I LOVE IT HERE!! we walked in randomly to get a light "snack" before dinner. We were greeted by a sweet lady that assisted us in picking our ramen, then picking our toppings. She took each toppings out one by one sweetly telling us how good it would be paired with the ramen we chose. We then went to the cashier to pay and the kind man took our bowls to the, stove? I guess you can say. And he cooked my ramen for me with thoughtfulness. We were then escorted to our table and they gave us yakults and choco pies in a basket (on the house!! ). They also gave us kimchi on the house, and when I asked if they sell it, they just gave me a bowl and didn't even insist on a tip. This sweet couple that owns this shop deserves all the business. I guess these self serve ramen bars is popping up around town now....and for awesome reasons! Everyone loves a hot, personalized ramen. My review is solely for the 'service'. Now, this is my first time at THIS location, being that it is fairly new. I've been to others in HI, WA, OR and CA....all with same concept. Pick your noodle, add your toppings and whip it all up on the cooker. There is a Caucasian guy that works there that was just overbearing. Didn't give me space. I understand that it may be his idea of being helpful, but when a customer tells you , 'thank you, I got this' , PLEASE give us some space! What really shocked me was when this guy, rang me up and then proceeded to open up both mine and my daughter's noodle pack with his bare hands! NO glove or hand sanitizer! He even broke my daughter's noodle in half without asking. I asked if I can do my seasoning packet myself but he proceeded to pour the pack with his bare hands into the bowl. We were assigned 2 of the cookers. He was basically making it for us. I told him we can do it but he kept mixing our noodles around. I asked him, "What's the point going to a self serve ramen place when we can't make our own'? His response: THESE MACHINES ARE OVER $1000 EACH AND WE DONT WANT YOU TO BURN IT. Are you KIDDING ME!?!! I threw my hands up, sat at a table and waited for him to bring me my noodle. Might as well right? Our noodles were good. What do you expect from a Buldak package? The service had me so irritated! The lady owner went around and gave everyone a free drink...maybe she saw everyone was pissed? IDK. Just left this place and I am so happy with the food and even more with the service! I came in with my young-ish kiddos and they helped us every step of the way. They recommended spicy and non spicy flavors for my youngest and everything was so good. Self serve Ramen isn't exactly a luxurious culinary experience, and even so all the toppings were great, we got beef with ours that cooked perfectly, the staff helped with machines to ensure everything was cooked well, they checked in on us and were incredibly nice. We were helped by the nicest lady, who I unfortunately forgot her name. Also a male employee was there who was helpful too. You choose your ramen from the vast selection on the wall. The lady was super helpful asking if you wanted something spicy, garlicky, flavor etc and making suggestions. Once you choose your ramen you can order toppings. I went with bok choy, bean sprouts, and spam. They assist you in using the machine that adds the water and heats it up, making sure to stir. Ramen with 3 toppings was $8.50. We were taking our ramen to go and they helped us wrap it all up. I loved the ramen and toppings I chose. We even got frozen boba which is delicious.
