The young kid that greeted us was a bit hyper but very nice overall and super respectful so we were off to a good start. I ordered the teriyaki beef burrito (add spicy option for an extra $3) and my dad got two different tacos (one chicken and the other beef). The food didn't take too long and we took it home. I ate the burrito on the way home since I was starving. I found it to be excellent honestly. The beef had little charred pieces that really made the flavor WOW me. The sauces they provide (especially the lighter colored one) go so well with the burrito. My parents found the tacos to be ok and didn't think it was worth it. They did try my burrito and liked it a lot. They said the beef in one of their tacos was too chewy. I think my dad wished he had gotten a bowl instead. It's more of a takeout-style place with minimal seating, which honestly makes it perfect for grabbing a meal and heading to the beach or enjoying it on the go. One small suggestion that I genuinely think could take things to the next level: offering more clearly labeled gluten-free options (or even expanding them). Today we tried Seal Beach Teriyaki and it was Delicious ‼ My husband ordered the Chicken Asian Shredded Salad & I ordered the Tofu Plate. Both plates gave generous portions. LOL, a little bit of scotch tape had to used to close the Tofu to go box. The Tofu had really good flavor & the perfect amount of crunch. Both my son & husband stole a few Tofu pieces. They both agreed with me about the good flavor. And my husband thoroughly enjoyed his salad. Even though it was a little busy we got are food fairly fast. This teriyaki place is located in an older strip mall along PCH. There are multiple businesses here and the parking lot can often be busy but I've always been able to find at least one spot open. It's mostly a take-out restaurant but there are three counters along the walls and windows with four stools at each counter. They have teriyaki beef, chicken, or tofu bowls and plates, the plates being a larger portion. There are also teriyaki tacos (!) on the menu. I was there for a weekday lunch and orderd a beef teriyaki bowl. I also got a bottle of Pepsi; they have bottles and cans of various drinks in a fridge to choose from. I sat at a counter to eat. No one else was eating inside but there were a lot of to-go customers. The beef had great flavor and was pretty good quality, not perfectly tender but definitely not tough or chewy. Lots of veggies and Jasmine rice made it a great teriyaki bowl. I appreciated the extra container of teriyaki sauce provided as I tend to like a lot of sauce. The folks at the counter were very friendly and helpful. It was clear that providing good customer service was important to them. This place is a welcome addition to the food offerings in the Seal Beach area. read more

The food here is delicious! Stopped in near closing time and they were busy. Ordered the chicken plate spicy. This is a teriyaki chicken plate with rice and salad. Spicy add on is jalapeno, onions and pepper. They give you a whole grilled jalapeno. The salad was fresh but I think they forgot the dressing as it was plain lettuce. The chicken was moist and flavorful. The sauce is on the side which I appreciated. The rice is sooo good, I loved it. OK come on Seal Beach... let's support our local spots--this is one of them! Rolled in just before 8pm the other night, starving and trying to avoid McDonald's, and remembered Seal Beach Teriyaki had just opened. Walked in, looked like they were closing out the register, but I called out if they were still open and they said, "yes, just for you!" Loved that energy. Owner was behind the counter--super nice, gave great recs. I got the Beach Bowl (chicken + beef) and upgraded to fried rice--do it. Huge portion... if I hadn't worked out twice that day, I would've saved half (instead I crushed 3/4 ). So good. I don't usually do spicy, but this had a subtle heat and I was into it. Beef is thin-shaved, chicken is thicker--great combo. They even tossed in extra teriyaki sauce, no charge (nice little surprise). Flavorful, filling, and reasonably priced. Got this for takeout, and wanted to try because they are fairly new. Great service when calling in to make an order as well as picking up. The menu with simple and straight to the point which I really liked it's mostly a place to order to go they have minimal seating however, the Customer Service was great. They were busy as they were just opening the store and I was the first customer of the day however, as soon as they walked in, I was greeted and said that they would be with me right away. Finally a good teriyaki place around here! The hubby and I shared the big beach box. Perfect amount of food for two for a lighter lunch. Next time though, I plan on skipping the meat. It's paper thin, tough, and doesn't have much flavor. The chicken on the other hand is nice and juicy. We upgraded to fried rice and will definitely do that again! Their portion is perfect. My coworkers and I got the chicken bowl and the chicken was moist/juicy with a taste of chard on it from them grilling it, the rice was soft it was cooked to perfection. Staffs were extremely nice and quick with their orders. The Yum-Yum sauce was mayo and hot sauce and that was one of my favorite sauce to pour over my bowl. I have gone here over 10 times now, it's always great. Always consistent. Flavor, amount of meat, veggies all great. I eat a chicken bowl just about every day from different places and this is by far my favorite. The icing on top is the kid that runs the cash register. He's amazing, friendly, always in a good mood.
