I went here with my girlfriends brother. Knowing a bit about the business of selling cars from my best friend being in it. I was prepared for the shady business used car dealerships can be. - He needed a truck that same day, he found one he liked it was a bit beat up but whatever everything was fine, he choose a truck that he liked and assumed everything about it was fine except for what he could see. 2 hours go by of pricing and financing ( they're getting him excited about the truck making him think he's lucky for getting it whatever it's business right) Here's where the issues started . First thing they did and it's how a lot of used car dealerships do is give us a high APR the banks APR Rate was at-least 5% lower than what they gave us and I knew right off the bat ( one of the was they make a lot of money is by charging a higher APR than what the bank gives them) I understand it's part of the business. But they really shot a bit high on their profits right there. During the end they nearly cut the originally APR in half ( as expected) making the buyer (my gfs brother) feel really good. BUT THEN ONCE THEY MADE HIM FEEL AS IF THEY WERE HOOKING IT UP SOME HOW, AFTER TAKING UP HALF HIS DAY AND WHILE KNOWING HE NEEDED A TRUCK THAT DAY TO BE ABLE TO WORK! THEY LET HIM KNOW THAT IF HAD FRAME DAMAGE!!!!!!! . That's bad business and I can't respect that. If you can then this might be your dealership. UPDATE: There really isn't anything that can be done. I came in on a Friday morning driving 48 miles from Oc because they're website appeared to have decent prices on some trucks that I wanted to buy for my company. I should have read the reviews before hand. I called and inquired if they had a particular truck and the salesman said "Yeah come on in ask for ... and I'd be happy to show you around." So I do that. I pull up to the lot and there is about 8 hungry salesmen taking turns on clients that pull up. I pull up, the salesman points to a parking spot and walks up to the car. I haven't even turned off my car and the guy is standing outside my window. So I get out of the car and say I'm here to see... he replies with "so what kind of car are you looking for" knowing well he wasn't the guy I was looking for. He shows me a couple of trucks and one in particular was advertised on the website for right under 16k, just what I wanted. So I said let's work the numbers. So we sat and he stated that I was wrong and that the truck is 18k and if I had proof that that's what the truck was listed for. Which I did, thank god for technology because I took a screenshot and he quickly apologized. So we're working the numbers and we come to an agreement on a down payment and a monthly payment. I told I would come back tomorrow with my cosigner. He was cool with it. So I drove back the following morning with my cosigner and the script quickly flipped my payment was not only $60 more but also 6 months were added to the lease and they raised the price of the truck on the website even after I put down a 1k deposit. I quickly confronted Guss and he said "I don't remember what we agreed to bro." So I call the manager and he quickly corrected things. I should have walked out the doors. But I end up purchasing the truck. So fast forward 2 weeks and my truck is leaking so much motor oil that it drain 4 quarts in 2 days. I call them and thy told me "I should have got the warranty." I take it to my local dodge dealer and this is what they find is wrong with the truck. Over 2k in necessary repairs. Moral of the story stay away from shady dealers like this one. ***EDIT*** Hey Rey, please don't play games or reply with misleading information to make up for the dishonesty. What does you increasing the price of the vehicle have to do with it the creditor? Haha don't be a ignorant. Don't forget Rey your the guy that deals with the creditor directly, The finance guy just fills in the paperwork and points where to sign. Why did the finance guy need your authorization to bring the price down to the original agreed upon terms? Who is the guys that's messing with the price? The salesman? The finance guy? The creditor or you? Also I was surprised when I went to go pick up my truck today! You know what the dodge service department said? You guys used a sealant to temporarily stop the leak so it wouldn't leak while you try to sell the truck. Which is illegal. It's all documented. I called and inquired about a car and was directed to the wrong lot. Wasn't the biggest deal, the other lot was on Sepulveda and only about 15 mins away. I got there and the car I looked at had a pretty clean exterior but the interior roof was dirty as hell and the could could've used a detailing, (conveniently this wasn't pictured on the site.) The price you see online will not be the price of the car. I wasn't aware of this until AFTER they ran my credit and was about to put a down payment on the car and they brought out a list of additional fees and told me the "real" price of the car. Which is about $3000 higher and is on a small green sticker on the windshield. The fees were for "Express Etch Protection" (which is really just the VIN numbers put in the windows) and Elo GPS which they claim is similar to LoJack and will help find your car if stolen. They also try to sell you saying that there's an app that does along with them that lets you set a speed limit, driving perimeter etc. The car I wanted was a 2017 Infiniti so it obviously didn't need any of those extras, as I'm sure many of the newer cars on that lot don't. I did a Google search on those products and a YouTube video came up explaining it was one of the scams of the decade and everything that Kevin Hunter (the guy in the video) said matched up with what I was being told on the lot. They sell you all that bs to make money and it doesn't help you at all. They even tell you that once you let your car insurance know that your car is equipped with those features they'll give you a discount and your premium will go down over time. It's all lies! I told them that I didn't need any of those extra features and that if they remove them and drop the price to what it was listed for, I'd buy the car but they claim they couldn't, then I was later told by a different salesman that one of them (I think the etching removed) and it would take $850 off the price. All in all I didn't buy from them and I wouldn't suggest you do either if you want an honest car buying experience. read more

The business model for Karplus Warehouse Inc. in Pacoima is based upon misleading advertising at best and false advertising at worst. They post a slightly below Kelly Blue Book selling price hoping to draw consumers into the business only to ultimately attempt to sell the vehicle at a significantly higher cost. When you purchase a new vehicle from a dealership, you'll purchase a base model and then pay for additional options you desire from the manufacturer (i.e. base model, leather seats w/ heating, 3rd row seating, moonroof, etc.) and the manufacturer will customize the vehicle to your requirements for an additional fee for each option selected. This business advertises the vehicle for the base price and then mandates that you pay whatever options they decide were installed on the vehicle by the manufacturer and previous owners! THOSE ARE SUNK COSTS UNRELATED TO A USED CAR SALE! This business approach implies that the manufacturer charges Karplus Warehouse Inc. a second time for the overpriced options, and that they had to pay more for the vehicle by the previous owners. This is patently absurd. Say the first owner has an anti-theft system installed by the manufacturer and the second owner replaced the stock rims with aftermarket rims and added a supercharger to the motor. Why should Karplus Warehouse Inc be entitled to tack on fees in excess of the base price for everything that deviates from the base model as if they're extras I chose? I didn't choose an anti-theft system, after market rims, or a supercharger yet they'll add these costs when you're at the site as additional fees. They didn't incur these costs, yet they expect the consumer to do so. These additional fees not only significantly exceed the advertised price, they result in an overpriced (relative to Kelly Blue Book) used car sale. This is the first used car dealer I've seen operate under this business model. read more

They were charging us 4,000 plus dollars in fees. They refused to put gas in the car said it was ok and we were fine to test festive it!!! This place was a joke and horrible service not for us!!! Worst customer service ever after you purchase the car. They had us drive off with expired tags and didn't update registration. Ended up with a ticket had to go in cuz they never return calls. Gave us the run-around about the new tags. Gave us paper plates then took them off, promised to over night the tags then say we never went in and don't recall every talking to us. From the sales man to the DMV representative lady to the owner always blaming it on someone else . The officer who gave you the ticket doesn't know they law. The sales man never completed the registration even tho they took our money and had us pay the extra fees to get it done. read more

I went there twice and both times they tried to sneak in a lot of BS extra fees. The vehicle I got wouldn't start the next day and when I told them they sounded unconcerned and that it's sold As Is. We've been in the market for a 4x4 truck. Found one we liked here and decided to come check it out! It had a few issues we noticed (back up camera not working, right front bumper accident damage, loose side step) but we still wanted to buy it as long as they lowered the price or covered the taxes and licensing for us. We got the run around and walked out. We were a few blocks away when they called us on our cell agreeing to our terms for the most part. We were only $300 away from our asking purchase price so we went back and made the deal. Hope this truck lasts us for some time. Wish the transaction went a little smoother from the start but we understand business is business and at the end of the day we all compromised and are happy with our purchase. This review is not necessarily about the karplus warehouse as a whole but of my particular experience with Eleazar, the sales representative. He was nice enough at the beginning and showed me where to park, once I got out he greeted me with a smile, shaked my hand and that's pretty much where my good impression ended. First off, he kept calling me "bro" like I'm his bud from the hood, I am a potential client, looking to spend $20,000 or more on a vehicle, can you treat me more accordingly? I explained to him that I came to see a certain vehicle that was available online and I've received an inquiry to my email that this vehicle is available but was not available at the warehouse when I arrived, needless to say I was disappointed, Eleazar's expression and attitude changed from that point and on, he was clearly unhappy about me being displeased with this matter and did not even apologize and tried to mend the situation.(I understand it is not his fault that this vehicle wasn't available yet in the warehouse, but you represent the company and win costumers by apologizing and trying to solve the situation in any way you can, this is called good costumer service) I've asked if they have any similar vehicles in inventory in the category I am looking for, and explained that I know exactly what I am looking for and it has to fall under certain criteria, so he led me to a few vehicles that were relevant to me and at that point stopped showing interest in helping me, got once with me inside 1 car out of the 3,wasn't showing interest in my needs, wasn't asking questions, wasn't explaining anything about the vehicles I was looking at which turns out I wasted time on anyway because they weren't 4x4 which he would find out if he would ask the right questions earlier, but he didn't, after the first vehicle he showed me he started messing around with his phone and calling people and when I wanted to get the next vehicle unlocked I had to ask him twice because he was on his phone, I felt he did me a favor each time he went to get the keys for the vehicle I wanted to get inside, and without warning he pressed the unlock button that remotely unlocked the car which also turned the horn signaling the car is unlocked, I was standing in front and next to the cars each time he unlocked them and the horn was quite loud and alarming enough to startle me each time, very unpleasant, what he could've done is to come and unlock the vehicle quietly by the door, that is simply being considerate and falls under yet again Good customer service. then after he showed me the third vehicle he left me by myself with no warning, did not ask me if I need any help or questions in fact when I asked him if I could test drive one of the vehicles that were stacked at the back he replied sure once you sign the papers we can get it out for you, excuse me? the only way I can test drive the car is after I buy it? it's a matter of moving 2 cars out of the way for me to be able to test drive a $20,000 investment, this is as a lazy answer as it gets, it would take 5 minutes to move those vehicles out of the way and possibly earn him a nice commission, I would have to take the car to a garage for a mechanical test anyway. So he left, and after a few minutes I see him with another customer, he probably figured there's no sale with me because I told him at the beginning that I have another stop that I intend to check a vehicle at which also explains the lack of interest and effort on his part. but guess what? if you win me with superb customer service, ie., getting to know me and showing overall genuine interest in what I need, if I find two similar vehicles in two different places, even if the vehicle in the other place is a bit cheaper I would go back to the place where I received outstanding customer service and where I saw a real effort from the sales representative part, because finding the right vehicle is the easy part, I need a trustworthy salesman who can "take care of me" and do all the "foot work" as he called it for me even if it means paying a bit more for the vehicle than the other place. So when he was with his "new" customer he saw me that I'm still writing notes and inquiring by myself, so he gave me his card and told me if I'm ready to purchase just let him know. At this point I was just shocked of the unprofessionalism that he expressed but still wanted to earn my commission nonetheless. really? in what universe does that work? people are not dumb, every one wants to be served as top customers regardless of how they look, and you never know who are your clients which in this case, he served or rather I say Not served some one who is in customer service for over 25 years and examined every step and word of this particular sales representative, he failed in every step except the greeting part. I would not recommend this sales representative, and if he gets to read this, please educate yourself about outstanding customer service. read more

I would say this is a pretty typical used car dealership. The sales people are friendly and accommodating, but of course they are... They want to sell you a car. The parking is dicey at best, but we found parking on the lot. I knew what vehicle I was interested in and was shown it promptly. There was some discrepancy on the posted price and the sale price, however they did give it to me at the sale price. Use extreme caution because even if you're paying cash for a vehicle they will write it up as a contract sale as if you are financing it. You will also be charged in this contract a fee for something called Etch... Which is a window etching system that they add on for $799 whether you like it or not. You will be also charged about $500 for "gap insurance"in your contract. I did get mine refunded because we have auto club, Took a couple of weeks and several phone calls to get this refunded. Another minor deception is that we were not told about the trucks rental or accident history until we were in the room signing papers to purchase it. Be sure and ask up front when you first look at your vehicle, that you ask for the Carfax report. Overall the truck I purchased was a good value... Nowhere near perfect by any means... But I was willing to take it as it is because the price was several thousand less than bluebook. Update: odd that you can't find my contact information as I've been emailing 2 people at your business repeatedly. I also need to find out where my license plates went as they've not yet arrived. read more

I was shopping around the lot on Saturday, and it was not a pleasant experience at all. The best part was sitting in the decked out waiting area. Lol, my salesman didn't seem knowledgeable of the inventory, but he tried. He knew I was looking on a lower budget, so I don't blame him for anything. Unfortunately, another salesman...maybe even the owner? Dude had a an accent and looked like a Goodfellas (movie) version of Robert Kardashian Sr. Anywho, THAT guy kept interrupting our main sales guy and had no clue of our budget and pointed out cars that were wayyyyyy out of line with what we wanted style-wise and budget-wise. Also, all the cars that we test drove weren't cleaned, in fact...we left after the final car we looked at had a giant dead beetle on the driver side dashboard, smelled like cigarettes and despair, and had the residuals of chewed gum on the steering wheel & dashboard. What could a car like that go for you may be asking? $8900. Needless to say, we won't be going back or recommending this place. I bought a Nissan Sentra from here last week on a rainy day and left very happy and once I was home I noticed that the car had a dent on the side and a lot of scratches. I called the dealer about the dent very upset and instead of taking responsibility for selling me a car with dents on it they told me that I could have done it. So thank you Karplus Warehouse for the shitty customer service and for making me spend extra money on fixing the car I bought from YOU guys that ALREADY had a dent also The cars airbags aren't working. To anybody thinking about coming here to buy a car don't do it, the cars there are dirty and have scratches on them. When you're looking at the car they tell you that they can clean it but once you buy it they still don't clean it and give it to you that way and to top it off they're suppose to fill up your tank when you buy a car from them and they don't they gave it to me almost empty read more

I bought a Car here because it was a great price and close to home. After a year of paying it I realized that the balance wasn't what it was supposed to be. So then I looked over the contract. Sure enough they failed to mention the 2000 dollar fee I believe is line 12 or 13 on the contract for some glass locating BS that they made up. I called them and told them about it and they said all cars come with it and you can't decline that add-on. So basically I Bought a car that I thought was a good deal for more money than the most expensive car I looked at before buying this one. Amazing and friendly service! After looking around on different sites I found the best deal at Karplus Warehouse. I drove there to check out a Toyota I saw online. Right from the beginning they offered to show me the carfax and after I test drove it, I personally took it to my mechanic. Everything seemed to be as expected with the car, but I still decided to get the extended warranty (which I highly suggest). I got a very low interest rate and I am happy with my new purchase. Read the reviews. They are to be trusted.. I wish we had! THIS PLACE IS SHADY, A RIP-OFF, AND A COMPLETE WASTE OF YOUR TIME. It would be more advisable to purchase something from Craiglist or ebay than to trust these guys in any way. I am only thankful that in the end we left without buying the car we were highly interested in, as we found out it was over priced versus Kelly Blue Book and our history report we just ran at home showed an accident that their reports DID NOT SHOW. I could go into great detail about how many times they lied to us, how many times we caught them in their lies and called them out, and so on and so forth.. but I will simply say this: If you still insist on giving them a try even after reading this review.. walk inside their sales office, first see the 100" LCD TV they have in there. I purchased a Ford Fusion in April. Overall I would say that my experience was good. I dealt with Joel (Salesman), Manny (not sure if the name is correct- sales manager) and Allen (Financing). Everything was pretty straight forward, test drove the car, agreed on a price, and walked out paying that price. My only complaint was that they didn't tell me the vehicle I was purchasing was a fleet vehicle. Fortunately I had seen the carfax prior to purchasing and I was OK with that.
