I should have listened to my gut feeling when the place was empty and I should have gone elsewhere. The gyro plate was below par. The gyro slices where circled paper thin pieces of wanna be lamb and tasteless. The few pieces of romaine lettuce that was a side dish was ridiculous! This place is obviously trying to cut corners and we the consumer have to pay for below quality cuisine. The hummus was not fresh but prepackaged, who know how long? If you ever crave Iranian/Persian food, hold off and go to Richmond and Hillcroft, to some spots over there, you get real authentic food and they don't go cheap on their plates.. read more

I got a lychee/pineapple tea and it was nice and refreshing for $2. I also ordered Chelo Koubideh. Meat and rice were OK. The tomato was small yet so delicious and perfectly grilled that I was so glad my friend didn't like tomatoes so I could eat his. ;-D Yep, the tomato was that good. Wish that this place was a bit easier to get too but the food is well worth it!!! It is hidden behind Cafe Beast and the 6 lanes of Dulles crossing highway 6 so I think a lot of people tend to miss it. So good! We were looking for a new place to get Persian food after leaving our favorite spot in Philly, and this is it! I had the chicken kabob and substituted berry rice for regular. Excellently seasoned and cooked. Hummus was really good as well! Had the tropical green iced tea, which was also awesome. We went at dinnertime on Sunday, and the service was a little slow. Delicious. It's tucked away in the corner of a busy shopping center so it's easy to not see it. I got the Beef Kabob plate today. The beef was well seasoned and moist, not dry and tough like a lot of other places. Definitely check this place out if you're looking for good kabobs. read more

My husband and I tried Kabob Cafe today for dinner. I must say that the steak fries are amazing!!!! They have small pieces of marinated steak on them with a tasty hot sauce and creamy yogurt atop of a bed of fries smothered in melted cheese. The Beef Koubideh Kabobs are very moist and tasty and the portions are generous. My husband substituted his rice for a nice tasty salad topped with olives and feta cheese which he enjoyed. I'll definitely be returning to Kabob Cafe as there is a lot on their menu I am looking forward to trying! read more

i can't refrain myself from writing a review about Kabob Cafe- it is simply delicious! i am the type of person who enjoys venturing out at independently owned establishments. i loathe chain restaurants! Honestly, i was skeptical of trying this place out because I have watched this small hidden jewel turn over quite a few times. HOWEVER, due to other yelpers that took the time out to give their 2 cent, i decided to give this place a try. My friend and I both ordered the Chelo and Chicken Kabob Koubideh ( i don't think it's actually on the menu, but you can request one beef and one chicken) and LOVED it! Out of all the Persian/Middle Eastern restaurants I have tried (Bijan, Kasra, Cafe Caspian, Darband, Garson, Saffron [which are all yummy]), Kabob Cafe is at the top of my list! The meat is sooo flavorful and tendor and cooked to perfection! I will definitely return!! read more

I decided to try this place for the first time last night. Apparently it's been here for a while and I haven't even noticed it. (it's in the corner near Cafe East). I ordered the cornish hen kabob and one Persian "bastani" aka, ice cream. The cornish hen was really tender and the flavor was a mixture of that nice char you get from grilling something over an open fire with a nice savory seasoning. yummy. My order came with saffron buttered rice, onions and a roasted tomato. The ice cream was pretty good too. I'd never had Persian ice cream before so this was interesting. It's saffron ice cream with rose water, chopped pistachios, almonds and hunks of frozen white cream. The taste is different but I really liked it. However, the chunks of the white cream I wasn't a big fan of. Price is a little on the "expensive" side since there are places on Fondren and Hilcroft that serve the same stuff for a little cheaper. I did notice they have a tea menu and I love Persian tea (the kind you drink with a sugar cube) so I'll have to come back to try the tea for sure. read more

A very cute, family owned restaurant with authentic food. Things you must try: the santorini wrap, filet mignon steak wrap, and chicken kubideh. So fresh and flavorful they won't disappoint. Their jasmine rice and French fries are also very good. Service can be slow so I usually get take out, but the food is usually better with dine in. This is my go to place in Sugar Land when I'm craving a quick Mediterranean bite. read more

I go to the gym across the street from this place and I was craving gyro all day so i had to check it out. Although there is a Mediterranean cafe in the same lot as the gym i hadn't been to either, it was closed that day and luckily i got to try this place. Had the lamb gyro and fries to go. Really good stuff. Great friendly service and tasty food. I am definitely going back there to try more of the menu. Might be a good idea to call in your order if you are taking out though. my order took longer than I expected, but the food is made to order and Also the wrapping job on the gyro is meticulously done. Ive been here several times and the only conplaint I have is that the hummus is cold when it comes out... Its just my personal preference though. But it is good and the nan they serve with it is warm and not burnt. I keep ordering the chicken kabobs with rice... It is crazy flavorful. Kabob Cafe is a quick-stop Persian cafe here in Sugar land. The food here is good but not great. There is no wow factor, but I guess it's fast and convenient Persian food if you're craving it. Also, they tend to have lunch specials on Sundays. I haven't tried any of their specials, but would like to in the near future. I do hope Kabob Cafe improves soon, because I have only been here once, about a year ago. I am looking forward in trying something new when I next visit. read more

i love the chicken kabob because it comes with a meal combo which comes with fries and a drink of your choice all at a great price. I also like to get the hummus with the pitta bread also a great price. The location is convenient, right next to Cafe East in Well Fresh plaza. My brother goes to karate in the same plaza so while my brother is on karate I go and eat in this beautiful Mediterranean cafe. Also the decorations on the wall are very nice. Almost makes you feel like you are there. They also have a TV which you can request for appropriate channels. I found this place when looking for healthier options in the area without going over the top. Food here is pretty amazing. Tried it for the first time and kabobs are on point. We opted for salad/bread instead of rice and the salad was really good. I was able to place a to go order and pick it up. Next time we're gonna eat at the restaurant.
