previously gave a very poor review to this school because of a scheduling/no show issue! Now I am giving a good review because of how they fixed the problem. I received a call back from them (from their emergency line) in a very timely manner and she was able to send me out on a lesson same day just with a different driver, and offered a free lesson. I still believe customers should have a way to contact their instructors should a situation like mine occur again, but the point is they fixed the problem and were very understanding. I needed to practice before my DMV test a couple weeks ago, so I called up Kanor driving school because they had a deal where you can practice with them an hour before your driving test AND use their car for the test. The lady I had was really nice and definitely helped me refine my driving skills for the test. read more

I am new in California and they said drive test is not easy. For some, it would took them 3 to 5 driving test to passed. Then I thought of enrolling in a driving school just to make it passed one shot. Just an hour of driving lesson from Kanor was a great experience. after an hour of driving instructions, my driver Antonio, drove me to DMV and I used the same car as well as the car insurance or financial liability to take the test. I flunked my first btw test and then was referred to Kanor. My instructor was Gustavo and what a blessing it was to have him guide me through all the ins and outs the DMV expects from you. His instructions were easy to follow, his patience was unending and his professionalism outstanding. At my next try, I only had 4 errors out of the 20 you are allowed and did my happy dance! My son took his initial 6 hr behind the wheel lessons with another company. The driver seemed ok, but I wasn't impressed with what, if any, improvements my son had made. So, a couple of weeks before he was scheduled to take his btw test at the DMV, I got 6 hrs more of instruction with Kanor. Gustavo came to our door on the first meeting and gave me more info than I ever heard from the last guy. After my son's 1st lesson with Gustavo, he said he was"10,000 times better than the first guy!!" I saw immediate improvement in things my son was have a little trouble with! We had a great 6 hour behind the wheel experience! My daughter had Moises for 2 of the 3 sessions and she really enjoyed his calm & patient attitude. She applied what she learned from Moises when practicing with me. We also took advantage of their Driving Test Service so she got to practice with Moises before the exam and get a refresher. She said she really felt prepared and was confident she would do well on her driving exam & she passed with flying colors! I highly recommend Ian, a Kanor Driving Cypress instructor. An hour before my test, he assessed very well my driving performance and corrected my errors. PLEASE READ:This may be long but hopefully this will be your deciding factor when choosing a driving school. Hi my name is Michael Joseph Lim and this school is truly as good as it gets. This review may be biased b/c this is the only driving school I have attended, but from my 1st hand experience and from what I have heard from my friends from different driving schools, this school deserves 11 out of 5 stars and no exaggeration. I attend Oxford Academy High School, close by to Kanor but I live 10 miles away in Anaheim, either way, the distance was not a problem as every appointment I have scheduled was on time at the exact location. As a junior, I have been burdened by many classes, extracurricular activities, sports, and life in general meaning that I have not much time to work on something extra such as driving. My mom is a single parent and doesn't have much time as well. I was having trouble finding a driving school that can accommodate my schedule and help my mom help me practice driving as much as I can in order to pass my test. Of all the driving places that I have looked at, nothing stood out to me more at the first time for some reason than Kanor, so I decided to give it a shot and walked in to schedule an appointment with my mom which was surprisingly fast compared to other schools, I also found Kanor's hours pretty reasonable and convenient. We ended up buying the package that was 540$ for 12 hours. Although it seems a little pricey, don't let the numbers mask the service it provides, I could've bought the small packages but due to the circumstances I face such as a busy schedule and single parent, shelling out some more money wasn't a bother if you can afford it and it is well worth the amount. The cars you use are nice quiet hybrids that are clean and have dual controls (the ability to break and accelerate from the passenger seat. So if you don't have the confidence at first, knowing that they have a professional at your back at any given moment will hopefully boost your confidence in driving) I found that the car's were super easy to control, the first lesson was my first time driving and I was able to pick it up fairly quickly, moving on to driving in the streets and then on the next lesson, I was already driving smoothly on the freeway. The first 3 lessons I had, I was with Frank, being an ex-driving examiner at the DMV, he knew his stuff. He was very patient, knowledgeable, helpful, and guides you at literally every second He taught me pretty much the basics and the controls of driving. The second instructor's name was Ian and I had him for my last three lessons. Ian is a really nice person, he was able to keep me calm up until my exam which i had scheduled 2 and a half weeks from my first initial driving lesson. He refined my driving skills adding the more technical aspects of driving that I needed in order to pass and to be a safe driver. All and all a really good person with a really great personality, someone I wouldn't mind going on a road trip with. I found myself with two really great instructors, both very professional behind the wheel, honestly think they have thee very best instructors when in comes to driving in terms of mentality, personality, safety, technically etc. I found myself calling them a lot of times due to rescheduling conflicting scheduled events that I have going on and confirming my appoints. I felt bad for calling them too many times but I am happy they were always very friendly to accommodate to my needs when picking up my calls and work around my time picking me up from school and dropping me back at school or picking me up from school, driving to my DMV location, or driving me home. On the day of my exam, it turned out my mom wouldn't be able to drive me to the exam (good thing because we would both be freaking out) so I ordered the package for them to take me to the exam from wherever I was and use their car for the exam. They picked me up on time an hour before the exam and went straight to my DMV appointment (at fullerton which for some reason has been flagged as notoriously hard from what I have heard form my friends) and practiced one last time. Gratefully I had Ian as my instructor from Kanor to take me who really calmed me down. He knew a lot of the instructors from the DMV already and pointing out things I needed to watch out for. The test examiner for the driving exam I got already had knowledge of Kanor and how good of a school they are telling me that I knew what to do. After a mile in my test examiner said "you already know what to do, just drive" and sure enough found myself passing the easiest test of my life. Can't appreciate and express enough the hard work Kanor does for student drivers. W/o them, I wouldn't have this moment that many take for granted. read more
