My mom and I went to Kadence for a nice dinner when she was in town. We had done Soseki before and I was hoping for a similar experience. I don't know whether it was specific to the group we had there that night, but this was so much more fun. The food at Kadence was as excellent as soseki with a few more unexpected twists, but the atmosphere was much more friendly and social. While soseki felt very formal when I went, all of the groups here were chatting with each other and the chef the entire time. The couple running this place were so much fun to chat with and they told us so much about the operation. Their son also made an appearance and he was so sweet! We also loved this place's cocktails, they've got some creative stuff that I've never seen before. The sake was also a great selection. We got the flight and it was delicious. Food wise, this place is just incredible from a perspective of freshness, presentation, flavor, really everything. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking to try a friendly omakase.

Absolutely loved my experience here for a belated birthday present. The space is small, but packed with fresh and amazing flavors. I shared the sushi omekase for two and can't honestly tell you exactly one thing, but EVERYTHING was delicious! Loved all the 11 different fish (technically the last one is a sea urchin or uni). We also had to try the shrimp tempura, slow braised pork, and the grilled sirloin. Highly recommend the pork and sirloin and a game changer from the sushi. I most definitely am coming back, but I hope the air conditioning is fixed cuz it was a scorcher in the bar seating since the remodel.

Kadence Omakase Experience If you're looking for a true omakase experience in Orlando, Kadence is easily one of the most refined and intimate dining journeys you can have. From the moment you sit at the counter, it feels less like dinner and more like watching edible art come to life -- every course curated, intentional, and beautifully executed. First -- yes, it's expensive. Very expensive. But honestly, you're not just paying for sushi... you're paying for technique, sourcing, and a Michelin-level experience that's rare to find locally. The multi-course tasting menu is chef-driven, meaning each bite evolves based on seasonal ingredients and creativity.   Standout Menu Highlights:     *    Delicate nigiri selections showcasing seasonal fish     *    Monkfish liver (ankimo) and luxurious seafood courses     *    Bluefin tuna variations and beautifully brushed soy nigiri     *    Sea urchin, roe, and other premium bites throughout the progression     *    Creative kappo-style dishes like miso-braised brisket or ramen-inspired courses depending on the night     *    Light, elegant desserts like kakigori or ice cream to finish   Every piece is hand-formed right in front of you, brushed with house soy sauce and served immediately -- no extra sauce needed. The pacing is calm and intentional, allowing you to truly appreciate each flavor and texture. Sake & Beverage Program: Their sake selection deserves its own spotlight. Kadence offers curated sake flights and pairings -- from a 3-glass tasting to more immersive "voyage" pairings designed to complement the omakase progression. The team are certified sake professionals, and their recommendations elevate the entire experience.   Some options include:     *    Sake Flight (multiple pours)     *    Sake Voyage pairing     *    Fantastic Voyage premium sake tasting     *    Tea tastings for a non-alcoholic pairing Atmosphere & Experience: The setting is intimate, minimalist, and incredibly focused -- only a handful of seats, which makes it feel exclusive but still welcoming. Service is attentive without being stiff, and you can really feel the passion behind every course. Price & Value: Let's be real -- this is a splurge. Omakase here can run around $300+ per person before drinks, and reservations sell out quickly. But for a Michelin-recognized sushi experience in Orlando, it absolutely delivers.   Final Thoughts: Kadence isn't an everyday dinner -- it's a special-occasion destination. If you love sushi, sake, and thoughtfully crafted tasting menus, this place is unforgettable. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? Also yes.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about Kadence. The staff were so kind and welcoming and sat us immediately, pouring us a glass of water and taking our drink orders. I had pre-ordered the Sushi Selection for Two and the Scallop Uni Ikura Don. However, they were out of scallop, so they were able to substitute that for Tuna Tartare. We added on the squid karaage, salmon roe, and knifejaw sushi and finished out with warabimochi for dessert. The portions were great and we left feeling satisfied. Everything was INCREDIBLE. I don't think there was a single thing I didn't like. It was a very intimate experience with limited seating at the bar, but we liked not feeling over crowded. It was so fun to watch everyone in the kitchen and the playlist was so good. Overall, we had such a great time and they made my fiancé feel so special on his birthday. We can't wait to come back for more!

I've been a fan of Kadence since the East End days, so I was so lucky to snag a seat to their Tuesday seating called Tour de Kadence, which is pricer than their standard omakase but limited to one seating a night for up to 5 patrons. It took about 3 hours and consisted of 2 amuse bouche, 16 courses, and 3 desserts (one of which was a customer's birthday cake!)- I couldn't upload them all due to Yelp's photo limit! It was a very relaxed service - we had some interesting dishes like conger eel, Dover sole raw and fried, three types of otoro, and sukiyaki style wagyu. Jen made an amazing blueberry sesame cheesecake as a birthday cake and we all got to have a piece! We also got a goodie bag with an onigiri and mini matcha milk. I sadly live out of state now but I was happy to experience Kadence's Michelin era and am glad Mark and Jen have maintained such an inviting and unpretentious experience. I always recommend Kadence to anyone going to Orlando - it's a great place for sushi and it's always fun to talk to Mark, Jen, and the other customers. I hope I can try their Japanese breakfast one day, which a lot of folks have raved about!

    Sashimi platter was everything.

Nondescript building - check. Lack of signage - check. Minimalist aesthetic - check. 8 seat capacity - check. Today's date on menu - check. Use of some actual wasabi - check. Re-crystallized salt - check. Customer in kimono + obi - check. Chef spoke Japanese - check. Downplaying own skill - check. Easily Michelin Star grade. Truly next level. 6/5.

We love omakase and Kadence is like no other with the vibe! Love the old skool music. We think one of the other patrons was friends with the chef, and before we knew it, we were ALL doing sake bombs! We had the most lit lunch ever! So much fun with strangers, food was amazing, and we look forward to coming back sometime!

Kadence is still one of the best omakase experience you can get in Orlando. I've been going back several times for dinner service, lunch service, and their i&i room. They really deliver quality food and service every single time. You can't beat their fish quality and I love the additional dishes they serve beyond the sushi. The i&i room is so creative and the chefs really add their Filipino influence to the food. The ambience is so intimate yet causal and relaxing. Chefs always talk to you like you're friends and not very stuffy like many Michelin star restaurants. I highly recommend Kadence! I would go there more often if I'm rich lol

This was my final one of the four Michelin Starred restaurants in Orlando. I came here one chilly night in December, waiting for a mystery tasting menu that promised plenty of delicious, fresh fish. Their menu isn't online, and I like that. No one can get mad if a dish is missing due to unexpectedly low-quality ingredients, no one can get mad if a dish is added on because of unexpectedly high-quality ingredients. It's a surprise, a true omakase. You walk in, and the waiting area/bar is plastered with a wild, colorful, Asian-inspired mural that will keep your head spinning around looking at it for the entire time you're waiting to be seated. Then, the curtain is pulled back, and our super small seating of six people got seated, and the show began. There was the standard omakase offering of the sake pairing, but what I thought was neat was the non-alcoholic tea pairing that they offered. I jumped on that, and I'm glad I did. We started sipping on our drinks, and then the show began. I absolutely do not remember every detail of my meal, and I wouldn't share them with you even if I did. But I will give you some highlights. The show started off with a surprising soup, hope you're feeling adventurous. Then, a super large, super fresh oyster and some offal. These simple dishes really focus on highlighting one super quality ingredients, and pairing it with a minimal amount of ingredients just to really make the best parts of these ingredients pop on your palette. I loved it. The fresh fish dishes at the beginning of the meal were exquisite. Marinating in various delicious liquids, or just lightly smoked, as to not cook the meat, and the cuts they gave us were so thick, so the taste and texture of the fish were on full display and very apparent. I was pleased. Kind of the same thing with the sashimi course. Some fresh tuna, some blow-torched snapper, thick cuts, great texture. I was a fan. The only complaint I do have, and this is minor, is that some omakases I've been to, they go out of their way to tell us about each species of fish and where they were caught from and what notes to look out for when eating the fish. Small, but I do like that touch. Then comes the nigiri coursesss. A lot of prep work as the guy sliced it all up right in front of us, displaying his professional knife skills, I was very jealous. And then boom, one piece after another of huge pieces of fish with a small accoutrement to help the taste. Very good stuff. Very unique fish that you don't run into very often in Orlando. Then, winding down the meal, came a warm duck soup with some udon noodles. Very good. Deep flavors in that broth. And finally, desserts! A light, fruity bar with edible flowers and some granola-stuff for texture. Good. And finally finally, a matcha-themed tiramisu for the birthday we were celebrating. So delicious. So the meal was done and over with. I was very full and very pleased. I had only seen this move done at three star places, but we got a goodie bag to go home! A creamy, chilled green tea. And a poke bowl. Both meant for breakfast the next morning. This kind of added flair will get them that second star if they keep this up. Overall, this was an incredible experience. There were a million pros, and only that one con I mentioned earlier. If you can swing it, and if you like fresh seafood, you must come here.

Kadence is a once in a lifetime dining experience! It is a very pricey dinner, but it was worth every penny. The intimate setting, experienced and personable chef and staff, and the incredible food, my husband and I loved every bite!

Let's just say it's a Japanese restaurant with a Filipino dessert twist. Seems like they offer dessert tasting/bento that's worth trying. Didn't realize this place was already a hidden gem in Orlando.

My experience here was nothing short of exceptional. The food was absolutely delicious. The chefs were amazing. The music selection was dope. The intimacy of the place (only 8 people per dining session) was meticulous. I also opted in for the 8 course sake pairing (SO WORTH IT). If you get a chance to make a reservation, DO IT. Note* make sure you are a fan of fish, and not a picky eater because all 20 courses are unique and selectively chosen by the chef the day of.

One of the sakes from the Sake Voyage
    Orlando S.

Made a reservation before they got their Michelin star and happy that we did. Loved everything about the experience. The restaurant is small by design - 8-seats available for lunch and dinner. Lunch is 145 before tax and dinner is I think 225. Reservations are required for lunch and dinner. Reservations times are dropped about monthly and book up fast! Kadence is omakase style which means the chef chooses the items you'll get. The owners, Mark and Jen were great at explaining each dish and made the experience fun. All of the sushi was fresh and tasted amazing. I got the sake voyage which is a selection of 5 different sakes which are served through the meal. Jen, curates the voyage and decides which sakes will be served. They were all good with some lighter and sweeter than others. They have a sake flight with 3 sakes and another option with 7 sakes, all at different price points. Note: they play a wide range of music which includes some unedited songs. You almost feel like you're at a friends house - to me in a good way. However If this is a problem for you, you may want to avoid it. I'll definitely be back.

Has anyone had their Omakase set? Is it too expensive for date night or is it worth it?

During certain months, they offer a walk-in menu which is posted on Instagram. They offer a range of seatings, month pending, so it is the ideal date night if you're looking to impress someone. Being nine seats, it is very intimate, and the chefs…

How long should I allow for lunch? Looking forward to my upcoming reservation.

They started at 12:00 and we left the building at 1:45 pm. This was my experience.

Can anyone tell me how many courses are included with dinner? Also what the difference is in the early dinner vs late dinner. Notice the slight price difference.

Hi Kyle, thanks for the question! Our dinner experience is anywhere from 10-18 courses, depending on what we're serving, but it's always filling! It includes a sushi tasting (nigiri style, served piece by piece) as well as a few other dishes. It…

Is there a different menu for lunch and dinner?

Yes. The dinner has more items. They are always different.

What is the matinee dinner? How does it differ from Lunch or Regular dinner?

Earlier and fewer courses, but just as delicious, intimate, and filling as the others I would imagine. The experience felt very special.

So if you're a long time Central Florida resident, then you know that street is very walkable and super cute with the park nearby but also high end. I mean it has a Williams Sonoma, like casually. The restaurant is located at 525 S Park Ave, Winter Park, FL 32789. My boyfriend did get the reservation I think about a month in advance. It very much surprised me as one of my goals is to try new places in Orlando, and this was one that he had been to that I hadn't been to. So A++++ for him. So the restaurant had a super nice atmosphere but was very booked out. There were heart balloons at every table. So the decor was absolutely in the room with us lol. The service was very nice and I feel that they were very attentive and almost felt like maybe they had been trained to provide a certain feeling to customers. I'm sure they had been. Getting into the food, I'm not sure what the bill was. I wasn't allowed to look at it. I will say that I'm sure it was at least $100. I did leave feeling very full, but I do feel like that's a lot of money for me to feel full. We ordered the Misoyaki Butterfish, which was a Miso-glazed Chilean sea bass on a plate with ginger-sake eggplant, butter garlic sautéed spinach, and Japanese potato purée. It's a large plate and we did share, but it was not the whole fish. I think if I pay $45 for a fish, I want the whole fish. My rating is 8.5/10. It was incredibly delicious, but I want the rest of my fish. We also got the Kanpungi, which was fried Korean style boneless chicken bites smothered in a spicy soy sauce glaze. My rating of this is 9/10. I think it was great and was very filling for an appetizer. We accidentally ran into our friends at the restaurant, who had sent us a bottle of sake. The sake was great. We sent back a non-alcoholic cocktail they had and a sake based cocktail. I couldn't tell you what it tasted like, but the service presented and delivered back and forth between our table in a manner I can only describe as carrier pigeon-esque. They did great. I love fanfare. I think for a first date, this is a great place to bring someone you have been talking to for a little bit and want to show that you have a good stable job in this economy and like foods outside of American food. I wasn't on a first date as a note lol. My overall rating is 7.5/10. I mean I think everything was great, but that price stabbed me a little. My boyfriend did suggest to me that it would have been a higher rating if we had gotten one of the rolls. So that's on me. It is in a great walkable neighborhood though. So you are getting charged for ambiance.

It's always a rush to get Magical Dining people out the door, but not here. Loved it. The food was really, really good. It outshines so many other sushi places in Orlando. No wonder it's on the Michelin guide. Cons: Not a single con. A really nice experience. Tips: If you're looking around for Magical Dining places, and are wondering if you should come here, the answer is yes, you should. You absolutely must order the Berkwood St. Louis Sticky Ribs. But do not pay the extra for that Ube Cheesecake. Not worth the upgrade price.

There are a lot of good menus out there this year, but Kabooki just stood out. A good variety, great sounding flavors, customizable sushi entree. It was a clear good choice to make. Ambiance is always great at Kabooki. Dimly lit, a sleek, energetic bar right up front, an omakase bar over in the corner with a great view of the chef's working, and a playlist that just won't quit. It's all very swanky and full of hexagons. Service was great, too. We had a very nice, attentive server. And even though the pace was certainly not lackadaisical, we did not feel rushed at all, which is unusual for a Magical Dining reservation. Usually the restaurants can't wait to get us out the door, but here, we felt very welcome. It was nice. As for the food, for a $60 menu, they had their work cut out for them. would coming here be worth paying $40 total for both our meals? Long story short, yes, absolutely it was. Apps Maguro Truffle (tuna, bubu arare, shiitake crèma, balsamic truffle soy, serrano peppers). This was banging. Huge slabs of fresh tuna, covered in crispy crunchy little circles, and that shiitake crema, very umami, I licked the plate. I wasn't about to let any of that go to waste. Hamachi Carpaccio (Japanese yellowtail, yuzu tobiko, ponzu, kaffir lime oil, yuzu kosho, serrano peppers). This was not carpaccio. It was a menu play with the wagyu carpaccio right above it. But it was five excellent slices of fresh hamachi with a very bright sauce that it was laying in. Generous slices, too. Great apps. Mains Berkwood St. Louis Sticky Ribs (braised, then crispy tempura, tossed in smoked chili, hoisin sauce). I'll say it, these were the best Asian ribs I've ever had in Orlando. Tempura crispy exterior, melt in your mouth interior, and whatever they tossed it in, including sesame seeds, formed a beautiful little crust on the outside. Best bite of the night. Hands down. Two Makimono (pick 2: tom yum roll, hawaiian x.o roll, booki booki roll, spicy tuna roll). Tom Yum (panko shrimp, avocado, topped with torched salmon, tom yum aioli, thai chili flakes, micro cilantro, lemon wedge). Hawaii XO (yellowtail, avocado, tobanjan aioli, crispy shallots, topped with white fish, lemon confit, kaiware, pink salt). Both were very good rolls. The Tom Yum aioli was a very unique touch, which is what I was looking for. I'm so jaded with rolls nowadays, I really need to be impressed. The Hawaii roll was nice, too. Looking back, I don't recall or see any crispy shallots. Make sure to compare your rolls to the menu when you come here. Desserts C4 (chocolate lava cake with dulce de leche, vanilla ice cream, and chocolate ganache sauce). This was good. Textbook lava cake with all the decadent flavors you except, and a nice, cold ice cream to pair perfectly with it. Ube Cheesecake +$8 (graham cracker crust, topped with torched meringue, toasted coconut). Only two dollars more on the regular menu, but eight dollars more here. I still wanted it so badly, but I recommend you pass on this upgrade. It was a very good ube cheesecake, but it was not add-eight-dollars better than the creme brulee would have been. Overall, Kabooki is a very good little spot. With everyone and their mother offering fresh fish and sushi rolls nowadays, Kabooki stands above a lot of them in terms of quality and quantity of their offerings. No wonder it comes Michelin recommended. I'll definitely be back one day.

The service was top-notch. The restaurant itself is super cute and had a very warm ambiance (also pretty casual which was nice!). And the food... y'all I can see why everyone hypes this place up because it really is PHENOMENAL. The Richie Rich ramen is the best Ramen I have ever had. The broth was delicious. The meat was cooked to perfection and I was so happy to have leftovers for the next day. The wings were the best wings I've had in a very long time or probably even ever lol (no exaggeration because if you try them, you'll totally understand and agree with me). I truly can't wait to go back and try more things from the menu!

Wow wow wow this was everything I expected and more!…read more Domu has been on my list for a while and I don't know why it took me so long to finally get here. My friends and I dined in on Saturday night and showed up at 7PM to a two hour wait. Unfortunate, but so worth it. We headed upstairs to the neighborhood bar and got an appetizer and a drink while we waited. We only ended up having to wait maybe an hour and a half for our table at Domu. The service was insanely quick and immediately after ordering our first appetizer came within five minutes. They really know what they're doing here. Whoever was on the aux this evening, 10 out of 10. The music was amazing and the vibes of the restaurant were immaculate. We ordered the cheezus, their signature wings, and the patatas bravas. I understand why they are the best way in Orlando! They were crispy and sweet and flavorful. The potatoes were delicious and the sauce that came with it paired perfectly. I believe it was topped with a crispy quinoa, which was a really nice touch. I can't really do cheese so I didn't try the cheezus, but my friends loved it and said it was delicious. Our server gave me a rundown of his favorite chicken ramens and I ended up choosing the yuzu shoyu ramen. It was nice and full of citrus. I love the eggs that come with the ramen, and he very kindly brought out another egg for me as well as a brûlée egg. I've never tried a Brulé egg in my life and it was so interesting and delicious! Basically a crème brûlée egg!! 10s across the board. I can't wait to come back for more.

The vibe in The Salon is great, refined and thoughtful, but comfortable enough that you can actually relax and have a conversation.  I kicked things off with their Sake Martini (Junmai Daiginjo, Cocchi Americano, and bitters). It had that crisp bite you want from sake, but finished remarkably smooth on the palate.  From there, the food just kept delivering: Hiramasa: We started with this, and it was truly exquisite. Pristine AmberJack served with fresh tomatoes, fresh herbs, and a gochujang dashi that brought incredible depth and just the right amount of savory punch. Crab Tart: Phenomenal little bite. The crab meat was super fresh and naturally sweet, accented really nicely with leek and sunchoke.  Key West Rock Shrimp: We added this on as an extra course. It had a light dusting of coconut over a sweet stone-fruit jam base, and the balance was spot on. Wagyu: Hands down my favorite course of the night. It cut like butter, melted in your mouth, and came with a rich stout jus, charbroiled onion, and sweet potato puree. Absolutely exquisite. Dessert: Wrapped up with a rich chocolate pâte à choux with chocolate ganache, complete with a birthday candle. Beyond the food, the service really made the night. Our server was attentive, down to earth, and great to chat with throughout the meal. If you are looking for a spot in Winter Park for a special occasion or just want to treat yourself to a memorable dinner, I cannot recommend it enough.

I do want to preface this review with the fact that I came for Magical Dining so the experience…read moremight be completely different for others, however, I do believe this is equally justified rating as some of these things would likely be the same regardless. We got to our reservation and were seated at the bar. The restaurant has less traditional seating with a cool ambiance similar to eating at a nice upscale house. There was lounge seating, regular bar seating, a chefs table bar seating area and only a couple of standard tables. The food was good, but a bit underwhelming. My first course was the scallop dish. It was quite acidic for my liking, but was a balanced dish. The hiramasa that my fiancee got for her first course was probably the best thing we had and was balanced. The fish had a good salt balance and the tomato was well balanced. Even with how much oil appears on the plate, it was perfect in my opinion. The Australian wagyu for the second course was my biggest crux of the meal as it was good, but the wagyu itself isn't like other wagyu I've had and is more in line with other cuts I've had. The sweet potato puree was velvety and great texture, the onion had a great char and the sauce was great but it feels like the dish didn't go together. Everything was so sweet and having everything together was unpleasant in my opinion. The dark chocolate dessert was the best part of my meal as it was balanced and not overly sweet. The cherries were so good and the cream inside of the choux was creamy and delicious. I will say, even though everything was reasonably tasty and you could see the preparation in this meal was at a higher standard, I left this meal a bit hungry and underwhelmed which is a bit sad considering it was a $60 option for magical dining. Two other major qualms for me was a 22% service charge and the ac being out. The service charge isn't very present prior and is only on the menu. I also thought there would come more to the service portion like you see on TV where you're explained the inspirations for the dishes etc, but I'd say the service, while good, wasn't anything that warranted it being higher than normal. For the ac portion, we weren't notified the ac was out prior to coming which at this kind of establishment is a bit disappointing. I read other reviews after and it's been out for some time so a notice would've been nice. It's felt when you walk in and I was visibly sweating at times as we sat for longer. All in all, I am a believer that there are off days for restaurants and that they should be given other attempts, but at the price point this is at outside of magical dining, it will likely not get a return from me.

First off, the setting is gorgeous sitting around the chef's counter. Sitting at the very end, it felt like a private dining experience with my partner and the chefs/staff who were putting on such a show. Each course was thoughtfully explained and presented with such fine care, really making me appreciate each bite and ponder about the ingredients being used. Hearing about the hyper-local farms and what they provide was really unique, while also appreciating the fish, rice, and vinegar they import from Japan for authenticity. Overall a great blend. The food is expertly prepared, though I wish they leaned more into the sushi and Japanese inspiration for the entire evening. The fresh fish and sushi courses were the highlights of the show and make for a peculiar parallel to the later deeper flavor dishes like the braised short rib. Possibly this is averted if we had splurged on the wagyu supplement but still felt like the menu takes a turn towards the end. I can't speak more highly of the service here. The entire team was incredible throughout the entire evening with an energy and passion that only comes with this caliber of restaurant. With Sushi Saint and Perla's now all here, we did notice when we went to leave how tricky the parking lot becomes. Even with the valet, we struggled to leave with cars stacked up trying to park - would make sure you arrive with plenty of time. Overall, Soseki was a great experience and worth its most recent star and price. We had incredible food served by impressive people that made for an amazing celebration.

Definitely made the occasion feel special from start to finish. First off, book ahead. Seating is extremely limited and this is the kind of place that fills up for a reason. Chef Tony runs the counter with a level of precision and calm confidence that you immediately feel the moment you sit down. It's not just about the food, it's the pacing, the storytelling, and how intentional every course feels. The omakase flows beautifully. Nothing feels rushed, nothing feels dragged out. Each piece builds on the last. You can tell there's real thought behind the progression. The fish is pristine, but what stood out more was how balanced everything was. Clean flavors, subtle creativity, and zero gimmicks. A few bites genuinely caught me off guard in the best way. That moment where you pause and just look at the person next to you like... yeah, that was special. If you're going, get the drink pairing. It actually elevates the experience instead of just being an add-on. Everything is thoughtfully matched and enhances each course without overpowering it. Service matched the experience. Attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable without sounding scripted. The whole room feels intimate and dialed in. Chef Tony made the experience feel personal, not transactional, which is rare even at high end omakase spots. If you're in Orlando and serious about sushi, this is a must. Not just for the quality, but for the experience as a whole.
