The place is located right out front of our hotel's pool and courtyard. They have a variety of available bowls and shaved ice. Hubby and I wanted something small and split the Kai cup. It was refreshing to have on a hot day in the shade at a table they have available. You can people watch from there too.

Delicious fresh items here and Kona black coffee!! They sell shaved iced, açaí bowls, waffles, and dole whip! There's dole whip specials where you can add toppings like pineapple, coconut flakes, strawberry, etc. Everything is refreshing and moderately priced for being so close to the beach and near the main shops of Waikiki.

I've always been meaning to try this place, and finally did. On two separate occasions, I tried the acai Bowl and the Choco waffle Croissant, and they were both excellent. The acai Bowl was classic so no complaints there. The waffle was nice and flaky just like a croissant. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a snack to come here.

10/10 all around. The waffles and coffee were amazing. The service was amazing. Outdoor seating was cool. We got the strawberry waffle, blueberry waffle, and Hawaiian waffle. All of them were amazingggg. So warm and crispy with fresh fruit and cream cheese filling on top! I also got the iced caramel latte which was delicious! I want to eat this everyday for the rest of my life lol

Permanent outdoor stall with some covered picnic tables. They have four different açaí bowls and we got the aloha bowl (I asked for mine without coconut flakes). I loved the transparency of the pricing, the menu states the 16oz bowls are $13.95 (except the Nutella bowl costs $2 more for the same size). I think the options at the Sunrise Shack are a similar bang for your buck, I'd guess their large is a 20oz for $18, but I didn't see other açaí shops in downtown Waikiki with transparent pricing.

While I did indulge in two açaí bowls from here, it was really because of convenience and mother nature had me craving fruit so bad! The first time, I ordered a regular bowl. I am not a fan of coconut so I asked for extra fruit instead. The açai bowl was pretty good but not the best I've ever had. The second time I ordered the açai bowl with nutella. The nutella açai bowl left a lot to be desired, which was surprising considering how much I love nutella. It also seemed to be lacking enough fruit and I don't know if because I asked for extra previously or this was the normal amount. And even though I'm not a fan of ripe bananas, I didn't remove them either time and it wasn't bad. Now this place was convenient, but the customer service was not that kind. There were two people working the stand every time; I believe the same two people. Neither were friendly; I get it you live in Honolulu daily so you're used to it, but the rest of us are primarily on vacation (particularly in Waikiki) and you own or service a customer facing business. They have a few tables outside, where you can enjoy your order however, since I stayed at the nearby hotel, I just took it back to the room.

5 rounded down to 4.5. Fast service, reasonable prices, and great dole whip. I ordered two dole whips on a weekday afternoon and they came out almost immediately! I did notice they also had a variety of flavors which is nice. They have self serve utensils and napkins and it's a short walk from the beach. Clean spaces to sit and eat if you like also, it's just tucked away in a small plaza that I can picture getting crowded.

Convenient spot for shaved ice, acai bowls, and more if you're staying at the hotel beside it or walking along the street! The shaved ice was a little hard and not as smooth as other spots, but it definitely satisfies your craving! Service was pretty fast though and there's seating outside.

During our 6 day trip to Oahu, we came to this spot twice because we liked it so much and it was close to our rental. The acai bowls were so good, one of the best we've had during our trip. Tasted really fresh and came out quickly. The waffles were also tasty. It's a shack style, you walk up to and order then pick up when they call your number. There are a couple of tables and chairs outside available to use.

Yummy flavors and only $1 for dole whip which is soft serve ice cream and it's a very big serving for $1 do def get it on top. The ice cream was already melting when they gave it to us. But it was tasty. And the shaved ice had some consents milk in it, but the ice was a little jumpy and not soft, so we had to break it down with our forks and spoons to make it slushy. Overall tasted yummy with the fresh fruit like mango and pineapple..

Don't walk too fast, or else you will miss this little hidden gem on the strip of Waikiki. Came here on a whim while coming back from a walk and decided to give them a try. I was not disappointed. Unlike other places around Waikiki, Kai's doesn't skimp out on ingredients. I was shocked to see I got strawberries, blueberries and even bananas. (I know its the small things that count) Because of this, the bowl itself is a bit too sweet. I hope the owners can read this and reduce the sweetness of their açaí to allow the fruit flavors to thrive more. They only serve one size but it definitely can be shared. If you were absolutely hungry you can smash this easily, but if you just want to snack on something with someone you totally can do that here as well. Staff were kind, prompt, and fast. My bowl was done before I could even sit down. Highly recommend looking out for this tiny shack!

Kai Fresh never disappoint! This spot is so cool, the food is amazing, the empl are kind, and it's in such a great spot. It's right across the street from the Moana Surfrider Hotel so it's perfect for a snack while wandering around Waikiki. I got the Nutella Açaí Bowl and it was almost too much to finish. I thought the bowl was okay. It wasn't great but it also wasn't bad. I thought the açaí bowls were certainly better than the sunrise shack across the street because they blend their bowls with other fruits, so it tastes a bit watered down. The reason I'd give this a 2 star is because it's more expensive than other places and they don't give you very much. I think this part needs to be revisited. Also, they ended up getting my order wrong. Normally, that's whatever. Everyone makes mistakes, but when I'm paying the price of an entre for a fruit bowl, I can only offer so much grace there I think this place has potential to be an island vintage, but they need to be a little more buttoned up with better prices read more

We have been searching all over Waikiki for the original Dole Whip, which is more of a sorbet than ice cream soft serve. And Kai Fresh has it! The holy grail. We got a free sample just to make sure and we were delighted with this non dairy version. Yum. For tomorrow, we are going to try the açaí bowl for breakfast. read more

Staff was friendly and nice but avoid the açaí bowls unless you want a hard block of açaí. They don't make them to order. They are frozen solid and then fruit put on top. Broke two spoons and gave up to let it thaw. By that point it's just juice. Other things might be good but if you're looking for açaí I'd choose another spot! read more

Great açaí bowl option right in the middle of Waikiki. I got mine without honey because I'm vegan. Was disappointed that they no longer put macadamia nuts on them. A few of the menus online show mac nuts as a topping and I've been surprised at how few açaí bowls have mac nuts here so I was looking forward to this. Now, it's crossed out on the sign. I'm guessing it just got too expensive for them to continue offering this. It was still a delicious fruity treat! The few tables by cart were full, so I took my bowl up by the Sheraton pool bar and enjoyed it up there. read more

You will love their take on Waffles with Fresh Strawberries and Blueberries with a homemade Macadamia Nut Sauce that has the right amount of sweetness. I have never had an Açai Bowl before but I truly recommend this if you are looking for a healthy and refreshing alternative with a generous portions of Bananas, Strawberries and Mango. Cute little shack tucked off the main strip. Came here once to grab a drink. The tea was pretty basic but refreshing with the pineapple juice. Wouldn't mind trying some other drinks from their menu if we had the time. There was a looong line at another nearby shave ice place so we came here since there was no wait. The flavors of the shave ice was fine but compared to a couple other places we've been to, the ice here is noticeably chunkier and not as fine. The plate shaved ice was on is probably not the best as our shave ice melted into soup with like 5 min (and we got shave ice late night too). We noticed a other places we've tried so far put either ice cream/ froyo/soft serve underneath the ice. I think that really helps prevent the ice from melting into a puddle so quickly. If the shop reads this review, maybe consider putting dole whip underneath since you offer it. I think it could be a good spin and help the ice last a bit longer. read more

Kai Fresh is exaxtly what it is....it is FRESH!!!! I really enjoyed everything. All the food was delicious. The Acai bowl was very fulfilling and the waffles were perfect, fluffy but not bready. This is definitely a hole in the wall location. Came in the afternoon to try the shave ice I ordered the ono tropical which is coconut and mango flavored. This place is on the more affordable side for shave ice compared to other shops in pricing and size and they seem to use fruit based syrup instead of the sugar ones. You can also add in dole whip or get a cup. I decided a cup as well since it was hot. Service was fast and both the shave ice and dole whip barely melted when I received it. I noticed they also have coffee and a croissant waffle menu which I really want to try for breakfast one day read more

Don't bother getting their shave ice....on the plus side, they do make their own syrup from real fruit but it only comes in mango, strawberry, pineapple...BUT, it's NOT shave ice...it's a snow cone...large crunchy ice crystals instead of fluffy 'shave ice'. It sucks. read more

This was my favorite "meal" during my stay in Honolulu, and all I had (twice!) was their Dole Whip Bowl, a generous helping of Dole Whip with diced fresh pineapple. The service was always friendly and quick. Seek them out! read more

The kiosk is located by the Sheraton Princess Kaulani, across from the Moana Surfrider hotel. There's always a long line of customers. I ordered the Waikiki iced latte and Hawaiian Waffle. The waffle had great texture which was croissant like and chewy. Service was great and fast. read more

*this review is for the dole whip only* An absolute travesty to dole whip. Not only did this cup of dole whip cost more for the size than others in the area, it was also rancid. You could taste it from the first bite that something was wrong. The rotten flavor of pineapple overpowered the entire cup and it was weirdly icy versus the smooth fluffy texture I'm used to. Do yourself a favor and avoid. read more

I had the Cocoholic crackle and it was delicious! It is about 1/2 of a round, 4 triangle waffle, crispy and covered with the perfect amount of strawberries, banana and chocolate for about $10. It was located across from our hotel, Moana Surfrider. It is a walk up booth with a few tables and chairs to sit. read more

Went here for a quick snack, not expecting much. Got one of their waffles, and it was outstanding! It was given to me as soon as it was made, and was still piping hot by the time I sat at the table.
