Not only was he friendly and welcoming, but he took the time to explain some of the history of the bar and recommend several tequila-based cocktails that turned out to be fantastic. His knowledge and customer service were so good that I specifically looked for him on my next two visits. The views at Cityscape are incredible, with different perspectives of San Francisco depending on which side of the bar you're on. Yes, the drinks are on the pricier side, but between the quality, atmosphere, and unbeatable views, they're well worth it. One thing I really like is how easy it is to visit. Just walk into the Hilton Union Square, head to the elevators, and go straight to the 46th floor--no check-in or hassle required. A big shoutout to Jose for making every visit memorable. I noticed several people were vaping outside, yet only one person was singled out by a host and very rudely told, "DON'T DO THAT." The issue wasn't that they were asked to stop. It was the tone and the fact that multiple other people were doing the exact same thing without being addressed. I've been to several rooftop bars here in San Francisco and in other cities, and unfortunately this was by far one of the worst service experiences I've had. I realize the last time I was here was pre COVID, when this rooftop was Everdene at the Virgin Hotel. I was here for a company event back then, and the experience from then to now is truly night and day. Beautiful views, but the service really took away from the entire experience.

I finished my drink and was about to leave, thinking they forgot about my chips/dips because no one had ever said anything to me about them. They were brought out just as I was about to close my tab, so I hung out a little longer. It was decent, solid hot spinach/artichoke dip with extra cheese on top. I really liked my drink and might come back for another one, or something in a cat mug! Friendly, laid-back vibes.

Newly revamped Japanese restaurant inside the hotel Nikko, the decor is much more upscale and hip, there was a DJ that added to the fun lounge atmosphere, it didn't feel like a hotel restaurant, the staff was friendly and accommodating! I thought the lobster meat itself was pretty dry, and there was wayyyy too much mayo that overpowered the fish. It tasted more like straight mayo than any kind of sauce. I also ordered a side of salmon nigiri, which I really liked. I ordered a few glasses of white wine and had a nice solo date. I'd rate this restaurant as OK... I had a good time and left full, and I know rents in downtown SF must be steep, but I didn't feel like the quality/portions matched what I paid for them.
