I came here to celebrate a friends birthday. It was our first experience with hookah as well. Service: 5/10. For it being our first time and celebrating a birthday. They don't do anything for birthdays. We were a little lost on ordering hookah. The gentleman who came up to us asked us what we wanted and we said it was our first time with hookah. There was no menu for the hookah that was presented. He did set us up with an enjoyable flavor. I believe it had a watermelon taste, however do not know what flavor it was. He did not relay that. We did enjoy the hookah overall. We did not like feeling rushed. Nor did we expect there to be a 2 hour limit to enjoy our dinning and hookah. That was not noted on the reservation or their website. Since we were celebrating we would have enjoyed to stay for a couple more drinks. We felt rushed to finish our drinks and hookah experience and that is what killed the experience for us. There was a gratuity charge for 2 people and, I do not tip on top since the tip they think is appropriate is included. (I would have tipped more ) Bill came out to $385 with gratuity, however if you pay with a card, they charge you an additional $16 and the bill came out to $401 in the end.. (Highly recommend to bring cash.) Atmosphere:10/10. It was a very laid back atmosphere. With floating candles and flame heaters so there was no need for a jacket. Live dj with live instruments being played. We enjoy it. Drinks: 10/10 loved their signature cocktails. Kaif Margarita and Pomegranate Kiss were delicious. We just wished we could have stayed for another round. Food: 5/10 the scallops and black caviar on potato purée. The scallops and caviar were okay. The scallops were small but good. The potato purée was bland and watery. Not the best at all. 8/10 Greek salad: this was good however not what we were expecting. This was a mixed of peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes with 3 pcs of feta. 8/10 calamari: the calamari was delicious. Very small amount for the plate. Refer to the posted picture. Loved the pairing sauces: they highlighted the dish. 10/10 filet mignon steak with the sweet potato purée. This was tender and delicious. We ordered it medium and it came out perfect. With salt, pepper, a full small red pepper and a rosemary leaf for seasoning. The sweet potato puree was perfect as well. (A lot better than the potato puree that came with the scallops.) I came here with my boyfriend for a date night and while the interior is decorated nicely and the music was lively, we were very disappointed with the service. We were seated right in front of the door on a colder night and there was a heavy draft - plus our table was in the corner, next to the bar, and under a vent which dripped on me throughout the night. Despite there seeming to be open tables and asking to switch spots we were told there was no room and the other side of the restaurant was for hooka only. The food was decent, the calamari was a bit rubbery but the drinks were fantastic (old fashioned, and pomegranate kiss) although we saw them sitting on the bar counter for 10 minutes before they were brought to our table. We also ordered the spicy tuna ceviche (decent!), beef skewer (medium, at least some pieces were) and chicken risotto (yummy!) Only after we finished eating, another server asked if we wanted hooka and that if not we could order drinks so we could move toward the fire on the other side of the place. Our original server actually ended up ignoring us to work on what looked to be a project to film content. Beware a 18% gratuity is baked into the bill. read more

I had the best time here catching up with a close friend of mine. The waitress Natalie did an amazing job at breaking down the menu for us first timers. I ordered a drink called a kiss of life with was a vodka based drink with pomegranate goodness. I was surprised for a weekday, it got pretty busy at night. Also if you're into hookah? They have a hookah master on site. They have a dj at night everyday playing lively music! We ordered the cauliflower and beef kampachi which my friend seemed to enjoy. I was a huge fan of the cauliflower, so crispy and flavorful. Finally for our mains, we ordered the chicken kebab and the lamb chops. The chicken kebab was tender and packed with deliciousness, and it was accompanied by their cilantro rice. For anyone that wants to go to a restaurant on the westside where there is both amazing food and a perfect place for Instagram pictures, this is the place! I was in town for work and always love hunting for aesthetic spots I can't find back home -- and if they're halal, that's an even bigger bonus. This place checked every box. I ordered the filet mignon and it was impeccable -- genuinely the best halal steak I've ever had. I even ate the chili pepper it came with, which says a lot for me Their Anis tea was both beautiful and comforting after a long day working an event, and I ended the night with their honey cake... OMG. I genuinely never want to leave SoCal because of this cake alone. I'll actually be back in July for another work event and already told my sister I'm bringing her here with me just so she can experience it too. My wife and I had our 1st wedding anniversary at Kaif a year ago, and now our second. It was Kaif. After tonight's service and relaxed evening, next year is looking like a hat trick is in order. Bella and Nikita were phenomenal. Service really stood out; in the best way. They hooked us up with a double portion of Napoleon dessert, on the house. Overall, a solid evening out, even though it was a school night. Highly recommend to anyone looking for mellow beats, great food and drinks, pleasant and attentive staff, fire pit seating, a Dj that sets a good vide, but doesn't blast the volume so loud that you're yelling into your dates ear. This was my first time here and I genuinely fell in love with the vibes. The music + live entertainment created such a great atmosphere. It felt fun but still elevated. - The borscht was my first time ever trying it. I honestly expected it to be a little bland just because of where the dish originates from, but it was surprisingly flavorful and ended up being my favorite soup I've ever had. - The beef carpaccio was also really good soo tasty and well-balanced. Finally getting the chance to write this review- there was a LARGE RAT in the restaurant. I informed our waiter when I saw it dash across the restaurant. She was extremely rude and was annoyed that I told her. She just said "okay" and partial eye roll- I then informed another girl and she was seemed annoyed there was commotion. It seemed they were already aware there was rats because no staff seemed surprised and had a "what do you want me to do about it" reaction. When the food came out, we asked for the check immediately - didn't even eat a bite. The waitress saw we didn't eat anything and didn't even offer some refund or partial refund. They charge $500 to sit on the left side of the restaurant that they call VIP for Hookah. The atmosphere itself is INSANELY LOUD due to the trance house dance Music thumping like a rave. Had a strange DJ too later in the evening that was even louder. We literally couldn't hear anyone talk. Which left none of us in a place where we even enjoyed the food. This spot is amazing from servers to food to ambiance and I am greatful I caught a reservation a few times now but not sure if it will contiune to be this easy. We were overcharged by $106 -- they added two hookahs instead of one and charged for drinks that were told to us as "on the house." Instead of fixing it properly, they gave partial cash refund instead, so the bill still wasn't correct. On top of that, an 18% tip was added to the incorrect total. A few of my girlfriends decided to try this place out for a GNO. To start the valet is $20 otherwise street parking is available. Upon entering...the vibes are everything. It feels as though you're transported to TULUM. The service was okay. Nothing extraordinary and not bad. We weren't too hungry so decided to order a few appetizers and get a Hookah. Everything was good but my absolute favorite was the afagato night cap. There was a dj playing hits and even a live singer at parts of the night. Their items are on the higher price for example a hookah was $60, lemonade was $19. In addition they do charge $18% service charge on top of the bill.
