Brandon was great so was everything else. Came for happy hour and were served quickly which was great at a packed bar. Sat at a booth with Brandon and he was so good from start to finish. Mac and cheese was creamy. Taco salad bowl was HUGE. The pulled pork nachos were covered in BBQ which had such a good flavor to it, not too sweet not too spiced. We also tried the steak and ravioli special of the night and it didn't disappoint. First time here and we will definitely be returning, over and over. read more

Dined here on a recent Saturday evening. Got there about 5:30, and there was already a half-hour wait for two. Waited at the bar for about 15 minutes. Good bar, knowledgeable bartender who made a good beer recommendation. Once seated in the dining room, it was overly loud. On multiple occasions my wife and I couldn't hear each other. She ordered the fettuccine alfredo (the signature dish) with chicken and I had the philly cheesesteak sandwich. Service was attentive and helpful. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Portions were large. The cheesesteak had good flavor and the bun was delicious. The fettuccine however left something to be desired. The cheese flavor of the sauce was very muted, and the chicken was similarly bland. Overall I would give Karvers another chance. Perhaps it was an off night for the "signature dish", the cheesesteak and service were good enough to earn another shot. read more

Ate lunch at Karvers Grill for the first time today and it was quite nice. We were greeted and seated quickly and politely. The menu had lots of choices and it was very easy to find something good to eat. We got an appetizer (mashed potato balls I think) and they were excellent! I really enjoyed Karvers. It is apparent that this place is managed and run very well. I noticed right away that the staff had nice uniforms that were professional. Additionally, managers were walking around ensuring service was excellent. Alright enough about that, the decor of this place is great, it has a gastropub feel with a local restaurant vibe. They spared no expense when building this place and it shows in the details. They boast a pretty large menu and seem to be able to accommodate any size crowd. Ok, on to the food, I was impressed! The wife and I had burgers, we were blown away by how fresh they were and cooked to perfection. Karvers draws a big crowd, even on weeknights which tells you they are doing something right. If your scrolling through yelp looking for someplace new to eat, I highley reccomend you check them out, you may have just found your new favorite spot! read more

I love Karvers and have been there many times. We also have ordered for take out as well. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because of inconsistency. There have been a few times where I ordered the pulled pork mac n cheese, and, sometimes it's absolutely delicious and appetizing, whereas other times it's been soupy and the pulled pork was a little burnt. However, aside from that small thing, this place is good and we will continue to return! I love the atmosphere. You can go here for a nice date, or, you can catch the game at the bar and drink a beer with a friend. Also, the bartenders are always super friendly and accommodating. Someone came back said its pre made, orange juice already in there. A rum punch is not usually difficult to make by hand..... Asked for water, no ice, recieved water with ice and lemon.....water was never refilled, even though it was empty. I ordered cheeseburger, American cheese... No bun, no lettuce, no tomatoes, no onions, no pickles, no coleslaw.... I said again, just meat and American cheese and French fries. Came out with no bun, but enduring else, they had to remake, pickle juice everywhere.... When they brought it out, it was good, but fries were cold, i couldn't when at that point... Wasnt the only one, another person ordered salad burger and burger and onion straws were cold and brought back to be remade. read more

This place came highly recommended and i decided to take my mom for her 79th birthday. i cant tell you how disappointed we were. i had the Shepards pie, it came in a skillet with a ball of mashed potatoes in the middle, and anybody that knows how to make Shepards pie, this is not even close.It had beef with carrots and the peas floating around the ball of mashed potatoes along the sides of the skillet. The peas were under cooked. my mother had the beer braised short ribs that came with vegetables, the short ribs were very bland and the vegetables were over cooked. we had the irish spring roll as an appetizer, the cornbeef had no taste and you had to dip it in the mustard to get some sort of flavor on your palate. All in all a total disappointment and i will NOT recommend this place to anybody. Karve this place off your list on places to visit. P.S the waitress was the only pleasant experience. read more

We wanted to try somewhere new and this place looked good!! It's going to get 4 stars from me. The service was excellent! Carolyn was a super nice waitress and made it a very pleasant experience. I ordered the Greek quinoa salad with salmon. The salad was excellent. It was fresh and a nice portion, beautifully presented. I wish the salmon was grilled or a little better prepared, but other then that this meal was great. My boyfriend had the ribeye special and he really enjoyed his meal! I would love to return here and I recommend it to my fellow yelpers. read more

I mean this place is good but I wouldn't give it four stars at all it barely gets three stars, I had a salad. three tomatoes they were uncut and they weren't the baby tomatoes they were the medium sized tomatoes if I wanted to make my own salad Id stay home and, make it myself. Now I know this is a grill and not a fancy restaurant for the prices that they charge they should put the dressings in small little dishes instead of plastic containers especially if you're having food to stay no one wants to eat anything out of plastic especially if they are "dinning in".. Also my brother and I ate at the bar by the time we're finished with our meal I noticed that my bartender/waiter was completely gone and the check was in front of us, we weren't asked if we wanted any dessert or anything? ‍ I left a good tip because I've been in the restaurant /bartending business for over ten years This does not equal four stars. After watching a movie masterpiece, The Power Rangers, its always been a tradition to go out to eat. Nothing changes except the location and being a Yelper that's a good thing. I had this place bookmarked for over a year and it was finally time to check this place out. It was less then 5 minutes from Island 16 movie theater, this place is the perfect idea to come before a date. But it was just lunch today so I headed right over. Parking was a breeze and from the outside I felt under dressed. This place looked amazing. It almost looked like it belongs in Downtown Brooklyn or Manhattan. The inside was even nicer. I loved the feel of the place and enjoyed looking the pictures spread all over the restaurant for visitors to see. The hostess sat us and the waitress took our drink orders right away. I thought the waitress was nice, but she really didn't give our table to much attention even though the place wasn't that busy. However we got our appetizer order in quickly so waiting for her to take our main course order wasn't that bad. The nachos came to the table and I was surprised with the amount they brought over. It was a lot. Worth every penny. I really enjoyed the buffalo Chicken on it as well as the sauce they used. I was surprised because it had kick, but it wasn't strong. When my cheese steak came out, again I basked in the incredible bounty that was before me. They give out good portions at "Karvers." The philly lived up to the reviews from the past. It was tasty and the steak was juicy. I never did a philly cheese steak with american cheese, but I wasn't complaining. I ate it in seconds. It is on my top 5 philly cheese steaks. I recommend this place to anyone that want to eat good food. It's not a place I would watch sports at, but I definitely would bring a date or do a guys night out. read more

Ok, so we decided to try this place out. First, they give a placemat for kids to draw on, but provide no crayons. Really? The chicken tenders were good. The battered fries were very greasy, not good. Felt like we were eating better and not potato. Grilled chicken sandwich was just "ok", nothing special. French onion soup was good. Overall, the value was just ok. I typically don't write reviews but feel the need to after yesterdays experience. We have been to Karvers a few times and it's always good. We went the past two saturdays in a row, it's close the food & service are usually good it's a place you know you won't really leave disappointed. But the last two weeks I have to say have been exceptional. Since the pandemic started I know how hard it has been for businesses to find good help. Karvers seems to have lucked out big time in this area. Our waiter Shane who I believe is also the bar manager we were lucky enough to have the last two weeks in a row. He is amazing. He is the type of great help every restaurant owner thrives to find (my family has been in the industry since I was little so I know this first hand). He is on top of everything...food recommendations, refills of drinks, kindness, just enough personality to have a conversation with but not interrupt your dinner. He's the type of help that would make people want to go back to this restaurant every week. Forgot to take pics of our apps but here's put entrees that we're delicious! Never really thought anything of it...particularly because the shopping center off of Waverly is very hidden. Happy we stopped in...great bar atmosphere, laid back, and the food is really good. Good salad selection...and really good appetizer selection. If you're looking for bar food a step up from millers, this is the spot. Also the restaurant seems particularly well managed. What a great discovery... nothing better than finding an awesome restaurant only 10 minutes from your home. Me and my sisters were really in the mood to pig out and have a banging Sunday lunch.... and after some serious debating and shouting or options... we decided to go to Karvers and it was a good decision. I've always passed this place and thought it looked cool from the outside but never had a chance to go. Glad we finally did! The restaurant itself is very cool inside. Loved the feel and dark wood interior and bricks, almost like it was an upstate lodge. It seems like a type of restaurant for any occasion... as in you can go for a casual lunch like we did or go for a celebration lunch/dinner. I would def go there for like a holiday or to celebrate a birthday/event. I can see the place becoming more like that at night. Everyone was so nice, and the wait staff seemed to be passionate about the menu like they personally had favs. Now about the food. So delicious I don't even know where to start. We started with the boneless honey chipotle BBQ wings and they were SMOTHERED in the most delicious sauce. We all got burgers, and they were massive. I got the Baja because I can't pass up anything with avocado, and it was delicious. I also ordered the Karver Fries as a substitute .... and wow. They were VERY heavy but amazing mix of garlic and Parmesan. Would def recommend. We all had huge servings and I took half home bc it was so much food. We were all very happy with what we got and how fresh and delicious everything was. Will def be back at this place, I can see coming here on a Sunday again for a good big meal. Okay- this restaurant was already on my top 5 list, after tonight it's my #1. The menu is phenomenal- so much to choose from and anything I've had so far was delicious. Tonight, we came on a Saturday night (prime time). The place was packed and we had our 10 month old baby- originally we thought it may be too hectic. Wrong. We were seated in an area with such a nice space for the baby. Food was as great as always but my real review is about Shane- our waiter. He was truly unbelievable. We had our son in a booster seat and he asked if the baby would like some watermelon. I said yes we would love that- Shane not only got the watermelon. He had it cut up and deseeded. When we received our bill he did this complimentary. So thankful for this- kept the little guy busy so mom and dad could enjoy their meals. This might seen like a small gesture but we have been tons of places and never had anyone do that for us. We had a great night! Thank you Shane and thank you Karvers! read more

My boyfriend and I came here on 10/3/2019 for the first time after doing some looking for places around Medford with good happy hours. Good was an understatement! We came for happy hour around 6, it was crowded but not overpacked! The bartender was fantastic! The drinks were amazing and the food was absolutely delicious! And for such reasonable prices during happy hour! We got 3 drinks, dessert and 4 appetizers for only $52! Such a delicious place! My first time dining here and I would definitely recommend this place and will definitely be back. Awesome menu choices. We had the fried pickle spears for an appetizer and they were delicious. I ordered the skirt steak & it was cooked to my perfection. Loved the mashed potatoes & veggies it came with. My friend ordered the chicken Milenese and she said it was also delicious. The service was also excellent. They had a duo playing guitars & singing the GHT Guitar Guys whom we came to hear but it was a little too loud to totally enjoy them. Still a great total experience. Pretty cool neighborhood bar. I hiked out here from Nassau county to meet up with a friend, and we deccided to check out this place as we were impressed with the yelp reviews. Place itself reminds me of a outback steakhouse: casual, with a nice sized bar, with 3 tvs, extremely friendly and attentive staff. For a weeknight at 830pm, the place was more than half full. Drinks were pretty good: my friend had a cocktail (can't recall what it was),but she confirmed that it was strong and tasty. I stuck with beer: seems they have an extensive beer list. We shared some apps: honey bbq boneless wings and the Karver's fries (garlic and butter fries), both were excellent. We pretty much stayed until closing. I was completely impressed by how the barstaff did not rush us out, instead jokingly offered us more drinks. If I'm ever around the area again, I will come back and try a full dining experience. read more

Went last night for my husbands birthday. This was the 1st time we have been there, we loved it, food was great service was great. People there were very friendly and helpful. We had the option to sit inside or outside. We first decided to sit outside but it was just too hot, decided we would wait for inside, we were seated fairly quick. Loved how the manger was visible and talking walking around welcoming everyone. Our food was great and I appreciated the honesty of our waiter on what food was good. We will absolutely be back. Been here a few times now. Came here the other night for dinner and got the lamb burger. Portions were great size, was able to get onion rings instead of fries, and even left with leftovers.
