He is not your typical salesman who's just trying to close a deal. He genuinely cares about his customers and takes the time to understand what they're looking for. The two RVs we originally came to see had already been sold, but instead of trying to push us into something outside of our budget, Nick searched through the inventory and found us the perfect match. We absolutely loved it and ended up purchasing it. He was patient, attentive, honest, and never made us feel pressured. We truly couldn't appreciate him more. Unfortunately, once we moved past the sales process, our experience changed. We waited about 2 1/2 hours to complete our purchase. While we understand that dealerships can get busy, there was never an acknowledgment or apology for the long wait. Even a simple "Sorry for the delay" or a small gesture of appreciation something as simple as a complimentary set of camping chairs or another goodwill accommodation, would have gone a long way in making us feel valued as customers. Our interaction with Alex in finance was also disappointing. The process felt rushed, and when we asked if he could match the financing rate from our pre-approval, he seemed irritated rather than willing to discuss our options. Buying an RV is a major investment, and we expected to feel like our questions were welcome instead of feeling like we were inconveniencing someone. I don't usually leave negative reviews because I know everyone has difficult days, but I also think it's important to share an honest experience. Nick made this purchase happen, and without him, we likely would have walked away. He is a tremendous asset to Camping World and deserves recognition for the level of customer service he provides. For anyone planning to buy from Camping World, here are a few tips: - Ask for Nick- pictured here! he truly puts his customers first. - Get pre-approved for financing before you arrive. - Let the dealership know ahead of time if you already have financing. - Make sure you have RV insurance lined up before delivery, as proof of insurance is required. Despite the frustrations we experienced after the sale, we're excited about our new RV and are grateful that Nick made the buying experience enjoyable. Thank you, Nick, for your patience, professionalism, and genuine care.

The pricing also seemed much higher than other dealers. Interestingly, after I had already made a deal elsewhere, they suddenly reached out and offered to match the competitor's price. My advice is to do your homework before buying here. Don't rely on the MSRP or the advertised sale price, as there may be much more room for negotiation than they initially let on. With better communication and more transparent pricing from the start, this could have been a much better experience.

(I may remove this review, possibly replace it depending on if it is rectified)…read more I want to caution anyone considering Camping World in Colton, CA, especially if you're financing. I walked in with a 763 credit score, which should qualify as Tier 1(They said I was Tier 3) with any reputable lender. During the sales pitch, I was told that best-case financing would be 6.99% APR with a $1,000 down payment -- resulting in a monthly payment of around $153 for 72 months. They also shared a worst-case scenario of 18% APR, with payments around $205/month for the same term. After they ran my credit (with full permission), they came back with what they called a "killer deal" -- claiming this was the best I could get with my credit. What was the offer? 11.99% APR for 144 months, with a $1,499 down payment and a $164/month payment. Total cost? Over $23,000 for a $9,999 camper trailer. That's MORE THAN DOUBLE the price of the RV. When I questioned it, they told me I was somehow Tier 3--which is just blatantly inaccurate for someone with a 763 score. It feels like a classic bait-and-switch. They led with hypotheticals that looked decent, then made the worst-case numbers even worse! Bottom line: Be extremely careful. They push long-term, high-interest loans that benefit them far more than you. Very unethical and just plain WRONG. I strongly recommend shopping around with a credit union or trusted bank before signing anything here.

Refrigerator fell into cabinetry in transit on trip three and I had to go buy a large cooler to fit all our food and breast milk for my toddler and infant. Entry door never operated smoothly, and felt like we would rip the inside handle off trying to pull the door closed, and you could see where the factory tried to cover up the misaligned plates/door with sharpie marker. I mentioned this to Tony, my service writer, and he noted everything accurately. He knew exactly what I was asking about and addressed all my questions when I dropped my trailer off. He knew we had a trip booked the week after I had dropped the trailer off and said he would do his best to get the trailer out by then. I was informed the whole time of progress, when the unit went into the bay, when diag was done, and all they were waiting for was Jayco auth. Once auth received, work was done quickly and I had the rig back way before my trip began so I could move everything back in and make sure all was ok. Refrigerator is mounted securely now. The doors open so smoothly, we didn't even know the difficult of closing the fridge before was an indication of the poorly mounted appliance. The dinette table is very secure to the wall. The entry door opens and closes with a just finger now. We are very satisfied with how CW serviced our trailer. The appointment to get in was available next day, and the rig was ready within a week. Thank you again.

The whole office was very attentive while we made our purchase in December 2025. We bought a brand new 2026 class A motorhome. We ended up adding the extended warranty, which we immediately regretted, we have had so much trouble getting that to show up in our account. It was a stupid overpriced purchase, but we did it, and took the hit. Mike in finance said not to worry, he would be there to help us out with anything. The morning we picked up the motorhome with its "red carpet" walk-through event, the guy going over the motorhome had just started that morning, he knew nothing about our rig. We asked questions about the wineguard router, which was a big selling point, he said it wasn't necessary to use that- just use your phone as a hotspot... he didn't know if we had hydraulic levels or not. He didn't know if there was a dashcam. He didn't look these things up, just told us we will figure it out We took a long trip for the holidays and were making a list of questions for them. Luckily, on the one month anniversary of our purchase, Mike from finance called and asked how it was going. We thanked him for his call and started with our list of questions. He said he would have someone from service call us with the answers. We never heard from him again. We already had a service appointment for mid February. So we brought the rig with our list. Casey went through the whole list with us, he seemed to understand what we were asking. He said to leave it there, it may take a week or two. We had completely cleaned it before dropping it off, including emptying the black tank and the gray tank. We made sure the tanks were empty and flushed. This was important to us. Casey called the next day to clarify some things. After 4 weeks, we called Casey to see how things were going. We were told Casey was no longer with the company, so the service manager would callus. Nobody was working on it that entire month. We had to go through the whole list again and it was clear not much would be happening. We picked it up another 2 weeks later, everything was half ass and cheat. But we wanted to get our rig out of there. So we picked it up mid March and took it to our storage place and parked it. Now 2 months later we picked it up from storage to go on trip. We noticed the black tank shows 2/3 full. They must have been using it as an outhouse the whole six weeks it was there. Now their shit has been sitting in it for 2 months, exactly what we were avoiding. We didn't think to check when we picked it up. WTF! So I called the General Manager, he made sure to introduce himself when we were buying the RV. Now he send the call to voicemail and doesn't return the call. I called Michael in Finance, guess what?! He is no longer with the company! So not only is it a caca company, they Literally piled pounds of their caca into our RV and left it for us to deal with. They show no respect for their customers once the sale is complete. Do Not Buy Here. They'll caca all over you. Grab your wallet and RUN away. I hope this helps somebody. -Laura

Our expectations were (and always should be) weary on such a large purchase and dealerships often have a way of leaving a bad taste in your mouth. After dealing with Chloe and Will, I can say I recommend doing business with them. I was pretty straight to the point about my expectations and they were able to make it happen with very little headache. Extended service contract offers and add-Ons are going to be a sell, no matter where you go, but we found a solution that worked for us through our deal and in the end, we have the RV we always dreamed of owning. Will, ensured that the additional items that were negotiated in the deal were delivered to my house as promised. Chloe was very responsive throughout the process and would always call or text back quickly. Each visit was pleasant and when someone didn't know the answer they were honest and didn't BS. They made effort to fix minor details we had issues with. Overall, a good experience and I would recommend.

And I've never had such a wonderful group of guys work with me like the folks at Mike Thompson RV did. From the first moment we walked on their lot until the time we drove away in our new motor home, it was ALL good! Clint is a low pressure salesman who let us wander through the lot without pressure. Super nice fella as well! When we found the one we wanted, Chris and Anthony worked extremely hard to get a great price and extraordinarily good financing package for us as well. Josh was perfect at adapting the RV to our liking and was patient with us as we asked questions during the walk through. David was so kind to help Colton get the motor home out of the lot and give some driving instructions. I highly recommend Mike Thompson RV in Cathedral City especially these 5 guys! We bought our first motorhome at another dealership that had many locations and is extremely well-known. They weren't near as helpful as the guys at Mike's place were. We love the new motorhome and we will give them all of our future business as well as recommend them to everyone we know in the market for an RV. Thanks again guys, y'all are the best in the west!

Then there is Josh the blatant liar who lied to me in text when I was confirming that the due bill work had been completed and our RV was ready for delivery. He was even stupid enough to send me a picture of work that had not been done, while telling me it was actually done. Mind you, we were CASH PAYING CUSTOMERS. We had to beg for wiring information, Chris and Anthony downright ignored my requests for Extended warranty information. Josh flat out lied, both verbally and in writing. Our new RV was scratched when it was taken out for fuel. It was delivered with a chip and crack in the windshield and an aqua hot system that required over $2k in repairs just days after we took delivery. These people are liars, they are dismissive, demeaning, and disrespectful.
