Come here and get the seafood pan roast. You won't be disappointed. I promise!

This place is 2nd best to the palace station pan roast. I think it's because the pan roast is cooked longer on the steamer so adds more depth and flavor. Whenever I don't want to wait in line, I go here and get my pan roast fix vs the one in palace station, be expected to wait a minimum of 30 mins to 2 hrs + even though they open 24 hrs. They need to get customer seated faster and take their orders in and they only have about 8 steamers to cook at a time and each steamer takes 15-20 mins to cook vs sunset station cooks it between 5-10 mins!! The service is great as they always check on us and fill our water. The jambalaya here isn't as good, so I recommend sticking to pan roast and clam chowder! I'll try their baked oysters next time.. Here's a cleaner, more polished version of your review while keeping your original voice and points: This spot is easily my second favorite for pan roast after Palace Station. I think the difference comes down to how long they cook it here--they leave it on the steamer longer, which really adds depth and richness to the flavor. Whenever I don't feel like dealing with the insane wait times at Palace Station, I come here instead to satisfy my pan roast craving. At Palace Station, even though they're open 24 hours, you should expect to wait anywhere from 30 minutes to 2+ hours. Part of the delay seems to be seating and ordering efficiency, plus they only have around eight steamers, and each batch takes about 15-20 minutes. In comparison, Sunset Station cooks theirs much faster--around 5-10 minutes. Service here is great--they're attentive, check in often, and keep your water filled, which I really appreciate. The jambalaya didn't impress me as much, so I'd recommend sticking with the pan roast and clam chowder. I'm planning to try the baked oysters next time.

I'll keep this short and sweet. During Lent season is tough as a luchador because we want MEAT! Came here on Friday and was looking for a quick exhibition match. My heel wife and I came here to meet up with some friends and needed a non-meat option. When I was taking the Southern California Lucha scene by storm, we used to frequent a Cajun spot called Ritters (RIP). I've heard this Oyster Bar having what you get from the Palace Station without the long queue. Tonight's match was a 3 on 2 handicap match against the pan roast team of Shrimp, Crab and Lobster. This match was very good, very flavorful and PACKED with the 3 different sea bugs. It came with a side of rice (could've used a little more but that's ok) and some bread as well. You can choose your spice level from 1 to 10, the server recommended a 4 but I laughed at such a suggestion and said to give us an 8 PORQUE NO SOY CULERO! DAME EL PINCHE OCHO! CERO MIEDO! This was able to feed both the heel wife and I, so if the $34 price tag seems like a lot, it can be split between 2 people. 1! 2! 3! The team of Shrimp, Crab and Lobster Panroast conquered! I look forward to having a rematch with these opponents. 5 OUT OF 5 LUCHAS!

The Oyster Bar at Sunset Station is always a solid choice and such a treat anytime I'm at a Station casino. The pan roast is seriously so good every time-and is a total comfort food! We went on a Monday and the wait really wasn't bad, though I've heard it can get long. Service is on the slower side, but it feels intentional and not rushed. The vibe is cute and classic, but it is loud since it's right in the casino, so be prepared for some background noise. One thing to note: the pan roast can get pretty spicy, so if you're not a big heat person, stick to the lower spice numbers. Still incredibly flavorful. I will be back :)

Awesome pan roast! Service was excellent. Love that you can see the chef cook our yummiest pan roast. Pan roast was substantial, you can taste the crab meat, lobster and shrimp. They didn't skimp out. The clam chowder was creamy. The clams were perfect. Love the ambiance here.

We visited the Oyster Bar inside Sunset Station. Understandable being a Friday night, we had to wait in line for a few minutes. We were seated at a high table for two. Our waitress took our drink and food order after a few minutes. Bread and butter were served with our drinks. Soon after receiving our drinks, our dozen of oysters on the half shell arrived. They were fresh and very tasty. A good amount of time later, a male waiter delivered my Shrimp and Lobster Fra Diavolo. This waiter then asked if we needed an extra dish as if we were splitting this dish. It was at this point that I knew something was wrong with our order. My companion ordered a cup of New England Clam Chowder and a Caesar Salad, but they never arrived. Our waitress was nowhere to be found. An extensive amount of time had now passed. I chose not to start eating my dish since my companions food hadn't arrived. We watched another table that had just sat down much later than we did and had already received and started eating their food. Their male waiter came by their table several times while he waited on them, like he should. Frustrated, I finally stood up and looked for a manager near the bar top. A few employees looked my way, but none of them approached me to ask if I needed assistance. Finally, a gentleman came over and asked if I needed help. I explained my issue, and he promised to look for my waitress. She was still nowhere to be found! Then, a chef wearing a baseball hat brought the soup and Caesar salad to our table. I'm sure he scooped up the clam chowder and placed it into a cup and prepared a Caesar Salad. Both were easy to prepare I'm sure. At this point I asked for my food to be placed into a to-go box and asked for my check. Finally, my waitress arrived with the check and she tried to justify the neglectful service. The bill was about $100 and they offered about a $16 discount. I insisted that I didn't want a discount. We just wanted to enjoy our dinner. I left $120 cash for a $98 diner that we later enjoyed at home. The customer service was terrible!.

We were back again last month and showed our family how amazing the restaurant truly is. We loved everything we have and left talking about how good it was for days! I absolutely love everything, the baked oysters are my favorite, the jambalaya and the little sourdough bread appetizers are everything. I can't remember our Filipino servers name.. but he was super good to us! Thank you guys for an awesome experience yet again, and we will definately be b

In Green Valley Ranch casino after a movie and wanting a quick dinner. It is years since we ate at the Oyster Bar, so we gave it a try. No problem getting a table at 7:30 PM on a Wednesday evening. Our server was at our table right away to get our beverage order and answer questions about the menu. My wife went with the New England clam chowder ($10). A good sized bowl and very tasty. I ordered the house gumbo (($33). The house gumbo includes shrimp, chicken, meat, and veggies. Huge portion - took home half for lunch the next day (it reheats very well!!!) A bit pricey for a very informal restaurant - but it is in a casino so you don't expect a bargain. Tasty food, nice clean ambiance. Several TVs with sports on visible from every table.

I love the Oyster Bar. Now that station has remodeled, it looks much cleaner and brighter. I always get either the seafood boil or the gumbo. This is the seafood boil. You can tailor the spice level to your preference. I like how the boil comes deconstructed. It's cooked to order but it doesn't take long for it to come from the kitchen.

Shrimp & lobster Fra Diavolo spice level 4. Very good although heavy on the pepper

The Oyster bar at Sunset Station Casino is a winner. The staff are all friendly and attentive. This place is very small and is always crowded at prime times. The food is prepared right in front of you at the bar and definitely has a cajun/creole influence. While the wife and I liked everything we ordered we both really enjoyed the chargrilled oysters, they had a bread crumb topping with butter and hints of garlic and onion....100% will order this again. You can pick your spice level on everything we ordered, I got a four and the wife ordered hers at a 7 and we both thought their heat scale was a little weak as I could eat her 7 and at other places I tap out at a five. The place is a little dated and a little dive bar...ish both in ambiance and service. You have to walk through a smokey casino to get to the restaurant but the oyster bar itself isn't smokey. All in all it has a cool little vibe. With all the above this place is worth a try and if you like the cajun, creole flavor of the food I think you'll love it, but if you want less flavor in your oyster house, like what I would consider a more traditional east coast oyster bar then it might not be for you. I wanted to give them four stars (because 4.3 isn't an option) but Rita insisted we give them a five.....we will go back. :-)

My second fav oyster bar in the city. No tourist traffic like Palace Station. No long line, kid friendly, clean and bigger than Palace. Love all the decorations inside. I think Sunset isn't as smoky inside vs Palace. Service is always good but the combo pan roast is delicious!!!!! Thank you Sunset Statuon Oyster Bar

Our favorite location of the Oyster Bar chain. East parking, quick service, and same delicious taste. We ordered a dozen oysters, shrimp Louie salad, Sunset roast level 10, and clam chowder. Our server was so kind and my soda refills just kept coming. Counting down the days till we go back, drool

Should be no problem, but you may have to wait in line for your turn.

Is this place similar to the oyster bar at Palace Station?

I ordered coippino which at $46 was expensive but I wanted a treat. Hubby ordered large clam chowder in bread bowl and Caesar salad. Cioppino lists first ingredient as crab. What I was served had no crab, 2 overcooked shrimp and rubbery calamari. The sauce was flavorful but so disappointing otherwise. I asked about the crab and was told "no crab" and I was offered additional scallops as compensation. He brought three small scallops on a plate. Hubby was served two small bread bowls of chowder with the explanation of "we are out of large bowls". Again, it should have been discussed prior to serving that there was a substitution. Who wants two big loaves of bread bowl??? The salad adequate-- a big bowl of romaine with croutons with a side of dressing. All in all not worth the over $150 it cost. Not in the least! I have always enjoyed not only the food, location, but the excellent service. So being hungry one evening I thought to go again as I had been there in awhile. It was lovely weather so I sat outside on the tavern side as it was fairly crowded and I didn't have a reservation. I don't care to sit inside as the restaurant side is very noisy. The inside of the tasteful bar side is quieter. I have eaten there in the past and felt very comfortable. I ordered The Herbalist: Prairie organic gin, fresh lime, muddled basil & mint. I had it with vodka, per the waitress's suggestion. It was ok, but the overpowering taste of mint reminded me of a mint mojito with lime overtones, and the basil wasn't even a footnote. If you do like mojitos though, then this would be good if you enjoy a twist of lime as your background notes. It leans to the refreshing versus cloyingly sweet. Stephanie, my waitress, asked how I liked the drink and when she found out I did not care for it, gallantly exchanged it with an Old Fashioned. No complaints on that drink. Great for sipping. I ordered the Blackened Wild Ono (Wahoo) with a Potato bun / cabbage slaw / cilantro / pickled onion / remoulade. I asked her to just put the bun on the side as I wanted to just enjoy the fish as I had not had it in ages. I realized it came with French fries and so I asked if they could make them extra crispy. The fish was blackened and so I expected some saltiness, but it was so overbearing and the fish itself was a bit overcooked. But because I was incredibly hungry, by time the fish came out, I decided I would just eat it. The Frenchfries were perfect, and the bread that came with my drink at the start of evening helped to soak up the saltiness along with my water. When it came time for the check, Stephanie asked me how the Ono was. I let her know that her service was impeccable (it really was, (very patient, professional, and caring), but that in the future maybe to not salt the fish so much and to not grill/sear so long. My only intent was trying to just be helpful for the next customer. When she came back she said she talked to her manager and they would not charge me for the Ono! I was surprised of course as I had eaten it and most of the fries. But she said they just wanted to make things right. I have to say I was very surprised and grateful with the care that they continue to express with their customers. Thank you for making my evening Stephanie and King's Fish House. I will be back.

Food was delicious with all seafood dishes being cooked perfectly. Highlight of the dinner was definitely the Brussels sprouts recommended by Autumn. Even though it's a side and the description is super generic, they're deep fried and finished with a balsamic vinaigrette and crispy friend onions. So delicious.

With this option you can choose 3 shrimp varieties at a time. And once you finish, you can order more. The portions are fairly small which is expected but the biggest challenge was the wait time between rounds. Since you can only order 3 shrimp varieties at a time, the slow pace made for a longer dining experience. After the second round, we decided we were done waiting for additional orders. We also tried the shrimp your way with 2 shrimp selections. As for the food, it wasn't quite my taste. The coleslaw in particular had an unusual smell like one of the ingredients may have gone bad, so I didn't feel comfortable eating much of it. I also tried their guava chilli margarita which was a little too sweet for my preference. The sever was friendly and checked on us several times throughout the meal. It seemed like she was managing a number of tables, but she remained attentive wherever she stopped by.

But I can for sure say that Cajun Crackin exceeded my expectation! I felt like I was back at home with how good the food tasted lol. I went at 4pm with my gf on a Friday, and although it was a bit quiet, it was very clean and well kept! Walking in, first thing that caught my eye is how spacious/open it was. We were greeted with a unique fisherman-esque entrance with nets hanging over our heads as well as a shark hanging by the bar. The floor and counters were nice shiny and you can tell they're well cleaned. I got the 38$ ayce option. I for one can eat a lot...but surprisingly the ayce option gave me more than enough, I was suprised. The servers were delightful and were constantly checking up on me and giving me pointers on the menu! I recommend this place if you are pursuing a tasty seafood boil!
