Absolutely delicious. If you like pasta and stir fry style food - this is the place for you. Went here with a group of 8 on a Saturday night. Wasn't super packed. We were seated right away. We did have reservations, but we didn't see anyone waiting all night. We got lots of appetizers to split amongst the table: the mushroom dumplings, cucumber salad, one of each of the fresh rolls, 1000 broccoli, and some type of bread with cheese that I'm actually not sure what it was called and after looking at their menu again I can't find it, but I'm attaching a picture for reference. I would absolutely get the bread and the broccoli again. Those were our tables favorites. Everything else was still delicious. I got the chicken and broccoli lomein, large size, medium spice. The spice level was great. The portion size was very generous and I took home leftovers. I will say they do charge you $3 for the large size to get a mix of chicken and broccoli so be aware of that. The waitress did warn us which I appreciate. I did enjoy the lomein noodles. I tried our friend's hand cut noodles and udon. They were all great and everyone enjoyed their meal. Our waitress was super kind and helpful. With a large group she handled us very well. She even split the bill multiple ways which we appreciated since I know that can be a pain. They forgot our friend's rice dish so she sat there for a while with no meal while the rest of us ate. After a while we notified the staff and they apologized and brought it out quickly and even took it off her bill without her asking which I was very impressed with. Most places would not do that. They did also charge .50 for going up a spice level which was interesting but not a huge deal. Also be prepared to sit for a while. We were a large group so understandable things take a while. We were there for a total of 2 hours and 45 minutes and that was just from the time we sat until we got the check. It seemed like our waitress was in charge of most of the restaurant. My partner & I made it into Buffalo early before a concert. We wanted something we don't get much of in Syracuse. While looking at restaurants near KeyBank Center, we found K:Dara Noodle Bar. We didn't notice signage outside of the door. We walked up, saw there was a paper menu taped to the glass, and opened the door. There were stairs to walk down to get to the host stand (I'm not sure if/where the elevator is). We were the only guests there around 4:30pm before the concert, but within the hour the place was packed and there was a wait. We started with two drinks, Jet Set (Asian pear, jasmine, black tea infused cognac, Swedish punsch) and Spanish monk (gin, green chartreuse, lemon, simple syrup, and egg white). Both tasted so well made and they're certainly not drinks we would think about normally ordering so it's great they showcased these options on their "Features" board. The "Features" paper menu offered "K-bread" as a starter. The server described it well and referred to it as their version of garlic bread. It was soft and sweet with a creamy melty cream cheesy filling. So worth it! I ordered the cucumber salad and the featured hand cut noodles bowl with mushroom and beef. Both simply delicious and the noodles had me wishing I ordered a large instead of a small! My partner had been craving pho and ordered it. I could tell he loved it after seeing his smile post- first-slurp. We wrapped our evening with the spiced crème brûlée. If crème brûlée is on the menu, then, rest assured, we are ordering it. Truly, I think their crème brûlée takes first place in my book. I loved the little kick of spice. It made it different! Give it a try. I only wish I had room to try the piña colada flan. read more

We had a perfect dinner this evening at K:Dara Noodles Bar. I ordered the frequent flyer cocktail, which was dry and delicious. We shared the pork dumplings. Also delicious. The best was the crispy egg with beef and duck sausage - a perfect combination of vegetables, noodles and well seasoned meat. All great - my favorite was the cucumber salad! For dinner I got the Udon noodle bowl with chicken. Ordered the small size and it was perfect. So much flavor and perfect portion! Their noodles are good but their fried rice is life changing. It's SO GOOD! I've been a few times now and I can't not order it. Yesterday was my second time at K'Dara. It is wonderful! A little hard to find (you have to go downstairs when you enter). The menu is somewhat basic, but has everything you could possibly want. They also do a few specials. This time around, I was there with three girlfriends. Cassie was our server and she was AWESOME! She recommended some of her favorite items and was happy to answer all of our questions (there were a lot of questions!) we took her suggestion on the 'complicated Riesling' bottle and tried the eggplant and the garlic bread appetizers. Both were so good. For dinner, I ordered the special noodle bowl, my one friend got mung bean noodle bowl and two got udon bowls. Everything was amazing! Another shout out to Cassie who split our bill up four ways, charging each of us for 1/4th of the apps. I've never seen this done before and appreciate the extra time it took her to do. Great food - could deal without the waiter attitude. Went to lunch with 5 other teammates for lunch here. Great food but when it came time pay the bill, the waiter drops a check in the middle of the table. No questions at the beginning, such as "separate checks" or "is one check acceptable"? When asked to please provide separate checks, as some of us had corporate cards, some had personal cards and at least one had cash, the waiter abruptly scooped up the check and stormed over and proceeded to split the check. The whole team was definitely left feeling the cold shoulder. I'll consider possibly going elsewhere when going with a larger group of people in the future. Management: you are a stone's throw away from M&T bank. Your staff should be expecting multiple payment methods AND also the possibility of multiple checks needed. The only indicator of where K:Dara Noodle Bar is was a sandwich board that had a K in a circle outside the door with a staircase heading downstairs. At first glance, there seems to be plenty of seating, with a great view of the bar at the back of the room. I was part of a party of nine, which appeared to be the largest group of the evening. We had a 6 pm reservation and I'm sorry to say it appeared the staff was ill-prepared for the amount of effort it would take to manage such a large party along with the rest of the room. All in all, it took until after 8 pm for us to enjoy drinks, starters, entrees, and get our checks closed out. I was the second to arrive and waited nearly 45 minutes for my Martini. Apparently, the bartender lost my order... it supposedly had lemon in it (which seems strange in a coffee cocktail), but I couldn't taste it. I saw one server (Cassie), one person clearing place settings, and a person I'm assuming was the Head Waiter, who actually interrupted Cassie (as she was answering questions and taking orders at our table) to hand her food for delivery to another table. My dining companions & I were in utter SHOCK to see that happen... I shared the pork dumplings & mushroom dumplings with a friend. The mushroom dumplings had something spicy in the filling that I found enjoyable but was overwhelming to my friend. I ordered the bean sprout salad but felt I had to ask for more ginger dressing for the amount of sprouts in the bowl. For my entree, I chose a weekly feature of wonton bowl with handcut noodles, spinach, pork meatballs, and enoki mushrooms. The meatballs were soft & flavorful. The dumplings had a delicious contrasting flavor, and there were plenty of enoki mushrooms in the broth. I would have loved to try either the creme brulee or the Car Bomb ice cream, but after taking 2 hours for the rest of the meal, I sadly passed on dessert. read more

We were greeted warmly at the host stand. Great start to the evening. We used to LOVE SATO Brewpub, so I was a little apprehensive that this new place wouldn't live up to it. But I kept an open mind. Cassie, our waitress, was so nice. The place was busy, but I saw the staff doing their best and they made it work. Now for the food. When I tell you this food was life changing. I'm going to have dreams about the chicken lo mein and the piña colada flan. My husband got the chicken fried rice which was very good too. I bumped my rating up to 4 stars instead of 3 because of the following .... * my entree , a special containing homemade noodles , enoki mushrooms , Thai basil , spinach , beef , been sprouts was absolutely delicious . I wanted to lick the bowl clean . * the ambience is great . Spacious, not too loud . In a historical building . I loved the vibe . * Our server was very sweet despite being overwhelmed and only being a server at K Dara for two weeks . Separate checks were granted to everyone . With that being said , drink orders were forgotten , our server was interrupted repeatedly from other staff regarding other customers (not professional) and it definitely took a long time to receive our food orders . I wanted to order dessert too , but was getting quite tired and declined. I would still dine again but maybe during the week with a smaller group . We have been excited to try KDara Noodle Bar now that they have their own freestanding location. We were able to get a reservation to celebrate my significant other's birthday and were not disappointed. Set up in the location which previously was home to Sato Ramen on Pearl Street, KDara has a great space to operate in. KDara specializes in fresh, hand made Asian noodles which can be made into stir fry or soup dishes. You can pick your own protein, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options are available as well so the menu caters to different diets which is a plus when dining with a group. We started with the cucumber salad which was fresh and spicy. I enjoy spicy cucumbers and love to add them on top of my stir fry. For mains we opted for str fried versions of the crispy egg noodles with beef and the chicken and udon. Both were delicious and flavorful. The noodles were fresh and amazing. The crispy egg noodles had a wonderful sear and still had some chew while the udon were plump, chewy and to die for. You could adjust your spice levels here and choose from a large or small portion size. We chose the large sized entrees and the amount of meat was generous but for the extra charge we didn't feel like we got extra noodles. I'm not trying to complain but think it's worth mentioning because you would probably want to choose the large portions for the few extra dollars. Staff was friendly and helpful. I'm so thrilled to have such a solid vegan option downtown. This is my favorite spot for lunch dates. The food is impeccable, the service is always lovely, and it's a neat space. It is in the basement so there's a full flight of stairs and no elevator that I'm aware of, so it doesn't appear to be accessible. There's a separate menu that tells what's vegan but some things, like the fried rice, need to be ordered vegan or they'll come with eggs. The dumplings are good but my favorite is the mushroom udon. The tofu and broccoli udon are also good. I haven't had the 1000 degree broccoli yet but it's gonna happen eventually. The waitress was super nice and friendly. I got the mushroom taro dumplings and wheat noodle broth bowl with chicken. The dumplings were amazing, and they had a soft consistency inside due to the taro which was different and nice. This place can be a bit hard to find, but if you knew where Sato downtown was, it was the same location. As soon as you enter, it feels like you walked into a hidden gem. There's not a lot of privacy because of how the tables are set up, but it still provides an intimate setting. They have a full bar, but I went on my lunch hour and kept it light with their sangria. It was refreshing. The menu is pretty straightforward, and they also provide a menu of specials. For my first time here, I had to try the fried rice. When I say I want fully prepared for what was coming my way....I mean that. The portion was huge, and the flavors were just as big. I ate some and probably ate on it 2 more times after. Super cool place for lunch! It's pretty much a hidden spot so you gotta know people to find it!
