your table, take a peak at your menu. It has the last name of person who made the reservation on it. We thought was that pretty cool and a great personal touch to make us all feel welcomed. The menu is a prix fixe menu, but the dishes will change seasonally. There are two options to choose from. The option is their full menu which is a delicious 9 course meal. The second option is their abbreviated menu which is a choice of an entree or dessert. We decided to go with the 9 course option. This was a great experience as you got to experience various dishes. The staff who served us would describe each dish to us as they brought it out . Each dish definitely stood out on their own. I definitely recommend that you try out Trelio if you are looking for a very unique dining experience.

Maybe the best meal we've had in Fresno/Clovis. Got the 5 course meal for dinner. Had a Cajun/Creole flair to new American/California cuisine. Appetizer of crab hush puppies with "ranch" were phenomenal- definitely tasted the crab but was subtle and weaved through it. French onion soup came in adorable bowl and was delectable. Caramelized onions shined through. The pastas! Got the raviole with meat and chanterelles on top with pesto that was different. Companion got the sun dried tomato with goat cheese and sautéed butter. Was almost getting full but the main entree of sole meunière, shrimp and scallops came which was classic French. Fish cooked perfectly with crispy outside and tender inside. He got the pork tenderloin which was also very tender over buttery mashed potatoes. Dessert was good but not wowed. Butterscotch panna cotta was very sweet and rich, and the almond florentine cookie on top was amazing. He got the bread pudding which was tasty but not the most unique. The wine pairings were excellent and really made the meal too. Our waitress' excitement and passion in describing the wines made the experience that much better. Ambiance is romantic quiet but can get loud depending on nearby diners. Parking is in the public parking lots across street or on street.

Demure and mindful. I love intimate settings and this is a nice spot for those who like a quiet evening to wine down. The service was accommodating and welcoming. We did family style since we wanted to try everything. It's nice to create your own menu tasting with a group of friends or family. I love seafood so the crab cakes and Cioppino were my favorite. The lamb was tender and went well with the wine. Good Times with Good People & Good Food.

Our go to for our Anniversary dinner. Last night did not disappoint again! The price fix menu has lots of variety to choose from. Our server was prompt, friendly, and frequented our table for all our needs. The tables were spaced enough to have an intimate conversation. The food was perfectly cooked, presented, and delicious!

Adorable and intimate restaurant in the heart of downtown Clovis. Service is top notch, with highly educated server and sommelier. The menu even had my name printed on it from the reservation! I would recommend making a reservation--it might even be required. I did the Wine Pairing with each course and the sommelier came every time, poured the wine, and explained the pairing and tasting notes. The food is a carefully curated prix fixe menu (with options, check the website) with unique flavors. It is an expensive restaurant, but definitely a fun experience. Parking can be tough, especially on a weekend.

We visited as a family of four and made reservations ahead of time after hearing so many great things--and we felt incredibly fortunate to secure a Sunday booking, especially since they're closed Monday through Wednesday. It ended up being the perfect way to begin our time in Mammoth. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and efficient without ever feeling rushed. And the food? Absolutely divine. Every dish reflected the expertise and care of a master chef with decades of experience in Norwegian cuisine. What truly elevated the evening was the personal touch--the chef graciously visited our table to greet us and ensure everything was to our liking. That kind of hospitality is rare and deeply appreciated. We ordered three appetizers, a soup, three entrées, and finished with crème brûlée for dessert--and every single item was flawless. An exceptional dining experience from start to finish. Five stars--well deserved. Thank you for an unforgettable meal.

The open kitchen adds a level of sophistication and elegance that made us very excited for the meal. Our server was very friendly, personable, attentive and helpful with recommendations. Unfortunately, ambiance and service proved to be the two best attributes of this restaurant. We started the meal with the Hamachi Crudo, which was well constructed, but something was unpleasantly fishy on the plate... not sure if it was the roe, the scallops, or the fish itself. The Little Gems salad had a nice flavorful Danish blue cheese, but the lettuce looked like it was washed, cut and prepped the day before (rotten sections where it had been chopped). The beets were totally bland and unseasoned, like they were just boiled, cooled, cubed and thrown on the plate. For a fine dining restaurant, you would hope that every component on its own would be individually seasoned. The mushroom soup was very flat tasting, and the texture of the puck of mushrooms in the bottom of the bowl that had hot broth poured table side was not enjoyable to eat at all. They tasted like gross, chewy reconstituted dried mushrooms... very unpleasant. For our mains, we ordered the Scallops and the Steak. The scallops were undercooked. My wife had a hard time finishing them. We weren't concerned about health risks considering how upscale this place was, but texturally you want a seared scallop to have a nice bouncy texture when you bite into it. These were very soft. On a positive note, the sauce was flavorful though. I am assuming my steak was cooked sous vide because it was insanely soft (almost mushy) and cooled down about 2 minutes after being brought to the table. There was no texture to it at all, and it had an odd warmed over flavor, like it was maybe cooked far in advance and then seared to order. The sides of potatoes and vegetables were more delicious to be honest. Overall, while I cannot fault the setting, ambiance and service, the food fell extremely short. Especially for the $300 we spent after tip.

Anyways, with regards to the food, my partner and I got some spicy baked mussels to share, with a ribeye steak and lamb chops for entrees. The mussels were pretty underwhelming - I felt that it was just spicy for the sake of being spicy and didn't offer much in terms of flavor. With the entrees, we asked for the lamb chops to be cooked medium but they came rare, whereas the steak did come in medium rare as ordered. The lamb chops were okay but the steak was extremely salty and a bit too charred; I had to wash down my bites with water. With both entrees we were given a choice of either rice pilaf or garlic baked potatoes. The rice pilaf legit tasted like elementary school lunch rice (the ones with the teriyaki meat patties if you recall the 2000s, iykyk). The potatoes were alright, not bad but not great. Also wanted to note that both dishes came with like 2-3 tiny cherry tomatoes which is barely anything and would last you at most a couple of bites. Last thing I wanted to note is pricing. The lamb chops were in the upper $30s and the steak was $59, which pretty overpriced imo for whay is presented. Of course, that's also on me for trying to go for a "16 oz" steak (which I kinda doubt it was) vs. their pastas or other popular dishes but I think it's worth pointing out. All in all, I really think you can get much better bang for your buck at other semi-fancy/fancy places such as LimeLite or Willow Osteria to name a couple of examples. I would give this a 1 but the service was admittedly quite solid. Sadly, I don't think we'll come back.

I didn't know that and my friends and I were not allowed to sit together. This was our first time here and we were excited. We ended up spending $300 with dinner for two plus the dessert and two drinks (each). We also had 2 extra cocktail and an upcharge for getting a filet mignon vs the skirt steak or other options available. The cocktails were amazing and definitely the best thing we had. The dessert and appetizer tied for second, followed by the entree. Unfortunately both of our steaks (along with the table next to us) were way overcooked. This is a catered dinner so nothing is cooked to order- you should know that as well. That means everything is warm vs hot and not as fresh as we may prefer it. However, given the venue, it's understandable why. No points were docked for that. ;) Service was great (thanks, Sarah!)

We got to go to a phenomenal performance of The Buddy Holly Story on a Saturday Night, and we were thoroughly entertained! Seriously...our lil' group-a preteen boy, a lady in her 40's, and one in her 80's- all equally sitting and enjoying a memorable night! That's just magic! We were honored to see Daniel Montgomery's Roger Rocka's Debut, as we have enjoyed seeing him in Bear Stage Productions. My son even got to talk with super talented, Danny after the show! He was Buddy Holly in every sense. Tremendous singing and guitar playing! The entire cast, with musical, dancing, and acting was committed 100% to the characters, and drew the audience in. It moved me. I smiled, laughed, sang along, tapped my feet, shimmied my shoulders, and even teared up. Kudos to the director, Mark Standriff, who I also got the pleasure to meet and talk with following the show. Okay, let's talk the food and service- top notch! The bread and salads were fresh and plentiful! The bruschetta was like a party in your mouth, and the entrees were delicious! In our group we ordered the Grilled Flat Iron Steaks and the Vegetarian Zucchini Rollatini. Ample portions, fantastic textures, and flavors were on point! (See the attached pictures for the full effect). Our table service was flawless, and all the servers were accommodating and attentive! One of the best moments was at the start when our table was surprised by the announcement of us being there- it was my son's first time, and the spotlight shone on him. He has such a love for theatre and had even gotten the chance to be in an production with Buddy Holly himself, Danny, in the Wizard of Oz. The night meant the world to our son, and the talents of all were entertaining and inspiring. The visit as a whole was beautiful, and I highly recommend not just seeing this production, but also coming here for future ones! You'll feel like you traveled to a new destination, and you will have an experience you will not forget. Thank you, thank you to Roger Rocka's Dinner Theatre- you rock!

After a bad steak experience my wife had while on vacation, she requested we come here to hopefully get a decent steak to try and make up for it. Service was good, food was good, everything went off pretty much how we expected it. Our steaks were cooked exactly as we asked and the sides were tasty. If I had to knock something, their potatoes au gratin are just kind of cubed potatoes instead of thinly sliced. It still tasted good, but I would have preferred them to be way thinner. Overall good experience, they are always consistent!

My date and I both ordered burgers from the bar menu. His was cooked exactly as requested--pink, juicy, and well-prepared. Mine, however, was quite the opposite and came out very overcooked, almost like a hockey puck. I wishi had remembered to take a photo. I was really disappointed and ultimately had to send it back. It put a bit of a damper on our date since, at that point, it was too late for me to order something else. I was also surprised that there wasn't any offer to make it right for a future visit. Overall, the service felt like it could have been much better, and because of this experience, I'm not sure I have plans to return.
