The food and drinks were delish, and the vibe and ambiance were that of a dark romantic setting. Definitely great for a date night. Our ONLY complaint, would be with the Lobster Bisque. The preparation and serving was perfect (they bring the bowl with just the lobster meat, and then pour the soup over), however there were full chucks of peppercorn which once bit in to, just completely overpowered any other flavor of the soup. They recently did a revamp for the season. You can't go wrong with ordering a steak here. Steaks are flavorful and well cooked. Must get the lobster tail to accompany it. This place was amazing the calamari was so crispy and loved the flavor. The service was very nice and pleasant. The steak was so chewy and it feels like it will melt in your mouth, in a good way. I wasn't sure what to expect with a steakhouse in Margaritaville but was pleasantly surprised! We were seated quickly since we had a reservation - the place is not too big and pretty full on a weekend. The wine by the glass selection is limited but not bad, mostly California wines. Cocktail menu looked fun. Our server was very friendly and attentive and helped with packing our leftovers and giving us fresh bread! For the food, the star is the prime rib cut steak. It was cooked extremely well with great seasoning. The red crab appetizer was a surprisingly good portion but it was partially still frozen, so was the beef carpaccio. We started the night with cocktails with Ann, who was absolutely great--friendly, attentive, and made the perfect start to our evening. For dinner, we ordered a delicious Caesar salad, and for sides we shared the truffle mac and cheese, potatoes au gratin, and asparagus--every single one was rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Our main was the Prime Bone Rib Eye, which was tender, juicy, and cooked just right. Juju had the kids burger and fries and completely demolished it--always the best sign! To top it all off, they provided us with a complimentary anniversary lava cake and sparkling wine, which made the night feel even more special. We had a fantastic dining experience at JWB! My friends and I tried the lobster soup, and it was absolutely delicious. The soup was rich, creamy, and packed with a generous amount of lobster--every spoonful was satisfying. Plus, the presentation was top-notch (check out the video I shared!). One of us ordered a burger, which came with a big, juicy patty that looked just as good as it tasted. The service was outstanding--Stella was a star! She went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. Friendly, attentive, and always with a smile, she made our visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place! Came here with a Saturday night reservation for 8PM. Celebrated a birthday and it went very well. This is definitely a place to come to for a special occasion! The interior isn't huge, but it also doesn't feel crowded. We ordered the seafood tower for the five of us. It was exceptional and provided quite a bit of food. Not enough to be full, but the quality of the food was incredible. Individually, we got the lobster bisque (very good), the mac & cheese (pretty good, nothing crazy), caesar salad (solid for a salad), and the baked halibut (extremely good). This restaurant is definitely expensive and more luxurious than your average dinner spot, but the quality of the food is very good. read more

I hadn't been back to Tahoe since Margaritaville was the Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel and I was blown away by the renovations made to the entire hotel! The restaurant was lovely and the staff was all super friendly and helpful (highly recommend you stop by the bar and grab some drinks from Ann- she is the best!). The food is pricy but also very tasty- to be fair no one in my party got the super expensive steaks so I can't say anything to those but all the mains we ordered were delicious. We started with the fried oysters- I definitely recommend these, they were hot, crispy, and tender with maybe more creamed spinach than necessary but the extra was great with the complementary olive bread. For mains we got the Veal Osso Buco- tender and the polenta was on point, the Veal Ragout Pappardelle- tasty and a large portion, and the Ora King Salmon- perfectly cooked, amazing with the miso broth, and the mushrooms and bok Choy were tender and flavorful. The mixed drinks were a bit more expensive than I'm used to, $19 for most, but they were good! Overall a nice option for a special meal but not your every day dinner spot. Parking is valet only at the resort, but if you are eating at JWB it's free for 3 hrs. read more

Was skeptical about this restaurant since it had mixed reviews. Everything was delicious from the fresh oyster ( super sweet, wow 10/10), kids mac and cheese (creamy & cheesy-- I even enjoyed it as an adult ) fried oysters, the goat cheese salad, king crab, rib eye oh and the chocolate dessert--so decadent . We had an absolutely fabulous dinner at JWB Steakhouse during our stay in Margaritaville this weekend. The service was wonderful and our waitress, as well as the manager, made us feel like special guests. It was my husband's birthday so they gave us a free slice of key lime pie, which was delectable. As others mentioned, the prices are not posted online (and I'm now wishing I remembered to take a picture of the menu). Cocktails were the same price as the rest of the bars in the hotel ($16-$19) and were super yummy but did feel overpriced for the area. We ordered 1/2 dozen oysters ($30), the sirloin steak ($84), truffle mac and cheese ($20), and a large lobster tail ($30). I felt the prices were market rate except the steak, because it doesn't come with any sides and you have to order those separately. Overall, a great experience and I would recommend to anyone who loves steak or seafood but is not on a budget. The hotel itself has a great vibe and I'd recommend a drink at the License to Chill bar before or after -- they have live music and a great atmosphere. read more

First, Sal L., I've been here 4 days and they were not open 2 days ago so I can only assume your 5 star review is fake! Secondly, we had very nice servers. Third, the food was subpar and overpriced. My $38 chicken was a very thin and small piece of a breast and the augratin potatoes were flavorless and inedible due to the oxidized/black bottom layers- totally unappealing. Our server was great, however the food quality was not. None of the filets that were ordered were cooked to the temperature that was asked and were also very bland. Attached images were the most egregious. Friend asked for medium and received blue. Sent it back to kitchen, they "cooked" it more but didn't bother to check before sending it back out. They finally started with a new filet (a smaller one as the rest of the party was already done eating) and it was severely undercooked again. The server and manager comped this particular filet but unacceptable food quality for a restaurant this expensive. JWB needs to find a new chef that knows what they're doing and I recommend finding a different steakhouse until they do so, unless you're okay with bland food that isn't cooked to order. read more

We had dinner tonight and the food was delicious! My wife ordered the surf & turf with lobster and 8oz fillet. The steak was very tender and the lobster was good. My son and I shared half dozen oysters. They were tasty but small. I ordered the Halibut with asparagus and potatoes. It was delicious and tender the only thing it wasn't very hot. We also ordered the beet salad and that was good as well. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because we had to wait a long time for our food. read more

What we ordered: Half order of raw oysters: They were nicely presented and he enjoyed the sauces served on the side. $30 for 6. Would order again. Beet Salad: They split the salad onto two plates for us. Plenty for two to share. Salad was very average. Nothing stood out. $24. Would not order again. Wagyu Meatballs: Two smallish meatballs with two slices of sourdough bread and a small piece of grilled polenta. My 8 year old son had this as his entree as the kid's menu was the typical nonsense kid's are offered (tenders, Mac and cheese, cheeseburger) and he liked it but for $24, not sure we'd order again. Chicken Au Jus: Served with scalloped potatoes and asparagus. The scalloped potatoes were quite thick. Some pieces were not cooked. And the chicken was so dry it was hardly edible. I asked for more sauce, but that didn't help. Almost $40. Would not order again. Halibut: Served with fingerling potatoes and asparagus. Again, this was incredibly dry. Way over cooked. Not sure of the price but would not order again. Molten Lava Cake and Key Lime Pie: Both were good. Key lime pie was very thick and huge. More than enough to share. $16. Would order again. Molten lava cake was warm and gooey. Not sure how much as they comp'd it for a birthday. Service was attentive but not overly friendly. Definitely some huge room for improvement. We didn't order steak as we couldn't justify the $90 average price tag (without any sides). We will visit again. Hopefully the issues with the food will be worked out. read more

Very casual non assuming prime steakhouse serving the lobby of a newly rebranded margaritaville hotel formerly an embassy suites. No dresscode, light and easy decor and excellent food. On June 28, 2025, my wife and I checked in early for our 6:00pm reservation. After a brief wait we were seated. We ordered two cocktails and the Calamari appetizer ($24) and it took 30-plus minutes before we received them. While waiting for our appetizer we ordered our entrees. I ordered the 10oz Center Cut Filet ($75) and a table side order of Creamed Spinach ($12) to share with my wife. My wife had wanted the Baked Halibut, however it was not available so she opted for the Chicken Au jus ($38) that was to be accompanied with Au Gratin Potatoes and Asparagus After an additional 40 minutes we received our meals. We asked the waitress who delivered our food (not our initial waitress) why it took so long to receive our meals and she stated to many patrons had been seated at the same time and the cooks were overwhelmed. My steak was cooked medium rare as I ordered, however my wife's chicken breast was over-cooked, she received 3 thin pieces of asparagus also over cooked. The Au Gratin Potatoes serving was inedible, over baked and had just one layer of potatoes about the size of a playing card. When ordering my wife's entrée, we specifically asked if her side of potatoes would be enough for us to share and the waitress said "Oh Yes" subsequently based on her response we only ordered a side of the creamed spinach. After the food was brought to our table our original waitress came by and asked how everything was and we advise her of the problems, including the fact we had not received our side of creamed spinach and she told me rather defiantly that we never ordered it. Finally, she said she would get us an order of spinach and quickly returned with a cold bowl of spinach. I was very frustrated at this point and I told her to take it away. The patrons at the next table also received cold spinach. Overall, this is the worst dining experience my wife and I have had in all of our 28 years of dining out. I will never return to this restaurant and would tell potential customers to proceed at their own risk. read more

The steak is overly cooked and consistently overcooked as my other companion experienced the same. I ordered a surf and turf and I'm not sure how you can screw up on the lobster too. The lobster was overcooked as well. The side of wild mushroom was bitter, way too much cooking wine. Overall, this place was very expensive but the food was extremely mediocre, borderline bad. We had a reservation for our 38th wedding anniversary and the hostest tried to seat us in a corner where there is a known AC issue. We said no, I almost walked out right there. My wife's filet was not cooked correctly, My entree advertised Garlic Confeit, there was one tiny clove of garlic in the Miso sauce. I don't think anyone of the staff knew the items on the menu, I questioned the menu item and was brought extra garlic cloves in Olive oil which was what I expected to be served at the start. I won't go here again for awhile, I enjoyed my meatball sandwich & fries at Joe's Sports Bar & Grill the evening b4 at Harvey's better and sat where I wanted for a lot less.
