Truly the best Indian food I've ever had. The butter chicken was spicy, flavorful, and buttery, so incredible delicious! We also tried garlic and cheese naan and the Gobi cauliflower which was insanely crisp and yummy. The servers were very friendly and the interior is cute and welcoming. I cannot recommend the food enough, I want to come back to try more!

Beautiful restaurant with tasty, well-executed Indian classics. Service is efficient and friendly. One of my favorite Indian restaurants in Boston.

We've been waiting for this restaurant to open ever since we saw the sign go up (probably more than a year ago) and once we saw it opened up...we had to go. We got a reservation for Sunday, but I don't think you really need one. When we went in the restaurant was mostly empty with a few groups there. So that being said, we were seated immediately. The restaurant itself is beautiful with the flower decorations and overall interior being well thought out and designed. I would call it a pretty restaurant for sure. It looked like they had a private room in the back, and booths looked like more intimate seating. There's also a bar area with huge TVs (the drinks are great!). For our appetizer we got the Aloo Samosa. The samosa were perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and had a delicious filling! Both of the chutneys were great with it too (although usually the green one has some spice, here it wasn't spicy). For our entrees we got the Madrasi Chicken and the Saag Chicken, and we got the chili naan. I asked for the madrasi chicken to be spicy. Don't do that- leave it as is. Both of the entrees were huge and came with bowls of rice. The chicken in both of them were perfectly cooked chicken thighs. They weren't dry- they were just that perfect cook that when you make chicken at home you feel is impossible to achieve. The saag was very flavorful and went so well with the naan, I think we'd definitely get it again. It was creamy too! The madrasi chicken (that I asked to be spicy) was very spicy, but so good. The sauce it was in reminded me of my uncles chicken curry. It was so flavorful with a variety of spices and flavors coming through. I had it with rice and the naan, but I liked it with the rice more. For my cocktail I got the desert bloom. It was like an espresso martini but with pistachio. It was delicious and I'd get it again, but honestly does not pair well with the food. Next time I'll try something else that matches the food a bit better. My only complaint is the service. I understand it's a new restaurant so I'm sure there are some kinks to work out, but our waiter didn't check in with us at all once our entrees came out. Not that there were any problems (the food was so delicious) but usually your waiter will stop by at least once to make sure everything came out well. Once we finished eating (the portions were huge and we had leftovers) we had to wait a WHILE for the check. Another waitress was walking past us and realized we were done eating and asked if we needed boxes- only then did our waiter come back with the takeout boxes and bill. Waiting around for 20ish minutes after you've finished eating can be annoying, so hopefully they work out a better system soon. TLDR: the food is great, and I'll be back! A much needed and definitely one of the better Indian restaurants in boston proper.

I ordered take out chicken biryani and saag paneer. OMG it was the best version of both of these dishes I've ever had. Subtle spicing, beautiful texture, and just the right level of heat. So glad this restaurant opened in South Boston.

The food here was really good! The beetroot kabobs, paneer butter masala, gobi, and garlic naan were all so good. The food is accurately Indian spicy if you want it that way. The drinks were good, but not as much of an Indian twist as was expected. The Bombay Brine tasted just like an extra dirty martini. The interior of the restaurant is also really nice. Our server was really sweet! Will definitely be going back!

My wife refused to believe that it wasn't a wig store. I laughed, opened the outer door, walked into a small vestibule, and opened the inner door to find a cocktail oasis. The hostess said they were very busy, but found us 2 seats and a table that we shared with another couple. The environment makes it easy to meet new people, and soon we were all chatting away, enjoying the music and the ambiance. Our server was great. She brought us water and dropped off the "menu" - part menu and part comic book. It was so innovative. All the cocktails are custom creations, but they do offer what they call "tabletop classics" as well. You go here to try new cocktails, not cocktails you can get anywhere. Go ahead, be daring! I had two Curly Colas, a take on a rum and cola, but nothing like anything I have had previously. Two kinds of rum, Averna, lemon and a little saline. It is served on ice with a dehydrated mushroom. Simply outstanding! My wife had a Bergamot Spritz that she loved. There are many cocktail places in Boston, but nothing like this! Go there and enjoy.

It was a Sunday night and we didn't feel like going far for a meal. That's when we put the voucher to use as the Capiz is in the lobby of the hotel. We went for an early dinner. Walking into the restaurant, no one was there to greet us and there was no host stand. Finally, a server (who also turned out to be our server) told us to pick where we wanted to sit. We chose a four-top table. When it was time to order, we were dealing with a limited menu. I chose lobster quesadillas, which were listed under "appetizers". My husband chose the fish and chips. The quesadilla was sloppily made. Some pieces had hardly any cheese or lobster in them. Other pieces were overloaded with lobster and cheese. While it was all edible and the lobster was properly cooked, it still was underwhelming. My husband said the fish was well prepared, flaky and crispy at the same time. There were too many French fries, making the plate a bit messy. In a pinch, Capiz did fit the bill as we didn't feel like going far for a meal that day.
