I want to share my deepest gratitude to the Sepan staff for delicious food and great customer service

First time here. I wouldn't order from here through uber eats or any other online service. The portion of rice and meat they serve for the price, I can make at home. I thought there was more under the lettuce and when I checked there was nothing under the lettuce. I put the fork as a reference to the amount of rice and chicken I got, less then half of the the plate. Service here as well wasn't it. My husband went to grab the food and he noticed they gave him a small container of food and he told them he ordered the big plate, the cashier didn't believe him until my husband told him I have a receipt and that's when they decided to change the plate size but all for what, if I ended up getting a small portion either way. I personally wouldn't order here through uber eats or other online service. I'm glad my husband told them he got a plate but we didn't check the portion in person, we just left and come to find out the small portion I got. read more

I've driven by this place multiple times, but I didn't think much of it because the outside isn't that great looking. My daughter wanted to order dinner to go from this place. Free parking in a shared lot. Once inside, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the inside wasn't that bad. Plenty of seats. The ambiance was causal. The menu is just like any other Mediterranean place in Glendale. The food was good, yummy, filling, temperature perfect, and presentation was good. The customer service was good and friendly. I didn't have to wait long for our order. Price of the food is the same as if I were to purchase it in Glendale. read more

The wife and I finally decided to try this place after years of driving past it. It was worth the wait. We both ordered the chicken kabob plate which comes with salad, hummus, pita bread, white rice and chicken chunks. It was flavored nicely and filling as all heck. We also got a couple of falafels. Tasty! I do wish that we were served on actual plates instead of take out containers. Both the in and outdoor seating areas were well maintained. As far as the ambiance goes.... I would like to redesign the room. Nothing major, it just needs to be a little more cozy. I'd start with the lighting. The fixtures are nice, but the light bulbs should be soft amber instead of the bright white they use. The inner dining room area has a lot of space that could be used better. I would line the walls with some dark wood bookcases and fill them with older books to create an aesthetic. I would add a small, vintage couch to the area directly across from their ordering counter and maybe add a side table to create a living room or study type of feeling. Finally, I would fill the room with real plants. All of this could be done for very little money and would improve the sit down experience. Even if they didn't do any of this, we agree that we would eat at Sepan chicken again. read more

I liked their beef shawarma wrap, every shawarma place does it their way and I find one here to be pretty good and more on the fresher side (flavor profile wise). Comes with a grilled pepper and a good portion of homemade hummus. Service was very friendly and everything was good. The patio is inviting and looks like there is a bar sometimes. Only thing is double check the prices when ordering. I got a tiny bottle of Perrier without looking which ended up being $6, absolutely unreasonable. read more

Decided to give this spot a try as it was outside the typical spots we frequent for this type of food. Saw a deal for bogo plates both online and at their storefront, so why not. The location seemed a bit odd as it was a standalone restaurant that served multiple varieties of food including pizza, which is not to be expected, though maybe it's good, I did not try the pizza. Based on the chicken, I likely would not return. The flavor was different, though I can't say that in a good way for me. Having tried many varieties in the area over the years, this one didn't leave me with the feeling of wanting to come back for more. The salad portion was decent, though a bit large in comparison to fill up the box. The rice was acceptable though a bit dry with the garlic flavor. The fallow of hummus was nice tough, albeit pretty salty whether due to seasoning in the hummus of sprinkled over everything. All in all, a decent deal for bogo, though definitely not worth the price for a single portion and not a meal I enjoyed with so many similar options in the vicinity. read more

This place used to be so great. However, i used to order the chicken shawarma all the time. But in the past three delivery order they have purposely given me less meat portion. I'm not sure if it's inflation or new order...but it's probably better to not order from Uber or Grubhub. Better to do it in person. The food is still delicious. read more

Recently, we were in the Glendale area for a meeting and wanted to grab a bite to eat. We literally stumbled on Sepan Chicken and decided to give it a try. We were totally surprised by this restaurant. It was clean, nicely decorated for the season and reasonably priced. We took advantage of their $23.99 two for one Chicken Shawarma Plates for dining in. The meals were in to-go containers instead of plates or, not a big drawback. It was presented very well and had generous portions. Everything was nicely seasoned and tingled our taste buds. A sign of a clean restaurant is the restrooms. Just like the restaurant, the restrooms were clean and fully stocked. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The only problem with this restaurant is the location, it's about 15 miles away from home. We wish they had one on the Westside of Los Angeles. If we are in the Glendale area again, we will definitely return to Sepan Chicken and Pizza. read more

I was actually on my way to Dune in Atwater today but didn't get food there because it was crazy busy it being Farmer's Market Sunday. Disappointing, because Dune is consistently delicious. But after doing the Market and some other shopping, on the way back to my car I passed Sepan Chicken and I thought, why not? I sure wish I'd read the reviews first. Definitely not consistent, and neither was my food. Nice people behind the order counter though. I ordered one Chicken Shawarma plate and one Chicken kebab plate with side orders of tabbouleh, garlic sauce and tahini. First of all the food: Side salad: good. Rice: excellent, delicious. Tabbouleh: tasty but could have been better. Hummus: not appealing at all. Lumpy and tasteless. Chicken: NO. That was the worst. There was definitely something off about the chicken on both plates. It tasted like it was going bad. Really disappointing, and I was really hungry too. It's a good thing I didn't eat very much of it, considering that another customer posted that the chicken made him and his partner ill with diarrhea recently. I'm surprised that they have as many positive reviews as they do. It's really too bad they are as inconsistent as this. The staff were quite nice, but nice doesn't cut it if your food makes people ill. That was a $40 mistake that I won't make again. Come on Sepan Chicken people, do better! read more

I've been driving past this place forever but have never stopped by to try it. I saw a Doordash deal for their chicken shawarma plates and decided to give it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised! For about $25 on DoorDash (and likely much less at the store) I got more than enough food for me and that says a lot because I'm often a bottomless pit. Ordered the BOGO chicken shawarma from Uber Eats as we couldn't decide what to get. The food was all covered in this sauce that tasted like mayonnaise, from the salad the "shawarma" and the rice. All covered in this mixture. The amount of protein compared to rice and salad was only about 3 ounces maybe less. The hummus was also not creamy. But in the end I was glad there wasn't more as it gave both my girlfriend and I gas so bad our stomachs kept us up all night then turned into diarrhea... for both of us. Juicy, flavorful chicken. Toasty roasted vegetables. The garlic spread...the fluffy pita. Sepan is ON. We were looking for a light lunch to hold us 'til dinner and found this place on Yelp. Parking was a cinch in their little lot. (pardon the oxymoron) We dined in our car out there and it was kinda cool watching the Laundromat traffic next door...good people watching. We ordered the CHICKEN SANDWICH. An odd name for what is certainly a Pita Wrap but, they can call it a boat anchor for all I care, THE TASTE was outrageously good. The succulent perfectly seasoned chicken and fresh lettuce and onions with their homemade tzatziki and garlic sauce was right on. And that little side of veggies you see in my photo - with roasted pickled beets - was crunchy good. Glad you're still here reading this but, hey - pull the trigger already! Doesn't want to explain what orders are I asked her how many falafels came with the order and she looked confused? So do you not work here? Prices use to be $10.00 less now and the portions continue to get smaller. Might be my last time coming to this location. Business have to realize that people spend their hard earned money on restaurant locations that have good customer service, good prices and are kind.
