Randomly walking around Seal Beach, I came across this place. I looked it up on Yelp and noticed how good the reviews were, so I decided to give it a go. When I opened the door, there were two people there ready to help and a third one came out with enthusiasm and hospitality. It took me a few minutes to decide what I want, but I settled on the Rainbow Bowl. I added Ponzu sauce and asked for Chili Oil and Spicy Mayo on the side. Upon my first bite, I could tell this place used fresh ingredients. Every bite took me back to Hawaii. The staff consistently checked to make sure we were enjoying the food. I also liked that they had a self-serve water station. It's not a large place but they had enough seating for a few small groups. It has its own parking lot which is useful because it is close to the beach where parking options are slim and almost always taken. If I'm in the area again, this is one place I'll consider for some fresh poke.

They were generous with the protein portions, and it was under $20 with tip for the bowl - and it was enough for both of us to eat well! The ambiance is nice and clean, no fishy smell or anything off putting. The seating is limited, it may get packed at lunch time, no idea, but you're also at the end of Main St., just go walk to the beach and enjoy. ;) I'd most certainly eat here again, and if you like Poke I'd certainly give this place a safe thumbs up! :)

This poke spot is pretty good! After a nice day at the beach, we were craving a delicious bowl of poke. The pricing is pretty good for the amount of poke you get. I like that we have the option to choose as many toppings as we like. The workers were also very nice and welcoming as soon as we walked in. It was kind of cold in the store, and they offered to turn the AC lower which was very nice of them. They also gave us stamp cards, so maybe we will be back if we're in the area again!

We loved the different ingredient options like jicama, mango, cilantro, and jalapeños. It gave a refreshing pop to the standard topping flavor profile of edamame, wasabi, ginger and corn. Also, what a value! A full 3-scoop protein bowl was only $13.95. Hard to find that in other Poke businesses right now. We loved our food and would definitely come back!

I loved coming here for the first time after a nice, relaxing beach day :) My friend and I stopped by on a Saturday and it was empty. They served us right away. The fish was so fresh and delicious. We got the 3 scoops for $13.95 but they also have a mini bowl option for $9. The only thing that is extra is avocado ($1) and extra sauce on the side. Plenty of seating and free water! We ate the bowl in silence and under 5 minutes lol. Will be coming back when we're in the area. read more

This place makes me laugh! Upon entering, you'll automatically get this Asian feel with all the pandas and bamboo decor. Then your eyes start to wander towards the walls because of the interesting artwork made by their guests and scotched taped to the walls. If you look up, you will be transported to ROME! I love it. It's totally a part of their charm. They were really generous with the amount of Poke and toppings. I got free miso soup and my avocado cuts were just the right consistency. The workers were helpful when I didn't know what toppings to put in my bowl. They reminded me that I wanted crispy onions!! I'm coming back! read more

I built my own bowl with brown rice, spicy tuna, salmon, albacore, seaweed salad, cucumber, mango, crispy onions with eel sauce and ponzu sauces. -- and everything tasted super clean and flavorful. The fish was definitely fresh (no weird smell or aftertaste), and I appreciated that they had a good variety of toppings and sauces. The staff was friendly and patient as I picked our bowl toppings. The only downside was that the seating was limited and the space a little tight during the lunch rush, but for takeout or a quick bite, it's perfect. Pricing was fair for the quality -- around $13-$16 per bowl depending on your protein. Parking is a problem so there goes my one star. read more

This place is super fresh and delicious. Upon entering, I wanted to run away because I recently started eating fish after being vegan for 27 years and I wasn't sure about a little hole in the wall. Man, can looks be deceiving. I had all 3 scoops the fresh tuna then built my own bowl. They have a plethora of fresh produce and pickled toppings. I will definitely be back. This is hands down my favorite poke restaurant, and I'm so lucky it's right down the street from me in Surfside. I've probably been here 20 to 30 times at this point, and I keep coming back because it is just that good. The fish is incredibly fresh, the flavors are amazing, and everything on the menu is consistently delicious. At the end of the day, the quality of the food is what matters most -- and they absolutely deliver every single time. But the real heart of this place is the staff. They are so kind, so warm, and genuinely some of the sweetest people ever. They always give generous scoops, they always remember me, and every time I walk in they greet me like a friend. Half the time they're laughing like, "We'll see you tomorrow!" and honestly... they're not wrong. I wish nothing but success for this place. They deserve it. Amazing food, amazing people, and a spot I'll keep returning to again and again. read more

Great portion with decent price in downtown Seal Beach, $13 for 3 scoops of protein. We didn't have to wait long for the bowl to be ready. I love the variety of toppings, really yummy. OUR FAVORITE LOCAL POKE SHOP! This place is the best pick your bowl style poke that we have had! The fish is super fresh and cut small which makes it taste better. The topping options are great! They have a Club card so you can get a free bowl after 9 bowls. The only negative I would say, is they consider Krab salad as a protein whereas most other places consider it a topping. But we took advantage of the Club card because we love it so much! Everyone here is super nice and friendly. read more

Nice fresh ingredients. Super prompt line. I like the selection of their toppings. However, their fish is very small. It's almost as if you are just eating a super fresh salad rather than a poki bowl. Also, I think their reviews might be slightly inflated since they give you a free soup when you leave a review. The fish was bad and metallic like it wasn't handled properly or was starting to spoil. This was our second time coming here and the first time was great. We just couldn't eat our fish this time and were disappointed. I was kinda worried about food poisoning i guess i'll see with time. read more

First time visitor from Belmont shores at Papa Poke today!! Let me tell you such a great vibe from everyone who works there, very nice and easy going! Now let's talk prices: I got a hefty bowl with FOUR scoops of protein and unlimited toppings for $20 that's including tip! Compared to poke pola that's such a breath of fresh air especially for the quality of this bowl!! So yummy!! They made sure I got my papa poke club card before leaving!! read more

I love grabbing a quick lunch here every now and then. The workers are friendly and quick to create your order, and they always cheekily tell you, "See you tomorrow!" My favorite thing about ordering here is that there is an option to order a "mini bowl" - you get one scoop of fish and all the toppings you want in a smaller bowl for only $9. I believe this is only available in-person. QUICK TIP: Make sure to pick up a stamp card - after a certain number of orders, you get a free mini bowl. read more

I asked for lite rice and my bowl was full of rice. And as mentioned, not enough toppings to my liking. But overall, a good poke place. Definitely a place to check out if you want a variety of selections when customizing your poke.

(Now I've eaten poke in 8 different countries in over 40 cities. I LOVE POKE! Poke.Co is in my top 5. I issue is...EVERY TIME I come here, my chest hurts just a little. I go & I feel like a 10 year old asking for a favor...I'm 62. I should not feel anxiety going to have lunch. Let me explain. Their process is to make these pretty little bowls with a scoop of this here, a scoop of that, there...the toppings all nicely placed. That's great but I like my fish & toppings mixed together and then served on top of the rice and it's a pain to mix it all together in the bowl. They have steel bowls in the back. When I come in, I tell them, "you're going to mix the toppings tougher, please get one of the bowls from the kitchen to mix the toppings together. Today...Employee (Elise maybe -Tues Mar 17at 1:30pm -short w/glasses), "We put in in the bowl", Me,"I like all my fish and toppings mixed together so if you use the bowl you can just she says, " well I'm just gonna put it all in first to get the portions correct". I tell her, "OK if that works for you". because she was giving attitude. I get it...I've asked you to change your process, but whether you mix the toppings and fish or not..."Not your ranch, not your cattle." You're not making anything more an hour whether I leave happy or dissatisfied. (I'm there generally 6 times a month) Anyway, the other thing? They portion using scoopers. So the argument made no sense...AND the fish go in a clear plastic cup, NOT THE BOWL while they make it. I realized at that point, her ego was involved... why? So she does it her way......we get to the end where she mixes the fish together, she starts to mix and I tell her, "oh don't mix yet, you're going to add the toppings." She continues mixing for a few more seconds like I hadn't said anything and tell her, what toppings I wanted. She puts those on top of the takeout bowl... I tell her, "I don't understand this process "... She then says, "I'll go get the bowl now." And does. She brings it back and then dumps everything including rice into the mixing bowl. At this point I'm pretty done. I say, "stop. I didn't ask it to all be mixed together. You didn't listen to me. I told you specifically I wanted my fish and toppings mixed on top of the rice. She says, "I can scoop out the rice." And she does. She then mixes the fish and toppings together and pours it over the rice, (as she shakes her head). I started to walk out but honestly, I've spent the last 3 months overseas and I have been craving Poke Co. It is the best but I'm no longer feeling good when I go because I never know if the employee is going to be pleasant or perturbed that I've asked them to do something outside of their process. I think it's time for another Long Beach poke spot...one where I feel welcome to eat my food the way I want it. After I had already paid, I asked them politely for an iced water. They said they would have to charge. I was like "what? Even though I paid for a drink?" And the girl said "yes we charge for the cost of the cup." So pathetic. So I walked over to bogarts fully expecting to have to pay for something else I didn't need just to get an iced water for my toddler. The girl at bogarts, without hesitation, gave me an iced water. I said "are you sure? I can buy a muffin or something" she said "seriously it's no problem." And because of that, I went back a few hours later to get an iced chai, and now bogarts is the only coffee shop we'll give our money to every week in seal beach. Funny how not being cheap and a penny pincher with your paying customers will benefit you in the long run. Javatinis could learn a thing or two from them... I tell all of my seal beach family and friends to only go to bogarts from now on.
