    banana cream latte
    Sarah C.

love the ambience here, lots of natural light and plants and decor. they use andytown coffee roasters, but unfortunately I think I got the wrong thing. I tried their seasonal banana cream latte ($7) -- the base espresso was good but there was no "cream" aspect, only artificial tasting banana syrup that was so subtle I could barely taste it :(

Cute spot, sandwiches are so good! The cappuccino was nice, and it's overall a nice vibe to chill and get work done

The sandwiches are really delicious but on the pricier side for the side. I could've eaten two of these to be substantially full, and the sandwich was ~$11. The drinks aren't anything fancy. However, the atmosphere is great. There are always people working or talking with friends. It's a great cafe experience but on the pricier side.

Friendly service on a weekend morning! I stopped by Matcha Half Cafe and tried one of their lattes, which was well made. The espresso had a nice depth to it without tasting bitter, and the milk tied everything together into something cohesive. Love the chill vibes of this place!

11am Tuesday: The cafe is situated between Western Addition & NOPA, & the edge of Haight Ashbury, serving the locals, no tourists I could see, far enough from Haight & Divisadero street grunge. Like most cafes in the hood, there's a touch of the 70s, heyday of hippy esthetic. Inside the tall ceiling space is local art & the usual laptop village. Outside is a sidewalk wide enough to accommodate 6 cafe tables, no expensive parklet needed. I consulted the menu board & chose the closest thing to avocado toast. Behold the Avo, watermelon radish, raw onion, chili flakes, (added bacon) on a toasted everything bagel. (They only have everything bagels). The combo made for a tasty meal. The raw onions & thin layer of avocado spread kinda made the sandwich taste more lunch than breakfast. Purely subjective. It's hard to find a decent bagel in San Francisco which is a mystery given all the NYC transplants. This bagel is in the top 5 IMO. I will definitely return to sample one of the many custom coffees & whatever is in those green drinks. Loved the vibe, mostly soft rock & the ability to linger reading my NY Times. Yes, I'm a good citizen, left when all the tables got full. Support Local !

Matchy-matchy! I came here with two of my girlfriends to catch up on life and we all ordered the Matcha tea latte with oat milk which was warm, not too sweet, but enough caffeine to get us through the rest of the day to run errands. The cafe is cute with indoor and outdoor seating and it seems that the place is frequented by the local neighbors, which I find very quaint. There are food items you can order but we opted to just stick with our teas during our catch up. The service is fairly quick despite there being a line and we were able to secure a table inside since it was a bit chilly when we went. I love neighborhood cafes like this. It creates this wonderful feeling of community and belonging!

This was good unique breakfast. Loved the mixture of ingredients in these sandwiches. I swear this cafe was trying to follow the OG Starbucks method with how badly they messed up our names (Iven and Kwen). I enjoyed both items, the breakfast sandwich would've better good with a breakfast sausage instead of ham IMO. I would go again. My friend would too I think but he was going through a rough day at the time 4.2/5

    uninspired and burnt (current crew)

This was my go to spot even though it's nowhere near me. Good atmosphere, great art and stained glass, killer flowers around the front patio, usually friendly staff that remembers your name with a smile. Great espresso art, and tasty food options. The newer crew doesn't bother to learn names any longer (even if they've seen me half a dozen times), is not very engaging, doesn't pay attention to details (like for here vs to go), and isn't making the consistent high quality product I had come to expect. Uninspired over cooked espresso drinks, hot sandwiches with cold middles. Let's just say it takes a lot for me to not finish my coffee - I didn't finish the last two I've had here. The owner is there at times and is friendly but quiet. I would have posted to him directly rather than posting here but he didn't respond when asked and their website isn't working. I will likely go less often if again. It may be best to wait for a changing of the crew which seems somewhat regular at cafes, and hope the new ones are a return to their previous greatness.

This place is super cute and has fun games like chess and checkers to play. I just got an 8oz mocha which was a lil too rich and maybe dark chocolate for me. The service was nice. I'd try this spot again and maybe hang here, just didn't like the mocha. Nothing bad with it tho, just lil rich for me Mocha - 6/10

A charming little bistro inspired by the Marlowe cows, I'm assuming, managed to stun us with several memorable dishes. The warm deviled eggs were an excellent start. Savory yet delicate enough to not weigh us down right at the beginning of our meal. The horseradish aioli wasn't for me, but I can see its appeal for a certain audience. You give me a Calabrian chili sauce and it's guaranteed to make me happy and this shrimp with sweet corn was no exception. Again, light but a punchy flavor that was enjoyable. I could go on and on about the different dishes we tried but the real standout of the night was the pork tenderloin with chorizo and peaches. The sweetness from the peaches somehow managed to enhance the flavor of the chorizo. This dish gives you a bold, savory and sweet bite all together but still won't have you feeling super heavy. The portion size is perfect. Im hoping to return soon for another exquisite meal.

Based on our two visits, coming on a weekday and later in the day seems much more manageable. Both of us ordered The Plow with the house-made pork sausage, which comes with eggs, Plow potatoes, and lemon ricotta pancakes. Such a satisfying meal! The house-made pork sausage patties were juicy and packed with flavor. The Plow potatoes tasted fresh and were crispy, crunchy, and rustic. The lemon ricotta pancakes were a great way to finish the meal--after all the savory flavors from the eggs, potatoes, and sausage, the pancakes with maple syrup were the perfect sweet ending. We also both got the cold brew with oat milk. Strong and really good--exactly how we like our cold brew! Service: Great! Everyone was friendly and attentive, and they checked in on us frequently even though the restaurant was busy.
