    Premium Sake Flight

When you want to highlight the art of omakase and focus on the food, Kadence is the place to dine. Superior quality and service without the pretentiousness of other Michelin star experiences. Simple. Artistic. Authentic. Premium Sake Flight was perfect complement to the experience. There is a reason Kadence does no advertising, has no signage, and doesn't display its accolades. It doesn't have to.

My husband surprised me with a birthday omakase dinner at Kadance and it was definitely one to remember! Chefs Mark and Jen brought fresh and indulgent ingredients into each of the dishes they prepared. Each and every bite kept getting better and better. My husband also got us the tea pairing, and each tea offered such refreshing palette cleansers between each dish. I love the intimacy and coziness of their omakase experience. They were so kind and Chef Mark was very entertaining. They made us feel comfortable and took careful consideration into preparing each dish throughout the night. It's so hard to pick a favorite because it was all so good! Highly recommend for any special occasion.

My mom and I went to Kadence for a nice dinner when she was in town. We had done Soseki before and I was hoping for a similar experience. I don't know whether it was specific to the group we had there that night, but this was so much more fun. The food at Kadence was as excellent as soseki with a few more unexpected twists, but the atmosphere was much more friendly and social. While soseki felt very formal when I went, all of the groups here were chatting with each other and the chef the entire time. The couple running this place were so much fun to chat with and they told us so much about the operation. Their son also made an appearance and he was so sweet! We also loved this place's cocktails, they've got some creative stuff that I've never seen before. The sake was also a great selection. We got the flight and it was delicious. Food wise, this place is just incredible from a perspective of freshness, presentation, flavor, really everything. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking to try a friendly omakase.

Absolutely loved my experience here for a belated birthday present. The space is small, but packed with fresh and amazing flavors. I shared the sushi omekase for two and can't honestly tell you exactly one thing, but EVERYTHING was delicious! Loved all the 11 different fish (technically the last one is a sea urchin or uni). We also had to try the shrimp tempura, slow braised pork, and the grilled sirloin. Highly recommend the pork and sirloin and a game changer from the sushi. I most definitely am coming back, but I hope the air conditioning is fixed cuz it was a scorcher in the bar seating since the remodel.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about Kadence. The staff were so kind and welcoming and sat us immediately, pouring us a glass of water and taking our drink orders. I had pre-ordered the Sushi Selection for Two and the Scallop Uni Ikura Don. However, they were out of scallop, so they were able to substitute that for Tuna Tartare. We added on the squid karaage, salmon roe, and knifejaw sushi and finished out with warabimochi for dessert. The portions were great and we left feeling satisfied. Everything was INCREDIBLE. I don't think there was a single thing I didn't like. It was a very intimate experience with limited seating at the bar, but we liked not feeling over crowded. It was so fun to watch everyone in the kitchen and the playlist was so good. Overall, we had such a great time and they made my fiancé feel so special on his birthday. We can't wait to come back for more!

I've been a fan of Kadence since the East End days, so I was so lucky to snag a seat to their Tuesday seating called Tour de Kadence, which is pricer than their standard omakase but limited to one seating a night for up to 5 patrons. It took about 3 hours and consisted of 2 amuse bouche, 16 courses, and 3 desserts (one of which was a customer's birthday cake!)- I couldn't upload them all due to Yelp's photo limit! It was a very relaxed service - we had some interesting dishes like conger eel, Dover sole raw and fried, three types of otoro, and sukiyaki style wagyu. Jen made an amazing blueberry sesame cheesecake as a birthday cake and we all got to have a piece! We also got a goodie bag with an onigiri and mini matcha milk. I sadly live out of state now but I was happy to experience Kadence's Michelin era and am glad Mark and Jen have maintained such an inviting and unpretentious experience. I always recommend Kadence to anyone going to Orlando - it's a great place for sushi and it's always fun to talk to Mark, Jen, and the other customers. I hope I can try their Japanese breakfast one day, which a lot of folks have raved about!

    Sashimi platter was everything.

Nondescript building - check. Lack of signage - check. Minimalist aesthetic - check. 8 seat capacity - check. Today's date on menu - check. Use of some actual wasabi - check. Re-crystallized salt - check. Customer in kimono + obi - check. Chef spoke Japanese - check. Downplaying own skill - check. Easily Michelin Star grade. Truly next level. 6/5.

We love omakase and Kadence is like no other with the vibe! Love the old skool music. We think one of the other patrons was friends with the chef, and before we knew it, we were ALL doing sake bombs! We had the most lit lunch ever! So much fun with strangers, food was amazing, and we look forward to coming back sometime!

Kadence is still one of the best omakase experience you can get in Orlando. I've been going back several times for dinner service, lunch service, and their i&i room. They really deliver quality food and service every single time. You can't beat their fish quality and I love the additional dishes they serve beyond the sushi. The i&i room is so creative and the chefs really add their Filipino influence to the food. The ambience is so intimate yet causal and relaxing. Chefs always talk to you like you're friends and not very stuffy like many Michelin star restaurants. I highly recommend Kadence! I would go there more often if I'm rich lol

This was my final one of the four Michelin Starred restaurants in Orlando. I came here one chilly night in December, waiting for a mystery tasting menu that promised plenty of delicious, fresh fish. Their menu isn't online, and I like that. No one can get mad if a dish is missing due to unexpectedly low-quality ingredients, no one can get mad if a dish is added on because of unexpectedly high-quality ingredients. It's a surprise, a true omakase. You walk in, and the waiting area/bar is plastered with a wild, colorful, Asian-inspired mural that will keep your head spinning around looking at it for the entire time you're waiting to be seated. Then, the curtain is pulled back, and our super small seating of six people got seated, and the show began. There was the standard omakase offering of the sake pairing, but what I thought was neat was the non-alcoholic tea pairing that they offered. I jumped on that, and I'm glad I did. We started sipping on our drinks, and then the show began. I absolutely do not remember every detail of my meal, and I wouldn't share them with you even if I did. But I will give you some highlights. The show started off with a surprising soup, hope you're feeling adventurous. Then, a super large, super fresh oyster and some offal. These simple dishes really focus on highlighting one super quality ingredients, and pairing it with a minimal amount of ingredients just to really make the best parts of these ingredients pop on your palette. I loved it. The fresh fish dishes at the beginning of the meal were exquisite. Marinating in various delicious liquids, or just lightly smoked, as to not cook the meat, and the cuts they gave us were so thick, so the taste and texture of the fish were on full display and very apparent. I was pleased. Kind of the same thing with the sashimi course. Some fresh tuna, some blow-torched snapper, thick cuts, great texture. I was a fan. The only complaint I do have, and this is minor, is that some omakases I've been to, they go out of their way to tell us about each species of fish and where they were caught from and what notes to look out for when eating the fish. Small, but I do like that touch. Then comes the nigiri coursesss. A lot of prep work as the guy sliced it all up right in front of us, displaying his professional knife skills, I was very jealous. And then boom, one piece after another of huge pieces of fish with a small accoutrement to help the taste. Very good stuff. Very unique fish that you don't run into very often in Orlando. Then, winding down the meal, came a warm duck soup with some udon noodles. Very good. Deep flavors in that broth. And finally, desserts! A light, fruity bar with edible flowers and some granola-stuff for texture. Good. And finally finally, a matcha-themed tiramisu for the birthday we were celebrating. So delicious. So the meal was done and over with. I was very full and very pleased. I had only seen this move done at three star places, but we got a goodie bag to go home! A creamy, chilled green tea. And a poke bowl. Both meant for breakfast the next morning. This kind of added flair will get them that second star if they keep this up. Overall, this was an incredible experience. There were a million pros, and only that one con I mentioned earlier. If you can swing it, and if you like fresh seafood, you must come here.

Kadence is a once in a lifetime dining experience! It is a very pricey dinner, but it was worth every penny. The intimate setting, experienced and personable chef and staff, and the incredible food, my husband and I loved every bite!

    Liyike J.

Let's just say it's a Japanese restaurant with a Filipino dessert twist. Seems like they offer dessert tasting/bento that's worth trying. Didn't realize this place was already a hidden gem in Orlando.

    Demi A.

My experience here was nothing short of exceptional. The food was absolutely delicious. The chefs were amazing. The music selection was dope. The intimacy of the place (only 8 people per dining session) was meticulous. I also opted in for the 8 course sake pairing (SO WORTH IT). If you get a chance to make a reservation, DO IT. Note* make sure you are a fan of fish, and not a picky eater because all 20 courses are unique and selectively chosen by the chef the day of.

Earlier and fewer courses, but just as delicious, intimate, and filling as the others I would imagine. The experience felt very special.

So if you're a long time Central Florida resident, then you know that street is very walkable and super cute with the park nearby but also high end. I mean it has a Williams Sonoma, like casually. The restaurant is located at 525 S Park Ave, Winter Park, FL 32789. My boyfriend did get the reservation I think about a month in advance. It very much surprised me as one of my goals is to try new places in Orlando, and this was one that he had been to that I hadn't been to. So A++++ for him. So the restaurant had a super nice atmosphere but was very booked out. There were heart balloons at every table. So the decor was absolutely in the room with us lol. The service was very nice and I feel that they were very attentive and almost felt like maybe they had been trained to provide a certain feeling to customers. I'm sure they had been. Getting into the food, I'm not sure what the bill was. I wasn't allowed to look at it. I will say that I'm sure it was at least $100. I did leave feeling very full, but I do feel like that's a lot of money for me to feel full. We ordered the Misoyaki Butterfish, which was a Miso-glazed Chilean sea bass on a plate with ginger-sake eggplant, butter garlic sautéed spinach, and Japanese potato purée. It's a large plate and we did share, but it was not the whole fish. I think if I pay $45 for a fish, I want the whole fish. My rating is 8.5/10. It was incredibly delicious, but I want the rest of my fish. We also got the Kanpungi, which was fried Korean style boneless chicken bites smothered in a spicy soy sauce glaze. My rating of this is 9/10. I think it was great and was very filling for an appetizer. We accidentally ran into our friends at the restaurant, who had sent us a bottle of sake. The sake was great. We sent back a non-alcoholic cocktail they had and a sake based cocktail. I couldn't tell you what it tasted like, but the service presented and delivered back and forth between our table in a manner I can only describe as carrier pigeon-esque. They did great. I love fanfare. I think for a first date, this is a great place to bring someone you have been talking to for a little bit and want to show that you have a good stable job in this economy and like foods outside of American food. I wasn't on a first date as a note lol. My overall rating is 7.5/10. I mean I think everything was great, but that price stabbed me a little. My boyfriend did suggest to me that it would have been a higher rating if we had gotten one of the rolls. So that's on me. It is in a great walkable neighborhood though. So you are getting charged for ambiance.

We made our reservations, arrived, buckled up, and went along for the ride. Ambiance was nice. I love when all of the diners are seated at a mega-bar around the kitchen. I like seeing all the phases of the dish being put together. And I also love that we got taken to a different room entirely for dessert. Dessert lounges are a trend I definitely want to stick around. The service was nice. It wasn't the scheduled down-to-the-second kind of service choreography that some Three Star restaurants have, but it was well-timed, and it was very friendly. If I had one recommendation, it would be to have staff slow down and enunciate more clearly when it comes to describing the dish. There are so many components to so many of them, I missed some of the words. As for the food, wow. Just wow. The website touts an experience that is both Japanese and French. We start off with the snacks course, a few little seafood courses, the big fish, the chicken, the meat, and then onto the dessert room. So there's plenty of food to go around. I won't detail everything, because it hopefully won't be the same when you come, and no one wants to read all that anyway. I will point out some highlights and lowlights. I'm gonna say it, this was one of the best snacks course I've had at tasting menu, ever. The wonderful contrasting textures, the intricate tweezer work on ingredients that actually help the flavor, it was just so good. The choose-your-own-chopstick-adventure box was a fun surprise. The playfulness of the emergency fork at the end of the box was hilarious. A really nice way for a place like this to lighten things up, for people who maybe come here a little stiff because of the pricetag. The crispiness of that chicken skin was unlike anything I've ever eaten, and I will remember it until my dying day. That was probably the biggest surprise of the night. Thank you for that, Omo. The biggest lowlight of the evening for me was the "beignet" that was served with the final savory, meat course. Whatever that thing was was not a beignet, and calling it one brings you great shame. The desserts were ultra fun. I like how they really wanted to showcase Florida citrus, I loved that Melon, a really impressive piece of fruit, and the playfulness of that box was something I hadn't seen in American tasting menus, I was really glad to see it. Overall, this was a very good experience. I will not rank it publicly against other Starred restaurants in Orlando, but if you are interested in that kind of stuff, just reach out, we can chat. A really nice meal, Omo. Thank you!

First off, the setting is gorgeous sitting around the chef's counter. Sitting at the very end, it felt like a private dining experience with my partner and the chefs/staff who were putting on such a show. Each course was thoughtfully explained and presented with such fine care, really making me appreciate each bite and ponder about the ingredients being used. Hearing about the hyper-local farms and what they provide was really unique, while also appreciating the fish, rice, and vinegar they import from Japan for authenticity. Overall a great blend. The food is expertly prepared, though I wish they leaned more into the sushi and Japanese inspiration for the entire evening. The fresh fish and sushi courses were the highlights of the show and make for a peculiar parallel to the later deeper flavor dishes like the braised short rib. Possibly this is averted if we had splurged on the wagyu supplement but still felt like the menu takes a turn towards the end. I can't speak more highly of the service here. The entire team was incredible throughout the entire evening with an energy and passion that only comes with this caliber of restaurant. With Sushi Saint and Perla's now all here, we did notice when we went to leave how tricky the parking lot becomes. Even with the valet, we struggled to leave with cars stacked up trying to park - would make sure you arrive with plenty of time. Overall, Soseki was a great experience and worth its most recent star and price. We had incredible food served by impressive people that made for an amazing celebration.

Dining at Soseki was easily one of the most memorable meals I've had in Orlando…read more We went for the anniversary omakase and it was amazing. Definitely made the occasion feel special from start to finish. First off, book ahead. Seating is extremely limited and this is the kind of place that fills up for a reason. Chef Tony runs the counter with a level of precision and calm confidence that you immediately feel the moment you sit down. It's not just about the food, it's the pacing, the storytelling, and how intentional every course feels. The omakase flows beautifully. Nothing feels rushed, nothing feels dragged out. Each piece builds on the last. You can tell there's real thought behind the progression. The fish is pristine, but what stood out more was how balanced everything was. Clean flavors, subtle creativity, and zero gimmicks. A few bites genuinely caught me off guard in the best way. That moment where you pause and just look at the person next to you like... yeah, that was special. If you're going, get the drink pairing. It actually elevates the experience instead of just being an add-on. Everything is thoughtfully matched and enhances each course without overpowering it. Service matched the experience. Attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable without sounding scripted. The whole room feels intimate and dialed in. Chef Tony made the experience feel personal, not transactional, which is rare even at high end omakase spots. If you're in Orlando and serious about sushi, this is a must. Not just for the quality, but for the experience as a whole.

If you're a foodie and visiting Orlando, this should be at the top of your list. If you live in Orlando, I'm jealous- I'd go here a lot. The vibe is very cool- feels very chameleon: girl's night, date night, big group all trying a bunch of small plates - all yes! I wish I could find the order form that I took so I could properly give credit to each of the delicious things we ordered. There's a menu and then a small piece of paper with pencils and you put in your order at the bar where they give you a number.

Definitely worth trying. I also enjoyed a couple of drinks with my meal. My only complaint was the service setup. There wasn't table service, so we had to place our food order at the bar even though we were seated at a table, and at times we had to pick up our own drinks from the bar as well. It wasn't a huge issue, but it did take away a bit from the experience. That said, the quality of the food made up for it. If you're looking for great food and don't mind a more self-service style experience, Tori Tori is worth a visit. I'll be back for the crab fried rice ;)
