Phenomenal chicken korma curry (5/5 stars), great garlic naan (5/5 stars), good kofta (4/5 stars), good pakora (4/5 stars), and another good curry (4/5 stars). Unfortunately the mango custard was a 1/5 stars for me. We split it four ways, and none of us had more than two bites of it. I'd describe it as puréed pumpkin: the texture varied from dry to wet, stringy to smooth, and overall was nothing like what I expected (a dairy/forward or ice cream or egg-y dessert).

I ordered Kalia to go for dinner. Like many of the reviews, the restaurant was empty. However, the service was great and staff were friendly. Garlic basil naan: delicious piece of naan however the garlic was relatively bland and I couldn't pick it up. The naan itself was delicious, light, and fluffy by itself though. Tikka masala with chicken: generous portion of white meat chicken. The chicken didn't seem to be cooked in the tikka masala as the center of it was completely white but that makes sense as you can adjust the proteins. The flavor of the tikka masala was heavy with tomato - it almost seemed like the only ingredient was tomato. Overall an okay spot for Indian food but it doesn't seem authentic.

This place is such a gem. I've been here twice now and both times the service and food were fantastic. The food is super flavorful, served fresh, and comes out to you quickly. The servers I had were incredibly friendly and attentive. The ambiance is nice, it's a small restaurant so it's not super noisy or hectic. They usually have some sort of video playing softly in the background on a large TV, one time it was an Indian musical and another time it was an ASMR video of a guy preparing food on a frozen lake. If you're looking for a quiet, local, hole-in-the-wall gem of a restaurant to eat some incredible food, this is the place to try. We'll be back here quite a bit.

We were looking for something close that had reasonably priced Indian food. This plan popped up! We loved the naan and rice, the aloo gobi was pretty tasty and good amount of spice. The butter chicken was a tad salty for us. We ordered take out, it was super quick, they were nice and kept our food warm. Super nice person who served us.

Stopped in for a weeknight dinner and sat ourselves down quickly. The server was very kind and nice we felt welcome. Just an FYI this place takes spice seriously - we did 4/6 level spice and it definitely packed the heat! Its a very simple interior (no AC). Samosas - delicious and pipping hot! only comment is that they did not have the green mint chutney but they did have tamarind. Aloo Gobi - the best aloo gobi I have had in Seattle. Finally an aloo gobi that has a saucier consistency! it was delicious. Chicken tikka masala - generous portions of chicken in a delicious masala sauce. Naan - it was too good, my only complaint is that I wish it was bigger like some of the other naan's in the Seattle area. No problem - we ordered another one.

Chicken Tikka Masala. Flavorful sauce and good cuts of chicken

Sushi, hibachi, seafood, dim sum, noodles, salads, American comfort food for the unadventurous -- it's all here. And then there's the monstrous dessert island in the center, stacked with cakes, ice cream, bubble waffles, fruit, a chocolate fountain, and more things than you can reasonably justify eating in one visit. The seating area looks like it could handle a small stadium crowd, yet the flow is shockingly smooth. Even with hundreds of people inside, the buffet lines never feel chaotic -- unless lobster or crab legs appear, at which point all laws of physics and courtesy temporarily stop applying. The one real weak spot is the bathrooms. It's obvious the staff focuses their energy on flipping tables and keeping the buffet spotless, because the restrooms don't get the same attention. They're not disastrous, but they're definitely the least polished part of the experience. Large parties and celebrations are almost always happening -- sometimes several at once -- but they're impressively non‑disruptive. The place is loud, lively, and busy, but never in a way that ruins your meal.

The kitchen seemed to be no one in it, the only two server had to walk through all store, and the second round of all you can eat seafood boil took almost 40mins. Although the server sincerely apologized, but it is still very confusing that why seafood boils could take that long time. The chowder was great, but it didn't come with crackers. Also about the flavors, cajun garlic is too sweet, Thai chili and house special similar with a sour & spicy taste. The house special is too sweet. They seem use frozen seafood and the second round of seafood had some smell. The first round had way too much small crab legs. The floor is a little bit sticky. And it seems that they don't have a drink menu. I hope they could do better because I really like seafood and hope there are more great seafood restaurants in Seattle. So, I still give a 3 stars rating for encouraging them to do better.

One of the two people behind the bar was brand new to being a bartender. I know it's hard to find employees they days but it was ridiculous to have someone brand new serving on game day. If you're going to do this I suggest a limited drink menu. Bottles & cans of beer and simple mixed drinks that don't take long to make. And for the wait for a table a couple that arrived after us was seated before us. As mentioned before a wait time sign would be a good idea. Also the host kept leaving the host stand and people would simply walk in. A sign saying wait to be seated would be good. Finally on to the food. The fish of the fish and chips were very small. More like nuggets than filets of fish. I had asked for an extra tartar sauce when placing our order and didn't receive it. Had to flag down a server to get another. Also ordered water we never received. The fried shrimp were tasty and while the bed of greens was a nice touch since we didn't receive silverware and there wasn't dressing it was a complete waste. I pointed out the trip hazard to a manger and she did cover it with a rug. This was a good temporary solution but watch out as your leaving that you don't trip.

So off we go to check it out. It's right off the freeway, I forget which one since I'm not driving. The buffet is located in a shopping center with lots of parking. I think there's a Thai restaurant across the parking lot from here. We go in and wow, this is a nicer buffet than most other one's I've been to. The dining area is very large and clean. I see the prices on a sign. Looks like about $30 for dinner, plus they add the tip of 10%. I guess that's about standard to leave for a tip at a self serve buffet. We get seated and head up to the buffet. Looks like they have a big sushi section and a Mongolian grill section as well. Looking at all the food, I'd say the quality is better than most buffet I go to in CA. The dishes just look better. I'm gonna say in general, the food in the Seattle is a higher quality and more foodie oriented than down where I live. I even tried some of the sushi and it was seemed as good as any all you can eat place. Normally sushi at a buffet is something I avoid. I had ribs and some shellfish seafood and various other American Chinese foods. I did see a few more authentic dishes that I couldn't exactly tell what it was, so I guess it means it was authentic! The price was a little higher than what I'm used to, but the quality and size of the buffet made it worth it.

Because they charge the 10% upfront, it really felt like the servers weren't motivated to check on tables. My hot water cup stayed empty most of the meal, and I couldn't find anyone to refill it. The dim sum area was also mostly empty. Chicken feet, shrimp dumplings, and other items were gone for long stretches, and some dishes looked like they hadn't been refreshed in a while. Several entrées were empty and not refilled promptly. They also charge extra for soda, coffee, and tea, which adds even more to the cost. If you live on the Eastside and want Chinese food with some sushi without driving far, this place is convenient. But if you have time, I'd skip this and go to Feast Buffet in Renton -- it's much bigger, has way more variety, includes drinks in the price.
