The food is really clean and fresh here! The only caveat is they close kind of early. I guess it makes sense since they're pretty much mostly a quick meal that has somewhat healthier ingredients. I got a shrimp tempura and the chicken. I would probably pass on the temporary next time and get a different protein. For some reason I was craving the crunch. Services quick and easy the place is spacious and located in a unassuming lot. I imagine they probably get a lot of crowds during the lunch. I would come back here and try two different proteins next time

We love this place - amazing fresh sushi. Service is very fast and efficient. We always order the nigiri and a couple rolls but the bowls and boxes look really good too.

Aloha All I stumbled on this place by accident. I normally go to the Subway next door and park on the other side, however that side was full and when I turned the corner to more parking spaces, I had no idea they added more restaurants, so today it's all about Kabuto Sushi and Grill I ordered the side of Miso Soup and the Shrimp Tempura Box. Let me tell you something, I didn't go in with any expectations, but the meal is priced fairly, and the service was great, after you place your order, they give you your receipt with your order #, they use that receipt to deliver your food to your table if you are dining in, which I was, I love that The Miso Soup was excellent, the Salad was excellent, the Rice was excellent, and the Shrimp Tempura was excellent, the food was flavorful and fresh, I was extremely happy about the meal, the only thing I didn't like was the steamed vegetables, there was no taste, like no seasoning or butter no salt or pepper to add to it, but everything else, just amazing If your in the area, please support them, you'll enjoy your meal and the service, I'm going back tomorrow to try something else on the menu. Enjoy the rest of your week and weekend Mahalo! A Hui Ho Malama Pono

Kabuto is such a hidden gem in Seal Beach, and I secretly want to gatekeep this spot! Located near a small center, Kabuto serves teriyaki bowls, rolls, and other sides at a decent price! Every time I get their dragon bowl with beef, chicken, and rice! It's a simple bowl with fresh and clean ingredients. They also advertise themselves as a gluten-free business! Their crunchy roll and nigiri are great, too! The fish tasted fresh, and overall, I have no complaints. Inside the restaurant, they have Japanese art and decorations, which I really enjoy, and there is plenty of seating. It's an ideal lunch spot; just be sure to check their hours, as they are not open on the weekends!

First time here, we ordered family rolls 5 sushi rolls to go. Fresh sushi way better than Sam's and Costco sushi. Friendly staffs. Definitely a return customers.

Fresh, fast, and friendly. Nice selection of combinations reasonably priced. Clean eating area with tables and booth bench. Good togo.

I ordered a Dragon Bowl, chicken and steak strips. It was not as pictured. Instead of steak, I was served chopped roast beef.

5 Star food! I try not to give 5 stars but this place deserves it. Located near the corner of Seal Beach Blvd and Westminister Blvd, this restaurant is located next to Subway. They serve teriyaki bowls as well as sushi. I've been to other teriyaki places and always skeptical on the sushi at these places. I tried their sashimi bowl and their spicy tuna bowl. They are delicious! The fish are fresh, the rice is very good and isn't the bad quality rice at most places, and I got their beef bowl couple times as well and it's very good. You cannot go wrong with any of the food here. I came here around 3:30pm on a weekday when it was empty. I overheard the cashier lady talk Japanese to the chef. I told her that I speak japanese as well and we chatted for a bit. She mentioned that the chef is her husband and I thought it was really nice to see a couple running a restaurant. They are super friendly. On the side note, when you dine-in, the lady delivers your food to your table which is really nice service. They remember your face and brings it to you. What I personally like to see is maybe if they had sriracha for the teriyaki bowls, that would be great! Recommend the food here, came here 3 times this week!

Better than most expensive restaurants. The grilled salmon box is delicious! Even the salad dressing is excellent!

We were seated quickly and ordered a bottle of wine. I wish it were possible to taste the wine before buying, there were a couple I had not had before and they looked amazing, but I'm not gambling 100 bucks on a wine I haven't tried. The wine we ordered was fine, not incredible but not horrible. We also ordered the bread, meatballs, and ribeye. The bread was the dish that stood out the most. It was great. The other dishes were fine. Not worth the money to me. The entire experience lacked soul. From service to food, just kind of fine. Our dishes came out on top of each other, we should have asked them to course them. So this experience was definitely not worth it, which is a shame. I was left feeling like this is a place that does not have exceptional food but does have very high prices and maybe that's to vet clientele ;)

I asked if the roasted Brussels sprouts could be prepared without the balsamic glaze and she said yes. The restaurant had a fair amount of business for weekend lunch but we found an open table. They also have a patio but no one was dining outside. Our meals were brought to our table, along with cups of water. They also have a nice little station set up for self serve water, as well as condiments, extra tableware etc. we both chose the chimichurri steak, prepared medium rare as the cashier had suggested. I have loved other dishes from Urban Plates but not this one. Just to clarify: A glaze is applied during the final stage of cooking, not poured raw at the table like a sauce. Unlike a standard sauce served on the side, a glaze relies on heat to undergo caramelization and reduction. As the meat finishes cooking under heat--in the oven, air fryer, or on the grill--the sugars in the glaze melt and reduce into a thick, glossy, and sticky coating that adheres directly to the meat's surface.
