Upon entering there is a little Asian mini mart in there with rice noodles, sauces and a few staple Asian items. They had a display cold case of their pies. The coconut cream pie looked yummy so I bought one. My order was ready within 15 minutes. I ordered the half Huli huli chicken and beef with an extra scoop of rice . Mac salad and a coleslaw was also included. They also have an assortment of small sauces to go, ranching from one star and up. I picked the crying tiger sauce, teriyaki and chili oil . This is a hefty mixed plate, enough for two or to have as leftovers for me. The beef is my favorite, seasoned and sauced well. I added the sauces to the huli huli chicken and it was superb, the chicken was moist and tender. I love Hawaiian Mac salad, it's the better type of Mac salads. I really enjoyed their Mac salad and the coleslaw. The coleslaw was a nice palette cleanser amongst the heavy but comforting meal. The coconut cream pie was good. I was expecting it to be a a little more sweeter, but the coconut flavor is just right. Not too overpowering . I will be back to try more.

I got the combo - Hawaiian chicken + karaage requesting extra salad instead of rice, as well as a half order of loco moco. It's nice that there is half order as a lot of Hawaiian restaurants tend to be full orders so it is incredibly hard to try a variety of options if you're solo or in a small group. The Hawaiian chicken and karaage both are juicy and delicious. It's great that the combo is the same price as the standard individual options so I got to try more variety without paying extra. I looked at the reviews and opted to remove the rice and get extra salad which was a good move - their chop chop salad is very delicious with a nice balance of dressing, cheese, and ham. I still had some rice from the loco moco, which was sufficient for me. The loco moco is good - I wished the patty was a bit less tough but the gravy and egg make up for it. Overall, great value and great food. I'd be a regular if I didn't live so far from Kirkland (1 hr drive for food can be challenging in busy schedules)

It's a small place with a couple of seatings (not big) and feels a little cramped. You order at the counter and pay and food will come out. They are located in a isolated area so you probably need to look for it and know about it. There's two businesses here, but same owner. Saimin is Hawaiian food whole mas pika is fusion. We ordered: Oxtail saimin: good flavor, oxtail was tender, broth was light yet flavorful. I like that it comes with a few veggies. Fiesta plate: 2 protein (brisket and pork belly) with rice, Mac salad, and pickle veggies --- this would have been really good if the brisket was not so tough. It was like jerky style and too tough, especially when it's cut really thick like that. Flavor was good though. My favorite thing was the rice. It was a red rice and soft and flavorful. Pork belly was crispy. Portions was good for the price. People are really nice. Definitely a place to go if you want homey food

Thankfully dine-in is back open again, so we got here on a Saturday morning around 11:20am to indoor seating that was nearly full and a small line that was forming at the front counter. Walls have a bunch of photo frames, and overall place felt very homely. They have a ton of Hawaiian style plates and even burgers and some seafood, though we and most others got the former to eat. I ordered their chicken and pork combo Hawaiian style plate, and my bestie got their chicken katsu Hawaiian style plate. Portions are huge for both plates and both also came with macaroni salad. They give you sooooo much meat no matter what you get. To go in slightly more detail: - Chicken and pork combo: both meats were flavored very well, and a little sweet too though pretty salty without using the rice as a palette cleanser. Chicken had more depth in its flavor; the pork's flavor was a little too much for my liking, and was slightly harder to chew. Both meats had some sauce hat went onto the rice itself. This didn't detract from my overall experience here, though. - Chicken katsu: we both agreed this was our favorite after exchanging pieces of each other's dish. The katsu is crispy and crunchy, and the chicken itself retained a lot of its juiciness. Katsu sauce on the side is honestly optional since the meat itself is already salty enough. This place does share extremely limited parking with Cakes of Paradise next door, so get here early or be prepared to drive around the area to find some. Just get here, it's a place you can't pass up when you hit up Georgetown!

Parking is scarce, so plan ahead and be patient. We came on a Wednesday and happened to score a parking spot right in front of the bakery. Once you arrive, get in line immediately--there will be one. The woman taking our order was incredibly peppy and friendly, even while juggling everything: taking in-person orders, answering phones, serving customers, and bagging food. Seriously impressive. All the seats were filled, so we ordered everything to-go. We got the famous crispy ginger chicken, spam musubi, and chicken long rice. I was hoping for oxtail soup and asked about it--she explained they only offer it on certain days and recommended calling early in the morning to check, then getting there quickly because it sells out fast. Can't wait to come back and try it. Back at the hotel, we feasted. The crispy ginger chicken is famous for a reason--so flavorful, perfectly crispy, and somehow even better the next day. The chicken long rice was packed with noodles directly in the soup (not separately) so the broth had mostly soaked into the noodles, but it was still deeply flavorful and comforting. The spam musubi leans on the sweeter side, which is great if that's your thing. Overall, this place is all about heart, hustle, and seriously satisfying Hawaiian comfort food. Come early, expect a line, plan for parking--and you'll be rewarded.

I want to mention that the workers were all very kind and I had no problems with service. Even though we ordered at the counter, they checked in at our table multiple times. Unfortunately, the food fell flat. The Mochiko chicken was flavorless and served with a sweet chili sauce that tasted just like the kind I have from the grocery store. I thought Mochiko chicken was supposed to be flavorful on its own, even without a sauce. Also the portion was kinda small for the price. The Kahlua pork bowl had pork, but also what tasted like loco Moco gravy... which was a good gravy, but not what we really wanted on top of Kahlua pork. When we saw that it came with "gravy" for the bowl description on the menu, I was thinking it would taste something more like the pork itself. Also, it was heavy on the rice. Lastly, the guava cake had a nice soft airy texture... but not enough guava flavor. It is huge, but mostly air. We didn't order it to-go, but it came in a to-go container rather than on a plate. I felt it was overpriced at almost $10 per slice. Overall, my experience was just alright. I'm glad I tried it, but I don't need to return.

Been going here for several years now - poke has always been solid and the Hawaiian dishes were good not great. But today it was all different - everything was outstanding! Wife got a 2 salmon scoop poke : fish was great as always, but the seasoned potatoes (gamja jorim) she chose as 1 of 3 sides was very good. Dad had the hwae-dupbap (think of it as Korean bibimbap but with poke instead of meat) and the Cho-gochujang sauce was excellent. I had the loco moco and it was better than in the past. Also the banchan with that were fire (seasoned japchae noodles, spicy shredded radish) both better than in the past They sell most of the side dishes as banchan and as a Korean I fully endorse them. I am a huge Korean banchan snob and I will absolutely countersign their cooking I don't know what's going on but like I said - everything tastes better than before. The ajumma who runs the place said business is getting slower as the economy is imploding so let's support this awesome local business so we can keep this place around.
