    - Came for happy hour - Got the corn ribs, raw oysters, crudo, pork belly, short rib dumplings and japanese milk bread - The corn ribs is literally one piece of corn cut into slices with sauce, don't recommend - The crudo was really good and I loved the dressing - The japanese milk bread was amazing!! Highly recommend - Ambiance was good. Great for dates - Service was friendly

Omg. I loved this place so much!! If I ever went back to Miami and go here! Stumbled upon this listening bar and my husband and I just wanted a chill night with good drinks and good music and this place was it! We sat at the bar and the bartender was so friendly and nice! He asked what we liked and came up with such good suggestions. From the hostess up front to the waiters that served our food to even the DJ, the whole vibe was amazing. The food was so so good, we got the Crudo and dumplings for some light snacks while drinking, and all I can say is...get them! you wont be disappointed. Delicious drinks and food=amazing night.

Kaori Miami was a great dining experience in the middle of Brickell. The staff were fantastic; warm and attentive. The wine list was thoughtfully curated, with a range of interesting selections. The menu leans into Asian-inspired flavors with creative twists. My favorites were the crispy duck salad, which was bold, textural, and well balanced, and the beef tartare, which was rich and flavorful with just the right kick. A chic spot that nails both service and food. I'll be back for the tasting menu.

Super cute spot in brikkel that curates the bar music perfectly. The drinks are unique and it somhar dromchose just one. The gem here are the $1.50 oysters during happy hour. Normally you would pay 3x that. Definitely worth a stop on a happy hour bar crawl or a taking a break while shopping

There's a DJ down stairs but we didn't hear her upstairs which was nice!

I had to give this place 5 stars for multiple reasons. The hype is real so I'll get right to it! Originally we wanted to try this place because of the MiamI Spcie option but since we were a group of 7-8, we couldn't participate since they only do up to 6. Not a problem since we were willing to share a bunch of things. First, the hostess was super sweet and very inviting. She was very accommodating which really made the night start off great. The waiter was also very sweet and very knowledgeable. We ordered drinks and got started ordering a bunch from the menu. I think we got almost one of everything! My faves were the cucumber salad, the gyoza, the fried rice, and the steak on the stone (can't think of the name). But truthfully every dish we had was divine. Truly a 5 star experience. Great ambiance. Great vibes. Food was amazing. Service was amazing. Would love to come back!

I might be setting a record on how many updates I have on a review...but I still get inspired to rave about Kaori after every great experience I have there. This time, went for Miami Spice with family - incredible service from Manuela. Super helpful on recommendations and clearly very passionate about the food. Amazing wine service from Francisco - each selection was beautifully described and always a hit. Don't miss the grilled mushrooms (trust me), the milk bread or the Mee Siam noodle dish. But you really can't go wrong with anything.

Disclaimer is that this was the Miami Spice menu, so the full menu might have delivered more impressively. Portions here were on the smaller side, and were a hit or miss. The presentation was wonderful and ambience was elegant. But the Bahn Mi was so dry and hard that it was difficult to eat. The drinks and desserts were unique and felt like an experience to try. If I were to return I'd likely go for a happy hour and appetizers setting, might be more worth the $$.

Unbelievable food and experience. Obviously I'm no food critic, but I would put this up there with some of the Michelin star restaurants we've visited. The presentation, unique menu, service, quality of food, variety of flavors and textures, all of the above just blew my husband and I away! We've talked about going back at least a dozen times in just the few weeks since we went. If it wasn't for the price tag we would. We had a hard time ranking any of the dishes in order of most to least favorite, even the starter milk bread (don't skip ordering the milk bread). The wagyu (we only did 2oz to try it and it was worth it) , scallops, and soup dumplings were all incredible and tied for equally amazing. The noodles were great but not to the same level of incredible as the rest. 10000% recommend trying this place for a nice date night and is not like some of the other over hyped places in Miami.

I like the vibe of this place because they play good music. The server was relatively attentive. As far as the food, the dumplings were pretty good. The drink tasted like a gin and tonic. I liked the fried rice a lot, but the steak was very much room temperature. We informed the waiter, but he said that when they cook meat medium rare they have to let it breathe a bit, however we order the steak medium. Overall this place is pretty good, but it is way pricier than you would expect for the quality of the food.

This place is a 5/5 on atmosphere alone. Love the stylish bar and the knowledgeable bartenders. Mario was really on his game. The quality of the cocktails were on point. And the food!! Wow, I only had the opportunity to try one dish, the fried rice. But what a massive bowl of deliciousness!! Genuinely, massive in portion and truly one of the best fried rices I've had in Miami hands down. The live dj really makes for a special dining experience, not a quiet one, but definitely a fun night out.

    Julia F.

Pros: the food was so delicious!! Everything we ate was a 5/5. I wasn't expecting it to be so delicious and such interesting menu items! Cons: it's a pricey restaurant! We didn't get too much food and it was a super high bill. Another con is that the restaurant isn't super lively. I've been twice and both times there weren't a ton of people so it felt a little dead and awkward -- definitely not a super energetic restaurant. They have a great happy hour but only at the bar downstairs. The bar looks fun so I'd recommend it!

    Elizabeth L.

Intimate ambiance and very friendly staff. Didn't realize there is a second floor but it's perfect for a date! The duck dish was very expensive for very little amount but it was the most delicious duck I've ever had in my life - I've had a lot of duck. This dish just melted in my mouth! Got some other appetizers that were pretty good and the banana walnut old fashion. Very creative and tasty :)

Even with reservations they were a little slow in seating for a fairly empty restaurant (noon). Ordered drinks (tea $6 and coffee $5) then brunch. Seems like service coordination is very off. My spouse got the appetizer a good 15 minutes before mine. I had the biscuit, that was very tasty. The fruit, granola yogurt was good too. The main of crab Benedict was served, next although already cooled and the sauce a congealed. My main, after a good 30 minutes still had not arrived. Apparently a steak and eggs can be miscooked and they had redone it, never bothering to tell us. I did not try it there. Refills on the coffee were never offered. We took the steak and our cinnamon buns to go since we had been there long enough. The final kicker is they have an automatic 20% service charge in order to ensure the staff is paid enough. Seems like a business problem to me. Service was not up to that high of a standard. If you go during Miami Spice I hope they have figured out how to sequence the courses and get them to the table correctly while still hot.

Mediocre Food, Insultingly Small Portions and Poor Service…read more Unfortunately, Komodo was a major disappointment. The food was mediocre--especially for a Miami Spice menu--and nowhere near the upscale experience we expected. After spending almost $400 for my husband and I, I would have expected more. The portions were insultingly tiny, with the exception of the chicken salad. The salmon tacos contained what tasted like salmon "paste," and each taco shell was barely two inches long. They were so ridiculously small that even our waiter chuckled. The "half Maine lobster" was about the size of a jumbo shrimp, with no claw. The main course came with no sides so for $65 jumbo shrimp that was it. If you actually want a meal expect to pay extra for "fried" rice that was super bland and churrasco 10 oz extra at $12. So my steak meal was $87 and for that I could have had a real upscale experience at Daniel's in the Gables with upscale service and food. The experience started poorly when the four of us were seated at an awkward, cramped table with no legroom. We were positioned facing outward instead of toward one another, making normal conversation nearly impossible. It was a very strange setup for a party of four. Also, it was very warm in the restaurant and I would have asked to adjust but at the look at the servers face and everyone else I was afraid to say anything that something would happen to my food. The hostess also forgot to give us the Miami Spice menu. As soon as we requested it, the waiter's attitude noticeably changed, and the service went downhill from there. By the end of the night, the restaurant was overcrowded, with a very young crowd pouring into the bar area, and everything felt disorganized and poorly managed. Miami Spice used to be a wonderful way to experience Miami's better restaurants. Unfortunately, this felt more like a complete rip-off than a special dining experience. Komodo did not deliver the quality, portions, service or atmosphere its prices and reputation suggest. They should not be participating in Miami Spice as they have no upscale food to offer. My only regret is I didn't take pictures for potential customers to see how terrible this experience was and food looked. This was highly disappointing,,,save your money.

When we made our reservation, we also asked for a table with a good view of the show, and they accommodated us with a fantastic front-row view from one of the couches. It was so much better than our previous visit, when we were trying to peer around a pillar and across the restaurant to see the performance. If seeing the show is important to you, I definitely recommend requesting a table with a good view when you make your reservation. Before the show the DJ plays music. The volume was at a good level, loud enough to be fun but soft enough to be able to hear each other talk. Although the restaurant initially feels like an indoor space, the central courtyard is actually open-air with overhead coverings, so there is plenty of fresh air while still feeling sheltered. Tall palm trees, pools of water, couches, and traditional dining tables create a beautiful and distinctive atmosphere. Overhead fans kept the temperature surprisingly comfortable despite the Miami heat. Dining at Jaya was one of the highlights of our trip to Miami. Delicious food, great service, a beautiful atmosphere, and wonderful entertainment made it much more than just dinner.
