Just passed my road test on the first try. Tony Brito was my instructor, and our five on the road sessions were very helpful. I'm disabled, so had to get acclimated to modified controls. Tony is well-versed in DMV testing procedures, and he was a huge help today at the DMV as well (I took my road test in Kanor's car.) Very prompt, and worked out lessons that were significantly more rigorous than the actual test, so I felt very prepared. Not cheap, but worth the cost. read more

My instructor was AWESOME!!! Very detailed, very kind, didn't freak me out. I took a two hour refresher course and learned a toooon of things. There is a lot our friends and family don't teach us. The instructor really made the best of the two hours and taught me how to correctly drive on side streets and highway. Taking one more refresher for the highway because it's so worth the money - beats having my mom yell at me again lol. read more

Kanor is so disorganized. Sat on hold for 12 minutes in order to be told that the completion certificate wasn't given because a cancellation fee of $45 was never paid. I told them that I would be right in to pay this astronomical fee and get the certificate. The lady took 5 minutes to charge my card and the other lady that was going to make the certificate was in the bathroom......for 10 minutes. Then she said that "an instructor " needs to sign it and they are not here right now!! Wtf! Never use Kanor...they are the worst! Both my daughter and son had Pamela and Frank. They were very patient and gave my kids the confidence they needed to pass their driving test on the first try. This review is long overdue. Been using this service for both my sons a couple years ago. Both pass their driving test & both have their license now. I recently use this service for myself cause I needed some fresh up session cause I haven't been behind the wheel for a few years. Got 2 2 hours sessions. First session was with Frank & he was a little confuse why I needed this session cause I'm not a new driver. He took me to a place that was challenging for me with lots of curves & turns. He was so patient & I had so much. Second session was with Pam. I told her that I wanted to drive on the freeway & that was exactly what we did. I love her advice & way of thinking. I'm glad I made the choice because they were very easy to work with and very professional. We were able to make her appointments easily and all within a 1 week time frame. The instructors were professional and very helpful in explaining things to my child. They were on time sometimes even early and always contacted us to let us know if they were going to be early or a little late. The first instructor Beverly, was very patient and understanding. My second instructor was rude, impatient and was often unkind in our lessons. This instructor made learning to drive very unpleasant. But Kanor promptly mails you your certification and helps you improve through an application called Drive Scout, which is nice for new drivers. read more

I came from the Philippines and it was really tough to look for a patient and understanding driving instructor here in Cali but soon as i met Tony B (Antonio Brito) everything changed. He was such a cool guy and very friendly. I would never pick any other instructor other than him. This driving school is AMAZING!! The lessons are totally worth the investment. My instructor, Toni, was awesome and he really helped me with my driving skills and eased my anxiety. I had the 3 two hr driving lessons with him and the brush up lesson + behind the wheel drivers test, and he corrected my mistakes while driving and gave me helpful tips to pass my behind the wheel test. He told me exactly what they were expecting of me and gave me every confidence I needed to pass. If it weren't for him, I definitely wouldn't have passed my behind the wheel test the first time! THIS IS JUST A REVIEW REGARDING THEIR ADMINISTRATIVE PEOPLE IN THE OFFICE. I called them a day before my test asking if they have someone available to come with me to the DMV. They, unfortunately, don't have any availability but the effort they did to check until after office hours made me feel I was their priority. Great service and really easy to make and get appointments. First two - 2 hour sessions my daughter learned the basics so that she didn't kill me while getting her hours in. My driving instructor, Gustavo, performed an excellent job. When I did something wrong, he'd just gently tell me - and then have me do it again until it was correct. He performed an excellent job. I called every driving school you can think of and they were all too expensive, or didn't include freeway in the first 6 hours, and the list goes on. Kanor is inexpensive and will take you on the freeway if they think you are ready! Deanna was my instructor for all three lessons, and I HIGHLY recommend her! She was so sweet, professional, and really easy to connect with and learn from! I was able to make all of my appointments just one week ahead of time which was nice because my schedule can be hectic and unpredictable, versus other schools that are booked up months in advance. Another thing that I liked was that Deanna simulated how the day of the test would be for me, which was very helpful! I have yet to take my driving test, but Deanna has given me complete confidence that I will pass with ease! read more
