I had a nail in my tire, went to 2 places. One, Costco, said Pirelli doesn't allow anyone to fix their tire and I have to buy a new tire. They did help me fill up the air for free. The 2nd one, Firestone, said they could fix Pirelli tire but said it's not fixable after checkup and wanted me to buy a new tire for $225. They did air it up and didn't charge me anything. I shall never stray again, Just Tires. Probably. A few months back I came here with a rapidly leaking tire and was told I had a bent rim that would need replacement to the tune of somewhere around $300. I was able to have the rim bent back elsewhere for way less. It was at this time that my natural suspicion of car repair places kicked in and I became disenchanted with Just Tires. Fast forward two short months. I noticed another one of my tires had a weird bulge in it (PSA Part 1: kids, that means the metal bands in the tire are bent and the tire needs to be replaced pronto. You risk a blow-out otherwise). Since it was a Sunday at about 4 pm, I knew no place but Just Tires would be open and I felt unsafe driving on the tire, so reluctantly I headed back to Just Tires. I knew the tire with the bulge ALSO had a bent rim (PSA Part 2: low profile tires on aluminum rims are no match for Chicago potholes) and told the guys at Just Tires that I wanted it replaced. They told me they'd look it over offered to either call me with an update or let me wait in the waiting room. I opted to wait. My natural suspicion of car repair guys went into overdrive when the JT employee asked me to come out to "look at my car." I clutched my wallet tightly and headed out. The JT guys told me that actually, two of my tires had bulges (damn potholes) and had to be replaced BUT that my rim didn't. I've never had a car repair place argue me out of a repair I insisted I needed. They told me that if I just moved the bent rim to the back wheel, I'd be fine. Oh, and even better, my tires were on sale. So all in all, it was still an expensive trip but far less than I'd anticipated. And, PSA 3: buy the road hazard protection for your tires. For some reason they don't offer it unless you ask about it, but for $15 a tire I now have 100% free replacement should my tires suffer any damage for the life of the tires. Which they will. If I had written a review of Just Tires after my first experience, it would have been a solid 4 stars. I had a flat with nail in it, they patched it, it cost 35 bucks, and it was done in a couple hours. Also, they are right next door to my work which is a big selling point. Anyway, last month I was the unfortunate recipient of not one but TWO flat tires. Concurrent. Either I have really bad luck, or I've made some enemies in my neighborhood. I called Just Tires and they recommend Alex's towing service, which came promptly and brought me and my car to Just Tires. After getting a quote on the two new tires (this time they could not be patched), I went to work and waited for them to call. They never did. Finally, I walked back over right before closing time, only to discover that they had put more expensive tires on my car and were prepared to charge me for them. So I spent the next 30 minutes in their waiting area, my office now closed, waiting for them to take off the fancy tires and put on the tires that they had quoted me for. Bummer. It's your run of the mill JT. The dudes are all business, but have never given me a reason to object to their practices. You can be a smart consumer here though, and maximize what you get for your cash. Unlike most customers that just walk-in, prepare. Take the extra time to reserve a time-slot on their website. More often than not, you can get special internet pricing on certain services. For example, you can get an oil change for $18 if you take the extra 30 seconds to utilize the online resource. I just got an oil change and tire rotation for $24. The Road Hazard plan is worth looking into; I got it on my ol' Grand Am years ago and it more than payed for itself (possibly 2-3 times over). Under this plan they will repair or replace your tire at no cost to you as long as it is legitimately accidentally damaged. read more

My old guy is gone, the guy who charged me only $20 to patch a tire every time, and has been replaced by slicked-back hair sales zombies who are charging $39 to do the same thing, and justifying it with manipulative verbal spouting and showing you meaningless computer screens. During an oil change they damaged my oil pan drain bolt by stripping it, causing a couple hundred dollars of damage. Also incorrectly marked my vehicles mileage so that it looked like I drove 10k miles between that and my next oil change, which is causing complications as I am seeking reimbursement! For the record have patronized this store for tire services and those services went well. But a big boooooo on that oil change. read more

I have a big shout-out to Just Tires on Broadway. As always, they are the best. I called them at 8 a.m. yesterday b/c my car's steering wheel was shaking like it was possessed. I had been planning to go to Honda service but then thought "aha, I bet it is the alignment". They got me in at 9:30 a.m. and an hour later it was fixed with no charge because I had free re-alignment for 3 years from buying my tires there. Helpful, friendly, and efficient. ALWAYS. Is it because I'm a girl? I don't know. But when I went in for an oil change, tire rotation (free since I purchased my tires from the chain) and a new battery I was told it would cost over $220. After displaying some shock he brought it down by $15. Funny thing because I left without getting anything done there and went to my normal Just Tires on Waukegan and got everything for $160. I will never go back, nor recommend, the N.Broadway location. read more

I purchased new tires about 6 months ago. A few weeks ago on a Friday I saw my tire pressure warning light come on. I was driving home from work and it was cold and snowy. I stopped in and they refilled my tire. The next morning I was planning to head out of town. I got in my car and the warning light went on again. The tire was low, so I knew something was up. I went back over on Saturday without an appointment and explained my situation. Marcos Barrera told me he would do his best to get the tire checked out so I could still make my trip. I, like many of us in Chicago, experience a flat tire from time to time. My time was this week. Just Tires took my tire, which I did take off my car and brought the flat to them. They indicated it would take an hour, which it did, and they discovered a nail in the tire, which was removed and patched the tire. I was able to run some other errands and they called me when the tire was fixed and ready to be picked up. When I arrived, they actually offered to place the tire back onto the car and even tried to put my spare back under my car, all for not extra charge! Folks were very nice, curteous, and attentive to the few questions I had posed to them. Pricing are reasonable considering the level of service. Some have indicated that they lack appropriate room to house customers, but it seems to me to be an issue of so much business/repeat business, etc. making parking an issue....that to me is a good sign. read more

Went here over the weekend for a much needed wheel alignment. I accidentally drove into a curb and my car has not been driving right ever since. They were able to take me right away and it was less than an hour wait which worked out perfect because I got to get some pho down the street and my car was finished right on time! WE had an appointment today. I called to verify this morning and was on the phone for 16 minutes, got it verified, then some guy called us around noon and asked us our tire size. We were like, it is on our reservation, he hung up on us. Then at appointment they did not show and we had to call them and find out what was going on, they said the place where they get the tires was closed. (Why did they not get the tires the day before?) Usually I'm not a fan of anything automobile related -- mechanics, tire places, audio installation, etc etc. However, Just Tires is as good as it gets. My car's low tire pressure gauge turned on yesterday morning as I was making a quick trip to my dry cleaners. I was thinking about where I could go to fill up some air when I saw a Just Tires location. I walked in to see if somebody could just fill me up, and the manager had one of the mechanics fill me up. There was a nail in one of my tires. I dropped off my car with them, and received a phone call about 45 minutes later that they were able to patch my tire. Only set me back about $40. Went in to have a nail removed from my tire. Was told the problem couldn't be repaired, car needed a new tire. And then the up-sell started. If you're getting a new tire you should really get two tires for $400, I was told. But not to worry if I bought 4 tires before the end of the week I would get some percentage off. Plus even more off for signing up for their branded credit card. Not being born yesterday, I left and went to a tire-shop which enjoys a good reputation. They fixed the tire for $30 (thirty). Used to go to Just Tires for oil changes, alignments and more. Never going again for any reason. read more

These guys are incompetent corporate scum at its absolute worst. I had a slow leak in my tire. I took it to Just Tires and left it overnight 3 times at a cost of $472 and the never fixed the leak. I took it to Auto Tech just down the block on Foster and Broadway and they fixed it in a manner of hours for $34!! I informed the assistant manager at Just Tires and without doing even the slightest due diligence refused to give me a refund. He claimed in an exceptionally rude and arrogant way, without any proof whatsoever that the original problem was the bent rim even though I had not hit anything in months and I had the exact same slow leak after they 'fixed' it and, according to him I just coincidentally and suddenly developed a problem with the valve stem. He conveniently left out the fact that I brought it back to them a third time (the first time was a simple patch that did not work, the second time they changed the rim, which did not work) and they acknowledged it was the valve stem that was leaking and replaced it and I still had the same slow leak. Auto Tech explained to me that Just Tires used the wrong valve stem. This place is named Just Tires and the don't know how to replace a valve stem! Being 'experts' in tire repairs you would think they knew enough to first check the valve stem when I brought it in. Auto Tech did. And again they want me to believe it was just some strange coincidence that Auto Tech was able to identify and fix the problem in 1 hour and it was the valve stem. I also informed them that when I was filling up my tire due to the slow leak I often noticed it lost air as I was filling up the tire; I just didn't have enough knowledge to understand it was the valve stem until they told me it was the problem. It could not be more obvious that it was the problem the entire time. These guys are straight up idiots but I find it impossible to believe that it never crossed their minds that maybe the problem was the valve stem the entire time. They just didn't want to give me a refund. It is not the money. I can afford it. It is the principle: I trusted these people and they stole from me. They will have to answer to a judge because I will not let them steal from me w/o a fight. They will not only have to pay me the money they stole from me but also reimburse me for a new rim because the one they installed is mismatched and all dinged up. TRUST THESE PEOPLE AT YOUR OWN RISK!! Why go to Just Tires when Auto Tech down the block is cheaper, quicker, friendlier and MUCH more professional? And unlike Just Tires they don't try and upcharge you. At Just Tires they find some phantom problem you need to fix every single time you bring your car in. read more

I love these guys. Today was the second time we went to them with a tire issue. Today we had a screw stuck in our tire and even though our tire wasn't flat, the screw had to go and I wasn't about to mess with it. We called ahead and were told there would be about a 1 1/2 hour wait. Ok, cool, no problem. We decided to drop it off and have dinner next door at Demera's Ethiopian Restaurant (very good). They called us when it was done and had removed the screw and the tire was fine. And, best of all, at no charge! We were amazed. We had visited them previously with a tire issue sometime in the spring. And even though we came in with a flat tire, they couldn't find any issue with the tire and checked it out and did everything for free. We did end up buying a lugnut key from them (for like $5) since our car has funky hubcaps but that's the extent of our expenditures with them and our tire has been fine ever since. read more

Good lord! The attitude of the attendant was absolutely unacceptable!! I waited for 3 hours for one tire to be fixed and the attendant came to tell me that my tire needs change instead of fixing due to the position of the nail. That wasn't what his colleague said when I came a couple of days ago to show them that I have a flat tire and I had it repaired with a plug to get home by someone near bye but I needed to get it fixed now! He had me come for this appointment! In any case this place is one of the worst tire shops I ha e ever seen and visited! Terrible attitude!! I would definitely not recommend going here to get your battery replaced. They say they are more than Just Tires, but I beg to differ. My car's battery needed to replaced, so I took it here, figuring a battery was an easy repair, plus they have really good evening hours. Anyway, they do it all very quickly, but as I'm driving around the next day, my car is dead in the Walgreens parking lot. I take it back to Just Tires and they check it out and deem nothing to be wrong with it and maybe I should "take it to a full-service mechanic". So I take it to the guy I trust and he can't figure it out either. Nothing was wrong with the alternator or starter. So he starts checking around the new battery. Turns out it was installed incorrectly and something was disrupting the charge to the terminals. So my guy fixed it. TL;DR If you aren't looking for tires, don't go here! read more

I have nothing but good things to say about my experience at Just Tires. I originally came in to patch a front tire and ended up getting four new tires, an alignment and brakes. My service rep, Kevin, was outstanding. Very accommodating and helpful, everything you want in a customer service person. He was so nice and easy to work with. My mechanic was Pete and he was also incredibly nice and knowledgeable. He came out and spoke with me as well. I felt like I was in good hands with both of these people and that they were giving me the best advice on what was needed for my car. They were both respectful and answered all my questions. All the guys were friendly and courteous but my hats off to Just Tires for having someone like Kevin at the front desk. I saw him help others as I waited and he was kind, patient and informative. I am very happy with the service I received at Just Tires. They sold me two affordable tires and were very quick, yet thorough, with the work. What more can you ask for? The representative I spoke gave me three quotes. The first quote was the cost of replacing the two tires with the same tires I had had, which he told me he thought were overpriced. I appreciated his honesty. The second was the cost for comparable Goodyears, which he recommended. And the third was for a "step-down" tire, which he also recommended but did say had a bit less traction. He didn't have to do this; he could have just kept his mouth shut and I would have probably paid for the overpriced replacements. I even called back at one point to ask them if they could put more air in the two tires they weren't replacing (they were kind of low) and to see if they could top off my oil (which was also low, but I didn't want a full oil change). Turns out they had already put air in the other two tires (this is their standard practice) and they were happy to top off my oil from me. Best part is when I went to pick up my car, I wasn't charged for either of these things!! GREAT customer service. Thank you Just Tires! Oh, I also love that for $16 you can buy a 36 month guarantee on their tires. I realize not everyone will want to spring for this, but for someone like me - who has an uncanny knack for finding all the potholes in the city - this is a great comfort. read more

Had a gnarly flat. Couldn't repair it myself. Wound up needing a tow because I don't have a spare. Called Just Tires and they recommended a tow truck company. Tow truck guy wound up driving the car on and off the wheellift and shredded the tire... Needed a replacement. The guy at the counter didn't try to upsell anything which I was happy about. About 30 mins later, they called to let me know that my tread was separating from the wall on a different tire as well, which would cause a blowout. Ain't nobody got time for that! So, I had them replace that one as well. They rotated the tires to give me the most life possible out of the remaining old tires for no extra charge. Total cost $220 or so for two tires installed. I had never had a flat tire until I purchased most recent car, which only takes low-profile tires. Combination of low-profile tires, and city of Chicago's neglect of streets on the south side has resulted in multiple flat tires per year for the last seven years. So I've become intimately familiar with just-tires and their road-hazard warranty. Prices are very reasonable for Goodyear brand tires. (Just tires is owned by goodyear.) Better tire prices can be found at costco (sometimes) or online (always), but this place is convenient and trustworthy. And the aforementioned road-hazard warranty on new tires has paid for itself many times over. I've always found staff at this store to be courteous and helpful. (My one experience with a different just tires store in the city wasn't positive. I continue to use this location even though it is now at the other end of the universe from where I live.) There is generally a long wait before work is done. I usually have AAA tow truck deliver the car without me. If you do need to wait, they have wifi n waiting room, and there are starbucks and several restaurants nearby. read more

I bought a set of tires here a few days ago. Employee was friendly and helpful, providing several options for tire brands and prices. Installation time was a tad bit longer than quoted, but not significantly. They had a nice rebate program for saving money on the tires that I chose. I considered going elsewhere, but Just Tires has more locations in case I need any repairs. This is my second set of tires from this particular just tire shop, and I am pleased. I came here for an oil change because I got a coupon for $20 off of full synthetic online. I made an appointment online, and they took care of it reasonably quickly for a Saturday. This is a very busy location, so I wouldn't come without an appointment. Edit: I've come here a few times now. The last I was here, I had point out that they had not rotated my tires, but they took the car back in and did so. I think it's just because this location is always so busy. The employees are always very courteous and get things done as quickly as they can. The waiting room is always clean, and has plenty of chairs. You can also walk down to the Starbucks and they'll call you when your car is ready. read more
