A great find in the neighborhood! The food was delicious and the service friendly. Our server didn't speak English well but she was kind and got someone who was able to explain things. The cheese bread with the raw egg was amazing and worth the trip just for that . The dumplings were great, large, plump. I had the cheese dumpling and it was fantastic- very delicate cheese filling! The Georgian potatoes were excellent also. The only disappointment was the pickle tray. For $20, we were expecting more! Essentially we only ate the few little pickles and the pickled cabbage . We also got the compote drink which was tasty. Got the small size which was still huge. The other somewhat disappointing thing was that they automatically added a 20% tip! We were 3 people and I thought that was only done when you had a larger party of say 6 people. Parking is on the street.

Georgian Lemonade Pear tastes a lot like cream soda. Tasty!

Talk about a gem. This is as authentic as you can get. The megruli is sooooo perfect. The Georgian bread as well. We have very prompt service. Overall a great experience.

I did really like the place, it's small and cozy. Unfortunately, I felt chilly during all time of the visit, the temperature inside is quite low. I had some Turkish coffee and khinkali with beef and lamb. Food was absolutely delicious! I loved it! Prices are reasonable. The service was ok. I would definitely come back for some good khinkali next time

I love their khachapuri (it's bread with butter, cheese and egg). It's a great sharing appetizer even my toddler enjoyed it very much. It was my first time at a Georgian restaurant, so our hostess's showed us how to mix it up since it was our first time having khachapuri. I also ordered their chicken kebab which was delicious. You get to pick a side of rice, grilled vegetables or home fries. I picked rice but you can go wrong with anything. Their juice can be shared, I enjoyed the raspberry more than the cherry.

Amazing Georgian food! Food: my husband and I ordered 4 things to try and we were surprised at how good everything was!! We ordered the lamb stew, lula kebab, Lamb Khinkali and Acharuli Khachapuri. My favorite was definitely the cheese bread, it was so fluffy and cheesy. It was a giant bread and we saved it for the next day, the bread was still delicious when cold. Try dipping the cheese bread into the lamb stew (was so good!). Still thinking about that cheese bread ~~ We also loved the lamb dumplings, they were so juicy and flavorful (this was my husband's favorite). The pork kebab was really good but I wasn't really a fan of the rice. I'll try to only the pork next time without rice. Portion size is huge!! I thought the portion would be small given how affordable everything was but boy was I wrong. I had leftover for days. This is a small cute restaurant. All the staff there were so nice and friendly when my husband and I went to pick up our food! We'll be dining in next time and I really look forward to trying their other stuff!

Very delicious and authentic cuisine! I love everything i tried there, everything is tasty, freshly made and nutricious! I like eating in, as the place itself has great ambiance, well decorated, very warm and inviting! The staff (its a family business) are all super nice and accomodating! A great place all around, cant get enough of their amazing, delicious food! I love the bread with cheese and egg in the middle, it goes with all the other dishes they offer (meat stews come in amazing, out of this world sauce, so its super awesome to dip the bread in it and eat with the meat). They also have amazing homemade napoleon, and yummy lemonades and fruit drinks!! Highly recommend!!!!!

The food is absolutely delicious! I had their ojahuri and Georgian salad with feta cheese. The lady who served me was so kind and so proud of daughter who cooked the food. Definitely will come back again

A warm, inviting local family restaurant with a cozy atmosphere and delicious food. It looks humble from the outside, and the inside is filled with cultural art, instruments, and decorations. They take cash and walk-in. They also have party reservation.

Must try this delicious and delightful Georgian Restaurant. Its very new, cozy and warms your heart as well as your belly. Decor mirrors the culture and hand picked with love. Simple yet, sophisticated. The people who work here are pleasant, sweet and knowledgeable about all the dishes that are homemade. The dumplings are light, airy and flavorful. Don't forget to add pepper. The assorted Pkhali is colorful and fills your mouth with joy. Please order the basket of bread first so it finishes baking in time when your meals get served. Its meant for dipping. Coming here feels like home, being greeted by mom and dad is the chef. Really a great local eatery that should thrive if given a chance. Support small businesses because some of them really deserve it. Cheers!!

We really enjoyed this lovely family restaurant. The proprietor was eager to assist with menu and with selection. The food was hearty and delicious. The portions were very good for the price and I am returning home with another full meal. Good stuff! We will be back!

On an unusually warm day in March, they set up the classy outdoor seating. I asked the server for recommendations - the menu is great for sharing and trying lots of different dishes, but I didn't want to overwhelm myself with too many calories. She was a gem and suggested: Eggplant Pkhali - I really love this vegan dip of eggplant, walnuts, roasted onion, garlic, coriander, pomegranate molasses, cilantro and pomegranate. It comes with fresh bread, that is crunchy outside and pillowy soft inside. It's perfection, refreshing, toothsome, and vegan! Khinkali - beef and pork soup dumplings were well folded, savory, and soupy on the inside. Red currant mocktails - pretty and refreshing! They also have an extensive wine, beer, and cocktail menu. I have also been here for lunch and had a number of other dips and salads and loved what I got. Chama Mama is great for a date or friends. I believe they will rent out the full restaurant for events. The vibe feels upscale yet simple, and everything is delicious. Prices are in the teens for appetizers and $30+ per entree. Recommend.

Beet salad was a hit served with big chunks of tender beets. I'm not sure if they boiled and chilled the beets or used another technique to soften them up, but it came out nicely. This time we opted for the khachapuri imeruli. It was delicious. I've yet to come across a khachapuri that I've disliked. Dough was crispy and flakey. Cheese was melty and gooey. Always such a cozy delight. We had the khinkali again - this time with cheese filling. It's a nice vegetarian friendly option, but I prefer the meat or vegetable blend fillings. Cheese in the khinkali was similar to the khachapuri, so it was redundant to order the two together. Would definitely recommend the khinkali but would pick a different filling if you're getting khachapuri. For the main course, we shared the shkmeruli - a roasted chicken in a creamy garlic sauce. I've seen this listed as chicken tabaka elsewhere. It was excellent! Less garlicky than the one I had a Saperavi earlier in the week. Chicken was juicy but the sauce was the star. We dipped the nipples of the khinkali in the sauce to maximize usage. Good list of Georgian wines. Full bar plus some beers including a Georgian one. Service brought out the dishes in a well paced manner. They were very patient as we lounged in their backyard. It was a very comfortable outdoor dining set up. There is one, spacious single occupancy restroom.

Our impressively friendly waitress packaged that up like a military operation. It was AMAZING!!! The interior? Meh. Cool art but nothing too special -- but you won't even care because you'll be too busy slurping down the heavenly food that was blessed by the Georgian mountains or something!! It's comfy enough. I loved it so much! I will come again. I didn't take any food pictures because I don't believe in food bloggers and my sausage fingers frequently prevent me from taking decent pictures. But I did snap a shot of the lemonade which looked a little radioactive but was absolutely delicious. If you're thinking about it, just go! Rip the band aid off and ascend to food enlightenment.

The cheeseboat is perfect for one person, but it can get a bit heavy from all the cheese. In the last few weeks, I have been to three Georgian restaurants, and this one may be the antithesis to everything I have tried up to this point. Because this restaurant is in Williamsburg, expect some hipster flair with some great food. Fortunately, Cheeseboat delivers on both fronts. This is the restaurant that introduced me to Khinkali, or Georgian soup dumplings. Six to a plate, these are outrageously, sinfully, delicious. Not terribly hot, but have terrific flavor that are not filling at all. Everybody should order these when they come here. The Shkmeruli is terrific as well. Full of flavor, amazing spice, the chicken is moist and juicy. I easily butchered this because I did not want to leave any meat on the bone. Unfortunately, the bread it comes with is a bit salty for my liking, but the chicken is the star, and that is why it can be recommended. Of course, you know what is coming next. I have been on the hunt for Khachapuri since I cannot get enough of this bread now. Everything I said previously I rescind (kidding), but seriously. This is dynamic. It is hot and stays hot. So much cheesy flavor and full of deliciousness I could not stop eating it. It is good for one person. This is not to be shared. I would like to take a moment to recognize my server, Liza, now. Pretty, exuberant, full of joy and confidence, with an intelligent aura around her, I think I fell in love with her each time she passed my table. Sonny from the film, "A Bronx Tale" once said every man meets three great women in their lifetime. Sometimes they come all once, sometimes they come around every 10 years. She is definitely someone who is going to make someone very happy one day. It was a joy to have her serve me. How often have I been giving out five star reviews lately? A lot, I know. However, you deserve the truth, and this restaurant does not tell a lie. Liza and all, this is the five star experience.
