We were staying for an evening at the local waterpark for the second year in a row and didn't want the same pizza as last year. Instead, we ordered from Karlee's. Pickup was a breeze, got back to the hotel room and saw they honored my request on the kids pizza to include pepperoni, and the salad was right, but I was given the wrong two pizzas, so I called up the restaurant. Turns out it was my own fault for accidentally ordering a Stromboli instead of a pizza, and my wife's chicken bruschetta pizza was entirely on point and I just didn't see that's what it was. Despite my own error after calling, the restaurant still offered to make me a pizza in place of the Stromboli because they wanted me to be happy. I didn't want to put them out for my own error, and thanked them. I had the Stromboli, and it was excellent! More of a calzone in style, but it was the flavors I had wanted. The value is great for the area, the quality was good, and they were willing to go above and beyond for a silly dumb customer like me? Five stars all the way. We ordered a Cheesesteak and an Italian Coldcut Sub by phone. Their menu hand subs available in Small, Medium and Large. Over the phone they said they did not sell small subs. They never said how soon the food would be ready. When I walked into the restaurant the lights were dim and I thought they were closed, there was no one at the counter, but there were customers waiting. I had to wait 5 minutes before I was even acknowledged. The quality of the sub DID NOT reflect the price charged. The bread for the Italian Sub was not fresh, the meats were thrown in and when I unwrapped the sandwich the contents fell out. It makes me think twice about ordering from them again. read more

While visiting Great Wolf Lodge, we wanted something light and decided to give this place a try. The service was good, but the food was average. I opted for the chicken cheesesteak, which lacked flavor and tasted as if the chicken had not been seasoned. I use to never have a problem with the food here, but more recently my order has either been delivered partially wrong, or right, they just skimp on the ingredients. I oredered a veggie sub with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. I got a sub with tomatoes, cucumbers, olives and peppers. No cheese. Again. I have to warn you pre-review, I have never set a foot in this establishment. I can not comment on the cleanliness, service, or coziness as I have only ever gotten carry out (picked up by the hubs) or delivery. I have to say though, Subworks is now our go to call for delivery when the urge strikes. The first time we ordered, I had their grilled shrimp wrap, and tried some of my daughters salad and lasagna. Everything was fresh, the cold food was cold and the hot food was hot. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the Italian sub (which - as subs should - came with lettuce tomato and mayo without a $1.50 upcharge) All in all it was a great meal, well worth the money. This weekend we ordered chicken bruschetta pizza and cream of crab soup. The cream of crab soup had a nice layer of fresh lump crab meat on top, which I thought was a garnish... but the soup underneath was crab-less. It was the most delicious crab flavored thick milk I've ever tasted :) For $4.99, I think it was a decent amount of crab meat for a steal of a price - just be sure to stir! Also, the homemade breadsticks that came with it were divine. The pizza was delish - crisp crust, the right amount of toppings, tasty sauce, all baked to perfection. My husband and I polished off the whole 16" pie on our own in one evening. Despite taking a full 45+ minutes, it was all "pretty darn good" and still came hot. Large pizza with soup + delivery + tip = $30. Not the cheapest delivery but not the worst on the wallet. We will absolutely order again. :) read more

Pizza is usually very good. I ordered the BBQ chicken pizza last night for the first time. It is disgusting. It is not just a BBQ chicken pizza. They also put on a cheddar cheese whiz spread as the base layer. Nasty. Cheddar Cheese spread on pizza - yuck. Absolutely the most disgusting pizza ever. I live two hours away but have a cousin who attends boarding school in the area. About once or twice every month and half I stop by this place for food when I visit or pick up my cousin. I have always known this place has great food and service, and my experience Friday evening just confirmed it. The small diner was packed with people and barely had any empty seats. The name Subworks does not do this place justice. Their menu is quite large including pizza, pasta, subs, and even crab cakes. We ordered the white pizza. It had fresh spinach, fresh broccoli, slices of tomato, and fresh garlic. Everything about this pizza screamed fresh. We also order a calzone, which was excellent.
