First timer. Had the biscuits and gravy with two eggs over easy plus side of bacon. Excellent. Highly recommend.

A very busy place! The reason it's so busy is because it's so good if you're in the area and you get a chance it's a must stop!

Great food, service and prices. Try the omelets or pancakes. The specials like the ribs or brisket are amazing too.

Hand-shredded hash browns, fresh made blueberry pancakes, biscuits and gravy, potato pancakes, and daily bakery specials never fail to amaze me.

First of all... when the waitress tells you that the portions are huge... believe her! I ordered…read morethe pancakes with blueberries (so many blueberries) and they were so delicious and massive! Literally plate size! My husband's 3 egg omelette was also massive. the service was good and the place was quaint. Also very affordable! It was quiet and slow but this is probably off season for them.

Sunday breakfast. The parking lot was full (with every vacationer going home from their weekend in…read morethe north woods). There was a sign on the door that said something like "we are understaffed, please be nice to those who did show up for work". We were weary that it might be a while, or it may not be worth the wait. Well, it was anything but a long wait. Maybe 5 mins, and we were at our seats. And as far as lack of staff, I sure didn't see it! Looked like (at least in my opinion) there were plenty of staff. I did find it a little weird that our waitress asked us to wait until she got our drinks before we could hit the breakfast buffet. The buffet was $13 (I think) and it was well stocked and the food was good. Maybe 6 main items, but all were tasty... especially the scrambled eggs and bacon. (If you are like me, who likes his bacon a little underdone (not crispy) you will love the bacon.) The buffet itself is a bit of a bottle neck because they have pancakes, fruit and some desserts on an added table on the end, which makes an "L" in the buffet line. This creates a back up at times at the buffet, but it's only a bit of a hold up. One of the people in my group ordered off the menu and she said her French Toast was very good. The food arrived pretty quickly, which was nice because she had food timely enough that she got to eat, and finish eating, with the rest of us. Would recommend this restaurant for its buffet and for those who want to order of the menu. I wouldn't let the busy parking lot keep you away. Things moved pretty quickly.

They're only open Friday evenings and Sat-Sun. We stopped by on a Saturday morning and got the best meal of our trip. They're a cute spot with a lovely little indoor dining room as well as a patio. We opted to dine outdoors on the sunny Saturday morning we were there. I ordered the frittata and a caramel latte made with almond milk. The frittata came with a lightly dressed salad on the side. The salad was fine but the frittata was out of this world delicious. It was buttery with creamy goat cheese that was beautifully sharp and flavorful. My caramel latte was the best cup of coffee of my trip (so good with wonderfully rich espresso). My only hope is that they'll eventually expand their hours as I would have happily been in there every morning of my trip. They are a wine bar in the evenings as well (though we didn't stop by for that). The service was good if a bit disjointed (we received our meals and finished them before our coffee came out). But, aside from that small snag--exemplary all the way around. Get to it!

No kidding, don't let the gas station vibes throw you, this place has great eats. We walked in through the gas station part of the building and were surprised to see the rustic decor of a medium sized dining area and an adjacent bar. It was a pretty full dining room and we sat ourselves. It didn't look promising as we saw one waitress and one bartender. However, after a brief wait, the waitress came to our table and assured us she would return as quickly as possible to get our drink and food orders. She returned as promised. Our drinks arrived a short time later. They were well made and attention was paid to get us another round as we finished the first. Our table had ribs, prime rib and a French dip sandwich. The portion size was great and the food arrived hot. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and the sauce was tasty. The prime rib had great flavor, was prepared as ordered and had very little fat. The French dip was also tasty. Truth be told, a salad bar would make this a true five star rating. The salads served with the meal were nice but very run-of-the-mill. Will we go back in the future? You betcha!
