this cafe has such an interesting vibe! lots of astrological/ witchcore decor and elements, and their menu is huge (even the monthly specials). I went with the coconut hazelnut latte with oat milk ($7.32 post-tax) and it was pretty good. not a huge fan of acidic coffees and this one was, but the syrup balanced it out. not much coconut taste though

First timer here. Two reasons for me to be here. Avocado Toast & a trip down hippie lane. (Two types of trips you could probably have if you stare into the twinkling faerie lights too long). Some would call this place dated & cluttered. Yep, but sitting here surrounded by amazing eye candy I half expected the ghost of Haight Ashbury past, a young barefoot woman with flowers in her hair. You don't get this vibe at Starbucks. I don't drink coffee which is a shame given their creative offerings. If you choose to nurse a lavender latte all day, they've got WiFi, & a small windowless loft area to disappear into. Not to worry, plenty of seating. Wait, there's even a small printer by the entrance! Mugs, water bottles, jewelry, T-shirts for sale. A wall of framed dog photos. Don't know if the PAC Man machine works. You really have to see for yourself. I think the Jimi Hendrix painting is telepathically asking if I've ever been experienced. So big surprise, I ordered the Avocado Toast & a London Fog sans vanilla. Such a nice guy at the corner, bonus points he has a sense of humor. They actually toasted the bread, topped with a generous spread of creamy goodness & perfectly fried egg, meaning it didn't drip down onto my hand. On top was dressed greens piled high. Being breakfast time I wasn't in the mood for salad, so cast aside the top layer, all the better to eat with my hands. Looks like they package everything in paper to/go containers. 5 star morning. This is a uniquely decorated gem! Every inch of this place was filled with cute details literally all the way to the next level. I will say, the ube latte was good but not my most favorite. They do have a big menu of unique combo flavors that I definitely have to revisit to try though. I'd also want to check out their food items too because it literally smells like yummy breakfast as you walk in. Service was quick and friendly. Located near Panhandle park, they're a great option for a little latte walk!

The inside is BEAUTIFUL! i love the maximalist style. the menu is huge , lots of fresh pastries. we got the lemon blueberry loaf & the dark chocolate loaf. both were amazing. my bagel was called the anytime bagel, i got it without tomato and was blown away. i love arugula & spicy things ... the cucumbers were such a great combo because the jalapeños were definitely real in that cream cheese! to drink i got a pink pony club shaker & it was so refreshing. I will 1000000% be back!

I was looking forward to getting some coffee and the review pictures looked delicious. With all the special order options i chose an ube latte. Don't get me wrong it tastes heavily like ube.. with minimal coffee. My sister got a strawberry matcha, she was very disappointed. The matcha turned brown when she mixed it with the strawberry. She said it's the worst matcha she has ever had. Other than that the service was good and fast and it was very ambient inside.

Quirky little corner cafe that a client who lives nearby recommended. Very dog friendly (love). I ordered the Chicken Salad wrap and it was very very good. Came out warm and chicken salad was cold, everything inside was tasty. I will definitely return and try other food items!

If I'm gonna pay 11$ for a smoothie the place better be decorated like this. If I talked to girls I would for sure bring them here as a little whimsical spot and they would think I'm so cool

This is a cafe that really cares about its customer's experience! There were so many considerate additions to this cafe I really appreciate, and it made it really inviting to come back to. The decor is definitely over the top in a quirky way, from the wall of dog photos to the plethora of hanging floral strings on the ceiling. Pros: - Huge menu! Lots of fun flavored drinks if you're into that, and prices are very reasonable. Lattes start at 2 shots each! - I really enjoyed my Lox bagel too, so the food menu seems good as well. - Free wifi!! Seating!! Cannot emphasize this enough. - Bathroom, free samples, hot sauce bar, public mini book offering, printer with envelopes and stamps for sale, etc! The only con I can think of is that there are limited windows, so the upstairs seating can feel a bit dark. This overall seems like a really awesome neighborhood cafe with good vibes. Will definitely be coming back to work and chill w friends :)

Very unique spot! The decor alone just made me want to visit! Delicious coffee and the yummiest treats! I paired a cappuccino and a stuffed bagel bite and it was PERFECT. They have season drinks as well which is a must try! Lots of themes given the time of year. Fantastic service and cozy to work from.

I always love going to Karma Cafe, it has such a cute vibe, I feel like I can always get out of my own head and admire all of the cute art and decor around me. The food and pastries are always pretty good, I enjoy it a lot when I need a quick snack. Everyone who works there is so sweet, my friend didn't like her drink and they so kindly fixed it. I always feel bad doing something like that but the staff were amazing. Always a go-to spot for me

All around pleasant experience in terms of both the service and coffee. I had the flight and…read morethought it was overall good. They explained that the flight includes an espresso shot, espresso shot with milk, hot coffee, and iced coffee. I hadn't had a straight espresso shot before, so this wasn't for me personally just because it was so overpowering. I enjoyed the other three though. Like the majority of SF, parking is difficult to locate. I was dropped off nearby the location. There is indoor and outdoor seating; I was able to grab an empty spot late in the morning on a weekend, but I don't think seating is always readily available. It's not a huge space.

At 11 am on a Sunday they were out of their best- black sesame Kouign Amann and the Raspberry Almond Croissant, which I took care of by paying a visit to Juniper bakery (sister business) later in the day. The Mocha with the house made nut milk fell flat. It needed something. I am not a fan of syrupy coffees and appreciate the more purist approach but this one just didn't do anything for me. The chai latte which I would never order was actually the best chai latte I have ever had, it was smooth like silk. Maybe I just had the wrong coffee order. Besides that, got the hot chocolate and the coffee tasting. I was surprised there was no explanation provided with the coffee- I figured it's all Honduran but an overview of some sort would have helped. I enjoyed all the coffees in there except the latte. Will visit again, earlier in the day so they are not out of their best sellers and try a different order.

Not only does it have all of that, but the drinks aren't just pretty to look at, they're actually so good. I also love how community-oriented the space feels. It has such a warm, welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. I even signed up for their rewards program because I already know I'll be back. I didn't get a chance to explore the back of the store during my last visit, so that's at the top of my list next time. Such a fun place to spend a slow morning or afternoon!

Community-oriented cafe in the Outer Sunset district!…read more Blackbird is located across the street from Hook Fish, meaning that parking is packed and hard to find, so use public transit! I have gone to Blackbird a handful of times and have enjoyed the experience each time. Blackbird is primarily a bookstore, but they do have an outdoor window where you can order drinks ranging from matcha (Rocky's Matcha, if you're curious about which brand they use), lattes, and tea. They also carry a good amount of pastries (even mid-day, they have a lot of goodies), which I really appreciated. When you order your drink, you have to enter inside the bookstore to wait for your drink to be called, but you can take the time to stroll around and look at their book selection and trinkets. Heads up: the seating here is limited but very lovely. Inside, there are a couple of community tables, but their outdoor area is absolutely magical, with lush greenery and benches for you to enjoy your drinks. This time around, I got one of their seasonal drinks, a honey lavender vanilla latte, and I paired it with an Earl Grey olive oil loaf. The portion of the pastry was generous and moist, while the icing was not too sweet. Overall, a great pick for a cafe if you're in the area.
