Karvers is one of those places you can go to when you want a nice meal out, and don't want to risk being irritated by bad service, or disappointed by bad food. Service is always pleasant, and food is consistent. The menu is varied. Particularly like their Mac & Cheese, which is a huge portion especially when topped (I like the pulled pork myself). Apps and drinks are also good. The menu is a bit "odd" in their choices for some combinations (for example, a patty melt on WHITE bread, a BBQ burger with pepper-jack instead of cheddar, or Fish & Chips that come with "crisps" instead of "chips".) Because the menu clearly reads "substitutions rejected" it makes you hesitant to ask them for a more mainstream pairing. Selection of beers is great, and the bartending is good (though I think they could be a little more generous with the pour when it comes to mixed drinks). Despite these few issues (and they're minor, really), we keep going back because it's good, and it's consistent (which is hard to find lately). read more

WOW! Stop what you're doing, stop what you're eating and go to Karvers right now! I've been wanting to go here for a while and kept putting it off...I'm so mad at myself for doing that....but the best things in life are worth waiting for! My boyfriend and I started with nachos topped with BBQ chicken as an appetizer. It was delicious and the portion was HUGE! It could have easily been our meal. The cubed chicken pieces were so tender and loaded with flavor! The guacamole on top was delicious and fresh. Everything about this nachos was great. It delivered a fiesta in my mouth! Mmmmm For my entree I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. It was grilled chicken with pecan bacon, pesto mayo, lettuce, tomato and onion on a roll. I was so full from the nachos that I was only able to eat a few bites of this delicious sandwich. The chicken was grilled perfectly. The pecan bacon....OMG....amazing! Anything with bacon is delicious in my book! The pesto mayo drizzled on top was yummy! With my sandwich I got onion rings. These onion rings were HUGE! They were fried perfectly. Very crispy and flavorful. My boyfriend ordered the pulled pork sandwich. It was served with onion straws and coleslaw. He was also only able to eat a few bites because he was full from the nachos. HOWEVER it was amazing! The pork was seasoned nicely and cooked perfectly. Mmmm! With his sandwich he got sweet potato fries. They were good and not salty at all! The dipping sauce that came with the fries was sweet and delicious! The music playing was great. A wide range of everything. Service was great too. Warning - do not alter any toppings on any of the burgers on the menu. If you do you get charged per topping as a "build your own" burger. My $14 burger was $22 tonight because I added a fried egg to it. A fried egg is about $2 on the menu; but they charge for all the original toppings that were on the burger a la carte. I love this place, I'd give it 5 stars if it wasn't for things like this that make an otherwise enjoyable dinner regretful. The short: perfect place for local, casual, tasty American eats. The longer: we came here on a Monday night, and were surprised to see the restaurant packed and bar seats all taken. We waited 20 minutes at the bar, while enjoying some rosè. We sat at a high top booth near the bar. The space is loud and there are tons of TVs, but you can still hear your friends at the table. We shared two apps: the loaded cheese fries and jumbo Bavarian pretzel. I highly recommend both. Both were HUGE. I could've honestly skipped dinner after the apps. I ordered the Greek quinoa salad. It was good, but I was too fully to enjoy it... and I forgot my leftovers in the car so I couldn't even enjoy them the next day! :( I highly recommend this spot and would come back if I was in the area. read more

Been here a few times before and gain recently for dinner. Not much has changed , great place for drinks and apps but not for food overall. The food is consistently over cooked whether a burger , pork chop , chicken or steak. Burgers come out like dry hockey pucks my pork chop tasted like an old boot that had been left in the desert. They have an extensive menu, A lot to choose from. The beer selection is good as well. The burger I got was really good. The one knock I will give them is that they don't have a physical beer list, only one screen (in the whole place) displays the beers. Honestly, everything we've had here blows us away. My wife and I have gone 3 times and always been impressed. The food is always on point. The Karvers fries are always crisp and flavorful. Their skirt steak is rich and tender. The mac and cheese is balanced and filling. Really filling. My wife had the taco bowl last time and she enjoyed it a lot. I had the Dixie Smokehouse burger and honestly couldn't believe how good it was. I went on and on about it for a good minute. The craft beer menu is respectable and the cocktails are inventive. The tab can run up fast though if it's not happy hour. Service has been friendly and accommodating. They are wary if you have any food allergies. It's very busy, but good places usually are. There are so many great choices on this menu it is hard to choose! Karver's offers a notable bar program with seasonal cocktails. When we were there I had a great Pumpkin Mule, so I'm curious to see what drinks they'll whip up for the winter! Devoured the Irish Spring Roll and Mac and Cheese Fritters. Both were large, delicious portions that are great for sharing. The Dutch Man Burger was everything I want- a beef burger topped with smoked gouda cheese, sauteed mushrooms, carmalized onions, and bacon, and was cooked to medium rare perfection. We stopped here for lunch while traveling. It was a cool place! Good menu with a lot of options for lunch-- for example they have more burger choices than most. We started with 'disco fries' -- apparently Long Island's form of poutine. Lots of cheese and good gravy. The bf ordered the smokehouse burger, which he really enjoyed, and he subbed regular fries for sweet potato fries. I was stealing these as they were quite tasty. I ordered a chicken sandwich with pesto mayo, bacon, lettuce/tomato/onion. Something I don't always get, but I love pesto and it worked well here. The chips side was a little over the top in regards to quantity, but no complaints here! Would visit again if we're ever in the area again. read more

Today we went back to Karvers, we felt that maybe they were having a bad day. What a pleasant surprise. Our server was Anna, and she could not be more professional. She was friendly and attended to every need. Her smile was infectious! We began with a Ceaser salad that we ended up splitting because it was so bib. The dressing was great, and we enjoyed it. I came here for a bridal shower recently. Elegant yet rustic, this is a great location for a relatively private private party. The doors for the private room in the back even close to make for an even more intimate experience. Wait staff is friendly, patient and accomadating, made it a wonderful experience. The food is delicious. I had the french onion soup, and salmon in mustard sauce with veggies and mashed potatos. The french onion soup was very tasty but I would have liked to see a little bit more broth and less onions and bread crust. The flavor was good, not too salty. The Salmon was moist, cooked perfectly! The mustard sauce was delicious and didn't overwhelm the salmon but rather complimented it greatly. The veggies were delicious but a little greasy and the mashed potatos were delicious but a little more buttery then I'm used to. Although everything was delicious, overall I did find my meal to be a little rich and buttery. The only problem I found is that it does smell a little bit like wood inside. I went here with a friend and I'm so happy that we came across this restaurant! The menu is insane - there are so many options that you can literally get anything you want and it's all delicious. The fall cocktails are awesome and innovative - my friend had an apple cider mimosa that was light & refreshing and I had some pumpkin fizz drink that was really good. The appetizers are great, the bavarian pretzel with beer cheese was delish and I was eyeing nachos at the table next to us that looked pretty dope. For dinner, highly suggest the bbq chicken flatbread - it was delicious and such a large helping - I got to take home leftovers which was great. The Karver's fries were crispy and garlicky and it came with garlic aioli which is *chef's kiss*. My friend had the french dip sandwich and it was also massive. Definitely get your money's worth!! I enjoy Karvers! However, my girlfriend cannot due to Celiacs Disease. They have ZERO gluten free options on their menu and when asked they were pretty adamant with NOT having any options at all. With that tone, we even hesitated to order a salad. It's 2020 and the food industry has exploded.
