I've ordered from this place at least once a week, NEVER AGAIN. I've ordered salsas on multiple occasions where's I've ordered extra chicken and paid for extra chicken. And I've never received it. I'm not in the habit of paying for a $15 salad and not receiving what I ordered. You just lost to your competitors. read more

I stopped by here for the first time today after what seemed like a very long construction period. It's great! They have local, organic foods, a bunch of different tasty salad options, and some regular ol' plates if you don't feel like having a salad. They have a variety of salads for very affordable prices, and you can even buy a reusable bowl (free today, 1.09 from tomorrow) if you know you'll be coming back often. With your reusable bowl you get two extra toppings, so it seems like a good deal to me. I'm happy that there's another healthy option in the Newport area. I really wanted to like Just Salad but the customer service I received today was subpar. The space itself is very spacious, with lots of lighting, eco friendly options, and welcoming. The menu has just about everything from salads to even smoothies. You can customize your own salad or order one from the menu. Since I left work early and was starving, I went with the crispy chicken poblano salad; avocado toast (to go); and a rice bowl too. Everything was made fresh to order and the employee that made my salad did an amazing job. The portion is plentiful and the food was tasty too. My biggest issue was the encounter I had with another employee that killed the positive experience I once had. She was very rude and lacked basic customer service skills. If there was another location in Jersey, I'd definitely return but as far as the Jersey City location, I wouldn't recommend anyone to visit there. read more

Got their avocado toast today and felt compelled to write a review- it was AMAZING. I don't say that about a lot of food, but I seriously thought it was the best damn avocado toast I've ever had. They were not skimpy AT ALL with the avocado which I appreciated. Not sure why there's so many negative reviews on here... I usually come 2-3 times a month and get a salad made in-store with my reusable bowl (today was the first time I ordered a non-salad). I get 2 free toppings (not a protein/meat), so my huge filling salad always ends up being $7.99! Such a steal to get a healthy, filling lunch in the area for under $10. Where to start? Forgot chicken but charged. Didn't have avocado in any shape or form. I used to think this place was 'Woohoo as good as it gets!' but as of today their model has changed and they NO LONGER CHOP SALADS. I've been coming here for a few months, every single day for lunch to get a salad. But today....as I sit here with my REALLY SAD and un-chopped salad, I'm thinking I may not be able to keep coming back here. They are not generous with their toppings anymore, they're actually quite the opposite - so you will get much less salad than before (for the same price might I add, their prices still remain high). Because they don't chop the salads (just toss them in dressing), the ingredients aren't a perfect mix and each bite is an un-even flavor, with more of the heavier ingredients sitting at the bottom of the bowl. It taste really basic and small and sad now. I think even some of the employees may not agree with the changes, because I could tell they sympathized with me when I questioned why they changed their model and how it threw me off. All the employees here are so kind and friendly. I asked why they did this, and one of the reps said to 'save time, and move the line along faster'. Whoever made the decision to stop chopping - is an idiot (has to be someone higher up, not the fault of the regular employees). That's one of the main reasons, I, and I'm sure many other regulars liked this place. And it didn't really save that much time for me, maybe an additional 5 mins, not even? I'm willing to spend an extra 5 mins to go back to the old model of chopping. They added a Panera type you-pick-two option where you can get two of these for $12: salad, soup, avocado toast, or smoothie. Any 2 of those combined would be $12. Interesting for some I'm sure, but I'm not interested as I go there for JUST SALAD. Ugh. I'm over it. I will just have to find a new place to get lunch. I have visited Just Salad several times over the past few months and every experience has been great. The place always looks very clean and the items are always fresh. My favorite thing on the menu is the Buffalo chicken salad or the Buffalo chicken wrap. In addition to great salads, Jade is always super attentive and her costumer service is great. I decided to try something new in Newport for lunch today, and some coworkers recommended just salad. Not sure why they did though. I ordered online for pickup and the order was 5 minutes late. Following that I took it to go and got to sit down and eat and noticed they forgot the avocado (which is extra) and did not chop the salad. I had to go back to the place to have them add in the avocado which was all they were willing to do to help settle the situation (as opposed to a refund or a new salad). The food itself is not bad I enjoyed it once it was actually done properly, the ingredients and fresh and taste good, although they skimp on the toppings a little bit. This is one of the best places in the area to grab a healthy bite.  The salads are good yet tasty (not bland). For the last couple of months I have one of these salads for diner most nights and I can see the results. Stephanie, Marwa, Natasha Nyisha and Jade and the others are great!!  Within two weeks they were treating me like a regular and knew my favorite orders by heart so I always feel special going there.   I highly recommend to give them a try, you will be happy you did. read more

First timer. I have to say, I was extremely disappointed in the salad I got from here today. Honestly, I have no idea what the long line was for... There must be no place else to eat in Jersey City. I had the Vegetarian Hudson Valley mix, which had baby spinach, sweet potatoes, roasted broccoli, apples, beets, pumpkin seeds, croutons, lemon basil vinaigrette, not chopped. I've come here a few times after work and it's always a good, calm relaxing atmosphere. The staff know us already and starts our orders prior to even stepping up next in line lol. Jonathan is the shift manager and he always takes care of us and is always pleasant. I would avoid going around their lunch rush as it can be a little crazy, but they are attached to a 30+ floor office building so it's a given. I frequent a just salad location in the city, close to my place. Today while out in JC though I popped in here for a second lunch. I'm trying this whole no carb thing, which pretty much means i'm starving always right now. Anyways, I popped into this place and was surprised to see that you guys are now offering Zoodles as an alternative. Good call. Food was dope. What was even more surprising was the next-level caliber of service I got from the lady behind the counter. They were fun, personable and made me want to come back. Big should out to Dasia, Marwa, Natasha and Destiny for driving home a great customer experience. This location is kind of awkwardly located in the mall, but thanks to these ladies, I'll continue going out of my way to come join the fun for a few minutes. First time I came they were newly opened. The person making my salad tried a full 4 times and still completely screwed up the ingredients. And I didn't make any substitutions. I was looking for the hidden camera b/c this couldn't be real. I decided to try again today. First thing: the guy with the pad who takes the orders while you're on line screams "NEXT!" in the face of each customer while he's 2 feet away. So immediately you feel like you're on a prison line. He then informs me that if I attempt to substitute more than 1 item, there's a surcharge. Mind you, I'm not asking for extra ingredients. Then I got a call stating they were out of steak for the salad. At 7:57 I called the restaurant to check on my order and told it was out for delivery. At 8:30 I called Seamless and they told me the driver found the restaurant to be closed. Long story short, don't do online orders at this location. Ordered salad online, and so did my coworkers, but when we get there after the estimated 15 minutes, we find a group of people surrounding the online order pickup area. We all waited an additional 20-30 minutes for them to finally give us a salad. 2 of 3 were not the wrong salad, they just gave us a random salad. This location needs to figure out how to reallocate people to online orders from the line orders. Would have been better off to get in line.
