I recently hosted my son's birthday party at K1 Speed Burbank, and unfortunately it was one of the most disappointing party experiences I've ever had. When I booked the party, the sales representative told me that our package included a private room. However, when we arrived, we were informed that the private room was already being used. Since guests were arriving and I needed to set up, I had no choice but to use the common shared party area instead. This was not what was promised when I booked. The food itself tasted good, but the overall service was extremely poor and disorganized. We were told that absolutely no outside food or drinks were allowed and that bringing anything in would result in a $250 penalty. Because of that policy, I purchased food and beverages directly through K1. Despite spending a significant amount on the party, getting water for our guests became a constant struggle. Staff were charging around $4 per bottle of soda, and when I asked about water, I was told I would need to purchase an entire case for approximately $60. Even then, water was not readily available. I repeatedly had to ask staff to bring pitchers of water because our guests, especially the children, were thirsty. What made this even more frustrating was seeing other parties and customers bringing in outside food and drinks while we were being told the rules could not be bent under any circumstances. When I asked if I could bring in coffee since K1 does not offer coffee, I was told no. Yet I was also told that regular walk-in customers could bring their own coffee, and one employee even said, "If you bring it, I'll pretend I didn't see it." The inconsistency in how the rules were enforced was incredibly frustrating. The party service was also poorly coordinated. The adult food was brought out first despite my request to serve the children's food. The kids became hungry and started eating the adult food, and by the time the children's meals arrived, many of them were no longer interested in eating. I had specifically ordered separate menus for adults and children, so this was very disappointing. Throughout the event, staff rarely checked on us, did not proactively bring water, did not ask whether we needed anything, and seemed completely uninterested in resolving any of the issues. No apology was offered for the missing private room or the service problems, and there was no effort made to compensate for the experience. For the amount of money spent on this birthday package, there are far better options available. There are plenty of other racing venues and family entertainment centers that offer better customer service, better organization, and a much more enjoyable party experience. When families are spending hundreds or even thousands of dollars on a birthday celebration, they should not have to chase down staff for water, deal with broken promises, or feel ignored throughout the event. While the racing itself was fun and the food tasted good, the customer service and event management were unacceptable. I will not be returning, and I would not recommend K1 Speed Burbank to family or friends looking to host a birthday party. read more

Upon arrival, my group was eager and ready to race, but instead of a quick and smooth check-in, we were forced to wait an unnecessary 20 minutes before even getting on the track. No one explained the delay, and we were left standing around, wasting time and losing excitement. For a business that markets itself on adrenaline and high energy, the start of our visit was anything but. After finally completing our first race, we were abruptly informed that we had missed our second race because we were "late." This claim was completely false and unfair -- we weren't late at all. In fact, we were there the entire time, patiently waiting through the delay they caused. It's incredibly frustrating and confusing to be penalized for something completely out of our control. How can customers be blamed for lateness when the staff made us wait for nearly half an hour before our first race even began? To make matters worse, Kevin -- the staff member with glasses and a beard -- was the one who delivered this frustrating news, and his attitude did not help the situation. He was dismissive and unhelpful, showing no understanding of how upset we were, especially since this visit was supposed to be a fun birthday outing for my friend. His tone and unwillingness to listen made the experience even more infuriating. K1 Speed needs to reevaluate its customer service and communication if it wants people to return -- because after today, I'm seriously reconsidering ever coming back. We visited K1 for a friend's birthday celebration. We had paid a premium to participate in a group event. Our initial two races were smooth and incident-free. However, during our final race several go-karts experienced power loss. When we attempted to flag down the moderator on the track, he repeatedly waved us off. The birthday driver, who was also a driver in one of the affected karts, slowed down. Consequently, his kart and others slowed down compared to the rest of the field, creating a hazardous driving environment. This led to a collision with the birthday driver due to our "racing" mentality, which disregarded the slower speeds of other karts. After the race, we approached the manager, Kevin, to explain the situation. He informed us that since we had completed the race, there was nothing he could do to assist us. Did he suggest that everyone in the race should stop driving and demand a restart? Furthermore, when we flagged the employee, he merely brushed us off. All we requested was a redo of the race because we didn't actually have a chance to race, due to the karts' slower speeds and the subsequent crashes. Kevin repeatedly responded with the same argument: "You completed the race, so it's fine." We then analyzed the lap times of the racers whose karts had been slower in the previous race. Their lap times had increased by approximately 15 seconds per lap. This significant difference, considering a lap being around 30 seconds, underscored the impact of the slower speeds. This experience was utterly disappointing, and Kevin's handling of customer service and event management was utterly appalling. As for the food, the pizza sizes were ridiculously small-barely enough for three kids-despite paying for a large party package. The value for money was shockingly poor, and the overall service was terrible. There was zero cooperation, zero customer service, and completely ineffective management. For the amount of money I spent, I expected a smooth and enjoyable experience, but instead, it was chaotic and disorganized. I would strongly advise against hosting any events at K1 Speed Burbank. Listen up, I'm gonna shoot straight here. Do NOT, and I seriously mean, DO NOT book a party at this godforsaken place , in regards customer serviced for a private party . It's an absolute ,crap show. My boy just turned 15 and we thought, why not have a bash there? Well, it turned out to be a monumental mistake. I legit felt like I was being ripped off. There's nary a soul around when you need help. You know what, I'm pretty freaking sure that going to McDonald's play pen for a kiddie birthday party would've been a better choice. At least it's free and they might just lend you a hand with balloons. If you decide to head down there for a one-day event or a few races, it's bearable; probably 'cause you ain't expecting much out of it. BUT when it comes to shelling out your hard-earned money for a party, for the love of anyone you love , don't do it. It ain't worth it, mate. Learn from my mess. read more

Luis & De Andre are very respectful and professional, they completely made my experience at K1. Passionate about the job with visible compassion for every guest. The track is nice, light to no surface wear unlike some other players in the karting space. Mild tire degradation from a few rough spots on track, but very manageable during a sprint race. Brake bias seems to be leaning to the rear, however there is no trail breaking allowed by the karts ecu. Probably a smart decision. It's a little difficult to go for a fast lap with all of the traffic from other guests, but it's all part of the experience. Some obvious miscommunication between employees, but this is usually the case with a new staff at a new location. Still a 5 star recommendation from me. read more

I celebrated my daughter's birthday here and it was the worst experience I've ever had with an event. There was no AC anywhere in the building, including the so-called "party rooms," which felt more like storage units than a place to host kids. The staff was rude, unhelpful, and constantly hitting us with hidden fees. The food was terrible, overpriced, and nowhere near what you'd expect for the cost. I spent over $2,000 for this event and the experience wasn't worth a fraction of that. It wasn't about the money-it was about giving my daughter a great birthday, and this place completely ruined it. If you're thinking of throwing a party here, do yourself a favor and avoid it. You'll be disappointed. read more

Then to make matters worse, they called the police and lied about being violent. Yet, they allowed the rapper and friends to smoke drugs. This is so crazy to me!!!! Who wants to sue with me!? Class action ya'll! My car was dangerously slowed by a negligent track operator with zero qualifications. I have substantial proof showing my group's races were clearly tampered with including my cart slowed to multiple stops in dangerous straightaways. Brought my son to the junior league which was scheduled to start at 6:30 with registration to start promptly at 6:00.Showed up at 6 just to wait out until 7:30 because someone paid for a 2hr close out of the place. It was 90 degrees outside.The inside was probably 100 degrees. No A/C in Los Angeles are you kidding me.What a joke! read more

Great place for go kart racing! They have a small arcade but be careful sometimes their games lag or get stuck and it takes your credits. Haven't had time to try the food but it's there. read more
