The aesthetic of this place is very nice. Great for date night or gno. Our server was so kind, efficient, and knowledgeable. We went for Restaurant Week and got the hamachi starter, surf and turf dinner and a dessert for $70. It was all delicious! Will be back.

Amazing vibes and ambiance with delicious sushi and even tastier drinks! if you're ever in San Francisco in downtown Fidi or Embarcadero try Ozumo you won't be disappointed.

Pretty good sushi spot! The scallop roll we ordered was not good though, everything else was pretty solid though. I really enjoyed the poke tower, hamachi appetizer, crispy rice appetizer, salmon avocado, negitoro, tekka mango. Fish was quality was really fresh and good. Pricey spot but what spot isn't in SF nowadays. The price justifies the I'd go back though and maybe try the preset menu, my friend got it and it looked like a great deal. The service was kinda meh, they took really long to take our orders and seemed to neglect us a bit. I liked the upscale and loungey vibe of the spot. I'd probably come back!

The chirashi bowl was delicious, it is nicely made with fresh sashimi, shrimp and lumps of crab. It is just enough for a quick meal. They have a lot of food choices. The service was excellent. The place is beautiful and the bar is very clean and open. I recommend visiting this place if you want a relaxing experience.

Ozumo is a great spot for a business happy hour or dinner. They have the bar up front and more restaurant-style seating in the back of the restaurant. Conveniently located in the embarcadero. Appetizers and sushi rolls were all fresh. We had the following: - chicken kaarage - garlic edamame - agedashi tofu - miso cod - hamachi appetizer - eggplant Restaurant is nice and modern and service was really nice.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but the sheer lack of effort put into this meal compelled me to warn others. Calling what we were served "soup" is an insult to the concept of cooking. It was essentially warm, unseasoned water with a single, sad piece of seaweed floating in it. My dining partner and I had to use the table's soy sauce just to give the broth a basic level of seasoning and edibility. To make matters worse, two orders of ribeye shabu came with 8 pieces of meat. For what they are charging, the value is honestly shocking. I could easily recreate this exact "culinary experience" at home using random leftover meat, vegetable scraps, and a pot of plain boiling water. I have had bad food before, but bad food usually implies that a chef at least tried to cook and made a mistake. This meal lacked any semblance of effort or care. It is, without a doubt, the most profoundly disappointing dining experience I can recall. Save your money, stay home, and boil some water--you will accidentally make something better.

We were here with a large group of 20 people and we had an enjoyable evening, but a couple of the dishes didn't live up to expectations however. The niku maki (wagyu with spinach) wasn't a favourite - I found the spinach to be overpowering. The black cod dish, which was sold to us as 'what they are known for' wasn't great. We ordered two of them and the dishes looked very different to each other, one of the cods was much more charred than the other. The sauce for both looked different too, which was interesting. But we did love the dohyo (spicy tuna tartare), the glazed edamame had an amazing smell to it and tasted just as good. The fried chicken was also a winner. The service was excellent for such a big group at a busy time and we didn't spend any time waiting around. We would come back, but would probably try some of the other dishes.

Went here on Tuesday for the first time and it was very good. It was pretty busy for a Tuesday night. Our reservation was at 7 and almost all the tables and seats at the bar were taken. We stayed there for almost 2 hours and after 8 it started to clear out. When I say it was busy I had to raise my voice just to talk to the person right next to me. We got a table in the very back where you could see the Bay Bridge and the piers. We ordered multiple things off the menu. Our favorites were the unagi (eel) sashimi, the wagyu roll and the tuna cones. Least favorites were the Buritori Nigiri (yellowtail belly) and the crispy rice. I ordered the crispy rice because I seen other people on here ordered it but to me it was just hard rice with warm tuna tartare Overall it was a good meal and good atmosphere but most of the items on here you can get at any sushi restaurant for half the price and it's just as good. It was $14 for 2 pieces of sushi when you can get a whole roll for $16. I love sushi but there's a point where it can only be so good. I think the bill came out to be about $190 for 2 people. We were full by the end of the meal but we had to keep ordering more to get there. I would probably come back for happy hour if I'm in the area and craving sushi

Came here with my friend for lunch on a Monday and got seated right away. We each ordered the ume nigiri assortment and a scallop roll to share. The nigiri were all good but the scallop roll was the star of the show. Scallop and avocado were both buttery and melt in your mouth. Service took a while since they forgot we ordered the scallop roll after serving us the nigiri. Prices are what you would expect. If you are in the area and craving Japanese sushi, this is a good spot. A lot of business folks come here to eat since it's quiet and a nice restaurant located by the water.

Lobster roll is delicious, and the scallops are divine. The hotate rolls were very on point. The vibe is lovely and the service was unmatched. This place has been here for over 20 years and it does not disappoint. We got a seat right away but the place was packed so we got lucky. I would make reservations if you can.

we tried the sushi tasting and it was okay, but I'm not a huge fish fan so maybe I should've not ordered that. Some were better than the other but the hand roll was very good so I would order that by itself again! we also had cocktails and they were so good! overall I think it was good and the restaurant was pretty but I don't think I would go again.

Ryan served us at the bar and he was fabulous he came through with the recommendations. Let me tell you about the Kani korokke which was a star it was this little perfectly fried breaded ball filled with crab meat and a few kernels of corn. Then the hand rolls both the ebi tempura and the spicy toro were amazing the dumplings huh I could do without. Get the spicy Tokyo Vice we were stuffed m. Ryan was so on it and assisted with recommendations and made sure to check on us frequently. That all day happy hour on Fridays is something to definitely check into.

Came to ozumo for lunch on a Monday with coworkers. Was not crowded and we were seated instantly. Service was very attentive. We got a few rolls to share as well as a bunch of nigiri. I thought the nigiri was very good, fish was very fresh. Sushi rolls were good too, nothing crazy. My favorites were the salmon trio (nigiri) and the ozumo roll. In my opinion the rolls were a bit too expensive for the quality, but still very good. Would eat here again!

There are also very high quality pantry goods to peruse and purchase, including pasta, mustards, spices, tinned goods, etc. Onto the meat: I preordered late this year so got 21 day aged prime rib roast (would usually aim for 45+ days), but honestly it was hard to tell the difference. I ordered the roast pre seasoned, cradled and tied for ease and it was very high quality, easy to cook and delicious. I've picked a preferred knife before, but never a salad fork! the food of course, is legendary. it was personally 100% worth the hype, and we left feeling stuffed. the price is high but worth every penny, and we had plenty of leftovers. the meat was well cooked and very tender. our only complaints are i thought the Yorkshire pudding was a little too chewy and the creamed spinach was a little too salty. the mashed potatoes were definitely not the star of the show, but they worked well in the overall composition of the plate. the baked potato was not just stuffed, it was overloaded! the creamed corn was buttery and not too heavy handed with the cream. we both opted for the House of Prime Rib cut, but there's a smaller "City Cut" and a hefty "King Henry VIII Cut", which if you finish, you can get a second COMPLIMENTARY helping!! my husband is renowned for his healthy appetite but felt that with all the fixings, the regular cut was more than sufficient. if you plan to prioritize the King Henry VIII cut, skip the sides to focus on finishing the meat, as the sides are large portions that fill you up before the main event. dessert was a MUST as they have a large selection of desserts that are nearly impossible to choose from because they all sound so good! we opted to have the waiter choose for us and we ended up with the crème brûlée and strawberry shortcake, which were both amazing. the crème brûlée was the best I've ever had, with perfectly caramelized sugar that was somehow not too sweet, and the strawberry shortcake was light and fluffy with fresh strawberries and what I suspect was house-made syrup. dare I say the prices were actually extremely reasonable for the amount of food you get? keep trying your luck to get the elusive reservation - it's well worth the wait!

A charming little bistro inspired by the Marlowe cows, I'm assuming, managed to stun us with several memorable dishes. The warm deviled eggs were an excellent start. Savory yet delicate enough to not weigh us down right at the beginning of our meal. The horseradish aioli wasn't for me, but I can see its appeal for a certain audience. You give me a Calabrian chili sauce and it's guaranteed to make me happy and this shrimp with sweet corn was no exception. Again, light but a punchy flavor that was enjoyable. I could go on and on about the different dishes we tried but the real standout of the night was the pork tenderloin with chorizo and peaches. The sweetness from the peaches somehow managed to enhance the flavor of the chorizo. This dish gives you a bold, savory and sweet bite all together but still won't have you feeling super heavy. The portion size is perfect. Im hoping to return soon for another exquisite meal.

I wanted to take her to one more nice place before heading back home. Chef Tyler Florence's Miller & Lux next to the Chase Center in Mission Bay seemed like the best option. Parking was a bit challenging, as the spots across the street from Miller & Lux were five minute passenger loading only after 6pm. So I had to park in the stadium garage, which took about 10 minutes to find a spot and walk all the way back to the restaurant. From the moment we were escorted upstairs from the bar area, the service was top notch. Very congenial and accommodating. More importantly, my mom felt well-taken care of by the staff. They gave us our choice of a central booth or smaller table next to the expansive window overlooking Mission Bay. As we are both light eaters, we decided to share an order of the Filet Mignon and Tableside Caesar. After the soufflé-like bread puff and butter appetizer, the salad specialist rolled up his cart next to our table. He got busy mixing together mustard, Worcestershire sauce, shaved Parmesan, and several other ingredients then tossed it with neatly trimmed lettuce. Finally, he topped each salad with candied Meyer lemon, more shaved Parmesan, thin croutons and plump anchovies. There was also lemon zest dashed around the rim of the plate. I ate each leaf while instead of cutting it. Seemed easier that way. It had a nice balanced taste and was one of the better Caesar salads that I've had. The Filet Mignon was a bit rarer than the medium rare we requested. It had almost an Akami tuna like texture inside, which is not what you'd expect from beef. Possibly some aging broke it down to make it that smooth. They were very accommodating to take it back and fire it on the grill a little longer. It came back with the perfect amount of doneness. The horseradish sauce we added gave each bite a nice cream and spicy kick. We had an ode to the now extinct Orange Julius' signature flavor, orange and cream in the form of a soft serve sundae topped with a sugary macaroon and tart tangerines. It definitely brought back some memories. Thanks to the staff for making dinner for me and my mom a pleasant and enjoyable experience with their hospitality. For an upscale steakhouse and seafood establishment with exceptional service, Miller & Lux is a great option in the City.

We were greeted by the sommelier who opened up the wine bottle we brought and also made some recommendations. She also brought over the champagne cart and I started the evening with a glass of the Collet Brut which was crisp and refreshing. A perfect palate cleanser to start off with the appetizers. The complimentary pop over is still one of the most delicious treats ever! It was brought over with a classic butter and a flavored butter that were just to die for. Now of course, the caesar salad is still a must here!! Prepared tableside this is part show, part experience, and full flavor bomb. I love watching the dressing come together and the freshness of every ingredient being used. Just the aroma of the olive oil and parmesan cheese is amazing. The Caesar salad was dressed to perfection and perfectly crisp! Also got the oysters, because they were an absolute knock out the last time we were here. And still one of the best! It is quite literally the cleanest and freshest oyster I've ever had. Our waitress did an amazing job of explaining the whole menu in great detail. For dinner entree, we went with the ribeye, served with bone marrow to split between 2 with a side of the mac & cheese and accompanied with creamed horseradish to give the steak an extra kick. To be honest, that steak needs nothing extra. It is "melt in your mouth" tender and extremely flavor. I love the addition of the bone marrow because it enhances the richness of the steak. The mac & cheese is also very indulgent and rich. We were way too full for dessert so we went with a ball of the espresso gelato and were given complimentary carrot cake bites which were soooo gooodddd. I wish I wasn't full because they're pastry chef is the best! Hands down the place for a 5-star lux dining experience!

Staff: friendly Ambiance: moderately live What a special special place - from the moment I walked in, I was seen and assisted (I don't think I've ever been greeted so warmly!) The diversity of seating and the space are amazing - gentle music dances behind the symphony of a multitude of conversations and the studious clanking of pots and pans from the cooks; all while several sports channels silently dress the tv screens. A solid turn around from order to table and every bite was delicious (I didn't want to miss a crumb!) While eating I observed several groupings of individuals reuniting in what felt like a familiar way - as a first-timer, and solo patron, I felt like I fit in. I'm sure I will find every excuse to revisit and try more on their menu - thank you to all of the staff for curating such a pleasant dining experience.
