    Initial Order.

I Ordered Through Grubhub And If I Could Give Zero Stars I Would. First Things First Basically My Whole Meal Was Missing. It's Supposed To Come In A Platter However, They Packaged My Rice As A Side... Packaged My Chickpeas As A Side (There's Two Containers As I Got Double Chickpeas. One Was Not Even Halfway Full As Shown In The Pictures). Even My Receipt That's Supposed To Be Generated From Grub Hub Was Not There. They Just Wrote On a Blank Receipt Paper And Stuck It To My Bag. My Samosa? Not There And My House Salad? Nonexistent. I Specifically Asked For Them To Make Sure The Salad Is Included Because When I've Ordered Previously They Only Included The House Salad Once. The Next Time I Ordered I Didn't Receive A Salad (It Comes With The Meal) So I Asked Nicely As You Can See.. However, They Just Threw Whatever They Wanted In The Bag And Called It Complete. I Would Not Recommend Ordering Online.

Food - 4 stars Service - 3 stars Price point - 2.5 - 3 stars We have been going to Kabobeesh for about 15 years. It's been an on and off, but we always liked their food. The space there is always very basic, no frills, but you order, get your food, and eat. When we recently went the lady behind the counter was "nice enough, but seemed like she had chip on her shoulder. She was also arguing with a man who seemed like a manager. She was also on the phone complaining about this man. As a customer I heard and saw all this. Food was good, but the prices keep on going up (like many places), but they still serve the food with cheap styrofoam plates and flimsy plastics utensils. When you charge the price they do I really want something more substantial than styrofoam and flimsy plastics‍

While visiting Philadelphia, we tried this place and ordered the family special for four. It included ground beef, chicken, lamb chop, beef kabob, and lamb kabob, along with a side of salad and four naan. The meats were cooked beautifully, and the seasoning was spot on. The place could use a little TLC, but I was informed that the current location is closing and they are moving, which explains some of my concerns.

My husband loves this place for some reason but I have never been a fan. Got the Haleem with a side of chickpeas, cauliflower and chicken biryani. The Haleem was flavorful but everything else was mediocre. Service is quick and they are quite generous with portions. But I don't think I'll be going back unless we are trying the Chicken Karahi, which looks wonderful in photos.

To 'beesh or not to 'beesh--that is the question. For three years, I have had the great pleasure of enjoying an authentic taste of the Indian Subcontinent at Kabobeesh. Nestled just outside of the UPenn campus, Kabobeesh offers a secluded oasis for students to escape from the stresses of undergraduate life and enjoy a wonderful meal with friends, family, or whoever is so lucky as to experience Kabobeesh. Ricardo is an expert at his craft and perfectly seasons all meats to deliver an unparalleled culinary experience. You will not regret making the journey to Kabobeesh. The answer to the aforementioned question is therefore without a doubt--YES!

Food is meh, nothing extra. Worst service. I saw the reviews before going but I ignored it because I wanted to try it myself. And service industry can be a hit and miss. Sometimes its a good day and bad day. But after my visit now I know why other people were so upset. They do not care about their customers at all. Its a family owned restaurant where only the owner and their family members are having a good time laughing and chatting while customers are waiting for basic service like being greeted and asked where to seat and give plate to eat food on. They served our food on a broken tray. They do not look prepared to serve any customer. Curry all spilled. My husband's food had a white plastic /hair looking thing in his food but we did not bother to tell them because they do not act like they would care. ambiance is not bad. The young manager ( without glasses) who stays on the counter was okay. He atleast tried to be nice to customers. Everyone else is a big joke. How do they plan to run a business when they treat their customers like this. If you plan to have a good time eating food do not go here. You will be nothing but dissapointed like me. I regret taking my family there. Never going back. Wish there was option to give no star at all.

So let me start by saying I really should've gave this place 1 star but I've been eating here for year every since they had a location on south street. My my my!!!! How they have fell from grace!! I stopped eating there for a few years but said hey let me give them another try maybe they got their ish in order and possibly start making quality food again. Nope!! I will never eat at this place ever again. Apparently all they care about is making money and not serving good food. The Kabob meal is subpar at best and this time I ordered a chicken nugget meal for my kid and what a F'k'n mistake that was! I didn't even let her eat it I threw it out and ordered a different meal for her from somewhere else. Never again I won't even buy a bottle water from yall ever!

Take out Naan. My son likes it so much.

The food is delicious and always fresh. The meat is halal, fresh, juicy and tender with just the right amount of seasonings.

I got the zero spice level (they offer 0-5) and it was delicious. There was enough food for me to have leftovers. The noodles were nice and soft! Mango Sticky Rice - This was pretty and tasty. My only challenge with this dish was trying to cut the strips of mango with a spoon while trying not to spill anything out of the bowl. I would definitely go here again!

The duck was small and a bit dry and not very flavorful. The curry was runny and thin so it slid off of the veggies and duck. The pad Thai was honestly quite small and tasted like any pad thai you could order at any random restaurant and it was also just vaguely dry. My biggest grievances with this place was the ambiance. I feel like they wanted to fit as many tables as they physically could in that building and boy did they. The tables are so close together and so tiny. We had and I'm not exaggerating under 3 inches between us and the table next to us and we were on the wall with booths on one half. The poor women go got seated next to us had to move her table on top of the table on her other side and squeeze between ours and hers just to get into the booth. And even then it was tight so her butt ended up on our table and I felt bad because she looked so embarrassed and apologized but there was nothing she could do. The silverware is ridiculously long for the small table they give you. We did not have room to comfortably fit 2 entrees on the table with our drinks and our forks and our silverware and our small plates. We also had a reservation, and our table wasn't ready and there was no waiting area. They didn't have an estimate of when it would be ready so they sent us out. We walked around for 15-20 minutes before they were able to seat us. They also had music playing not quietly and because of the proximity of all of the tables everyone was kind of talking loud to be able to hear each other. It felt more like a bar than a sit down restaurant. There are so many Thai places just within a block of grandmas I could not understand why someone would choose to wait there rather than go to Chatayee or Dara. I think this place is catered to look cool on Instagram and if that's your goal then you'll be quite happy.

**GOAT ITEM** FATTEH **Michelin Star Restaurant**…read more I love venturing out of our comfort zone and trying restaurant sub-types that I don't have where I live, such as Lebanese. Suraya is located in Fishtown a bit outside the city, but the Uber here was totally worth it. This restaurant is PHENEMONAL! We decided to go with the "A taste of Suraya" for $78 a person. Of course, we started with the Hummous, Baba Ganoush, Muhammara, Labneh, & Taboule which are basically 5 separate hummus that are served as an appetizer. 3 of the hummus I really liked: Hummous - chickpeas seasoned with tehina, lemon & garlic Baba Ganoush - charred eggplant seasoned with tehina, lemon, garlic & urfa biber Muhammara - roasted red pepper and walnut dip * seasoned with chili, cumin & pomegranate 1 Hummus was ok: Labneh - strained yogurt finished with za'atar, tomatoes, cucumber, olives & mint 1 Hummus I wouldn't eat again: Taboule - parsley salad with cucumber, tomato, scallion & mint * seasoned with lemon The absolute star of the night was the Fatteh. The Fatteh is: warm chickpeas, eggplant, crispy pita & tehina yogurt * almonds, cashews & brown butter. An absolute GOAT (Greatest of All Time) food item you can get anywhere. I could eat this thing all day every day. I've never had anything like it anywhere else. As my hot food item, I chose Makanek which were little lamb sausages. I thought they were fine, not out of this world good, but solid. To drink, I had a $16 Throne of Beauty which is: mezcal, ancho reyes, contratto bitter, pineapple, sesame orgeat & grapefruit Unfortunately I couldn't taste any mezcal in the drink so it was basically a fruity drink and not very good. I also had a $17 Obscured Hallows (Old Fashioned): elijah craig bourbon, rittenhouse rye, sherry, brown butter, semolina & date It was much better and exactly on point. For the entree, I had Kawarma: slow roasted lamb * baharat, dill yogurt, cucumber & pomegranate salad The server recommended this as his favorite item on the menu and it did not disappoint. I thought it was absolutely perfect. I made a reservation online. This restaurant is absolutely worth the uber trip outside the city. The food is top notch as was the service. Looks like a cute little area with a lot more bars and restaurants all up and down the street. Highly recommend! Get out of your comfort zone and try some Lebanese food, if you haven't had any!

We got the Fetteh and there was maybe 2 cubes of eggplant on it. The Arnabeet was on a small round dish not even filled. The Mujadara was the biggest disappointment of all, at $26 as an entree it was absolutly the size of an appetizer and again with hardly any artichoke. They've fallen into the the trap of many restaurants in the post covid era. Either taste good and a rip off, or right sized in price and just average in execution. They are the former. I've lost hope.

This is a multicourse journey through Marrakesh that cannot be repeated anywhere else except for maybe in the real Marrakesh. From the Bastilla pastry, which is DIVINE, to the salads, the chicken and kebabs... all the way to the baklava and tea.... there is no bad bite at Marrakesh. The owners are welcoming and super amenable and make you feel like you're coming home every single time you visit.
