Each station, as well as the entire salon, is cleaned and sanitized constantly. My technician was attentive and communicated with me, as she cared for my feet. Problems that were once there are now gone because of her expertise. I can hear other clients expressing their appreciation for the care that they are receiving with their manicures and pedicures. Staff is always available to help you with your polish type and color. They will also help match a hard to find color. They are very good at explaining the pros and cons of techniques and polishes. The salon is well ventilated. Walk-ins accepted but I always choose to make an appointment. There is plenty of parking in the adjacent parking lot. I usually am able to find a space right in front of the salon. I've always had an enjoyable experience! Surgical precision and attention to detail every time.

My pedicure was really poorly done - it seemed like it was her first time ever doing nails. The nails were cut unevenly, she didn't do any sort of cuticle care, barely even took all the previous paint off that I had, then painted sooooo poorly... it looked like I could've done better. My manicure was ok... but felt really upcharged for a gel builder ($60???!) The ladies were super sweet but I think they need some more skilled technicians in here. Today I got a modified version of the green set. You can see the quality of work in the picture of my nails (pink set) I was charged 210 dollars for hard gel on my natural nails with the modified design. The reference picture has a diff design on every nail, I got the same 5 designs on both hands. She charged me 137 for the design. That is the most ridiculous price I've paid. She never mentioned it would be that expensive and I never imagined it would be anywhere close to that. It was partly my fault for not asking the price before we began but this quality of work is not worth over 200. A price like that is something you discuss with the client. I never would have agreed to get them done if I knew. I questioned her when she gave me the price and she mentioned it was 137 for the design because it was difficult and took 2 and a half hours. I appreciate that she did her best but to look at that work and think to charge someone 137 is insane, without even letting me know beforehand. I paid and even tipped 15 because I just try to avoid conflict but I am so upset and feel stupid for spending that much on a mediocre nail design. I would avoid this place for any kind of design. In response to the owner: No I'm not happy with the work. It looks nothing like the picture I showed. I read that California Nails was under new management, so I thought I'd give them another try. Per other reviews, the shop has indeed been renovated and it looks lovely. The prices are comparable to other nail salons in the area. I got a gel mani and classic pedi. The two nail techs who worked on me knew what they were doing. My nails are simple, as requested, and they are beautiful. I like a neutral nail and the lady who worked on my hands gave me two coats, which I appreciate because sometimes nail techs lay it on too thick. My pedicure was perfect and if I had more time I would've paid extra for a longer massage. Her hands were magic! I took off a star because the towels they used were stained and the UV lamp had dried up nail polish on the inside. The white chairs had handprints and stains. Keeping the space clean would really elevate the experience for future patrons.
