Finally my husband and I tried this gem. It took a bit of planning since it closes when they sell out. But we called at noon and put in our order to pick up at 5 (paid online) Still a bit early for dinner, but it held great. We wanted beef barg, but they didn't have it that day. So we got beef koobideh and we were not disappointed. They meat was so tender, and lightly seasoned so the taste of the meat came through. The rice was fluffy and again lightly seasoned. We got one order and ordered an extra kabob, not sure if we would need it. We didn't need it because we got two dinners for the both of us and I had it for lunch twice. For starters, this place gets five stars just for service alone. They are the friendliest people ever, I feel so welcome when I walk in. It's small and unassuming but I promise it's some of the best kabobs you're ever gonna have. They marinate all their meats overnight and then fire them to order over coals. Be prepared to wait a little but it's more than worth it. Also order ahead of time because they sell out of things really quickly. Eyes wide open followed by the thought, how and why did I not try this place until 2023? If you follow Tone C or Localbuzz at all you'd probably see these guys on your feed and I always thought it looked interesting but never enough to make me go. Knowing what I know now, I should have gone much much sooner. The flavors are hard to describe but if I could sum it in a few words, smoky, layered goodness. The mesquite wood really does something and seasoning on the meats just does the rest. Even the rice is surprisingly good. Be careful with the peppers, sometimes they can be pretty powerful if you're not used to the heat and other times it's pretty mild. It depends on the type of peppers they have available. I've only had the chicken thighs and tender combo so far but I'll only ever go with the thighs because they're just that good to me, perfect mix of fats and protein. The setup is more of a takeaway place since the space is pretty small and there will be a wait. It's made to order as you can see the raw seasoned food on behind the glass. The owner Tony is a great guy with great energy, you'll see. Typically wait is 30-45 minutes so call ahead if you can. They also sell out pretty quickly on certain days. This is a IYKYK kind of spot in my opinion so now that you've read this, you should know and go. Easily top 5 food place in Phoenix in my books. read more

We ordered the chicken thigh combo for pick up. The lady answering the phone was super kind and helpful. She started off by listing what items they had left for the day (since they sell out often). We initially wanted the beef koobideh, but ordered chicken thighs because they sold out of the former. We picked it up, and she told us that the cook included extra meat because the chicken thigh skewer was smaller than their standards. She said the man in the back was a perfectionist So when opened up our food to eat, there was a generous pile of chicken thighs AND beef koobideh surrounding our plate! Let's first get my one grouse out of the way: limited parking is a challenge for this establishment. Everything else is excellent - the food with its bold flavors, the very friendly service, the scrupulous precautions taken during the current covid situation. The grilled Cornish chicken I ordered was so juicy and bursting with flavor, and the shirazi salad and grilled eggplant salads were the perfect sides for the main dish. It's just as well that dine-in is not really an option given the present national/international health milieu but these kind folks have made it really easy to continue to enjoy a terrific Mediterranean meal. read more

Although it was little dry. It comes with grilled tomatoes and jalapeños, Shirazi salad and a spicy chimichurri dip. The dip is great with chicken. Massive portions and plenty of leftovers. Don't let the location and small parking lot fool you, this place is packing HUGE flavor and massive portions - you'll probably know what I'm talking about as soon as you park in front and smell the open-air grilling in the back. No restaurant with mediocre food smells as good as this, so I knew I was in for some good eats. Ordered take out after work one day and was so blown away that I drove back here from Chandler on the weekend for some more. Everything is cooked to order, so make sure you call ahead if you want to grab and go. They prep food fresh every morning so they may sell out of some items, but I've tried every item now and can wholeheartedly say you can order anything and it'll be amazing. 99% of my future orders will have chicken tenders, pork ribs, or beef barg - possibly all 3, likely a combination of 2. The char and smokiness on every skewer is incredible and the flavors in the marinades are spot on. The rice they provide is just slightly flavored because of the meats on top and is a perfect complement to the meat. I really enjoyed their red chimichurri, so much that I have no problems paying for a large container to use on everything. The owners are super friendly and sweet and gave me lots of info on their methods for prep and cook. Endless LOVE, PRIDE and CARE from the over the top enthusiastic Chef Tony, endlessly warm Armenian wife Hasmik (plus their young daughter Jasmine often found behind the counter making adorable drawings for customers). This is a family business, and the love comes through from the moment you enter. Their authenticity makes any new customer feel like an old friend. These owners don't want you to leave happy, they want you to come back THRILLED. 2. Highest quality buttery tender charbroiled meats, marinated endlessly in a secret combination of spices that marry with the high-heat mesquite licked flames of the grill that impart flavors - a party in your mouth! Every bite is a revelation, and you will be addicted. We always order a combo which is really a multi-day family FEAST which includes with 1 pound+ of fragrantly seasoned meat , fluffy long grained basmati rice, shirazi cucumber salad, grilled tomatoes and Anaheim chili peppers. I also always ask for some onions too! The veggies get the magical grill treatment too, eliciting sweetness and caramelizing (especially the onions, which are OMG yummy). The Anaheim peppers often have a nice kick, with charred skins. Don't forget to ask for their stellar Chimichurri dip to top the meat. This isn't your typical green Argentinian chimichurri - theirs is orange, and has just a hint of kick that goes perfectly with any meat! Ugh, so good. The only challenge with this small to-go outlet is ordering before they run out of food. Kabob Grill N' Go has deservedly gotten a lot of positive press lately and so it's always wise to call in your order hours earlier in the day (by noon-1PM) before they run out of your preferred items. Let them know when you want to pick up. An average meal (order a few extra skewers) will probably cost you about $40 for a take home family feast that will last you 2 days, and for me this represents an incredible value as the QUALITY of the food here will far surpass your expectations. There is a consistency in what Chef Tony cooks - he is a master of the fire on the grill. I can't think of a single sit down Mediterranean restaurant in Phoenix (even at much higher prices) that approaches the quality/flavors/taste and LOVE that can be found at Kebab Grill N' Go. Very good place with a lot of hype (something I'm usually very skeptical of) that is not misplaced. Some observations: - The N' Go part of their name is important. There is limited seating so chances are you will be taking your food to go. - The drink selection is limited. Back to that N' Go thing again. - The prices may seem high, but the combo meal (for 1?) is honestly enough to feed 2-4...or 1 extremely hungry person. - For the first time, ordering in store is a good idea. After that ordering over the phone is best. Food does take a bit of time to come out so be prepared for the wait. - Not a complaint but the combo comes with two blistered Roma tomatoes and a chili. One tomato for me would have been more than enough and I took a pass on the pepper. But back to the amount of food, if you're sharing with others there might be takers. - Oddly the salad and cucumber sauce were the things there was the least of. I could have used a lot more of both (you can buy more as sides) and would have been willing to give up some rice (of which there was a lot) and one of, if not both, tomatoes and all of the chili. - The owners are extremely nice people. - Parking is/was a challenge. - If it is important the food, while extremely good, is not halal. read more
