This restaurant was right across the street from our Hotel so we decided to try it!! The food was not to bad. My Pad Thai was very good, but my hubby's dish (drunken noodle) was a bit too spicy!!! The Goyas were delish!!! The service was good as well!! The restaurant needs an up date but that is what gives it its charm.!!

im all for a little hole in the wall Thai place -- this one was a little jarring I must admit when you walk in. Everything is red - I mean everything: walls, booths, floor- very red. It smelt of cleaning products at our table and slight moth balls when you walk in -- felt like a restaraunt in an old casino in Vegas in the 80s. I wish it had smelt more of Thai food when you go in- that's all. The service was really nice - appreciated the tentativeness and smiles we got. I had the Pad Thai and it was OK. It looked very grey which I thought was odd -- it should have some more color and be more brown/tan if seasoned correctly. That being said, it was under seasoned. I'd pass on this if I were in town next time. But, wasn't bad!

THAI cuisine is my fav cuisine and i have eaten it world over ! This was by far the worst ! Which self respecting thai restaurant uses fettuccine noodles for drunken noodles !! No real flavor was added bonus ! Pls AVOID !

Stopped at Montien for dinner on a Tuesday night. It was about 8/8:30 pm and very quiet. (There was a couple at the bar and then us.) They have giant windows that open which is great - not sure if they don't have AC or just had it turned off but it was nice to have the fresh air. Our server was very friendly and attentive and the service was impressively fast. We ordered Thai Iced Teas (and water) for drinks and the Drunken Noodles and Red Curry, both with Chicken. The Thai Iced Teas were amazing and the food was great!! The meals came out so fast and the food was hot and flavorful. Keep in mind, if there is a spicy indicator (), it is spicy!! I ordered the Drunken Noodles "mild" but wow, it was spicy!!!

Very close to a five on this! I was so pleasantly surprised by this restaurant outside by the theater district. I stopped by before a show. Service was quick and the staff was helpful. This is a no frills restaurant but the food was flavorful it didn't need any extra flair! This was some of the best red curry I have had in boston. A neighboring table had drunken noodles that looked divine! I will definitely be going back to try more

Went after work on a weekday so it was pretty empty. The server was so nice and made jokes, even the bartender when the drinks were too strong for us he remade again and added so it was perfect. The thai tea cocktail was interesting it was on the strong side definitely but I would say if you would like to just ask for more of the tea part, it wasn't too sweet so it was perfect for me. We got papaya salad which at first wasn't on the menu but when I asked he said there was another menu so keep on the look out for that if you want a more detailed version of Thai dishes. I do wish the papaya salad was more sauced though it was lacking a little and was a little on the firm side but it had a nice spice to it. The dishes were good they had a good amount of seasoning and the soup was refreshing.

Such a great lunch here today. Service was top notch, food was delicious and it's got a nice authentic feel. Def a place to try if you're a fan of Thai food! In order for me to give 5 stars, it has to be out of this world- but this is close!

Not bad, not great. Drunken noodles sauce was too sweet and gloppy. Red curry had good flavor, nice amount of veggies, but sauce was thin.

Coming right when they open I was able to see these things that you would likely not see in the evening. But to be fair I came right when they opened since it is first come first serve. A majority of the drinks were more on the savory side which was very interesting like "may all your bacon burn" with bacon bites at the top of the drink. The drinks my friend had were all stunning with the use of egg yolk to elevate the drink. We ended the evening by walking over to Bow Market and trying Viet Citron which was so DANG GOOD my gosh. The to go orders were insane but looks like they are doing very well despite recently opening in. I got the grilled lemongrass pork ribs bowl and youtiao and the side sauce was so good. The ribs were all very meaty. It looks small but I was surprised how full I was after having it. Nice night of drinks and food. We also spent an hour at the King Tut exhibit across the street! This restaurant/bar always seems packed. And, with reservations for 645pm (highly recommend) the bar was quite busy. The buzz from this high-end cocktail bar is exactly what you want on a Friday evening; From girlfriends sipping their wine to couples laughing and swirling their cocktails, Moon Bar is for the classy and sexy. Abby our server is excellent! A mixologist who knows all the cocktails and can recommend based on your preference. I tried one of their new cocktails with bourbon and did not care for it. Abby made me my mezcal drink that I have ordered before...its the 305 cowboy, an extremely popular drink. A must try for sure! Note: Some bartenders make you feel guilty for saying something about a drink you ordered and did not like. But, here at Moon Bar, Abby was so gracious to make me something that I will enjoy. Hats off to her:) Food: Since it was restaurant week we just shared everything. For starters we ordered the Tuna Tartare that was excellent. Then, we had Piri-Piri Chicken Thighs that were also good but quite spicy. For dessert, we shared the Caribbean Tiramisu, which was great. It was a tough choice between this and the Guava Cheesecake. We were so full that we ended up bringing home leftovers. Oh, I also forgot to mention we always order their Curry Fries - a must try when coming here Trust Me. My husband doesn't love curry but he loves these fries and you will too. #friesaretodiefor Moon Bar, thanks for being amazing in every way. In advance, I stopped into the hotel to confirm that a gluten-free guest could be accommodated and was assured this would be handled. In reality, the accommodation was inadequate and, at times, unacceptable. While the rest of us were served scones, my stepdaughter was given cut fruit in their place, and told that was all they had to accommodate. The dessert course consisted of what appeared to be basic gluten-free cookies, misrepresented as something more gourmet - egg nog cookies??? This lack of preparation was both disappointing, upsetting and avoidable. The broader experience was equally concerning. We were subjected to an unsolicited and uncomfortable "lesson" on tea service, which detracted from what should have been a relaxed and celebratory occasion. While trying to enjoy the time with the girls, being a lifelong tea drinker and someone who has been to many times at your establishment and its various incarnations, this is something I have never experienced. The food quality was poor (scones were clearly reheated and stuck to the cloth napkin they were wrapped in), and there were notable service lapses, including being served water in a visibly shattered glass. Additionally, when hot water was added to refresh the tea, my stepdaughter's pot curdled and had to be replaced. It was especially disappointing, as I mentioned that I had stopped in and spoken with the concierge, and was assured, as they had called the kitchen while I stood there that they readily accommodated gluten-free. There are numerous places in the city that could have done this, and if you had just told me that you could not do so, I would have booked us elsewhere. I chose not to raise the multiple issues in the moment so as not to disrupt what was meant to be a special day for the girls and me. However, the total cost exceeded $500, and the experience did not come close to justifying that price point! Do not recommend.
