    Big Elbow Mac & Cheese

We had a dinner reservation for a party of 2 at 7:00 pm on Thursday, 3/6/25. Complementary valet. We were celebrating a birthday, and they definitely made it special! The host who seated us and our waiter wished us a happy birthday. The free cheesy bread was good, but I wish it was warm! I could've done without the everything-seasoned crackers though. We shared 2 appetizers, we each got our own steak, and we shared 3 sides. We had some leftovers! Here's what we got: - Scallop Appetizer (special, $22): Very good! - Burrata with Prosciutto (special, $15): I wish the burrata was richer, but it wasn't bad! - Barrel Cut Beef Filet, 6 oz. ($45): Had a nice char on it, but I would've appreciated seasoning. - Spinalis, Ribeye Cap (special, $72): Same as above. - Roasted Brussels Sprouts ($10): Very oily; tasted good, but too much oil for our liking. - Truffled Potato Gratin ($10): Fine. - Big Elbow Mac & Cheese ($10): This was our favorite side; super good!! - Warm Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie for 2 (normally $12, but on the house as a birthday treat): OMG, still dreaming of this; absolutely delicious. Our waiter, Michael, was amazing! When he gave us the dessert menu, he said, "We would love if yo would indulge us and let us treat you to a dessert of your choice." I really appreciated this because it took the guessing out of if they would comp the dessert or not and we got to choose the one we wanted!! All-star service. Overall, good food, great service. Good for date night, celebrating special occasions, and for large meat-eating groups. We'd go back!

A great steakhouse. Has great decor which I learned is art from the 2 chefs. Impeccable service. We went for a business meeting and were seated at a nice table in the library area. Placed reservation and management called and made sure we were comfortable and table setting ideal for us . Above and beyond service but greatly appreciated. The food. All executed to perfection. Not one item missed the mark. We had the thick cut bacon, escargot, heirloom tomato salad, shrimp scampi and blue crab apps. Every plate finished. For mains had salmon, duck, halibut and they had a special spinalis steak. The cal of the ribeye that was exquisite. Somm picked a devine Napa cab silenceaux from Venge that everyone loved. One of the best steakhouse dinners in a long time. It's a great version of a tried and true meal format. Go and delight!

I wasn't too impressed with Kaiser's in my visit. I had the opportunity to try a number of different appetizers and entrees, but nothing stood out as especially good. The salmon was cooked perfectly but not overly flavorful. The filet "medium" was a bit overcooked and lacked flavor as well. The fried shrimp, lobster, calamari, and escargot appetizers were all mediocre. The service was impeccable and brought the experience up to a three star overall.

This is a secret gem in ATL! I don't like to tell anyone about this place, but here I am. We have dined in for my birthday since we moved here, and there is nothing stopping this tradition. The menu has something for everyone, including fresh oysters, steak, and other proteins. The ambiance is intimate and sexy. We have had excellent service each time and you can't beat complimentary valet :)

Butternut squash soup, among the best we've ever head. $8 per large bowl.

Let's get the BS out of the way. As in butternut squash soup, a tasty starter served in surprisingly ample bowl. This soup always is a fall favorite so this batch at Kaiser's becomes the favorite favorite. Next up: the sides, served family style. With four in our double birthday party, we retreated to separate corners: Brussel sprouts, big elbow mac n' cheese, mushroom risotto and rice-and-grains. All were shared by the spoonful with enough to include in a take-home box. The entrees: Two went with eight-ounce sirloins so perfectly cooked (and recommended by a respected reviewer in the AJC). A half-chicken was plated -- tasty and with more than enough for lunch the next day (paired with the side leftovers). The night's special was two six-ounce filets. Again, perfect. Add-ons: A bottle of Prosecco, a toast to our recent tour of Italy in June. As we were there on a work night, that bottle was all we'd need. Plus a surprise birthday dessert shared by the table (we had a cake waiting back at the apartment). A tasty pastry with some fresh fruit and a gorgeous "happy birthday" message in chocolate drizzle. The damage: $213 before tip and tax for four (five if you count a great lunch for one of us the next day courtesy of the ample portions). Atmosphere: A gorgeous steakhouse in the confines of the bustling Hammond area in Sandy Springs just off I-285. The heavy use of wood, the open (but protected) booths, the tables, the high energy of clients and staff -- something you'd imagine if visiting Chicago. Bottom line: We'll be back, likely for another occasion but maybe just to get a great dinner, from soup to sides to entrees. While two of us live in the area, two others traveled 60 miles each way -- and would do so again tomorrow.

    Scallops over tomato risotto

Hello, again, from Kaiser's Chophouse! I have another enthusiastic endorsement after our second visit. We arrived with a reservation and were seated at a table near the door. I kept my coat around my shoulders to mute the chill. Our waiter took note and turned up the heat without any prompting. Thank you, Tommy, for the attentiveness! We started with the featured oysters: Irish Points (so fitting on St. Patrick's Day!) and burrata salad (red and golden tomatoes, mozzarella and arugula). The complimentary focaccia bread is delicious! For my entree, I chose the diver scallops atop tomato risotto again. It was so good last time and I was pleased yet again. You can see we chose French fries and asparagus as our sides. We split a piece of key lime cheesecake with a graham cracker crust and garnished with strawberries. Kaiser's is a five-star experience for us - great food and great service make for a great experience!

We went to Kaiser's Chophouse to celebrate my husband's birthday. We were looking for a steakhouse to try and came across Kaiser's on Yelp. The restaurant is located in kind of a busy shopping center parking lot. But the upside is that there is plenty of free parking available. The ambiance inside is nice, and it was pretty busy the whole time we were there. They brought out cheesy bread with whipped butter to start, which was really good. And we each ordered a glass of wine. The sides that we ordered were amazing: truffle scalloped potatoes and jalapeño creamed corn. I would absolutely come back here just for the sides! I ordered the filet and it was cooked how I like, although it had more of a charred flavor than I typically would prefer. My husband ordered the filet special, which came on the bone. He said the meat was good, but felt like too much of it was not edible around the bone, so he wished he would have ordered something else.

Very friendly atmosphere from the time we walked in. Our server Alex was very attentive. The food didn't miss either. Wonderful overall experience.

Definitely a place to be seen and eat well. There's a parking garage but it was full when we got there, so we did valet, which was surprisingly affordable. Service was wonderful. Our server was attentive, helpful, and super knowledgeable about the menu. As for the food, we got: Aguachile de Pescado, which was insane. Super fresh, bright, citrusy, ceviche-like with perfect texture. I would go back just for that. The Hamachi was clean and bright. That avocado sauce tied everything together and gave it some depth without overpowering the fish. The Pork Belly Tostadas were crispy and rich with that smooth avocado mousse and sweet mango salsa balancing it out perfectly. Finally, the bone marrow with steak... so good. I had seen pictures of it before I came and it did not disappoint. The steak was incredibly tender. They bring blue corn tortillas and suggest making a taco with the marrow, steak, and avocado. It's great that way. But honestly, the marrow and steak stand perfectly on their own. Whole experience was excellent. Easily one of my favorite spots in the city now.

Right when we walked in, the staff complained to us that we hadn't called ahead to have a "smaller, special menu" crafted for a large party. To make matters worse, they loudly announced to the whole table right off rip that they wouldn't split checks separately--only an even split. It felt incredibly rude, lazy, and unwelcoming. The irony is that the large group size wasn't even an issue; we staggered our arrivals and the patio was completely empty. The kicker- my brother in law ended up paying the whole tab at the end anyways! so all of that initial laziness & nastiness for NOTHING! Throughout the night, the service felt incredibly rushed and stressed. While we were still eating our appetizers, the busser was aggressively trying to clear our plates because the mains were coming. Our server was very short with us the entire time, which was confusing because the restaurant didn't even have a stressful vibe. She recommended a main dish to me that I really didn't care for, though I will say the salsa was unique and probably the best part of the meal. Shoutout to the one staff member who was actually friendly, but overall, this is not the kind of place where you leave feeling like you had a nice restaurant experience- at least I personally didn't.. Too bad we didn't just go to C&S next door which we always love. Regardless tho, my sister had a blast, but that's entirely because she has a wonderful crew of great friends, not because of Casi Cielo.

You may not be able to park right up front next to the door. I want to say first and foremost the spot has a really good happy hour situation. So you want to take a look at that happy hour menu. You can get a lot for a little when you go. I think I did too much that day LOL! But the happy hour is really good. You can see the stuff that I got below. The service was actually pretty good and was fast so I didn't wait a whole long time to get my food and everybody was really cool and friendly. Brussel sprouts - The brussel sprouts were okay. They came temporary style so they were fried and battered. I'm pretty sure those are ranch dressing that went along with them, or maybe the sauce for the fries was that and sauce, I'm not sure. But they were okay. But I wouldn't rush back to them necessarily. Crispy chicken - The crispy chicken was decent. It came in very large chunks of chicken, kind of like smaller chicken tenders. Nothing out of the box though. They were only so seasoned, nothing got to make your mouth explode LOL Beef chashu bowl - This bowl was good. Kind of reminds me of that. I'm getting your beef kind of flavor. It's basically a rice bowl if you traded the ramen and the broth for rice. And you have that beef and the egg and a couple of other accompaniments, but it's really good or very far too. I kind of a brown sugar teriyaki kind of blend and if you want to know the flavor profile. Spicy chicken ramen - was good. I got it spicy but it's another level above that. If you want more heat. It comes with two chicken in it, and plenty of very good news. The broth is super savory and it will make you tingle a little bit LOL. French fries - The fries are shoestring fries and they're okay. They tell me the sauce. I'm not sure what it is though. But they are decent, nothing pretty out of the box. Even though it's a chain, the ramen is totally worth it.

I came here on a work trip so there was a LOT going on: food buffets, bar mania, games of all sorts. Had I come here with a group of friends to play games and sip on a drink I think I would have had a different (read: better) experience. That said, I appreciate that B&B exists and what it's trying to do. Despite being here as part of a big group, the staff was perfectly lovely and patient. That's not always the case when it comes to dealing with large groups. The food menu is confusingly large and caters to about every taste.* I got a little grossed out at the thought of eating around so much dust. Board games and consoles are dirty/dusty. They show both easily. Eating around/in that didn't appeal to me. What *did* appeal to me, though, was the thought of drinking a potion. From the glass (straight up D&D) to the color (blue), I was all in. The Mana Potion had a lot of the right elements (gin, blue curacao, elderflower liqueur, lemon, and Sprite) but the extra zhuzh for our party was team too much. The edible glitter made the drink a bit thick and didn't do wonders for my stomach. It's a tough criticism because I was here for an extra sparkly drink/potion. Definitely on brand. For me, Battle & Brew is an odd space that could benefit from some editing. But, it looks like I am in the minority. I can agree with not being the target audience. So, gamers, have at it! *I didn't experience much in the way of GF/DF/VG options but, again, target audience.

I was truly excited to try this place because it is such a cool concept. Went yesterday for dinner…read morewith my husband, daughter, and my friend and her daughter. We opted for the board games for $7 so that we could play together at the table while we ate, which is a great idea in theory but the execution left a lot to be desired. Most of the games we tried to play were old, dirty (yuck), and incomplete. For example, we were unable to play Guess Who because both the red and blue lineups were missing people and many of the people cards were torn into pieces. We were able to play What Do You Meme, but it was obvious that most of the meme cards were missing, so we had to stop abruptly when we ran out of new cards. Since people are eating and playing, effort should be made to keep the games clean, or at the very least, provide hand sanitizer at each table so that guests aren't grossed out about handling dirty game pieces in between grabbing bites of their sandwich or other finger food. I just feel like even though $7 for board game play is reasonable, it felt far less justifiable after experiencing the issues I just explained. If you are going to charge people any amount to use the games, ensuring that those games are complete and sanitary seems like a reasonable expectation. Service was okay but most of the food did not even meet the okay standard. We started with mozerrela sticks, which were okay. The fries with all our meals were obviously the frozen bagged kind you can find at any grocery store. They added seasoning but it's not enough to hide the fact that you are eating frozen fries at a sit down restaurant. My husband ordered the Don't Call It Hotlanta chicken sandwich and I think that was probably the best tasting thing we all ordered. I ordered the ATLA with cheese and did not like it very much. The bread was too crispy, the cheese was cold, and the overall flavor just didn't do it for me. My daughter ordered the mac and cheese with a side of fries. It does say on the menu that it is Kraft mac and cheese. She didn't complain, but she's 12 and not too picky so no surprise there. I had a soda water, my daughter had a sprite, and my husband had two mixed drinks (I think margaritas). Our total bill including the $7 for a crappy board game experience came out to $94 before tip. It was not worth it and I would never return for dinner nor can I recommend that others consider this a worthy dinner spot. Nevertheless, it would be a cool spot to come to with a big group of friends to play the computer and video games while enjoying a few drinks and maybe an appetizer or two. I could see that being a fun experience and would be open to returning to play the video games with friends or maybe one of their event nights like trivia that sounds like a good time, but I won't come back specifically for dinner because there are far better place to get a far superior meal for that price around here. So, at the end of the day, two stars is my review for the dinner and board game experience, but it would probably be closer to a 4 for just video games and drinks or events because I don't think there is anything else like it around here. I am not 100% on pricing for the video games but I think I saw something like $20 per hour, which I think might be a little pricey. However, I am not a big gamer myself so I may not be the best judge of that.

As for desserts our favorite was the Persian ice cream sandwich, it has unique flavors with rose being one of them. So good! For parking they offer a combination of valet services and validated garage parking depending on which location you go. The dress code is business casual. It's a perfect place for any accession, I definitely am planning on coming back to try more dishes. Take my word and come check it out! Your taste buds will thank you!

Love this little roof top bar at the AC hotel in the Atlanta area…read more Bambi took great care of us for before we went out to dinner with friends. The views of the Perimeter were beautiful last night and Bambi put on the ceiling heaters which were available since it was chilly last night. Shared a Flatbread with tomatoes arugula mozzarella and basalmic drizzel. It was unexpectedly very good for bar food. Vino: Beringer cab Although they offer a full bar . Plenty of seating inside and out on the 7th floor . Worth a visit if staying at the AC or in the area opened 5pm to 11pm.

A pretty dope vibe and view. This is one of two rooftop type bars in Dunwoody. The other is a…read moresports bar so it kinda doesn't count to me lol. This is on the roof of the AC hotel. The hotel itself, if you walk through, is clean and well tender to. There is a bar on the main floor as well...but why do that when you can get a view instead?! The bar area is pretty nice sized. The bar top can fit about 10, but there is other seating all around the room. There are tables and kind of plush areas to sit, but the big draw is the outside. The view looks right at the busy area of Dunwoody and you can see the skyline of other cities around it too. The ambience is chill, not your typical turn up type of spot. They have music playing and a few large TV's as well. Aiden took care of me soon as I sat down. She was friendly and made sure to give me good conversation while I waited. Irish espresso martini - she did good with it. Good presentation and very balanced. Peri wings (lemon pepper) - they were aight. Nothing super crazy to write home about. They were a little small as well. Pretzel bites - They were pretty good. A decent snack, but nothing that I would rush to try again. Overall, I would come for the views and the vibes. Probably wouldnt say to plan to be here for the food, but a cocktail with that view would be clutch!

Service service service…read more Can I say more? Our server at the bar was Andreas was outstanding. He was personable, customer oriented and able to handle a large volume of customers with ease. We found ourselves at the Agave Bandido to attend a birthday gathering in the secret speakeasy (located upstairs) but initially dined downstairs. We ordered street corn and steak nachos. Both were excellent and served piping hot. The steak nachos were by far my favorite. Lots of toppings and the steak was tender. The order is so large three of us were able to share them with some left over. The street corn is served on the cob and was flavorful and served with a side of lime I will add my review of Maya Speak Tisi on a separate posting

They have an "88 Health Score", but none of their violations is "Standard not met: Insects,…read morerodents, and animals NOT present", so I can live with that. I was a little late on the introductions, so I missed the names of our server and the hostess, but BOTH were awesome!! The food was excellent (The guacamole was made fresh at the table, to our specifications - You can't beat that, right!!??), with a nice ambiance and their prices are sufferable. They have multiple "FREE" parking decks available for the area's establishments, so in comparison to downtown or Midtown, that's absolutely a plus!! Agave Bandido deserves some additional decimal points, to push them up closer to a "5", but since that's not an option, a "4-star" review it is...I'd absolutely make a return visit or 2!!

Block & Drum is an incredible space with lots of events throughout the week. They have a classy…read moreinside part which usually has chairs and seating, then they have a giant outdoor space with a huge screen, green turf space, and more seating. They set up multiple bars for bigger events so you don't have to wait on line for long, and they typically already include tax and gratuity automatically. They've switched to valet parking only, or at least for the event I went to. It was $15 but they say you can park for free at the Walmart down the road.

I opted to park at the Wal-Mart and wasn't as familiar with the trail so I took the street route. Well-light and populated for safe crossing. The venue is very open and was relatively empty since we arrived shortly after it opened. I love the indoor seating concept with plenty of couches, movable chairs, tables near the open-area space and smaller sections for 2-4 people tucked away along the wall. The DJ was already doing his thing and the bartenders remained busy. As someone who wasn't interested in the drinks, I appreciate that there was a self-serve water cooler in the center of the room. The Jenga and jumbo Uno cards were a hit!!!! It was so nice to have these options available. And as others mentioned, the large screen was playing a classic movie - which we could still see from inside. I didn't stay long and this was a Sunday night but the parking lot was much busier when I left. I imagine the outdoor space gets crowded later in the evening as well. The DJ was just okay - not my cup of tea - but folks seemed to be enjoying themselves. I can definitely see why this place is popular. Although parking is less than desirable, it is not unreasonable. The venue is well-lit and easy to move around. The crowd was diverse, with various ages and backgrounds represented. And depending on the DJ, this would be a great place for meeting with friends, date night or just zoning out to some wonderful music ... especially on a beautiful night. If you're in the mood for something different AND don't mind the trek to Chamblee, check it out.
