Karvers has a very large menu, so I wouldn't hurt to take a look at it online before you go. Reservations are highly recommended. They have large booths which are great for a party of 6. The food is always tasty and the drinks are well made. If you're not sure what to get, try a burger, or their special burger. Always great! But a warning, during the busy times, the restaurant gets very noisy, so don't expect a quiet family dinner. read more

I'd heard great thing about Karvers from several people and finally gave it a whirl for myself with two friends. The staff were amazing, especially our server Brandon. He was genuinely sweet and very accommodating. Checked on us regularly even though he was very busy with multiple tables. The menu is vast and it was difficult to choose a meal! Went with the short ribs which were the epitome of perfection ( everyone can't pull off short ribs). The drinks were yummy and we all had a great time! Came here (again) for a bon voyage/ retirement dinner. the food never ever disappoints I always usually get the short ribs , today I tried something different I went with the Ahi tuna... Karvers not only has great food, their service was awesome. My waitress Deanna was very informative since it was my first time dining at Karvers. Very friendly and knowledgeable since I always need help picking my entrees. There's seems to be a lot of staff on hand to keep the guest happy. Last night my guy and I traveled from Nassau to this gem of a restaurant and let me just say it was worth the 45min drive! We had an amazing server named Micheal who went above and beyond! You can tell he's someone who truly enjoys his job and food took his time to get to know us really made us feel welcome! We got the tater kegs appetizer (delicious), I got the Dutch man burger with sweet potato fries that was served with a maple aioli (best burger I have had out in a very long time), and then my guy went Michaels recommendation with was the short rib sandwich add mozzarella and a fried egg and swapped the side for Karver fries (was out of this world)! Was first trip of many to come can't wait to go back! And the atmosphere is pretty great too! read more

This place completely outperformed expectations for what my girlfriend and I thought was going to be just a standard bar and grill. The specialty cocktails were a little too overly-syruped and contrived, which got us worried for our meal. The disco fries were good: melted mozz and a delicious gravy (which we asked our extremely awesome waiter) for a cup of. When our waiter told us the specials, one was a porterhouse steak topped with truffle-horseradish butter and a fried egg. Well, sign me up! Totally worth the price. Delicious steak, and topping it with a fried egg just adds to the party. The side of broccoli rabe was a little underdone, and broccoli rabe isn't really my thing anyway, but the steak was exemplary. My girlfriend ordered the pecan-bacon mac and cheese which was surprisingly good and creamy, with a good bacon topping. The entrees were the star of the show, and for sure the reason we'll be coming back. The desserts were very solid. Her peanut butter dessert wasn't bad, and my apple crisp was good, but you could safely skip dessert and not miss out. The online menu had Italian cheesecake, which is one of my personal favorites, so I was a little disappointed to see they didn't have it on the menu in the restaurant itself. Oh well. Live music was excellent for the night, a little guitar/singer duo called "Story Spun," which was just loud enough to hear over the crowd but soft enough as to not be intrusive to conversation. One word: TASTELESS. I ordered the salmon with mixed vegetables and replaced the mashed potatoes with rice. The rice and mixed vegetables were both bland and had no seasoning whatsoever. I rarely add salt to anything I order, but this plate definitely needed something. The salmon was the ultimate letdown: so dry and chewy (2 things salmon should never be). It had a creamy mustard sauce that added some flavor, but it could not fix the dryness of that salmon. The ambience was also not great, extremely difficult to talk to someone sitting across from you as it is so loud. Do not come here if you're looking for a romantic dinner and conversation. read more

The french dip is a go to menu item I love to order and I was very impressed with the execution of this sandwich. I chose sweet potato fries as my side (for a small up-charge)...they were kind of bland, but the dipping sauce it came with was great. During my second visit we decided on the Buffalo Chicken Flat Bread & Mozzarella Sticks as apps...much much better then our first visits apps! The Buffalo Chicken Flat Bread was excellent...my favorite part was the perfect subtle char left of the bottom of the bread, so amazing. Decided on getting the Flat Bread with Ranch instead of the blue cheese dressing, and they were more than accommodating our request. The Mozzarella Sticks were amazing as well... 5 out of 5. They came out pipping hot, the cheese was melted to ooey gooey perfection! And the marinara dipping sauce was fabulous! Overall I was EXTREMELY impressed with our second round of apps... it's all about what you order and I will definitely be ordering the flat bread and mozz sticks on my next visit to Karvers! For dinner I had to get the French Dip again and it was just as perfect as the first visit. My boyfriend got the 14oz Sirloin Steak and he loved it. I give this restaurant a 3.5. They have a great variety of food and pretty good drinks. Not a huge variety for kids, I have an 11 year old and she had a hard time finding something of her liking. She ended up sharing my pasta with me after she sent her salmon back. I had the fettuccine pasta with Cajun shrimp and chicken. The shrimp were def Cajun but I didn't taste the Cajun chicken. The sauce on the pasta was one to be desired. I had the blood orange martini which tasted extra fresh and a sangria that I wasn't too crazy about. Amazing!!!!! I cannot say enough good things about this place. We came on a Saturday night with the expectations of waiting 40 minutes. After waiting 10 minutes we were brought to our table. The waitress Amanda was very sweet. Asked if we had any allergies (which I've never heard anyone ask). Brought us our apps and drinks promptly. The manager then came over to check on us. Helped clear the table of the apps. Very very very friendly staff. Now to the food. I ordered the rib eye. Delicious!!!! Someone got the shrimp, clams and mussels pasta. She loved it.
