Update: Went for the second time tonight and this place is now my go to spot for Chaat!! Kush, the guy who mans the chaat cart absolutely knows what's what. The flavors, ingredients, the chutneys and the perfect assemblage of it all. Never thought a chai cafe would serve such amazing chaat but here we are. Got the dahi puri and sev puri, and both were wow. Also had the chicken 65 and other than the fact that it was very yummy, the portion was huge! Finished with the bun maska, which along with the Karak chai could and should be reason enough to go there again.

Loved this concept of people catching up with chai. We got the Karak chais here. We also wanted the ginger tea but it was unavailable. They have a bunch of bites to eat. They offer cookies to dunk in and have samosas and wraps. Would love to try the food here next time.

New chai place in Fremont! And they have live Hindi music! Chai and snacks are amazing too. Service is quick and the place is decently clean

I heard good things about this spot and finally gave it a try. The space is a decent size and the Irani Chai was ok comparable to other good places ive visited. However, the biscuit was out of this world. The samosas were tasty, and the Bhel Puri (chaat) was absolutely awesome. While the chicken biryani was just okay, ill definitely be back to explore more of the chaat menu and try the ginger n lemon tea.

So we used to come to the old place which was tandoori and curry and now finally gave a shot to this new one "karak chail". They been advertising this place for few months now. Interior has been revamped to make more room for fast customers to drink and leave. The menu is mix of food and drinks. Limited drinks surprisingly. The place has music so bit dissatisfied with that. The karak chai itself was a bummer. Its masala chai. Karak chai should not have masala. The irani chai was better. We got the dum chicken biryani to test how it was compared to prior. Im not exactly sure if its same owner as before, but the sad part is for dine in they served the hot food in plastic containers as if it was to go. We came for dine in and serving in plastic utensils, plates and containers. Biryani rice didnt have much flavor, ok they provided 2 pieces of chicken (one thigh and one leg) the chicken 65 which isnt my speciality but my friends said if was good. The dum biryani was not dum, just a play on name. More like chicken pulao with food coloring. Its like an attempt to copy deccan morsels with more seating tbh. The chai at bundoo khan or pakwan is better. Also for dine in, the chai cups are you plastic to go and the size of cups (8oz) was not enough for $4 a masala/karak chai. But folks in bay area dont care for quality and will pay so yea lol The gulab jamun came cold. Not even warmed up. Highly disappointed. Gotta repeat again: the name of the place is karak chai and that itself was not karak chai

Loved the ambience and service. At our first visit, we tasted the Irani chai, Black Forest Cake, Osmania biscuit and the papri chat. Osmania bis: 5/5 (freshly baked) Irani chai: 4/5 Black Forest Cake: 3.5/5 Papri Chat: 5/5 We will surely come back again and again.

The chai was delicious! And the owner was very kind. A variety of snacks and desserts to choose from. I definitely want to come back with my friends.

Nice ambiance! We just stopped for a quick tea break. Irani chai was great, but the Osmania Biscuit stole the show! The Black Forest cake was also more than decent. Can't wait to come back with a larger gang on the weekend nights :)

I got regular sweetness, and it was pretty sweet, so maybe less sweetness would be just perfect. Tiramisu Milk Cake: 5/5 I loved! It was super moist, and not too sweet. It was a nice combo with the Iced Biscoff Latte. Iced Double Matcha: 1/5 Really bad! I had high hopes for the matcha, seeing as how popular and how good their other items were. I'm a big matcha fan, and their matcha didn't taste right at all. It tasted super watered down, and lacked genuinely any flavor. Super disappointing! Chicken Shawarma: 4/5 Pretty yum! It definitely filled my up. Had a good amount of chicken, and came to me warm. Would get again, but isn't super exciting or different. Would love if there were a sauce that came with it. It is super packed! Lots of people coming and going, so the noise level is pretty high all the time. Good amount of seating options, but it was full basically the entire time I was there (4+ hours). Lots of drink and food options (sweet and savory). Good service -- they bring your order to your table. Wish there were more outlets available, and the floors were pretty dirty. I didn't see them clean or quickly wipe down any of the tables during the entire time I was there. I moved tables twice and had to wipe the table down as it was wet from drinks and crumbs.

I moved out towards…read morethis neck of the words and was searchin' searchin' searchin', and my thirsty heart led me to here! --- F O O D & D R I N K S --- The first drink I had at Qamaria was the Pistachio Latte with oatmilk and whewwww... easily the best pistachio latte I've ever had. The pistachio flavor tastes rich and legit without being overly sweet or covering up the coffee. A lot of pistachio drinks at other spots taste like artificial syrup, but this one is smooth, balanced, and actually complements the espresso. I also love seeing that deep green color in the clear cups--it just looks so aesthetic and makes the drink feel even more authentic. Honestly, 9 out of 10 times, this is what I'm ordering. If it's your first time here, PLEASE get it. Thankfully my husband is always down to be adventurous and order something different so we can still guarantee at least one pistachio latte on the table lol. His go-to is the Qamaria Latte with oatmilk, sometimes with cold foam. It sounds simple--espresso, steamed milk, cardamom, and cinnamon--but it tastes like comfort in a cup. The cardamom and cinnamon make it feel warm, cozy, and layered without punching you in the face with sugar. Nothing tastes artificial here. Everything feels intentional and made with care. Also, whether you dine in or take it to-go, the drinks always look cute. I LOVE the dine-in presentation though. The iced drinks come in clear glass cups so you can see all the layers, and the hot drinks come in these thick ceramic mugs that make the experience feel extra cozy. And I'm such a sucker for their tray setup too--everything matches the aesthetic so well and makes coffee dates here feel extra special. And don't even get me started on the milk cakes because they are dangerously good. My fave is the Biscoff milk cake. It's super soft, creamy, rich, and has the perfect caramelized cookie flavor without being too sweet. It paired sooo well with the warm spices in the coffee. _______________________________________________________ --- S E R V I C E --- Each barista I ever had was kind and super chill. I never felt rushed and they took their time answering questions. It sounds pretty simple but I feel like even with how busy it can get, they pace themselves accordingly behind the counter so that they are intentional and patient with their customers, and work in a consistent pace that gets drinks done in time and hands them off with care. Very contrast to a cafe where baristas are working so fast-paced that their interactions are short and it feels like that they just want to get the drink over with and passed off to the customer. It all goes back to Qamaria's baristas being intentional with the way that they work. Keep doin' your thing y'all. Love the flow. _______________________________________________________ --- A M B I A N C E -- It's funny because the first time my husband and I pulled up was after dinner on a Friday night. He was feenin' for coffee and was like, "What's even open this late?" Yoooo, finding out Qamaria Yemeni Coffee was open until 1 AM on Fridays and Saturdays instantly made us happy because now we got a late-night spot whenever the cravings hit. Most nights they're open until midnight too, which is dangerous lol. And let me tell you... this place gets CRACKIN'. We came around 10:30 PM and the line was out the door, but I'm so glad we stayed because the drinks changed our life. Even on a random weekday when I met up with a homegirl, we looked up from yappin' for hours and suddenly the line was wrapped outside again. Trust--it's worth the wait. The inside is warm, modern, and culturally rich without feeling forced or overly trendy. The arches, lighting, patterned seating, earthy tones, and artwork make the whole space feel cozy and intentional. Even when it's packed, it still feels welcoming and communal--honestly just proof this is THE spot to be no matter the time of day. People are studying, catching up with friends and fam, working, or just vibing over coffee, and it somehow all works together perfectly. It's the type of café that makes you want to slow down and stay awhile instead of grabbing your drink and leaving.

Probably best to preorder in advance, although the staff were kind enough to let me know when the "drops" were, and I managed to get the quantity we needed last minute. I got myself a drink as a treat. I'm no coffee expert, but it did taste delicious. The store has a surprising amount of sunlight, and natural feeling decor. I heard that service is slow, but it didn't feel particularly slow when I was there. Price is maybe a bit high, but not unexpected at a boutique store. I cannot work remotely at this location, but I would have loved to do so. It was quite busy on the public days I went (despite seemingly being in the middle of some industrial area) so the "membership" (essentially just prepaid store credit) benefit may be worth it for someone who is a regular anyway.

A lot of reviews mention parking in Apna Mandi's parking lot behind the cafe. However, the spots in that lot closest to the coffee shop have bright red signs saying "No Coffee Shop Parking" and that violators will be towed. I ended up following one of the reviews and parked in the Safeway plaza across the street. It would be nice if Hops & Beans clarified whether or not customers actually allowed to park in the lot behind the cafe, or any alternatives.
