I've been here at least five times and I have never had a bad meal…read more I went there on Saturday and started with a bloody Mary. The chef was very friendly. I didn't realize that they also made the drinks. I sat at the bar and you can watch your food being made in the steam kettles. It's a pretty cool experience. I had the combo pan roast with lobster, crab, and shrimp. The chef asked me what spice level, I said 6 and it was perfect. Big chunks of lobster, shrimp, and crab in a very rich sauce with a scoop of perfectly cooked rice on top. It was so delicious. They also serve some bread so you can dip and make sure that bowl is clean when you're done. I highly recommend this place if you love seafood.

I took my three daughters after telling them how amazing the clam chowder, charbroiled oysters, and pan roast are. While we were enjoying our meal which consisted of those dishes, a seafood boil, and a Caesar salad, I noticed a small bug on the rim of the seafood boil bowl. The establishment is quite dark, and because my eyesight isn't the best these days, I initially tried to swat it away thinking it was a fruit fly. It didn't fly. We looked closer and realized it was a baby roach. I asked our waiter to come over, handling it discreetly, and he was genuinely shocked. He hurriedly removed the dish and asked if we wanted a replacement, which I declined. At this point, I fully expected a manager to come over to check on us or apologize, but that never happened. Our waiter returned to ask if we wanted boxes since we were only halfway through eating and had a lot of food left. However, as you can imagine, we had all completely lost our appetites. When the bill was brought, they did take off the cost of the seafood boil, but I was incredibly disappointed that this was the only effort made. I never saw a manager, and they did not offer any additional discount for completely ruining our family dinner. I paid the bill, left a 20% tip, and left.I went back and forth on whether or not to post this, but decided it was necessary. The customer service and hospitality following an incident like this were completely nonexistent. I will never be back.

Every item we have ever ordered from the menu is fresh, high quality, beautifully presented and most importantly delicious! Service is always top notch, with quick and attentive staff with a chef that is also attentive and communicative. One of our most favorite things is that this is a brewhouse, so they have really good in house beers and just a great drink selection. As a michelada enthusiast I was very pleasantly surprised that their in house michelada is one of the best I have had! Relatively kid friendly place, our kids enjoy their miso soup that also has mushrooms so it's more filling than other misos. They also enjoy the avocado handroll and edamame. All in all, this is a great place to grab a bite and some good drinks, especially for people who value quality over quantity.

The deal is great too, like a $1 a oyster from what I recall. Our server did a really great job on walking us through the menu, she was very natural and we felt comfortable in her presence! We enjoyed the sea bass, oysters, negi toro rolls and some drinks. A bit pricey but totally worth it. Ambiance is quaint with tv's, a bar area that's also like a sushi bar, and you can see the giant brewing containers for the beer behind the bar. So cool. PS .. Please don't skip the michelada! So good and unique I truly never had a michelada THIS good before!

We were actually here for the clam chowder so we didn't get to really try new things except for the tomyum chicken wings. Will definitely be back to try the Asian fusion menu items. The woman that served us was very friendly and made good recommendations. The food came out quickly and was delicious. If you get fries, make sure you try the garlic fries! The clam chowder bowl hit the spot! The restaurant was clean and so was the restroom. There's always lots of parking in this plaza.

I am honestly confused by all the five star reviews…read more Ambiance was okay. Decor is decent but nothing spectacular at all. Does look better inside than it presents outside. We ordered cocktails from a very limited menu. Our waiter wasn't sure how to make the lemon drop martini on the menu but said he'd try to follow the recipe. We asked for Grey Goose but watched him pour shelf vodka. Drinks were served after the appetizers arrived even though they were ordered first. We started with oysters. Waiter said they only had two kinds tonight so we ordered 6 of each. He set them down and left to get tobasco we requested. When he returned we asked which were which he said "we only had one kind so they're all the same." I feel he should have told us before serving them since they were $4 each! I ordered coippino which at $46 was expensive but I wanted a treat. Hubby ordered large clam chowder in bread bowl and Caesar salad. Cioppino lists first ingredient as crab. What I was served had no crab, 2 overcooked shrimp and rubbery calamari. The sauce was flavorful but so disappointing otherwise. I asked about the crab and was told "no crab" and I was offered additional scallops as compensation. He brought three small scallops on a plate. Hubby was served two small bread bowls of chowder with the explanation of "we are out of large bowls". Again, it should have been discussed prior to serving that there was a substitution. Who wants two big loaves of bread bowl??? The salad adequate-- a big bowl of romaine with croutons with a side of dressing. All in all not worth the over $150 it cost. Not in the least! And they charge an extra 3% if you use a credit card. We will not be back.

There's limited booths and tables in side, but when the weather is nice, there's several more tables outside on their patios. You'll find a lot of seafood type dishes here as it's their specialty. While there is also options of beef and chicken, seafood is prominent. The server was super friendly and explained their menu to us. As in their name - they specialize in ceviche. We decided on the Playa Azul ceviche which is tuna based. The ceviche is a huge portion - an entree for 2! While we can certainly take leftovers home, I always like to eat a super fresh entree like this at the restaurant. The ceviche was so fresh - the sauce is amazing! There's some soya in it which gives it a little hint of Asian flavor and it was great. I really enjoyed it! It's served with a basket of chips and they provided plenty for the ceviche. At the end, we were both really full. They also sere complimentary chips and salsa to start!

The food didn't make up for it. The ceviche was mediocre at best, and the tostadas were noticeably stale, which honestly ruined the texture of the dish. On top of that, the music was so loud that we couldn't comfortably hear each other or even communicate with staff without repeating ourselves. For the prices they're charging, I expected much better. You can easily find fresher, more flavorful ceviche at a local Mexican market for a fraction of the cost. Unfortunately, this wasn't an experience I'd return for.

Finally tried takeout from this new Cajun/seafood jazz club (all my favorite things in one package)…read moreafter venturing over one night only to discover they had closed up early. Since their recent opening, they have had some slow nights that warranted closing up earlier than their posted hours -- something to keep in mind. They also only seem to be serving "mocktails" at the moment (no alcohol). Dine in to enjoy live music on weekends! So how's the food? I really had high hopes because I enjoy some good Cajun-style seafood and their menu (especially during weekends) offers great variety from Frog Legs and Oysters "Rockafella" to Gumbo and Seafood Boil. They even offer several Vegan entrees and dessert. Unfortunately, the dishes I tried just didn't hit as expected. Surf & Turf Burger. Big, plump shrimp with no shortage of ooey gooey cheese but even with the plethora of sauces and seasonings, the flavors didn't quite pop. Just a standard burger with added shrimp. Good bun, though, and the shrimp were perfectly cooked. Grilled Salmon & Shrimp. Again, great presentation of seafood and creamy sauce filled with various goodies like crawfish, all WITH a generous helping of cheese grits. Sounds heavenly but not a dish for which I'd go out of my way. Shrimp was perfectly tender but salmon was dry and definitely needed the sauce. Good Sizzler/Texas style garlic toast on the side. Seafood Potato With Salad. Okay, this was the main event that drew me to this place but WOW, was I disappointed. It was literally a baked potato broiled with seafood and cheese. I expected much more flavor. For some reason, the cheese grits accompanying this dish had an unpleasantly pungent, foot-like aroma and taste that was not as noticeable in the Salmon dish, possibly attributed to the cheese blend? I really wanted to report back with glowing praises, especially since the owners and staff are so warm and welcoming! I hope my remarks help this business grow and improve with time. I would still return for the music and intimate, speakeasy atmosphere.
