It was a really nice dinner with great food. I have to say that I felt kind of rushed. 2 different people came to our table and asked if they can take our plate when I was still picking and hanging out. They also were a little pushy for me to order when I was still looking at the menu. I was offered more time to order but they came back within 2 minutes. Relax! So....service wise, they were great. My gripe is with the buffalo chicken Mac and cheese that I ordered. Maybe it's just me, but I found it to be really soupy. Like they didn't drain out enough of the water after making the macaroni. Not sure if I'd go back. If I did, I probably wouldn't bother with the Mac and cheese again. Went out one night with the guys looking for something to eat. Happened to pass by and it instantly grabbed our attention. Place is warm and cozy, good hospitality, live music during our visit and multiple tv's to watch games on. But wait, the food is to die for especially if you have to order the Karvers Wings. I have been hearing nothing but rave reviews of Karver's Grille, so when I had the opportunity to go, I was ready for a really nice experience. I know this isn't a fancy place, but casual place for burgers, sandwiches, flatbreads and the like. I went with my mom and my daughter. We arrived just as it opened on a Saturday and we were warmly welcomed. We were starving, but we didn't want to order appetizers because we wanted to eat our meal. We got our drinks pretty quickly. then we placed our orders. I saw they had patty melts and that's exactly what I was in the mood for. My mom got one, too, but with a lamb burger instead. And of course fries. My daughter ordered a loaded flatbread. Well, it took 35-40 minutes to finally get our meal. We were just about ready to order some kind of chips to hold us over. We were all hungry so we dove into the fries. And they were lukewarm and because of that a bit tough. I wasn't going to say anything, but decided I needed to say something. I told our waitress and she apologized and went to get us a basket of fries. It did take a bit, but they were nice and hot and you could smell they were hot and fresh. We tasted the coleslaw and pickle which were both quite good. I picked up my burger and saw the bottom slice of bread was not grilled or toasted at all. It also had lettuce, tomato and sliced raw onions on it. Every patty melt I have gotten is usually rye bread or a good bread, a burger, Swiss and caramelized onions that have been grilled to seal them all together. This one had toasted bread that just stacked the other ingredients on them. The burger was ok, a little on the dry side. My mother's lamb burger was well done and she wanted rare. My daughter's flat bread was chock full of nice ingredients and she said it was quite tasty. I should have complained to someone, but by that time, I just wanted to eat and not to discuss this. Not sure if I'll try Karver's again, but may give it another shot. read more

I just left this restaurant about 10 minutes ago and I already wanted to put in my review. I just did a yelp search for "dinner by me" and Karver's popped up second on the list they provided me. I looked at a few of the reviews and told my boyfriend to pick between here and another restaurant that we frequent often. We flipped a coin, it decided Karver's for us, and we figured "let's try something new." For a Friday night, we had about a 45 minute wait, not too bad, with the bar to keep us occupied until our table was ready. Once we ordered, the food come quick and.....AMAZING!!! Excellent. I had the pulled pork Mac and cheese, which had a great flavor. My boyfriend had the skirt steak, suggested by the waitress, that he raved over. Excellent, excellent food! A great experience made even better by our waitress, Devin, who was so nice, and attentive as well! We cannot wait to come back here again! :) read more

This place is good! We came here for a birthday on a weekday and it was our first time trying the place we were impressed it's really good. The food came out pretty fast and everybody ordered a variety of options from fish to steak. Everyone's plate looked great. The waiters were very sweet and made sure we were tended to. Seating was fast. We made a last minute reservation and were seated the minute we walked in. The dessert menu had a wide variety of options. The tables did have a time limit. So don't expect to be there for an hour and change especially if you have a few people with you. That's the only reason I didn't give it five stars :( but all in all I was impressed at how amazing this local restaurant is and would definitely come back again. read more

We are loyal customers; every Saturday night we would chill yet the bar, get a delicious drink and laugh with the bar staff (Shane, Alex, Cheech) and order food to go. Friendly courteous staff seemingly well trained. NOISE is definitely an issue and Sound Baffles designed to integrate with the building materials would be a great idea and worthwhile investment but doubt it's on the to do list. A little pricey. I've been wanting to try this place since it's always packed and always at the top of the yelp page around my area all hyped up. I waited over an hour. The restaurant is nice inside but very loud and filled with sports crazy locals. The food is mediocre nothing special and honestly waste of my money and time. I should have just went to patchogue! but this place was so hyped up. Nachos were cold and they use the store bought nacho cheese instead of real shredded cheese. Nacho cheese makes the chips instantly soggy. Crab cakes didn't have enough crab and the "mustard sauce" tasted like just mustard. French onion soup was kind of salty The "gourmet" mac and cheese ..... really?? don't call it gourmet bc it's not at all it was actually slightly curdled and had no flavor. I make better home made mac and cheese. and have had better at other gastropubs! The worst part of it all was my Cosmopolitans. Not that much alcohol in it for a martini and the first glass was not filled to the top, looked like a quarter of it was missing ! OH but the second glass was filled to the top? That's terrible for business I'm never coming back here and wouldn't recommend it. Came in Wednesday (11/30) night for dinner and I've gotta say- Karvers Grille is absolutely fantastic! I had the Mac & Cheese burger and it was perfect. The cheese was creamy, the noodles perfect, and the burger itself tasted like it was ground fresh that day! Our waitress (can't remember her name, sorry!) was absolutely wonderful and was very attentive to our needs- was super quick with our drink orders and refills and clearly cares about her job! Took my family on Friday for the first time and I have to say the food was really good I had the filet mignon tips and everything from the vegetables to filet was cooked perfectly like the stew been on the stove for 18 hrs simmering. My wife had a scallop and pasta dish that was really good just needed a little lemon on the side. My wife absolutely loves the place. It's pretty good food, everything always tastes fresh. The service is good, and the beer is always cold. First time at karvers.. service was a 10 in my book. Our server was great and attentive. Now the food... I started with French onion soup which is my favorite.. I give it a 8 out of 10. The nacho with pulled pork 8 out of 10. My main meal was a pork dish that was a special.. so i would have given it a 9 out of 10 but the pork was over done..
