Pedi completed and woman went off to service another client and when I asked about my mani, it was done on a rush. Paint peeled off within 48 hours. I'm at the age where "rushed" jobs are not ok. I had been passing by this business for several weeks trying to get a feel for it. It's hard to find a good nail salon and tech that is also affordable priced and accessible. I have been going to the same Salon for 14 years, and continued commuting there ever after moving away. Now just felt like the time to see if I could find something more convenient. I am pleasantly surprised with California Nails. It's clean, organized, and has a nice calming, spa like vibe. No tvs blasting reality shows or loud chatter. The music was super relaxing. The space truly feels like a reprieve-- somehow blocking out the busy traffic flowing by outside on Colorado Blvd. I walked in without an appointment and was seen pretty immediately, even though there were many other clients getting services done. Staff was friendly enough-- got the job done and let me relax. Most importantly, my service was done with care and attention to detail, and my nail tech didn't hurt me! Two stars because the salon is very nice and the lady that did my pedicure was sweet. However, my pedicure was far from what I am use to and still the same price I pay at other salons. I paid $50 for gel pedicure and my toes look horrible. At checkout the front desk charged myc ard twice and said they were refunding it. It was chaos. read more

There were a few ouchies, but nothing flagrant. They had a huge menu of color options, and faithfully tried to recreate a simple neutral nail with glitter I wanted. Reference pictures were helpful.
