New restaurant replacing the Dragon Street Chinese. I decided to give them a try with the Christmas special that is only for online orders. The special is buy the minced pork fried rice get the next one free. So to be fair, I was only there to pickup and not staying to eat. The lady in the open kitchen yelled to sit anywhere. Not sure if this normal or not, but when I continued to wait there that should be a clue that I was there for a pickup. The first impression of the fried rice is that the minced pork is an after thought on the top instead of mixed in. The sauce that is used to flavor the fried rice is overpowering. It would be better that the sauce was less to be more enjoyable. Also, the serving size was much smaller than expected for the price. Went here at midnight one night with a friend and they were very friendly but the second dish they forgot to bring for 20 minutes until we reminded him where it's at and he said oh sorry it was sitting right there I forgot to bring it. Don't blame the guy it was very late but the chefs or whoever put it there could've said something or how did he not notice after 20 minutes that it was still sitting there. We were the only people at the restaurant at that moment. Food was mid. But still a decent spot that's open late. Maybe the other items on the menu are good I can't judge everything but I got a pork dish that was mid I'd give it a 6/10 The chicken was much better for sure! read more

We visited this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty empty for lunch time. We got three different flavor wings (original, soy garlic and honey lemon). The chicken was super crispy and juicy. We were surprised by the cinnamony taste for the chicken. It wasn't for us, but it was still tasty. My brother got the pork ramen which was okay. A friend suggested I check out this new place near me, and man was I in for a treat. Service: top notch. Our server always refilled our cups with water at just the right temperature. She suggested I get the pork rice, which did not disappoint! I had enough to take home for leftovers. Food: sensational. Friends and I split the 16 piece chicken. While the original is good, definitely mix up the sauces and see what you can get! I can't recommend the soy garlic enough. In addition to the rice bowl, I also sampled the ramen and kimchi pork. Honestly, everything on the menu slaps so far. Ambience: lots of cute little photo spots around! Overall: a welcome addition to the NoHo Arts District. We need more places like this. This was my second time at k-pub and I brought my girlfriend to make sure I wasn't over-hyping it. Amazing prices and GREAT food. By this point I've had over half of their yakitori options (pork belly is peak), and tonight we also had the seaweed radish salad, corn cheese, homemade kimchi, and for entrees-Jjapaghetti, and Sausage Spicy Buldak. My girlfriend can be picky but LOVED everything especially the Jjapaghetti. I had the buldak and while suuuuuper spicy tasted awesome and I ate it gladly through the pain. The two servers were awesome and I wish I caught their names because they deserve a shoutout. Super attentive and made sure I knew just how spicy the buldak was, while also letting us know about their soju/beer specials. Empty plates were rarely on our table for over a minute. I can't stress this enough- I wish more places were like this. read more

A brand new spot - so happy to get some more Korean food in the NoHo area. Everything was tasty! The K-Fried Chicken was extremely good (we got half and half Original and Soy Garlic). The other stand out was the kimchi pork. My friend got the minced pork rice bowl and loved it. They provided some sweet pickled radish for the table, and were just generally very sweet. Prices were decent too! They don't currently have their liquor license yet, but they say it's coming. I think this is a great addition to the area. We'll be returning soon :) read more

Finally an authentic Korean chicken spot in NoHo Arts District! Sweet and spicy wings were juicy, crunchy and savory-sweet. A nice play on traditional gochujang. Army stew was full of flavor with pork, spam, tofu and sausage. We added noodles to it by request. Tteokbokki was excellent and the kimchi fried rice had a great tang. Their kimchi was excellent (seemed homemade). Our only gripe about the food is that the banchan is at a separate cost which veers from traditional Korean spots like in KTown but they were generous portions and the flavor was on point. The ambiance was cool. Definitely looks like a sushi spot turned Korean bar food restaurant but it seems like a soft opening with parts of the interior and exterior under renovation. Overall a comfortable, cozy vibe. We loved seeing Korean Aunties in the kitchen making the food. Our server was still learning but very kind and helpful. There was only one server so he was spread thin. Hopefully in time K-Pub will have the crowd to hire more help. In general, a great spot to get some Korean classics. I was there last Friday with some colleagues who really wanted to try Korean food. (Disclaimer: I don't like to leave bad reviews after one visit but I want to voice my complaints.) First, around 4:30 pm, while eating, a homeless man walks in and begins vomiting near us. They call the police and he gets taken away. However, not once did a single employee or manager check on us to see if we're okay or apologize for the "inconvenience". Secondly, the food was okay. It felt very "lazy" and there wasn't any wow factor that left us satisfied. Wings were okay and the tteokbeokki was sub average. I want this place to do well because there aren't many decent korean places around this area. Also, readers head up, no alcohol in this pub yet. Owners of this establishment, do better. The small waitress with the glasses was the only 10/10 from my experience. Keep up the good service! read more

Walked into K Pub, I was curious to try it with my girlfriend. The name is fitting to the interior, the darker ambiance was laid back-- perfect for a casual date night. We ordered the army stew and original wings with sweet and spicy sauce on the side. The stew was flavorful and very comforting, like a home cooked meal. The star of the show was the fried chicken. It was cooked perfectly, and the batter was crisp and seasoned well. It was great on its own, but for a sweet and sticky wing lover, the spicy option is a go-to. There was little to no parking the area and their lot was small. The waiter gave us little time to decide what to order, almost rushing us but seemed nice. The food was overpriced and didn't seem worth it. The sauce on the chicken was good but too thick only covering one or two wings. Finally went and tried this Korean restaurant in NOHO. I previously ordered a plate from them on Uber Eats, and decided Id soon go and try more food. The delivery I ordered Pork Kimchee and Rice. It was a very good dish with some spice and gave me an idea of the quality. It was better than the place in Studio City, I also ordered a side of Bok Choy as well. Ok portion good quality. Today I went for lunch and had 8 wings in sweet and spicy sauce, and a seafood pancake. The pancake came first and was very hot. About 9" diameter like frozen personal pizza sized. Very flakey, reminded me of a thicker scallion pancake with vegetables and seafood. It was tasty and had a good soy sauce dip. The chicken came a few minutes after very hot, with nice crispy batter and sweet/spicy sauce on it. I would say the biggest negative was not enough napkins. Probably should have had a dispenser and wet nap on the table. The decor was really nice with wooden beams and booth areas. It felt like you were in a older korean pub but playing modern K-pop music inside. Not too loud but made an interesting ambiance. The issue I have most with the place is its a bit spendy. Chicken Wings, Diet Soda and Seafood Pancake were just over 42 dollars with tax. I think not including Banchan makes it harder to justify that price to eat consistently. There have been quite a few premium Korean places I have been to that have not skimped on the Banchan. Even BCD tofu which is a chain, doesnt do that, and only charges extra for the premium grilled fish for that. I think being in NOHO and expecting a non-korean clientelle to not know any better might be fine in the short-term, but I dont know how this will last with folks being a bit more thrifty about their eating out budgets. Recommended for occasional eats and maybe with a group for special occasions. Maybe repeat for chicken wings if you dont want to go to Ktown or even downtown burbank for Kbbq. If they get their liquor license and maybe do happy hour specials maybe they can actually sport for free banchans. read more

They raised prices on their menu 3 months ago. Server tried to say the prices were from a long time ago, I said, "Three months is a long time ago?" The atmosphere is great and has so much potential. Service was ok. Now the one star is for the food. We ordered tteokbokki, boneless & bone in chicken, seafood pancake, dumplings and fries. First of all, we ordered 2 flavors on the chicken. They both tasted almost exactly the same. Just overly salty and didn't taste nothing like Korean chicken. Seafood pancake was alright but way over priced compare to pancakes they serve in Korea town. It had no ingredients to be that price! Tteokbokki literally had no rice cake and the presentation just looked sad. Dumplings were edible but was nothing special. Fries were just normal fries you can get anywhere but was just overpriced. Alcohol prices there are insane as well!! I was so excited to have a Korean restaurant near me and wanted to support the place so bad. But after this experience, unfortunately I won't be coming back. read more
