I have 4 dogs and 3 cats. All of which I take to K9 Loft for grooming. I was referred to them by 2 clients whom I trust implicitly. The space is clean and the staff is highly efficient which is very important to me. What sold me is that you can watch your dogs being groomed. This is very comforting as one never knows what goes on behind closed doors at other grooming establishments. The groomer on staff comes out & listens to your specifications, thoroughly writes it down, etc... Just had my cats groomed for the first time last week. I was blown away. Hands down, best job ever! Also, one of my dogs would become extremely panicked at the last grooming establishment that I used to take him to for years. He would become frantic and highly stressed out. He NEVER does this at K9 and it is a huge relief for me. I have noticed reviews that mention that the prices are high. K9 Loft offers discounts on grooming and toys if you are a KCRW member. Went to have my dogs teeth cleaned. She was returned to me happy with her pearly white teeths glowing in the dark..that's how a good a job they did. I have been taking my dog here for the last 2 years. He was new to being around other dogs, so they introduced him slowly to socialization, just a couple of dogs at a time. It was a comfortable, smooth process, totally professional. Now he loves it there and can play with other dogs anywhere. They have always groomed him beautifully and had him ready to go when I arrived to pick him up. Finally, they have WEBCAM! My kid loves to see jasper playing when we go on trips. My terrier mix baby girl and I love this place! The webcams are great to watch during the day--not only to feel closer to her but also to keep employees accountable (I called once after watching an employee handle my dog a little rougher than liked). I love most of the employees, but there are a few that don't have the best social graces. Other than that, they keep their place very temperature comfortable, their boarding facility is very clean and I never doubt leaving her there--whether for overnight or day care. AND they allow pitbulls or any mix breeds of the like (as long as, like every other dog, they pass the assessment test). UNLIKE Dog-E-Den down the street. I took my dog koda to k 9 loft pet grooming and brandon did a great job on him I could say he is a hard dog to groom but branden did a perfect job . Staff very friendly, front desk very carrying especially brandon very cares about dogs i was watching them behind glasses he could handle him perfectly and such a good job . I wouldn't take my dog anywhere but k-9 for dog sitting. Yes, it's pricey - but it's clean, no smells and the staff is extremely nice. Except some of the girls paying attention and petting only dogs they like. Luckily there is a new guy - Cole - he seems like a real dog lover- he gives pets to every single dog that's on the floor. I really wish I could write a good review about this place because my first two visits here were great, however, after watching their webcams while my puppy was there today, I will not be returning. My first call to K9 Loft today was that of a concerned parent. I saw my 8-month-old puppy exchanging bites with another dog. At first, it looked like play, but as I kept watching, it got more and more aggressive. My puppy has been very timid since we got him and has never exhibited any biting or rough play behavior. For that reason, I called to express my concerns and asked one of the employees to check on both dogs to make sure they were okay. The response I got was "haven't you ever seen dogs play before?" I watched on camera as she said she was going in to check on them, but didn't see anybody enter the room. I watched my dog repeatedly attempt to get away from the other dog and protect himself while another employee was standing in the room talking to somebody else. My second call was around 1:30 PM to ask if they had taken my dog out for a walk yet. We had paid extra for this service and requested it be done between noon and 1 PM to keep with the schedule we have our pup on. He hadn't been walked yet and they did not walk him until about 15 minutes after the phone call. The final straw today was when I watched my dog lay down in a puddle of urine while the same woman in the room did nothing. When she finally got around to mopping the urine off the ground (about five minutes later), she used her leg to shove my dog out of the way so that she could mop under him. I had to leave work early to go pick up my dog because I could not stand the thought of leaving him there any longer. Luckily, he wasn't hurt physically, but he looked incredibly uncomfortable when I got him. Another thing I noticed about this location specifically is the unattended mop and bucket of ammonia left in the room with the dogs. I understanding wanting the cleaning products nearby to clean up messes as quickly as possible, but that only works if messes are actually cleaned as they appear. Additionally, leaving 15-20 dogs in a room with this bucket unattended can cause a wide array of issues beginning with accidental ingestion. K9 Loft boasts about its "trained and experienced staff," but nothing I saw today exhibited those characteristics. It truly is unfortunate because some of the staff members here are excellent and really do care about what they do, but it only takes a couple of bad employees to ruin the whole experience. If you do take your dog here, please be sure to check in on the webcams as often as possible to make sure they are okay. read more

We have been taking our two dogs to K-9 Loft for several years. At first it was a good experience. They treat the dogs well, but their customer service is lacking. One visit, we came home with a different dog's collar on one of our dogs. WE called and we were told it was impossible for that to happen. The problem is that the name of the tag was not ours. When the other customer called, they had to admit they made a mistake, although grudgingly, and told us they would credit us the next visit. The next visit came, and they only gave us a half credit, and was rude about it. We will be looking for another groomer. No matter how well they treat the animals, if they treat the people poorly, they need help. read more

As stated in my review, this even occurred late last summer and you were not present, you are in no way qualified to make any kind of ASSUMPTIONS at to the condition of my dogs (plural) when they left your care. I made no assumption about your treatment or mistreatment of them, I stated verifiable facts regarding their condition after grooming at your facility. My dogs had fairly short hair when I brought them in due to the fact that it was summer and we keep them shaved. It was approx. 3/4 of an inch inch long when I brought them in, they were in no way matted. As stated, I was the one who dropped them off, NOT my husband so nothing was explained to him on account of...he wasn't there, and nothing was explained to me on account of...they weren't matted. I don't know who you think this is but you've obviously confused me with another client who was equally dissatisfied and equally disturbed with your handling of their pets. Lastly, I've never been to a groomer that didn't provide 100% visibility and I've never actually had 3 hours to stand there and watch, I doubt many people do. So, anyone who feels a sense of security because there's a window is delusional. read more

If you love your dog, do not trust it with these people. We have boarded with them multiple times and after multiple issues and chances given to improve we have had enough to say we will never be back. Each time we pick our animals up they and their belongings smell horrible, there is labeled tape on everything and that isn't the worst of it - We had to rush one of our dogs to the Vet to have tubes inserted into his arm after an attack while in their care resulting in $1000 bill and weeks of careful management - both dogs have returned with Kennel Cough on more than one occasion - multiple times we requested to purchase food for them upon drop off only to receive a call the following day that we didn't leave food, notifying us that our dogs weren't given food for their first day of boarding - lastly on our most recent boarding one of our dogs was playing ( they are Bulldogs, anyone with any knowledge of animal care would understand this ) tug-of-war with his leash as they were going to walk him - keep in mind our dogs have NEVER ONCE in any way shown aggression toward a human - they said our dog snipped at them at which point he was placed in a storage room alone while we are 2000 miles away and will be kept there without walks or care until we return home the following day to pick them up. We requested video footage of this incident as we know our dogs would never be aggressive unless abused and were told that it's confidential and they don't need to disclose the footage. A place who signs to care for your family only to treat them like criminals should not be allowed to remain open - people who can't handle animals with care are not worthy of a position in a company who's ONLY responsibility to TO MANAGE ANIMALS. After being left with no ultimatum aside from our dogs exile as he uses the bathroom on himself for the next 24 hours of solitary confinement I would give 0 stars but I must select 1 in order to post this review. read more

My mom has a bichon and a poodle/bichon mix who she used to take for grooming at Camp Happy Dog, but had a friend whose poodle got a really nice haircut at K9 Loft, and she liked being able to drop the doggies off right before their appointment rather than making them hang out all afternoon, so she gave it a try. None of us ended up being pleased with the results of that decision, least of all the dogs. On their first visit, the groomer shaved the pom pom off of our poodle's tail, and both of the cuts were sloppy and uneven. A few days ago, they went in for their summer cuts and once again, out poor poodle came back looking terrible. His body was trimmed too short, and on the right side of the top of his head, there was a giant section of hair that was a full inch longer than the rest of his head. The little guy seems to be pretty embarrassed about the way he looks now. But worst of all, they buzzed his stomach so close that they gave him some awful razor burn. The poor thing was uncomfortable and licking at it all night. The haircuts were so bad that her boyfriend went back and got a refund. You can be sure we won't be taking them back to K9 Loft anytime soon. Looks like it's back to Camp Happy Dog from now on. read more

I have 3 dogs and used to take them to camp happy dog, but after watching them drag my dog away from me in an uncaring manner to get groomed I decided to start looking for a new place. K9 Loft looks like the ideal place to take your pooch. Everything's going on out in the open, visible from Ventura blvd and the place is clean. If you only care about what's on the surface, stop reading and go give K9 Loft your money. The staff seemed friendly enough, but a little clueless. I mentioned the $5 off deal I had seen online and couldn't get a straight answer on how it applied to me. Needless to say, I left my dogs with them thinking it might cost about $100 for regular grooming with the discount. A few hours later I returned to pick up my pooches and I was unimpressed with the results. I asked for their nails to be trimmed - definitely not done. I expected the feathers to be trimmed on my collie/golden mix, not done, and none of them looked groomed, just washed. When the total was given to me it was $125! I almost pooped right on their polished concrete floor. What happened to the discount and why so much more than $35/dog? They told me that the discount applies on your next visit, and that $35 is the price for small dogs, and my 25 and 35 pound dogs were more expensive. This experience pushed me into the realm of diy grooming for good. I may not garnish my pups with bandanas, but they actually get their nails trimmed, and I do as good a job bathing them as K9 Loft for next to nothing in water and shampoo costs. read more

I am writing this review out of pure disappointment and hurt. We brought our little terrier mix here a couple of months ago and he got a great haircut (with a fun Mohawk). Recently we took a vacation to Colorado and left our little guy here for 5 days, because we had a great experience with the staff and facilities after visiting for a bath and grooming session. When we arrived to pick up our pup the grand total rang in at $331. Are you kidding me? $55/day =$275. They gave us a 5 % discount which came in at $261. 5.....So what was the extra $70 for? You would guess tax and the bath/grooming. Well, when our little pup was brought out to us he smelled like urine and his hair was longer than when we dropped him off. They reassured us that he had been given a haircut, just not as short as before (why would you not give the exact cut he had before?) But believe me when I say, this dog saw NO clippers. They begged to give him a cut and bath and we said NO. All we wanted to do was get him home. After begging we let them give our pup a bath ( we thought complimentary) but they still charged us $35 dollars for that. So all in all their retribution to us is $10 refund on our card. Are you kidding? You can't refund for the haircut you didn't give my dog. As if this wasn't enough they handed back my dogs pillow which was absolutely filthy. There was sticky white stuff all over. My dog has had this pillow for months and it has never gotten this dirty. Needless to say we threw it away. To top it off, his nails and legs looked like they had been through the grinder. His little nails were bleeding on my sweatshirt when we got in the car. Looked like a last effort to clean up their awful mess. I was in tears as we took our dog home. I felt as though we had purely and utterly been taken advantage of. I nicely asked the girls at the front who the manager was or if I could get in contact with the owner. It just sucks to lose all trust and faith in leaving your animal with good providers. I suggest doing your research and not spending the money for this place. Their motto is obviously based on cutting corners and not on loving these pups we all care about so much. read more

K9 Loft is pricey. Which means they should have exemplary client services. And even more importantly care about the health and welfare of the animals in their care. They have neither. And it not only only cost $80 for the visit to them but $400 (and more importantly 4 weeks) more to fix the little pup after being there.... throwing up and kennel cough. A month of sick dog is a disturbing result. While it's ideally located, the customer service since that time has been non-existent...even charging me for the time he was in their care (that day and days previously) -- because their agreement stipulates "pet owners are assuming all risk of illness, disease, harm to their pet by allowing their pet to stay at K9 Loft." Thanks K9 Loft -- for teaching me that taking in an incredible amount of dogs only to have a "your fault" policy keeps you from taking care of the health of the dogs in your care...and the clients also. I've kept care of dogs for 13 years and to tell me that it's my fault (when the pup wasn't around ANY other dog because he wasn't leash trained yet) is not acceptable. Fortunately there are other choices....and I recommend other dog lovers and pet owners to find them as well. read more

Brought my pup here for the first time, she was so scruffy when I dropped her off. When I picked her up she was a totally different dog! I loved her cut it was exactly what we were looking for! We only have ourselves to blame for the continued dissatisfaction we have experienced with K-9 Loft--we were given fair warning. On multiple grooming appointments, K-9 returned our dog with half his nails cut and whole sections of hair untrimmed. A complete waste of $50. I've had dastardly luck finding a decent, caring groomer in this town. Was never an issue with my Dachshund because she only got bath's and I was blissfully ignorant of how she was treated but when my poodle-mix joined the famiy and required clipping it became a nightmare with clipper burn virtually every place we tried. Here is all I will say about K9 Loft. The staff is friendly and enthusiastic. But people, wherever you go for grooming please remember that just because your dog comes out looking fluffy and smelling good after 2+ hrs it doesn't mean he enjoyed the experience! If you love your pooch pay CLOSE attention and follow your gut. I'm done with groomers in L.A. forever. They do not have to be licensed or even have experience so now I'm learning to do it all myself. My poodle might not look show ready but I'm happier and I know he is. read more

I just took my dog to get a bath for the first time here today. The bath was pretty standard and included a nail trim, gland express, and ear cleaning. For my small 15 lb dog, it was $35. Overall experience was very average. Pros: * Parking lot in the back * Quick and easy drop off process * $5 off if you check in on Yelp * Convenient location on Ventura Blvd Cons: * My dog left the groomers with some sort of abrasion on one of his back paws, so as we were exiting, he was limping and when we got home he kept licking it nonstop. This scared me at first, but he doesn't seem to be in pain at the moment. Potentially he stepped on something sharp near the entrance of K9 Loft? I won't blame the workers because I can't be sure they are at fault, but I do know he was perfectly fine upon drop off, and I am mildly concerned for his foot. * The default shampoo they use smells like cheap perfume. It kind of gives me a headache. If I do return, I would definitely opt for a different one. * I dropped him off around 9:30 am and they called to let me know he was ready around 2 pm, which was a decent wait. I expected to be able to get him within 3 hours, so when they called at 2, I was across town and couldn't get him until 4 pm (love that LA traffic). Had it not been my first time, they would have charged me additionally for daycare, which would have been unfortunate. read more

I came to pick up my two little dogs two hours after the time when they called me for pick up. I happen to take care of a vulnerable individual who depends on me entirely for care. I could not go any earlier. The manager insisted that I pay for "daycare" fee, when in reality the dogs were kept in the store's little jail, without oversight or water! I noticed they were panting badly with their tongues out when I arrived to pick them up. They headed straight for the water bowl when they got home. We have been bringing our dog for years only because of the convenience. We will NEVER go back. They have the worst customer service. My dog was in their day care and got bitten by another dog. They did absolutely nothing about it aside from apologizing. In the meantime, my dog's ear was cut and bleeding and now he is afraid of other dogs. They did not offer us anything, did not reimburse us for the grooming or day care, and when I asked to have the manager call me I never got a phone call. I am still waiting..,, Fast forward I decided to give them one more try even though I knew it wasn't a good idea. My husband had an appointment for grooming at 8:30, as they stated they have a grace period of fifteen minutes. He walked in at exactly 8:46 and they told him since he is one minute late they have to charge him a fifteen minute charge. I am in the business of customer service, I am well aware of the importance of helping and accommodating your customers that have been loyal and have been giving you their business for many years. You call them back. You offer them something. You are understanding of one minute and you do NOT decide to charge them. Good luck to this place. They have lost a loyal customer. read more

Started coming here about a month ago after awful daycare experiences elsewhere. I spoke to Yan before I committed to bringing my seven month old in for a temperament assessment and he spent even more time with me in person. He gave me a tour of the facility and explained how they operated while my pup was in their hands. So far Z is excited every time he's on his way to daycare and comes home very happy. When I watch him on camera he is always having a good time and appears to be watched attentively. Their shuttle service is extremely convenient and they are usually on time with drop offs. read more

If you care about your animal please do not take or leave your pet there. What you are about to hear is shocking. I took my dog to K9 Loft for a 5 night stay and grooming while I went away on vacation a few weeks ago. While away I received a phone call that an incident occurred and my dog scratched another dog. I was then presented with a bill around $1,000 claiming that it wasn't a scratch but a bite. My dog is the sweetest and most loving animal and has never once showed any aggression or hostility and I have no reason to believe this ever happened. They claim their place is monitored 24 hours yet they can't show me any proof or video to show me that it ever happened. I then asked for the vet bill or any type of documentary evidence and all I received was several threatening calls as well as a legal letter from the owner "Alex" whose real name is Afshin Sabouri. BEWARE he will harass you and try to force payment for absolutely no reason. If my dog ever did anything wrong I would take full responsibility. I picked up my dog after her stay and paid $400. They gave her a horrible haircut and she had several cuts and redness on her belly and leg and was depressed for days. I wish I read through these yelp reviews because they are really truthful and I could have prevented my poor puppy from this horrible place. It is not in my nature to ever write a bad review unless exceptionally well deserved. If a dog was in fact injured, I really believe it was as a result of the abusive from the K9 Loft employees or lack of supervision. At first I was pleased but now it seems like they cram in as many appointments as they can and my dogs are stuck there longer and longer. They don't listen to what I ask and do what they want to do with my dogs. If I am the customer and I am paying for your services. Listen to my request. That just makes you lose customers. We took our dogs there because we liked the open atmosphere and it was a lot closer than Euphoria. It was the most expensive grooming and wash they have ever had. It was nothing special and not worth the extra money. And in additon to the cost, the receipt leaves a space for a tip. Nicest people and a super spot for grooming. My dog is a bit (too) feisty, and they handle him so nicely and do a nice grooming job. I learned together that they also pick up and deliver. They do boarding and grooming and have a host of things to get your pet from toys to grooming to "everything " you could need for your furry friend. They just raised the prices so call for prices first. Parking is metered on Ventura Bl. Parking in the back is in an alley one way in and that means you need to back down the alley to leave - not great. Again they are very nice and very helpful so their parking isn't a big detriment and also there's usually plenty in front. Enjoy! read more

DO NOT trust these people with your pets. My girlfriend has an old and sweet little pug who was unfortunately subjected to their abusive and careless services. They overbook themselves at you and your pet's expense resulting in your beloved animals being crammed in cages for hours at a time without water. She attempted to notify the owner, but he never called her back. Instead of addressing the problem with his abusive staff, he offered zero resolution and asked her not to return to the shop on his reply to her honest Yelp review. If you truly love your pets, protect them by not ever leaving them at K9 Loft. read more

K9 Loft has been good to us on many occasions. We took Lulu there when she was still adjusting to being a pet. She was a stray, and she can be skittish and aggressive. They were patient with her as Lulu was adapting to a life of luxury. Now, Lulu enjoys playing with other dogs, and she enjoys being pet and carried (she used to shake in fear). The webcams are a great feature. Voyeuristic but an essential tool for overprotective k9 parents. They also have a great selection of treats, toys, shampoos, etc. K9 Loft is a one stop shop kind of place. read more

I've brought my Boston terrier here several times for day care and I'm very happy with the service. My dog seems very happy when we come here in the morning and the staff have always been very nice and helpful. I like the daycare webcam and I usually check up on him couple times during the day. The area seems to always be packed with dogs and I like that my dog is socialized instead of being stuck at home all day while I'm at work. Well worth the money! read more
