    Drunken noodles

Went back after a while, this time for lunch with friends. The decor is beautiful and the interior is cozy. Service is friendly and efficient. The food is the star and was excellent as always. I had the lunch special Drunken noodles with chicken and it came with salad, soup and wonton. For$15 it's a great deal. Would highly recommend.

Appetizer Sampler, Pad See Ew, Tiger's Tear Steak, Yellow Curry

I visited recently with a friend and had a genuinely wonderful experience. The restaurant has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and the staff was very attentive and I never felt rushed. We started with the appetizer sampler platter and the lettuce wraps, both of which were fresh and full of flavor. It set the tone for the rest of the meal in the best way. For our main dishes, we ordered the yellow chicken curry, pad see ew, and the Tiger's Tear steak. Everything was cooked beautifully. The curry was rich, the pad see ew had great balance and texture, and the steak was incredibly tender with a nice depth of flavor. I also ordered a Thai tea, which was just the right amount of sweet and rounded out the meal perfectly. I left already thinking about what I'd come back to try next. This place is absolutely worth a visit!

Seal Beach definitely has less Asian cuisine compared to neighboring cities. I'm so glad that this Thai restaurant is serving some great Thai, Asian, and fusion dishes. My favorite was the Pad See Ew and Tiger's Tears, both were very flavorful and came out steaming hot. The portions are big and we had leftovers. The workers are very nice and provided great service. The restaurant is beautiful, great spot to dine in or grab takeout. Be sure to order a Thai Tea to perfect your meal! ig: @cravingswithcat

Glass Noodle with Scallop and Shrimp

Conveniently located near Main Street in Seal Beach but far enough away to 1) avoid traffic and 2) have free parking! Just off of PCH and 5th. The ambiance in this place is fairly nice and is a good place to meet friends and family. Arriving at 6pm we were seated immediately with just two other tables filled. By 6:30 the place was nearly at capacity! The menu has a lot of variety and I was delighted to see Pumpkin Curry and Pineapple Curry which one doesn't see often enough; however, I opted not to try these. Next time. I ordered the Stirfry Eggplant with Soft Tofu (also a big plus that this protein is listed separately from just regular Tofu which is often fried). The dish had a nice tangy sauce and comes with your choice of rice(s). It was not greasy. Could have been spicier but I did not request the spice tray so no complaints about that. My friend ordered an entree of Glass Noodles with Scallops and Shrimp. This was disappointing as it was too dry and the seafood pieces small. Perhaps this is standard. I'd opt out on this dish. The service is good and the staff friendly.

The best little gem around, it was cozy and amazing! The service was swift and friendly. Every dish that we had was a 10/10. Will be dreaming about this place for a long time.

I picked up a pineapple fried rice for dinner. It has 2 shrimps with a few pieces of chicken. The rice was a little soggy but overall it was ok.

We had an eventful day in Seal Beach and decided to stop by here for lunch. Parking: Free parking lot. They're located in a small plaza, so parking can be a bit tricky. We got lucky with parking in front of the restaurant. Ambiance/Environment: Really nice and clean inside! Great for large groups. They have a small bar in the back left corner. We came in around @12:30, and noticed it started getting busy in the late afternoon. You can do a walk up or make reservations online. Service: Shout out to our server Jeremy! Not only was he waiting tables by himself, but he also took great care of us! Very courteous and efficient. Throughput was approximately 15 min for our orders. What we ordered: 1) Royal Thai Appetizer (lunch special), Sake Paloma, Sake Moscow Mule - This royal appetizer came in a 3 tier stand filled with all Thai classics such as egg rolls, chicken skewers, cheese puffs, coconut shrimps, fried dumplings, Thai money bags, and shrimp wrappers. All the sauces came on top. My favorite was the peanut sauce. Everything was cooked well and absolutely delicious! We decided to go with the 2 cocktails. The Moscow mule was strong, and the Paloma was sweet & fruity. 2) Seal Beach Noodles - stir fry yakisoba noodles with shrimp, chicken, onions, dry chili, cashew nuts, & water chestnuts in their special house sauce. The noodles had a lot of flavor and wasn't too salty. The chicken and shrimp were also cooked well, though I wish it had more of it. 3) Mongolian Beef with Jasmine brown rice (lunch special) - Mongolian beef was mouth watering! The jasmine brown rice wasn't too sticky. The dressing on the salad really pulled the flavors together. This also came with a small soup and crispy wonton; both had a plain taste but made the entire dish fulfilling. 4) Mango Lemonade & Thai Tea Lemonade - These were so refreshing! We loved both our drinks! Pricing: It is a bit on the pricier end. Can't blame them for operating in this inflation. I'd say it's worth it because their food tastes authentic, great service, and welcoming ambiance.

OC's Best Thai Ribeye Steak goes to Rocharin! Yes, I know... confused? Rocharin Thai Bistro is a hidden gem in Seal Beach that doesn't step down from Thai flavor despite being a very small retired community and this was completely unexpected. My critical Thai mother was impressed and mentioned the flavors tasted similar to her own home cooking. On top of that, you will receive the nicest service from @pa2patou ! Why do I think Rocharin has the best Thai Ribeye Steak aka Crying Tiger? The large Ribeye Steak is nicely marinated and grilled to perfection. It served with this tangy lime sauce that has dried chili flakes, shallots, scallions, fish sauce and more. Oh this sauce is an addiction! As you dip your pieces of steak into the Thai sauce, with every bite you will just want more and more. Visual review: https://www.instagram.com/reel/C-X3UvhpFOB/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

This place deserves more hype because their customer service and plating is exceptional! The owner prides themselves on the quality of their meat and shrimp and it definitely didn't disappoint as I got their Thai Boat Noodle and appetizer assortment tier. Overall, the food was quite flavorful and my favorite was the classic Mango Sticky Rice. The place had such a cozy and almost intimate ambiance, perfect for a date night spot or just a cozy get together.

The food from the photos looked amazing so we thought this would be a good place to try. We entered and it is quite small. Expect to have a bit of a wait during rush hour. Lucky for us it was just us two, and it was towards the end of lunch. The inside looked super cute and the aesthetic reminded me of the Philippines. They had these cool lanterns, and metal soda signs in Thai. Plus umbrellas below the ceiling. The menu looked really cool, like it was from a newspaper that is colored. The plates had roosters on it. I loved the ambiance for sure. We saw a couple order a few things I asked what they had ordered. One was grilled pork neck and they suggested the Tom Yum Mama Seafood soup and for dessert mango and sticky rice. I also got green thai tea for drink. We got it all mild because my spice tolerant isn't as good as it use to me, and my mom usually tolerates mild as well in regards to spice. The presentation of the food is great. The Soup was so delicious! I'll definitely order again. It had noodles, like thin ramen. The seafood was delicious with the crunchy pork. It blended so well. I love that the soup was sour and spicy. The pork neck was a bit too spicy, and so I believe they might have not prepared it mild. It was a bit difficult to eat because of it, but still really good. The mango and sticky rice is delicious as well. Perfectly made. I will definitely come back here.

Only minor critique was the seafood salad. The dressing leaned a little sweeter than we expected and could've used a bit more sourness/tanginess to balance it out. They have a good selection of options so there's likely going to be something for everyone. Highly recommend the Thai boat noodles - the broth is very rich and flavorful, definitely in my top 5. I will say that service can be very inconsistent. From my more recent experiences (multiple visits across the last year or two), I noticed a pattern where the servers are quick to seat you and take your order, but then you don't hear from them again until you flag them down (if you need anything or want to get the check, for example). Rey peanut forward. -Pad Thai with shrimp: The noodles were cooked perfect. The noodles on the bottom however did stick together (after it sits there for a while). I would honestly go back just for that alone. It's not close to me, so now I'm trying to figure out how to get my hands on another one without making the drive every week because it was THAT good. Keira told me I wasn't going to sleep after drinking it and she was right. I got so much accomplished that day though, so honestly it was worth it. Good music, clean environment, fast service, flavorful food, and an amazing coffee. Definitely would come back.

What a beautiful surprise, as we stepped inside of this gorgeous restaurant! The entrance and winding path easily had me at hello! Miso Greens Salad | I'm a salad girl and this is definitely a memorable bite! Between the juicy slices of mango, crispy wontons strips, red pepper, tangy miso dressing and more... I was craving each bite one after the other with the quickness! Haha! Every single bite and I'm not kidding, was absolutely delicious, bursting with flavor, & mouth watering! I would 100% get the salad again and highly recommend it! Decor | Beautiful! What a stunning restaurant! I found myself looking around constantly! The lighting, presence of Buddhas sprinkled throughout, cozy seating with colorful pillows, wood interior, the colorful lighting... and don't even get me started on the gorgeous waterfront views! Tantalum easily transports your senses to Indonesia via food and atmosphere! I'm all for it and loved every moment of it! Customer Service | Irma was incredibly friendly and helpful with the menu! Thanks again for helping me decide between the heirloom tomato salad and the miso green salad; tried something new! Overall | Yes, please! If a single salad was so memorable, I can only imagine a full meal! I'm looking forward to exploring more of the menu on my next visit! Let's go!

As a long time patron, I had to give them another chance after the bloodbath of mothers day…read more It was a Monday, so probably not a fair comparison, but service was excellent and so was most of the food. We overtipped, to probably compensate for our last visit. However, the new kitchen manager has clearly changed the calamari (10/10 before, 3/10 now, to the point I felt embarrassed that I'd waxed poetic about it to my out of town guests, who didn't have more than a few pieces, and the ones I ate were just to kind of toe a line), and this is pedantic, but sesame buns for the sliders was a weird choice. So they're no longer on my shitlist, but I do think I'm going to need to try different go-tos. I'm almost scared to try the tuna tartare (my other go to) after the change in the calamari and sliders. I really so desperately urge management to bring back the former chef, because the current one really seems to expending the least effort possible. And for the record, there was a "specials" slip left on our table, with one of the items noted as "sold out." On a Monday, by 5p. Something is going wrong here. I'm going to try yet again, but the changes that have thus far been made absolutely suck. Ambiance still a 10/10.
