I honestly can't say enough good things about this dealership. I have purchased over 100 vehicles in my lifetime in business. And I've never had such a wonderful group of guys work with me like the folks at Mike Thompson RV did. From the first moment we walked on their lot until the time we drove away in our new motor home, it was ALL good! Clint is a low pressure salesman who let us wander through the lot without pressure. Super nice fella as well! When we found the one we wanted, Chris and Anthony worked extremely hard to get a great price and extraordinarily good financing package for us as well. Josh was perfect at adapting the RV to our liking and was patient with us as we asked questions during the walk through. David was so kind to help Colton get the motor home out of the lot and give some driving instructions. I highly recommend Mike Thompson RV in Cathedral City especially these 5 guys! We bought our first motorhome at another dealership that had many locations and is extremely well-known. They weren't near as helpful as the guys at Mike's place were. There is absolutely nothing go to say about this location or the lying, incompetent, lazy employees, especially Josh, who did nothing but lie to us in person and in text when it came to the delivery of our RV and the outstanding due bill. Chris the sales manager is the most dismissive person around. He does not give one shit about his clients, and it clearly showed. Anthony the finance manager, lacks empathy in his apologies when confronted with the poor treatment received by Chris, and the absolute lack of communication, and blatant dismissal of my requests. Then there is Josh the blatant liar who lied to me in text when I was confirming that the due bill work had been completed and our RV was ready for delivery. He was even stupid enough to send me a picture of work that had not been done, while telling me it was actually done. Mind you, we were CASH PAYING CUSTOMERS. We had to beg for wiring information, Chris and Anthony downright ignored my requests for Extended warranty information. Josh flat out lied, both verbally and in writing. Our new RV was scratched when it was taken out for fuel. It was delivered with a chip and crack in the windshield and an aqua hot system that required over $2k in repairs just days after we took delivery. These people are liars, they are dismissive, demeaning, and disrespectful. If you are wise, you will run like hell from this Mike Thompson's RV because if they allow just one location to be this dishonest and deceitful, I am sure they will allow it at all of their locations. read more

Extremely poor customer service. In May 2024, Chris was initially assisted my wife and I when we purchased a brand new Grand Design. I had an appointment scheduled and when I arrived, I noticed the rig was hooked up with the A/C's running and ready to tour. My wife and I went into the camper and looked around, about 15 minutes after my appointment, I went to try to go find this Chris guy and I walked into his office and he was playing a game on his phone. That should have been my first red flag to leave and go somewhere else. Once I finally negotiated a price with Chris, and got back to the finance guy, Anthony things were a little better until I was contacted 3-4 different times the next couple of days b/c he kept typing the paper incorrectly. I purchased a travel trailer and I have a credit score of 780 but I should have took my business elsewhere! ****update I have sent Anthony three emails in early January 2025 to cancel my extended warranty and now as of today, 1 March 2025, I STILL haven't heard back from Anthony on the progress of my cancellation. Two-time customer. Stopped by today with my new Mercedes GLE350 to verify the factory towing package trailer light connection was working. Three salesmen, no customers. I asked if I could hookup a trailer's electrical cord to my car to verify the car trailer wiring was installed. I was completely rebuffed- told to go elsewhere. Even though they didn't have to do anything, they told me, a two-time customer, to go elsewhere. I couldn't believe they would treat someone so poorly. Our first trip out we discovered that the generator did not work correctly, and the transfer switch for the inverter kept needing to be reset every time it was used. We took it to a local RV repair shop and kept getting the run around, it was not repaired. We then took it to the MT shop in Colton and it was still not repaired correctly, and our extended warranty did not want to cover the costs. We called Sher who went out of her way to call the insurance company and the repair shop in Colton. We ended up picking up the RV and taking it to a shop near the Mike Thompson RV lot in Cathedral City per Sher's recommendation. She had already spoken to the shop and made arrangements for us to drop it off. It was fixed that day! Sher took care of everything for us! She went out of her way to make her customers happy, and she did. I would recommend Mike Thompsons in Cathedral City to anyone looking for an RV. I purchased a Dash Cover the beginning of November 2024, I was asked on November 18 by a Cyndy Santacroce Operations Manager if I could send pictures of our dash, so I sent through text and email and never no response, Three weeks later Dec, 10 I asked if shipped or status, nothing no answer, so started calling different numbers and finally talked to a Dave, he had to get a hold of this Cyndy and find out why it was never sent to the manufacturing part. Come to find out they can not make one for my coach, so he said he would refund the payment, two days later and no refund, so I had to file with the Better Business Bureau and file a Non received with Credit Card company. I should of did my research before I ever ordered from them as with only a 1 star rating. I would never make another purchase through them read more

I bought a new RV that needed some corrections before I took ownership: the bed drop-down, solar panel, and the Ford cab AC blew hot. I was assured that they are a distinguished sales company that will repair everything prior to my pu pickup. I called three times during the week to get an answer on whether the bed would be fixed in time for pickup. I was told it should be, and they were working on it. On the day of pick up, the bed didn't work during the walk around. The AC was supposedly something loose they tightened up to fix, but the solar was working. I'm handy, and I gave my address to the maintenance department so they could send me the new switch to install. Here I am a month later, and no one knows what I'm talking about. I tried contacting the only email I had, which was the finance department, and they didn't help us contact the right person. Also, the finance department is practicing illegal sales tactics. After talking with a friend, I found out you can not stipulate that you will get a better interest rate if you purchase RV protection plans (2), and tricking someone into gap insurance isn't right. That is some shady business practice. And now I bought the switch to get my bed working myself with no help from them, also now my AC in the Ford cab is blowing hot again. The newest issue is the self-leveling system needs to be fixed. I'm sure that I will be in the shop for a year if I can't get a bed switch in a month. I'm heading out on our maiden trip in 2 weeks, and I'd like to know what else could go wrong. Just disappointed in my experience with my purchase, I expected more out of an RV shop. read more

We have to agree that their service is great when they want to get a unit sold but after that it's nonexistent. After reading Tiffin social media like Fb page and hearing the delivery process from other dealers, it is night and day. From the start with walk thru, letting you park on their lot to get the first punch list to putting a giant bow on RV when it's delivered. We've had issues since the first weekend we took it out and when we called for help, they made us feel their hands were washed since the deal was done or they wouldn't answer phone. Maybe it's not a big deal to some but after purchasing a brand new $400k coach there we left feeling no better than buying a $10k car on craigslist. It was our first and picking it up left a lot to be desired. That said, we will not purchase there again. read more

Sher, Carl, and Dave were so helpful and friendly. As you can imagine purchasing a Motorhome in this environment is challenging at best but they made it as easy as possible. We bought our new Travato 59k from Rich and we couldn't be happier! We love the van of course, but what made our experience 5 stars was our experience with Rich, Jamie and Mark. The team was attentive and very helpful. We camped for 2 days in a nearby resort for our shakeout. Rich actually escorted us to the resort in his car! All of our questions were answered and we were made to feel safe in asking ANY question. . Rich followed up with phone calls every few hours to ask how we were doing. We purchased a an Rv a couple weeks ago from This location, We are very unsatisfied!! Before we purchased it we asked Specific for thing that was show it to us that comes with the coach which is the WiFi's Amplifier. We know we need to pay for the service, but WiFi Amplifier should be in it !! It's Not , then the windows shades are Not covered the windows! They are stocked and doesn't work , light and comes in , people can see through it , we can't move it ! The side door of the coach, Opens while we were driving in the highway, the Lock pop out and the door doesn't shut right without a hard hit or a hard push . The Cabinets in the coach opens very easily and the ones at the bedside doesn't lineup or stay shut. Very unsatisfied!!! For the price we paid this is unacceptable!! We called there to let them know all this and the Manager told us we have to bring the coach back, so she can look at it !! During the week! Very aggravated !! My husband Works every day from till 6:00pm , So if we have to bring it in we have to loose work!! We can't!! We are very very unsatisfied! We thinking to bringing in and Returning to them , and go somewhere else !! read more

Very pleased with after sale support. Bought a used 2021 Delano with "no warranty" and had an excellent buying experience with Jamie. We went on first "trip" and discovered that the water heater wasn't working. Can't really check until you actually use it. Since we were far from the Cathedral City, we had to spent $300.00 trying to discover the problem. Once back in town, it was still not working, we contacted Jamie and manager Char. Took a week for parts, but they fixed it and didn't charge us. We thought this was very fair considering that we knew we were purchasing a no warranty coach. Thank you for stepping up. read more

Just bought a brand new toyhauler from these jokers. The deal was OK. But the salesman and entire staff are a joke. My wife nicknamed the salesman "Swiper". Because he kept swiping things from different trailers that were missing from ours. We didn't pick our unit up for three weeks and sure enough ours had stuff swiped from it as well. Took three weeks because there were multiple things wrong with it that they agreed to fix but took their time to do so. Eventually they called us and said we had to pick it up that day or else. I don't what "else" meant. They will not budge much on their price and they will try to make you feel like they are losing money on the deal. Hahahahahahaha. Don't even bother trying to talk to the manager. Asked the sales guy numerous times and he just kept ignoring the request. read more

I couldn't agree more with the other reviews. Upon arrival we saw several people sitting outside on their phones. Reluctantly one sales person chose to show us around. He made it very apparent he thought we were wasting his time. It's 110 out here, we wouldn't be walking around looking at RVs if we weren't serious. He was sarcastic and rude and when we inquired about other RVs he made it pretty clear he did not want to take the time to show them to us. Even IF we saw one we liked, we would never give them our business. News flash, people in their late 20s have money to spend.
